Biden calls Bush comments 'bulls**t'

Biden had some strong words for the president.
Biden had some strong words for the president.

(CNN) - The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Joe Biden, D-Delaware, called President Bush’s comments accusing Sen. Barack Obama and other Democrats of wanting to appease terrorists "bulls**t” and said if the president disagrees so strongly with the idea of talking to Iran then he needs to fire his secretaries of State and Defense, both of whom Biden said have pushed to sit down with the Iranians.

“This is bullshit. This is malarkey. This is outrageous. Outrageous for the president of the United States to go to a foreign country, sit in the Knesset…and make this kind of ridiculous statement,” Biden said angrily in a brief interview just off the Senate floor.

“He’s the guy who’s weakened us. He’s the guy that’s increased the number of terrorists in the world. His policies have produced this vulnerability the United States has. His intelligence community pointed that out not me. The NIE has pointed that out and what are you talking about, is he going to fire Condi Rice? Condi Rice has talked about the need to sit down. So his first two appeasers are Rice and Gates. I hope he comes home and does something.”

He quoted Gates saying Wednesday that we “need to figure out a way to develop some leverage and then sit down and talk with them.”

I couldn't agree more with Senator Biden. Bush is a complete joke. Nobody takes anything he says seriously anyway.

  6. If only

If only the DNC had not swiftboated Hillary Clinton.

If only Obama hadn't played and overplayed the race card.

If only the drooling media hadn't trashed Hillary.

Then Obama would still have MY vote.

    FOOD FOR THOUGHT ===============

Why is Bush negotiating with North Korea at the moment if talking to our enemies is sooooo bad? Is North Korea not supposed to be part of the axis of evil along with Iran & Syria?

Why did Bush strike a deal with Ghadafi of Libya? Did he not arrange the mid-air bombing of Pan Am flight over scotland, among other terrorist acts?

Why is Bush paying and negotiating with the Iraqi insurgents? Have they ceased to be terrorists?

    Hypocrisy!!!

the GOP will use and say anything to destroy our democracy... (who do they remind you of.. power at all cost..)

    Remember they will use:

    fear
    lies
    fear
    lies
    racism
    division
    isms

that is their trademark, we know who use that and what the end results are........this is the USA, and we have come a long way so for the GOP and the clitnonistas to continue to use these isms and tactics, is unacceptable

Yes We Can _ the American people are not stupid as some have implied _ (winnk wink, Bush, Clinton, Limbaugh, McCain, Billy boo, and the far right..)

Bush "has increased the number of terrorists in the world"??! I beg to differ.

I think it's obvious that the liberals caused this increase - the terrorists get so irritated when they hear that gay marriage has been upheld in California, that they abandon their families and devote their entire lives to jihad against the U.S.

    They really hate our freedoms.

  14. God sent him

Joe, Mr. Bush won't do anything re fireing Condi or Gates. He is the worst President the US ever see and if the people go for Mccain he will be the second worst.

Fidel Castro said in his speach 2000 when Bush won the election in the Supreme Court. Quote " I hope he is not as stupid as how he look" He did prove to the world that he is stupid. I am not suprise with his speach in Israel.

GO, JOE! I would have voted for you for President.

But as long as you're at it, why don't you take McCain to task for the Hamas BS he's trying to smear Obama with.

McCain is dishing the same right-wing, fear-mongering filth that comes out of the Bush administration.

Wouah, well I thought GWB had said it all, but NOOOOO, he comes back for the Home run.
And the worst isn't that he said it, it is all those people who actually agree with what he said...those people should get some history courses!!!

  17. Getting tired of this

I'm starting to feel good about Obama's chances now. As the Republicans steep themselves in Karl Rove's dog-eared playbook of fear and smear, the country has moved on and too many Americans will simply not allow ourselves to be duped by that kind of politics. Not this time.

You've played the fear card a few too many times folks and it increasingly reflects on your lack of respect for the American voter and your lack of leadership rather than having the effect you want it to.
A united party of Obama, the Clintons, Edwards, Biden, Richardson, Pelosi, et al are about to sweep the floor with you. Enjoy early retirement

THANK YOU Senator!! I am so glad that somebody will check this moron on his rhetoric. Diplomacy is one of the national elements of power. How can we use it if we refuse to talk to anyone? Wasn't it President Kewnnedy who said, "We should not talk out of fear but we shouldn't be afraid to talk."

There will be a backlash against Obama in Nov.

He should not have played the race card.
