Obama picks up four more superdelegates

(CNN) – Barack Obama picked up four more superdelegates Thursday, his campaign announced.

Washington Rep. Jim McDermott, California Rep. Henry Waxman, California Rep. Henry Berman and Communications Workers of America President Larry Cohen will all cast their superdelegate votes for the Illinois senator.

Waxman and Berman both have ties to the Clintons, and many of their prominent supporters in California are supporters of Hillary Clinton.

The CWA said Thursday that Cohen's endorsement is a personal one and does not signal an endorsement by the union, which decided last year that it would not back a candidate. In a Thursday release, the union said that decision would be re-visited at its June convention.

According to CNN's estimate, Obama now has 291 superdelegates to Clinton's 274.

    Well, since Clinton was the one to say it during super Tuesday, I guess it has come back to haunt her;

    "small states don't matter"

So I guess this includes the big win in West Virginia.

Senator McCain in following in President Bush footsteps. Arrogance and force does not make peace, but further antagonize the opposition. If the GOP plans to use ignorance to win the election, there is something to say about the electorate.

As a canadian , I feel very sad by the way this campaign is hurting the Democratic party.
Mrs. Clinton should step down and give her support to Senator Obama
for the good of the party.

    It's the Obama choo-choo train.

Let's get this general election started and wipe the floor w/McSame and Bush. Bush, I don't take to kindly to you insulting President Obama and the Democrats like that. You won't be talking as much when he puts you on trial for war crimes.

These would have carried more weight if they had come earlier. Now they just look like parasites lining up for a seat at the table.

And what about the Obamabots' cry that superdelegates follow the will of the people? By the latest count, if superdelegates had voted with their states, Hillary would be ahead. I guess the "will of the people" only counts if it puts Obama ahead. Face it, Obama is just another politician – only without any experience or record to fall back on. If this guy is President, he'll be a disaster.

Its in the bag for Obama .. been that way ever since Edwards supported him.

Those of Hillary's supporters that say they will vote McCain to get back at Obama are like the way she described them.. 'uneducated white voters'.

Its unsurprising how the educated voter can see past the skin color and the usual political rhetoric. while the uneducated fall at the first hurdle... they only see a black man.

The light at the end of the tunnel for the republicans is the democratic train that is going to run them down this fall and the traindriver is Obama.

This is just a trickle, soon the superdelegates will come Obama's way and get this over with. Why are they appeasing Hillary?
