Biden calls Bush comments 'bulls**t'

Biden had some strong words for the president.
Biden had some strong words for the president.

(CNN) - The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Joe Biden, D-Delaware, called President Bush’s comments accusing Sen. Barack Obama and other Democrats of wanting to appease terrorists "bulls**t” and said if the president disagrees so strongly with the idea of talking to Iran then he needs to fire his secretaries of State and Defense, both of whom Biden said have pushed to sit down with the Iranians.

“This is bullshit. This is malarkey. This is outrageous. Outrageous for the president of the United States to go to a foreign country, sit in the Knesset…and make this kind of ridiculous statement,” Biden said angrily in a brief interview just off the Senate floor.

“He’s the guy who’s weakened us. He’s the guy that’s increased the number of terrorists in the world. His policies have produced this vulnerability the United States has. His intelligence community pointed that out not me. The NIE has pointed that out and what are you talking about, is he going to fire Condi Rice? Condi Rice has talked about the need to sit down. So his first two appeasers are Rice and Gates. I hope he comes home and does something.”

He quoted Gates saying Wednesday that we “need to figure out a way to develop some leverage and then sit down and talk with them.”

    bulls**t is right!

    also...
    FYI, CNN.
re: 'Calif. same-sex marriage ban struck down' story...

On July 20, 2005, Canada became the fourth country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide with the approval of the Civil Marriage Act. Not just BC, Ontario and Quebec.

    Please get you facts straight.

Good for Biden. It is about time the Democrats came out with some strong language against this insanity.

Biden is right. Bush has taken us down a dark, deadly road. He has lessened our strength. He has made us a mockery in the world. McCain will lead us farther down this road and it could lead to our destruction. There is no "appeasement". It's just makes good strategic sense.

Good for you Joe...that's the kind of backbone I've been wanting to see from Democrats for the last 7 years

Now if you will just not turn around and apologize for the remark tomorrow...I'll be happy

Good for you, Senator Biden! It's about time someone got pissed off. He just said what we were all thinking. Probably not a good idea to cuss, but if that's what gets the message across – that conservative foreign policy is the reason we're in such a mess right now, and Bush and the G.O.P. are hypocrites and liars for trying to pin it on liberals – then so be it. Once again, Good for you, Joe.

Negotiations are the more civilized sensible thing to do. We do not need another military engagement at this time. It is possible to make desired progress with patience. TALK! TALK! TALK! now and it may surprise all what can be achieved.

I do think that sitting down and talking to leaders of other countries would be the wise thing to do. If you went to the table with carrots and sticks as Hillary said. ( such as Iran)

But I am against sitting down with People like Hamas. He would never make an agreement that he intended to keep. People like him only have hate and destruction on thier mind. You would have to be a fool to trust them. Did the terrorist talk to us before 9-11 ? They had no reason to attack us like that. (that was before Iraq remember?) These people would see that as an act of weekness or fear. They know where the United states stands, let them make the first move. Then we would be in a better position to set the ground rules.

Typical statement by a Democrat. Biden has his head so far up the posterior of the left that he's beginning to see images of Hillary and Obama.

My initial reaction when I heard the President's comments this morning was one of disgust. When is he going to learn to keep his trap shut concerning things that take place at home. Why would he air our laundry in a foreign country anyway? Hasn't he learned "anything" these past eight years?

Biden the man. Bush wants to campaign for McCain but he does not know where to start. If he starts in the United States, the American people will boo him. He decided campaigning in foriegn country instead. Those people will probably vote McCain in the White House. LOL

We don't have any business talking to Iran other than to draw a line in the sand of what we will allow and what we wont. There is nothing to talk about. They want western civilization to be wiped off the map. The radical Islam leaders actually believe that God wants us all dead. So just what does Joe, one the far left, plan to do? Is he going to go over there and quote bible scriptures to them? Maybe they can all sit around a camp fire and sing "If I had a hammer". These guys are bad news and have no interest at all in doing anything constructive with us.

It may not be 'Politically Correct', but perhaps America needs a bit more of Joe Biden's brand of direct response to the garbage that our peace-seeking-war-mongerer of a President keeps spewing.

This is new? Most of what comes out of W's mouth smells like manure. I'm surprised it took this long for it to be appropriately characterized in public. BTW, no need to censor it at this point. Biden's comment was much more subdued than what I hear from the general public....
