WASHINGTON (CNN) - The U.S. Navy denied Chelsea Clinton access to a former firing range in Puerto Rico on Wednesday, Navy officials said.
The Navy rejected the request because U.S. law forbids campaigning on federal property and because the Navy allows only people clearing the Vieques range of ordinance to enter the area, the officials said. They said they did not know what Clinton planned to do there.
The U.S. Navy used the long-controversial Vieques range - the majority of the island of Vieques - for bombing and artillery practice until May of 2003. It was the target of frequent protests by Puerto Ricans who objected to its use. It is now federal property being cleaned of unexploded ordnance.
Clinton - who has been campaigning for her mother, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton - is in the U.S. territory ahead of its June 1 primary. It is the largest prize left for the Democratic candidates.
Barack Obama's wife, Michelle, is also due to campaign there.

See, what I don't understand is why a campaign that's more than $20 million in debt is sending Chelsea Clinton, who is on leave from her big six-figure-income job with a hedge fund, on all of these paid vacations. She went to Hawaii, now Puerto Rico.
I'm not saying Hillary Clinton should drop out. But it would look a little better if they tried to rein in spending and pay some of the mom-and-pop vendors all over the country her campaign owes money to.

One thing that I do think important is all the Clinton supporters saying Obama supporters are being mean and should be nice to them. For every rude or hateful pro Obama supporter comment I can copy and paste one just as offensive from a Clinton supporter. The fact is this nomination has been very close and people are emotionally tied to their candidate. But the fact is the race is over and Clinton came close but Obama won by a nose. Disrespecting each other is simply immature and it's time for ALL Democrats to grow up and put the country first!

I'd like to know why the news media is reporting such insignificant events. The Clintons get more press coverage despite being the fact that they've lost. If they were any other candidate, they'd be written off, side-lined, and ignored by now. No one would call the win in WV a "crushing defeat". Come on now, it's a tiny state, with a tiny population, with a small demographic. It pales in comparison to Obama's win in North Carolina.
The way the news is reported, you'd think all those hardworking, uneducated whites, making under 50K a year work for cable news.

I was at a football game in West Virginia yeaterday. Late in the fourth quarter, team Hillary, down by 3 touchdowns, kicked a field goal.
Their fans went wild and said they were going to win the game. LOL!
