Obama should mention an interview McCain gave in 2006, in which he (McCain) said we should eventually meet with Hamas, since Hamas was democratically elected to many positions in the Palestinian government.

McCain can't keep his stories straight. November will be like euthanasia.

Can we hold the Election early? I can't stomach this idiot for another 7 months....and I (stupidly) voted for him once.

The only good thing Bush did in the past 8 years was to make me realize how self-serving, un-caring, and just plain evil the republican politicians are. Thanks to Bush, I will now vote Democrat for every election from local county to the presidency, no matter who the candidate is. I don't like Hillary, but I'd take 16 years of her over 4 years of another republican.

*sigh* 7 more months of Mr. Potato-head and counting...

As an independent I am torn between how to vote this November. I hate how this war has torn apart our country, creating more divides between the two parties. I am more likely to vote for a Democrat (unless it is Hillary) just to see what kind of change they can bring.

One thing that I do agree with is that the Democratic Party seem to be cowards when it comes to strong foreign policy. I do appreciate W's and McCain's stronger stance against those who would do us harm.

It will be interesting to see what kind of results Obama's little "tea parties" with Hamas and Al Qaeda produce.

Bubba,
Had you followed up with something called "Current Events" and then, perhaps, paid attention to Bush's aides yesterday, when they confirmed that the great W was in fact referring to Barack Obama when he made his statement, and only reversed that when the Democrats responded, you might have a clue. It is clear that you and many like you will support McSame and the failed war and failed policy, so Bubba, here's your sign.

I was in shock when Bush made those outrageous comments on foreign soil. Remember that Bush asked for us to hold talks with North Korea and they are suppose to be supporting terrorist actions. Bush is also backing McCain and just a couple of years ago, McCain said that America should hold talks with Hamas.
I think we know who is pandering to the voters.

Actually, no one is ever ready to become Commander in Chief (prior to becoming President). This person once elected will hone skills to work and deal with foreign leaders.Obviously, foreign leaders do not like Bush that much and Bush is not able to win them over for support in Iraq war and he was not able to full support from our allies, either. Someone "new" like Obama may be our answer to the struggles in the foreign policy. This may be a joke but because Obama's color and appearance, foreigners may respect him more and may reach welcome his presence and reach peace agreements with him in a breeze. I know it is a gamble but it is worth the shot. We cannot afford to have another person like John McCain to be bully or try to be a "cowboy" in the foreign land. Obama or Hillary is the logic choice for us, Americans for a "CHANGE".

What President Bush did yesterday was deplorable. This is an administration who is the worlds biggest bully, and the American people know it. Sen. Obam will forcefully answer his disgusting swipe with intelligence and reason. For thos who claim they will vote for McCain, you will be getting a relica of Bush. It is time for the Democratic party to unite, and end this Republican reain of terror!

Bush's performance has been disgraceful. In my opinion, he comes as close to being beneath contempt as a U.S. president can. But, thankfully, his time for doing harm is almost over. What worries me more at the moment is how John McCain has endorsed what Bush said. If McCain ever had any smarts, he's losing them now. Is this a matter of age, or has he always been this way and we just didn't see it because he was talking less and/or getting less press coverage? In either case, he's potentially dangerous. Whether or not you like Obama, you should very strongly consider voting against McCain.

As of 5-16-2008, there is 248 days left in the Bush Administration..
Then the IDIOT will retire to Crawford,Texas and the world will be a better place. The USA will have survived 8 years of the worst "Leader "in history.
The new President will have an enormous job to repair the MESS that GWB & Cheney& Rumsfelt & Rice has left.
The Republicans " SPIN & SMEAR " Tactics will not work in November 2008 as we Americans have had enough.
Joe Biden is correct by says "It is BLUE SKY"

What is this noise about? Bush said - no negotiation with terrorists.
Somebody disagree? He did not mention Obama. Rather Pres. Carter.

Obama said - negotiation with elected leaders of countries which are not friendly to USA (not friendly doesn't mean terrorists). Somebody disagree?

And no one writes his speeches, George Bush, that is why he can say whatever he pleases. On a foriegn soil, he is condemning his own people to please who? And a remark like that comparing the democratic party nominee for president to 'Nazis'... does any one think it is fair.

Come on! Give us a break!

It is amazing that CNN will let these comments refering to Obama as a boy and a dufus get in but 99% of my factually based comments never make it. Calling a black man boy what kind of moderation is this. They should be blocked forever! Why am i wasting my time this post will never make it.

It's sad that Obama feels like the comment was directed solely towards him. By reading the text, it's quite clear that Bush is talking about all appeasers, both present and past, in the context of meeting with rouge nations and terrorist organizations. Obama has stated he will meet with any leader of rouge nations, but has not said anything about terrorist organizations, so his (and his political supporters) overreaction here is just sad. The world is much larger than just Obama after all.

Bush shoots his foot again.. Just have to consider the source. With all this help Senator McCain will lose, only by a larger margin. President Bush just shows his lack of leadership and a great back-biting smear
ability. He is certainly frustrated at this point by all his misadventures.
Time he moves on.

I listened to the speech given by President Bush and I in no

way heard him mention Obama's name. Obama is doing this for

PR, IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE HEAT THEN GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN.

If I remember right , they pulled the same bull on Hillary and put
words in her mouth to get attention.

This is just the beginning of what the Republicians are going to do
to him.

These idiot Bush supporters do not know the difference between appeaser and diplomat. Obama's policies are to be a diplomat and talk with other countries that the Bush administration has bullied and just pissed off even more. An appeaser is someone who lets their enemy take advantage of them. Big differences. Even Condoliza Rice and the Sec of Defense recently stated we should talk to Iran. Is Bush going to scold them?

These were ridiculous remarks by Bush. To say these things on foreign soil, during a nations celebration of it's birth, is hard to fathom even for this President. I think Obama needs to respond, but in a strong, diplomatic tone.

To the Hillary supporters who bust on Obama about this and everything else: When you start to sound like you're supporting Bush over Obama, you've gone totally beyond the realm of common sense. Don't be sore losers. Clinton will still be involved in the government somewhere. And yes, his speech writers came up with a great response. NEWS FLASH...Hillary has speech writers too. They get paid very well to make her sound good. Wake up people!!!!

In the overall scheme of things, who is to say if Barack took direct offense or not. It does not matter. What matters is public perception and with Bush and McCain weighing in on this issue, he is obliged to respond to "appease" the public. Fine, lets hear what he has to say.

So in looking at the big picture (this means beyond your nose), it is not be prudent to judge another hastily. Or would you like to be judged similarly?

Comments on whether the President of the United States was correct have been closed. WHY? OF course he was correct. Right on.

Its time for all these LAWYERS comments from the Democratic PARTY OF THE LAWYERS to be confronted for the foolishness that they are. Obama, Clinton, Edwards????? ALL LAWYERS with nothing but words to play with. I get tired of those who have done nothing constructive for 8 years always trying to sell me that they knoe better what to do. It always turns out that they have NO PLAN as was the case after the November election when the left had no plan for Iraq.

Why would any thinking person "EMPOWER a lawyer with a blank check allowing a "LAWYER" to control their future. Do you think they would do the same for you?

People criticised Bush for his apparent lack of intelligence. Now the Democrats have two pretty smart cookies running... What's wrong with having a president that people think is smart? My dad was an electrician, but I have never forgotten my white, blue-collar roots.

I look forward to hearing what Senator Obama has to say to President Bush and the country.

Maybe Senator Obama should have a good chat with President Bush... or would that be "appeasement", too?

The smart thing to do is respond directly. Show everyone you will not tolerate slanderous attacks from our lame duck President. Obama's foreign policy will be one of reconciliation. He won't just give in to the "bad guys." But at least everyone will know that that he is willing to listen as opposed to preemptively calling in the cavalry. We must EARN the respect we've lost over the last 7 years, since about 6 months after 9/11/2001.

Well, You don't have to vote for any of these three candidates. There are other candidates out there. However, everyone is so possessed with these three candidates that they cannot see straight. You can call Ron Paul and lunatic, nuts or crazy, but you would be sadly wrong. This man is pretty well respected. His entire political carrer has been fighting tooth and nail for the American citizens. He wants to restore this great county back to our constitution. Keep in tact our liberties. and once again make this county the shinning star in the world that it once was. but, people are so busy doing cheers for the captain of the football team that they can't see there way to any other options. It's pretty sad when the American citizens think it's ok to brush aside, toss, trow out or ignore our contitution. This is what our county was founded on. He is the only one out of all of these candidates that actually has a plan and tell what that plan would be. He is no stoop when it comes to the economy. He will tell you want you want to hear, but tell you the truth about our Goverments wastefull spending and our dependence on China's bank roll, which will be the death of all without firing a shot. So, go ahead and vote for the Politcal hungry Hillary, the blank resume Obama and the angry John McCain. Your going to get change alright, just not the kind that you will like. There going to do nothing once they get in office or at least not what they say they will.

Cnn this is the 3rd time I have tried to post and you keep blow my post out. POST IT !!!
