A seizure in a man of his age can be boiled down to 2 things: Stroke or a tumor. It could be metabolic also and in Ted's case, alcohol withdrawal but most likely it's a stroke or a tumor and probably metastatic at that.

I've been listening to television reports regarding this ongoing story and I've learned a lot of things I didn't know about Sen. Kennedy. Although he is a liberal, he counts a number of conservatives as friends, such as Cal Thomas, who told a wonderful story of how their (seemingly impossible) friendship began. He's considered one of the work horses of the Senate who will work across the aisle to get things done. If only the younger senators would pick up on this instead of fostering so much hostility.
