Edwards to endorse Obama

Edwards will endorse Obama, CNN has confirmed.

(CNN) - CNN has confirmed that former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards will endorse Barack Obama shortly at a Michigan campaign event.

The endorsement could help Obama reach out to white, blue-collar voters - a demographic group that Obama has failed to capture, most notably in the recent Pennsylvania and West Virginia primaries.

Edwards received 7 percent of the vote in Tuesday's West Virginia contest.

The former North Carolina senator had campaigned on the message that he was standing up for the little guy, the people who are not traditionally given a voice in Washington, and that he would do more to fight special interests.

After dropping out of the race on January 30, Edwards asked both Clinton and Obama to make poverty a central issue of the general election and a future Democratic administration, something both agreed to do.

Obama has had some of the most significant endorsements, and this one goes down as one of them. He can help Obama sharpens his message to working Americans. But I still believe the Richardson came at a crucial time.

That's great. I'm glad Edwards is finally endorsing, although it is a little late at this point.

I don't know why I keep posting comments. I put more thought into my comments than a lot of the stupid little comments by some who type in all caps or other's 4 word responses. I keep my comments brief and to the point.

But CNN has yet to ever post my comments.

IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO ENDORSES OBAMA HE WILL NOT GET THE MAJORITY OF HILLARY'S SUPPORTERS. WE JUST DON'T TRUST HIM OR BELIEVE IN HIM THE WAY YOU GUYS DO AND THAT IS OUR CHOICE. NO NEED TO NAME CALL WE JUST DON'T LIKE HIM.

There was an agreement to finish this as civilized as possible. Obama for president and Hillary for VP and a WH election fund. The seating of Michigan and Florida was agreed on as well. It's going to be a slow process in the next three weeks to keep the Democratic party on the headlines as much as possible. We might be able to salvage the election after all.

Looks like Obama just picked his running maid. Good pick. Hillary, please, please please, get a clue and get in line behind the ticket. We need you and Bill to rid our country of the last 20 years of right wing nut conservatism.

Obama is a typical male. Clinton gets a big win in WV, so he has to whip his out and show its bigger.

Now we can all see the reason why Edwards could not even win hirs own State when he was running with Kerry. No backbone. Bush had it right!! Have some backbone for heavens sakes!!! That is why he is a two term president. See all of Obamas endorsements. Kennedy, Richardson, Kerry, Edwards....... Count them all, and the only winner he has on his side is Ophra!!! The rest of them are all loosers. Psst. President Clinton: It's very lonely at the top. Isn't it???

We get it. The Democratic party is trying to get behind one candidate. But they're getting behind the wrong one. Too bad...

I am reading the comments and a lot of the women are really mad about this isn't your position typical? Get over it Hillary made not be the President of the U.S but it doesn't mean a women cannot be President just not this women. Other countries have chosen women presidents third world countries have and the male dominated culture is worst over there than over here. So I think it says more about the women running than the U.S or the people voting for obama.
