Obama shows he's committed to the party's overall good by agreeing to a joint fundraiser, which will help Hillary pay back some of her campaign debt.

Of course, Hillary supporters will only see this as a 'condescending' act by the arrogant Obama.

I'm not a Hillary Clinton supporter in any way, shape or form; but I suspect that her "choking up" this time might have been a reality surprise even to her. Chelsea cannot hide her adoration for her mother when she is in the audience or onstage. It literally shines from her face. So if Hillary doesn't win the nomination, which I hope she doesn't and it appears she won't, she will always have something some parents only dream of or get only from the family pet - unconditional love.

Sounds to me that the small ($10) monthly contribution that I was sending to the Obama campaign is now going to be shared with Hillary, the person I dislike and distrust. I am affraid this plan might cause some Obama donors to think twice before contributing to his efforts.

Yes, Obama who has the fundraising capability to do so, has come to the agreement with them while Hillary stayed silent.

Hillary's only agreeing to it now in hopesthat she can borrow from it. After all, her fundraising efforts have been less than fruitful.

I don't why any money should be redirected away from Obama to help out the Clinton's – who have over spent considerably, and who are multi, multi millionaires – it's an insult to the hard working people who donated their hard earned cash to Obama – I wouldn't want one cent of my money to help Clinton!

Two points;
1. Mrs. Clinton can't even pay for her own campaign, what makes anyone think she'll contribute to this fund.
2. Just because she signed an agreement, that doesn't mean anything either because her signature is worthless; ie, she put her signature on a Pledge that the MI and FL votes would not count.

I'm guessing that this is the politically correct way to say that the funds donated will be used to pay-off Hillary's 20 million dollar debt?

If so, then it serves as an excellent example in understanding the phrase that the "rich just keep getting richer".

I am totally amazed at the level of power that the Clinton's still have controlling the democratic party.

Some people will say that 20 million is a small price to pay to unite the party, but look at who intentially divided it up over the past 5 months.

Candidates do not need the party anymore to raise their cash. In the heated Dem race, contributors have donated directly to the candidate rather than the party. This is the preview of the death of the political party system. In the future, candidates will all run as independents, having no need for a party to support them financially, as they market themselves via the internet. They also get their funds via internet. The DNC needs Obama and Clinton's support, not the other way around.
