As a republican I can tell you that the only way the Dems will not take the White House is by keeping Hillary on any kind of ticket. Republicans don't just dislike Hillary, we despise her. The firestorm that will be started will be like nothing Dem has ever seen

It tickles me when people, white people, blame blacks or voting for Obama. We are only 14% of the nations population. Only a small % even bothers to vote. If he got 100% of all the black votes you people still have us by 5 to 1. If Slick Hillie looses this it will be because White people voted him in. Not us. It seems like you are always looking for someone to blame.

He should not at all. The idea of offering her the Vice Presidency as some sort of consolation prize for loosing a "hard fought" race is ridiculous. And outside of that, do people really think Hill/Bill would sit idly by, BELOW a former Jr. Senator, now as president? It wouldn't happen, and would be counter-productive. I also think it's ridiculous to think that Hillary is the only one with the keys to white, blue collar workers is ridiculous. When this is said and done, I think the best course for Hillary would be to finish her term in the senate, then run for Governor of New York.

I don't want Gov. Rendell either, he's a very divisive man and he said "whites would never vote for a black man" with a twinkle in his eye.

This man can not be trusted, and if PA wants a backwards governor, that's their business, don't push him on the national scene. He's clearly not ready for prime time, but I know there are some Klansmen who would love to have him as their leader.

.

There are a lot of people out there just like me.

I usually vote GOP in presidential elections.

I am looking for a reason not to this year. I could be persuaded to vote Obama.

I will never in a hundred years vote for Rodham-Clinton, or a ticket with her on it.

You can take that to the bank.

I don't think Hilary is qualified to be VP. Her voting record on Iraq, Iran, ect. suggest she will be another Cheney.
A vote for Hillary is a vote for Cheney. She surely shows that she is not above using fear, religious discrimination and cultural discrimination as a tactic to gain what she wants.

Kathleen Sebelius, the Governor of Kansas is my first choice for V.P. She handily defeated her Replublican rival, and in less than 2 years eliminated a billion dollar deficit without raising taxes.

The only way I see Senator Clinton become V.P. is if the "alleged" riff between her and Senator Obama's wife Michelle is extinguished, gracefully bows out after her Kentucky victory and then helps Senator Obama to "unify" the Democratic party. A party divided is a bad example for our wonderful nation and we need all of our Democratic leaders to put their best foot forward if we're to stand a chance against the McCain (Bush 3) political machine. Thank You.

OH NO. Maybe Rendell for VP but NOT THE CLINTON's. IT would be political suicide for Obama. They would work the back channels to their benefit to to Obama's demise.

THE BEST VP IDEAS. Hagel from Nebraska or the Gov Of Kansas or Ted Strickland from Ohio. I would be cool with any of these 3. However, if it must be a Clinton Supporter then I say Gov. Ed Rendell. He has some great background even if my fellow Obama supporters don't want to admit it.

Rendell would land Obama PA for Sure. He never said anything that was too bad to recover from. Clinton has said to many things that she can't take back now. I would be really let down if Clinton and her husband were added to the ticket. For the first time in 20+ years I HOPE THERE IS NOT A BUSH OR A CLINTON ON THE TICKET. THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME.

Obama should be able to pick the person that would best compliment his vision and that would not be Hillary. There are other canidates out here that could pull in the support on OH, PA, KY, and WV....the map is changing what about CO, NM, NV,VA.....or even MI? W should focus on the future not the past.

HELL NO!!! Hillary, is a disappointment and a disgrace to this great country. No to Ed Rendell as well, he is one of the reason why Hillary is acting all crazy! You have no right to tell Obama who to pick as is VP. Obama, we need change! Please do not nominate her as your VP, she is no good, she is a Bigot and a Race Baiter. ”Dream Team” more like “Dumb Team”. Obama, please get a Food Taster in case you make the silly mistake and she becomes your VP. A word to the wise.
Congratulation Obama, we are almost home!

She and her henchmen introduced race to the campaign.

I think not, absolutely not. I will never vote for any ticket with Clinton on it because along with Hillary comes Bill. It would be ludicrous of Obama to think of such a thing. We hate her.

She does not want him to win, and if she's on the ticket she will "help" him by pushing him over a cliff. Absolutely no Hillary on any Democratic ticket because she is poison.

Obama should pick Hillary for VP if he wants to win. He will not get full party support (which he must have) without her. He needs to listen to someone other then his wife. shes not the candidate!!! He is.

two superdelegates, Pete Visclosky, representative of Indiana, and Christine Schon Marque, the chairwoman of Democrats Abroad (whose voice counts for half a vote) endorsed Sen. Obama today.

Also, those two remaining superdelegates from the youth vote demographic decided to support Mr. Obama. Lauren Wolfe and Awais Khaleel, president and vice president of the College Democrats of America, made their official statement via a YouTube video.

Why is CNN not reporting this???

The Democratic Party, wih its caucuses, apportioned delegates, super delegates and elimination of Michigan and Florida from the electorate has utilized a nominating process that mayl come back to haunt it in the general election. This process has created a leading candidate who has serious shortcomings in attracting the mainstream voter. Having a college education and a high income does not increase the value of a vote. It was these maintream voters who turned the tide in the last two general elections. The Republican Party will againdo very well with middle American voters and the Democrats must find a way to appeal to them as well. The Democrats must lean a bit to the right here. If not they may find themselves on the outside looking in-- again.

Not going to happen - plain & simple. She represents everything that he doesn't. As far as the "white" vote I believe he's gotten that or he wouldn't be ahead in the POPULAR vote all you einsteins out there. The Democratic party needs to worry about the "black" vote that Hillary cannot even buy @ this point. Remember Bill won in 1996 w/out the majority of the "white" vote. You want to know why because of the "black" vote. Also, for all the women who will vote for McCain, who will not vote for Obama or will not vote @ all - consider this the next president will appoint the next Chief Justices. So whether you are pro-life or pro-choice do you honestly want Roe vs. Wade to be overturned?

The differences are visible even on their signs...

Obama's signs have a big "CHANGE" as the most visible component...

Clinton's have a big "HILLARY" as the most visible component...

In the face of such blatant egotism, how the heck can Obama expect to be President unfettered by egomaniacal attempts to take the reins?

Why should he ask her to be his V.P.? If she was in the lead I don’t think she would ask him. Not only that with everything that she has said and done, doing this campaign I look at her and her family very differently. I don’t think they really care about African Americans until it’s convenient. She lies, he cheats and they want to be considered the first family again. I think that it time for a change a total change. The old way doesn’t work let’s try something new.

Dear Kentucky man.
When Obama gets the nomination, the party will pull together. Ten million people will not be switching sides. They will vote for our Democratic principals; not against Sen Obama.
However, if by some stretch of theimagination, you are correct. Those who choose to note vote or who vote against Obama, will be choosing to vote against the Democratic party and principles deserve the goverment (Bush-3rd term) that they will get. Unfortunately, those of us who believe in the Democratic principles and vote that way would also lose.
By the way I am a 60 year old white female.

I became a DEM this season basically because I was wowed by both Obama and Hillary.

I never wanted Hillary to be the VP, i get the argument that it might undermine the efforts of the President.... But I no longer have that concern.

It is fairly evident that Obama needs the base that Hillary brings to the voting both. He also wants a VP that can rally support for HIS ideas and the direction in which he plans on steering the country.

Even the pestering and most times annoying Bill Clinton adds value to the ticket. He will help raise money, he has friends in the senate that he might be able to sway.

Remember people..... it takes but one or two senators to completely sink an initiative or a bill on the floor. If you REALLY want change, an Obama/Hillary/Bill (lol) ticket should get a lot of work done in 4 years... let alone 8!!

I say go Obama, go Hillary...... and go away Bill until someone asks for your opinion.

matt from NY....... a converted Republican!

Be practical people. All the democrats see are the democrats. You have lost sight of the fact that Obama has support from only 1/4 of the voters. Obama can barely win his own party. I know that by democratic standards Bush isn't smart enough to be a dog catcher, but yet somehow he got elected TWICE. That's because a LOT of people aren't democrats!! Be smart, THINK!! Obama needs to come to the center to win in November, and the road to the center runs through Clinton. If the liberal left doesn't stop trying to hijack the democratic party, and get their heads and @sses out of the clouds, the democrats are doomed in November.

Both Barrack and Hilary are superb candidates. There are no logical reasons to hate either one of them. Every Hilary supporter that says that he won't vote for Obama and every Obama supporter that says that she won't vote for Clinton is immature, plain and simple. When will the American people grow up? The issues are way more important then this American Idol type popularity competition that seems to be the premise behind most of the comments on this post.

To both Obama and Hillary supporters. If we do not support the democratic nominee then we stand to deal with another four more years or possibly eight. Is that what we want. The healthcare needs to be fix.. The economy stinks so bad that yen is far more valuable then the dollar.
We are missing the point. If we don't support the nominee we are going to be regretting the decision we made by not voting. I am an Obama supporter, if Hillary wins the nomination I will support her. I don't want to see this country in the hands of another republican.

It will be very weak ticket.Obama needs someone with REAL expirience, governor or veteran.Jim Webb who will help to cary Virginia
for example.
I can imagine republicans adds where Hillary is bashging Obama and praise Mccaine expirience.
Hillary lost her chances to be a VP couple month ago campaining dirty against Obama.
Jim Webb,Randel,Sibelius but not Clinton. She will energize republican base.

The white uneducated voter base of Hillary Clinton will vote for a canned ham or a six pack of cheap beer as long as it isn't black. However, many of Hillary’s 'other' supporters have proudly proclaimed that they would vote for John McCain WHEN Senator Obama wins the nomination. I wonder if they would feel so high and mighty if they ran the risk of driving over a road-side bomb on the way to their botox appointment or the 'Sex in the City' movie premiere in their soccermom mobile -

Do her supporter realize she said the low income and uneducated people vote for her and when I looked at them last night thats exacly what they look like, like my mom said they are not smart enough to know she's insulting them, if I did not have a college degree after saying that I would be smart enough not to vote for her, what an insult.

She won by 88% in Mingo Co., 84% in Logan Co., and 80% in Wyoming Co: all in the sw right next to Kentucky. There's about 10 more counties where she beat him by 50%. Let's see you say you've won on may 20th now, Sen. Obama. " It ain't over til the lady in the pantsuit says it's over." See you in Kentucky!

Having Hillary as a VP would be like being friends with someone that ridiculed you as a child but admires you as an adult because of your accomplishments. The thought defies what Sen. Obama is all about. Change. Not sacrifice to please the voters out there who will not be satisfied because they see skin color and not political stance as the actual issue. Alot of people are scared of change. There is no need to be. Open your eyes your ears and your hearts and than make a decision. Do not settle Sen. Obama Hillary is not in your corner and anyone that doubts you without knowing what your about isn't either. www.barackobama.com Educate yourself.

As a Republican I don't really care for McCain. I believe that Obama is the right person to reach out to Republicans, Democtates and Independants. With all the issues we are facing as a nation we need for our government to unify and accomplish something.

If Hillary is added to the ticket as the VP, as much as I hate to, I would vote for McCain - as a vote against Hillary.

We have already had "Billary" in the white house. What we need is someone who "doesn't have an ax to grind". We need NEW leadership. A FRESH vision for our nation. I just wish that we could replace all of the "old" thinkers in the House and Senate.

My hope is that Obama can get these people to focus on the issues and actually do something.

As a Pennsylvanian, I really do not understand Rendell's popularity. He is king of big city (Philly only) smoke-filled backroom politics. He has done nothing to support Higher Education in this state and ran on a platform of bringing gambling to PA. He is as bad a choice of VP as Hillary Clinton is.

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is a great choice for VP. She neutralizes all the women that only voted for Clinton because she is female but adds a lot more respect. The only issue is that she doesn't have a military background.

My suggestion to Obama - don't just announce your VP...announce half your cabinet as well. From the very beginning say the Sebelius will be your VP, Clinton will be your Sec. of Health and Human Services, Gore as your Sec of Energy, Richardson for Homeland Security, etc. Lock it in from the beginning and make them all stump for you.

The new JFK (that is what the Kennedy's are touting) and LBJ. I like it. Obama needs to worry about the KKK more so than Clinton. The secret service detail already told them that they will take him out before he sets a foot in the White House.

I am totally confused.
Did he said that Obama should pick Hilary as VP.
I can vividly recall when Hilary won the Ohio and Texas Primary, the question was that Hilary shold be the president while Obama becomes the VP. By then Obama was still winning. She never wanted the VP position then. My question and concern is, how come she is fighting so hard now for the VP spot?

I don't think Hilary should demand that she becomes VP. The Nominee has the power to choose anyone deem fit to be his or her VP.
This is the same manupilation and demanding attitude we have seen from the Clintons.
The Clintons have divided this country and we have all seen this during the West Virgina primary, where she told the whole world that WHITE America will not vote for a black man.

I don't think the media should give a blind eye to those comments of hers. This is very seriuous. Imagine if Obama have said that Black America will not vote for a white woman.(What would have been the story today).
CNN is one of the most bias media outlet of our times. We have to report accurately and fairly about both candidates.
She has destroy the democratic party, and I don't think she should demand for the VP spot, she doesn't deserve to be a VP or the President.
It would not work. There are so many qualified individuals who are ready and capable to be a running mate for Obama.

She has been too negative and she still is.
