John Edwards is a joke! He even admitted as late as Monday he wasn't prepared to endorse anyone and now he backs Obama because he's worried that Hillary's landslide victory in W. Virginia could cause a divide. He endorsed Obama for his own political gain. I smell set up. I'm disgusted with the DNC right now.

Hillary has devoted her entire life to public service and I for one respect her and support her.

When a large union endorses a candidate it doesn't reflect the individual votes of the members. I belong to such a union and we were not consulted before the union made their endorsement. The announcement just came down from the ivory tower in which the union bosses live. Their endorsement is based on who will be most likely to punish large companies (the idea being that union members benefit from this).

Listen ladies for Hillary, Rov vs Wade is more important that electing Hillary Clinton. Wake up. John McCain is not pro-choice. I personally do not want my daughter to have to live in a world without choices. And you shouldn't either.

Mr. Obama is a great genuine and respectful, humble person. Thank you so much to those who have endorsed him! He listens to the people, and he will try his best! He's not a part of the same old politics, he will work hard for us, he took no money from special interests and lobbiests, he owe's them nothing!

OK Hillary, now you need to step down. You are not more electable than Obama. Face it, you've lost and we would like to get away from the old, inefficient, nasty ways of American politics of which you and your ilk had a hand in creating.

Write in for Hillary? Get a grip on yourself and move on.

I have all but conceded the race to Senator Obama. But I do laugh at the stock taken by endorsements for any candidate by an individual having that big an impact on American voters. I hope that we all have our own voice.
But let's say I'm wrong for a moment- Sen. Obama has received the endorsement of Gov. Richardson- losing candidate for president, Sen Edwards- two time losing cnadidate for president, Sen. Kennedy- losing candidate, Sen. Kerry- losing candidate, Sen Dodd- losing canddidate, Sen Bradley- losing candidate- should I continue? When Carter comes out officially for Obama he will at least have one winner in his corner - a man trounced in his re-election.
Maybe Hillary should throw one final coal on the fire-
"Obama- endorsed by more losers than me!"

Consider this about the states that Obama won with high percentages.

* Virgin Islands (89.9%)
* Idaho (79%) -
* Hawaii (76%) -
* Alaska (75%)
* District of Columbia (75%)
* Kansas (74%)
* Washington (68%)
* Nebraska (68%)
* Minnesota (67%)
* Colorado (67%)
* Georgia (67%)
* Illinois (65%)
* Virginia (64%)
* Maryland (62%)
* North Dakota (61%)
* Wyoming (61%)
* Mississippi (61%)

Many of these states have large black populations, mid-western relations with Illinois and/or affluent/starbucks drinking Democrats. We cannot win the in November with only these voters and keep in mind these voters will vote Democrat whether its Obama or Clinton, it is the other voters we need to be worried about.

This is just my opinion, I think this is the most exciting primary in years. Speaking as a voter in a state that used to have a late primary I can say it is extremely frustrating when the nomination has already been determined before I even had a chance to vote. I believe this is the reason for such high turn out is not the excitement of one candidate but the excitement that their state matters their vote will count. The democrat party will come together in the end. It is the independent votes they need to worry about

With that said the democrat party needs to serious look at how the delegates are divided in the future. If they had the same winner take all system as the republicans Clinton would be up by almost 400.

Either way I think I am leaning for McCain because we created a mess in Iraq and no matter how much I disagree with what happen over there I believe we need to stay and clean up the mess we made

Will you people please stop trying to scare all women into thinking McCain will overturn Roe v Wade????? Sorry, but what he wants to do is STOP late term abortions. And allow the babies that survive to continue to live. Unfortunately BO would rather the babies that survive late term be killed. FYI.
Do you really think women in America would allow Roe to be overturned?

When Edwards was in the race, he went after Obama about all his "present" votes. Obama was afraid to make a yes or no vote and still is. Why does Edwards think Obama is so great now?

Christopher (In Edwards Endorses Obama)

Honestly, think about it. You and other people who are talking about how Barack is getting 90% of African American votes are NOT taking into consideration that African Americans make up a small percentage of the total overall votes. Let me put it this way---to make this simple--if 500 African American voters voted in a primary and 2500 whites voted in a primary...then you might hear 90% of the African Americans voted for Obama and 10% for Clinton. As for whites, 60% for Clinton and 40% for Obama. These numbers, in the first place (500 and 2500) are clearly not even in the same proportion. If there were 2500 African American voters and equally 2500 white voters, then maybe you're argument could be more sound because there is equal playing ground, but it's simply not that way. With 2500 African American votes and 2500 white votes, I guarantee you the numbers would be different.

I am 100% for Obama, and it is time for all democrats to unite. Althought I do not support Hillary, I can respect her efforts and determination. If she had been the winner, I would have been very disappointed, but I would have taken my disappointment right into the booth and voted for her in November.. There is NO WAY I would vote for MCBush out of spite. It is not only my future at stake, by my children's and grandchildren's as well. They deserve better than another Bush/McCain term. None of us could survive that.

I strongly encourage all DEMS to let go of the anger, bitterness, namecalling, ugliness and nastiness and racism and remember our common purpose. We have to opportunity to elect a president who will work the for good of all people.

We Obama supporters welcome everyone to join in and let's make it happen.....let's welcome President Barack Obama!

All Aboard!!!!!!

I have to agree with some other posts who replied to PSmith: If you don't think Hillary (and Bill) are thugs, then you are a few bricks shy of a load! Do some research on the backgrounds of the two candidates and then tell me that Hillary isn't the one who is a "thug" as you so eloquently put it!

Also, to Chrissy, TX: There are plenty of educated women with brains and common sense would not vote for Hillary if she was the only candidate on the ballot! She is a proven liar, has more skeletons in her closet than a Halloween store, and is no more ready to run the country than she was to run a campaign...which she failed miserably.

So much for poor working family rhetoric by Edwards. His support of Obama flies into the face of America's working family who put their support behind Hillary for the hope of health care for all.
This Dem is stying home on November.

and to Matt from Dallas, if you have not gotten it by now, you will never ,because you don't want to.

I guess you enjoyed the 4 years BUSH gave us. Grow-up please, you really sound like a goof!!! Write Hillary name on the ballot; What kind of foolishness is that, if she's not on the general election ballot. You already know what you will get from McCain. Dem/ and Independents let's not make foolish suggestions like CRACK HEAD PSmith suggest. Unified Dem party with the addition of our Independent brothers and sisters, we will have a fighting chance for the future (Yes We Can!!!) PSimth, I know a drug abuse therapist who can help you with your CRACK inhaling problem - You Geek Monster. BAM!

"Why should I jump in the bus of such selfish haters and support their candidate when they show no respect for others positions and opinions. Obama followers behave like kids without political maturity based on emotions."

Because we are on the same bus!!! Obama's and Clinton's views are very similar. Clinton supporters who deflect in November are the ones who will be voting based on their emotions!

You are nuts we also believe in issues and positions not only in personality and speeches Obama has to do a more better job to prove that he is more than pretty speeches and betraying his family members when he is a potientianl risk, where are his moral values....

Hillary's contention that Obama cannot win the white American vote is absurd. Obama won 79% of the vote in Idaho and Idaho is 87% white. Many people can see through Hillary's semi-truths to down right lies. We want someone who will tell us the truth, we've had 8 years of lies and look where that has gotten us. OBAMA!

I have a college education and I'm smarter in making Hillary my choice for President. No inside backroom politics by the same old party elders that Barack Obama says he wants to change, will make me ever vote for him. The Democratic party insults Americans and we will not have our votes manipulated and they have done just that.

BUSH IS AN EVIL MAN AND WE WILL NOT ALLOW HIS FAILED POLICIES CONTINUALLY DESTROY OUR NATION AND OUR CHILDREN'S HOPE FOR PEACE AND PROSPERITY. MY DECEASED FATHER RETIRED AS A STEELWORKER(AFLCIO) AND HE WOULD EXPECT ME TO VOTE OBAMA.

I hope Obama picks Edwards as his VP. Edwards didn' take PAC money. Yesterday was a big day with a lot of details about policy...the manufacturing plan for green cars will begin to be negotiated the very first month, healthcare by summer, 1-2 brigades per month troop relief/withdrawal beginning immediately, reducing hunger/poverty over decade in half, torture will be gone and the integrity of the constitution restored with a single hand on a bible, promising to safeguard and protect America. Imagine how fast this great experiment can produce real results with many of these big corporations, gently brushed aside.
