What about McCain's POW experience I read that he was a "songbird" to the viet-cong for special treatment. Is it true? What about Cindy McCains sale of Suden investments why? What about her tax returns? I think that there are too many secrets with McCain he has flip-floped when it suits him. I hope CNN can find veterns who know about his POW days.

Bush brought us into a reckless war. Cheney doesn't know how to use his hunting rifle properly. Sounds a little reckless to me. Personally, I think we need to have the courage to let somebody try to take this country in a new direction. I am a white, over 50 female, that is "bitter" about what has happened to our country. Let's all find the courage to give Obama a chance to try to bring some dignity back to our country.

Obama's foreign policy positions I believe will be reckless. Hillary is the best candidate for president and I'll stand with her till the end. She is tough, smart and has a vision for this country that she can
deliver on. The media made sure a woman wasn't going to get that
chance. WHAT A SHAME...

if obama, or hillary wins ALL women mays as well start turning in their drivers license, burn their college degrees and start 'burkah' shopping, because neither one of them really have the remotest ability, training, or experience to take on the powers that are determined to do this country in.

it seems that the obama, in particular really miss the fundamental issue here, and that is that this country has enemies that truly mean to take us down. if osama bin-laden ever had a thought to come to 'the table' and talk things out, he certainly had every opportunity to do so, long before gw came to office. thankd bc.

bin-laden, and those like him, recognized or otherwise, are not the type to sit down to tea and discuss the issues like reasonable people. that is why they are supporting terrorism, and if you think 9/11 was the end-all, just wait....

that was a test run, and we are the fools if we think that we can or should glom onto the ideals of left-wing, 'pie-in-the-sky' ideology (that would be the democratic platform) that we can convince them that we can in fact 'all get along.'

it ain't gonna happen, and it will get uglier for all americans if hillary or obama actually make it into office.

i have never felt so afraid for this country's safety as i do now. i would vote mccain, as the mature( that does have it's benefits), experienced defender of his country (can't really call that into question, now can we?).

Really, if you dems think that the older, war heroes have no relevant experience to bring to the table, then why don't YOU go defend this country in the most authentic way a person can, instead of just reaping the benefits of this country's hard fought for freedoms, then you come back and tell us all how to do it. If you really believe that war can be shut down, and never occur again, then i want to smoke what your smoking (can't promise i won't inhale), cause history, and reality...yes that ugly word 'reality' , says it is a neccessary evil, and the best we can do is always be prepared, and that just isn't on the democrats agenda......ever.

yeah, what was Obama's wife thinking?

Huckabee, Bush, Rove, McCain, ... these great statesmen of the 21st century should make us all proud to be Americans.

The rest of the world must really envy us too. They're probably really happy that these are the men running the most powerful nation on the planet.

lucky us.

After the mess the Republicans have made of foreign policy what they thiink abou tthe porper way to handle things is completely irrelevant to me. After 8 years of Bush we are the most hated, disrespected country on the planet. Now the Republicans have the utter gall to say how diplomacy should be handled.

I have a suggestion about the proper way to handle foreign diplomacy - let the democrats do it!!!!

McCain and Bush are making us enemies! In the 80's Americans were viewed as beacon of the world! Now I can't even travel the world because McCain and Bush are making us enemies at every corner of the world. Get these neo-conservatives or more like fascist behaving people out and return America back to its great and wonderful people!

Will someone remind Sen MCCain that President Eisenhower responded with dialogue with Khrushchev when he told Western diplomat Henry Cabot Lodge that we will bury you(talking about the US), President Kennedy responded with dialogue and negotiated with Khrushchev when it was learned that nuclear weapons were 90 miles off the coast of Florida, President Nixon responded with dialogue with China when they said they were going to destroy the US.

I can;t help feeling a little like an inferior being when I read the Roderick of the Republican party comments. Its as if I have been on another planet for the last eight years and someone is trying desperately to tell me in there version why everything is so screwed up in the world,I have news for the GOP, I was here and I know why. VOTE for OBAMA this November and maybe we will get things on track again.

Yea McCain, I hear you. Not talking to these people has really helped us over the last 7.5 years. By not talking these people, we have made extensive progress. We have gained Middle East peace, Iran is now our friend, Iraq is a great democracy., Israel is no longer threatened by terrorists ..wait, who am I kidding.

This is why I will not vote republican. A smart person would attempt to use every tool available to him or her to bring peace to a region desperately in need of it. And guess what, that includes dialog too. Let me ask this to any one who takes John McCain seriously; What has NOT talking to these people brought us as Americans? Ask your self that..my friends...my friends....my friends...here's a little straight talk...my friends...my friends...

1. The "fear" prophesies worked very well for Rove in 2000 and 2004.
2. Rove thinks it will play well again.
3. Fear/national security gets McCain elected.
4. Congress is finally ruled by the Democrats, who indict the whole lot of them.
5. President McCain pardons them all before they serve a day for their treason to this country and war crimes against humanity.
6. VOTE DEMOCRATIC, and do it fast or bombing Iran will be the least of the crimes that continue in the US and abroad perpetrated by this government.

Of course Obama is an appeaser.

He tries to be all things to all people.

Can't do that without lying and backpeddling on your own positions.

Look at Wright.
Look at Bitter.
Look at his stand on meeting with our enemies.

17 million democrats will not vote for Obama.

It must be scary to leave in your vicinity. wow. Have you ever been evaluated by a psychiatrist? If not you should the sooner the better.

As Cindy cannot go against her husband openly she tried to prevent us by saying McShame is a rekless driver. Clearly she meant don't put him behind the wheel of the country.

Did you hear what he said? Obama's not just going to say " Hey, let's meet over cookies and milk and work this out". There will be talks and requirements before the meeting. He clearly listed the some conditions that have to be meet. The point is he's not going to go guns ablazing like others we know.

Obama is now lying about his position. He DID clearly state in a debate that he would meet with our enemies- without any PRE-conditions.

Obama is dangerous because he is a clever and sneaky liar.

He keeps reshaping his positions.

I know that CNN will publish comments from all liberals who do not have any decency. They use some filthy words to criticize John McCain, Karl Rove and others. CNN likes to publish these comments while they moderate and reject our comments.

Democrats including Obama are desperate. They do not know what to do so they want to attack John McCain and our elected president George W. Bush. Obama will go to any extend with his rhetoric. He has a big mouth but no substance and all liberals are getting carried away. These guys who comment here are ignorant with one track mind. They are saying Obama 08. I am sure Ameircan people are decent and they will throw him from the stage in November.

This whole thing is ridiculous. We as Americans have 3 choices on how to deal with foreign crisis. We can A) Blow our enemies off the face of the earth, killing millions of innocent civilians. We can B) open diplomatic channels and try to talk to our enemies and work out some sort of agreement. Or... we can do like every other politician seems to want to do... C) Bury our heads in the sand and wait for real trouble before doing anything about it.

Why is it reckless to talk to our enemies? Why would someone be called a coward for talking to our enemies. If anything... I think it's the smartest, and bravest thing we can possibly do... and most likely the most effective.

Gee Whiz, with all the references to Bush/McCain you'd think he was already in the White House. What exactly is it about a president of one country publically calling for the ABSOLUTE destruction of another country that you all don't understand? Oh, yeah, that's right, the Holocaust never happed - right....

Yep, the destruction of Israel would definately be 'change' alright.

It's obvious most of you don't have a clue of what the middle east issues are all about and Obama is at the top of the list. I believe that Clinton and McCain very well may have at least a basic understanding, but none of them have the ability to 'change' any of this. Never will, just as it is in Iraq, change must come from within and that would require they stop hating each other - something that even the Islamic's cannot do within their own societies. it's been going on for 100's of years.

I'm neither a Dem or a Rep, just a voter who believes both parties completely suck and could care less about us in reality. It's all about power. Period. Obama, Clinton and McCain are all the same, just different shoes.

What else is the desperate GOP going to do? They've already tried to tie Obama to Wright, Hamas, Carter. What's next? Are they going to tie him to Adolf Hitler and accuse him of being anti semitic. The GOP is desperate because they know they put a 72 old man as their nominee that is in the early stage of Alzheimer that has 0 chance of winning. What else is next? Are they going to air attack ads in the South playing on the racial card against Obama. Or are they going to hire thugs to intimate young and black voters to stay away from the polls? This year they are going to do anything to win.

..attacking Michelle Obama, is small. How about his drug addicted wife, and her hiding her tax returns, and her investments in Darfur?

How about stating "100 more years would be fine...", "a timetable is a surrender".

Now, "I will have our boys back by the end of my first term." How about it, Flipper?

I am an independent. In the year 2000, I supported McCain over Bush and Gore. The 2008 version of McCain is not the same. I am supporting Barack Obama in 2008. The get tough, cowboy, United States against the world foreign policy has left the U.S. less safe than 8 years. I have been saddened by the fact that McCain over the last 8 years became lap dog to Bush. McCain has so much promise. Where is McCain 2000.

The relationship with the U.S. allies is much weaker than 8 years ago. The terrorists are even more bitter and determined than 8 years ago. The Bush doctrine of going it alone and saying it is us versus them is a disgrace. Talking to your enemy is not appeasement. Obama has said that preparatory steps have to be made before he would meet with Iran or other countries that are enemies of the U.S.

Meeting with your enemies can really clarify exactly each sides position. Reagan met with Soviet Union leaders. He dialogued with them and he stayed firmed in his direct talks. He did not cave in. That was real leadership. Obama should do the same with Iran and other rogue nations. Talk with them but stand firm.

We do not need four years of U.S going it alone and getting our soldiers killed. The U.S needs to be rebuild allot of relationships across the globe so that there when armed conflict occurs there will be coalition of nations fighting with the U.S and not only U.S. soldiers.

Biff-

Another Obama "intellectual".

I think I'll write in Hillary's name, not sure the election officials would accept her mane. Write ins are still legal in this country even when using a machine. Check into it.

It's "feminists" I know the word female comes to mind, a strange thing for you I'm sure, but it is spelled differently.

The Republican nominee for President of the United States does not spell his name with an "e".

"Ice cream" not "iced cream". You can verify that next time you run out the door screaming and laughing when the "Good Humor" man comes by.
