Hillary is not getting the nomination and those who would rather vote for McCain over Obama are probably Republicans at heart and voted for Bush in the last two elections.

Boy, some of you just don't get it. A vote against Obama or any other Democrat isn't necessarily a vote against the Democratic Party. If Hitler had been a Democrat in the U.S., would it have been a bad decision to vote Republican? Voting for Obama would be like voting for a Louis Farrakhan wanna be. Sorry, but my Democrat vote isn't going there.

Hillary has again released Ferraro to inject venom into the Democratic party hoping to ruin Barack's chances so that she will run again in 2012.
But we, Obama's supporters are waiting for her in 2012. But senate and any other contests will be beyond Hillary's reach.

Karma, maybe she does not know what it means.

Geraldine, you are a bitter, angry woman and sexist person yourself. I could care a less about your hypocritical comment. You blame and accuse the medica, Obamas supporters and Obama himself as being sexist, however your remarks and actions over the years speak mountains to the sexist views you have of everyone who does not agree with you.

Obamas comment calling someone sweetie makes him sexist. Well as a parent, I call people sweetie and hun left and right. I guess that makes me sexist in your eyes?

You might want to look up the meaning of sexist. You will find there are key elements missing in somebody just calling someone sweetie before it's sexist.

To all the WOMEN out there, especially the HRC supporters that won't vote for Obama in the fall! I encourage you to stay home or vote for McCain and see what impact your decision to throw out LOGIC will have on the lives of your daughters a grand daughters. The next president will most likely be able to appoint 1 or 2 judges to the supreme court and McCain has already stated he would appoint some good ol' conservatives! We are getting closer to seeing Roe vs Wade being overturn. So with the help of you guys or should I say "gals" we can finally make abortion illegal in this country!! After all, it just won't be right to vote for anyone but Hillary for she was preordained to be president

For the democratic women who will not support Obama and blame the media for being sexist.

The media may be sexist, but they did not run Senator Clinton's campaign. She has had every advantage in her bid for President.

1. The Clinton name
2. Huge amount of the democratic hierarchy support
3. President Clinton
4. Money
5. Polls all in her favor

Face it! Her campaign blew it! Most reasonable people can see that she needed to fire Mark Penn, Terry Mac.

So please just get over it. Hillary has no one to blame but her self and her campaign staff.

Following your election 2008 I’ am starting to think The great USA is looking like a third World country, openly telling lies, abusing and accusing one and other. Counting seems to be a problem, what are computers for? Many people write with hate in their hearts, there are those who still blatantly discriminate and don’t want an black or a female as their president, disowning their own Party and vote for the opposition because their party’s fairly chosen candidate is either black or a woman, where I think you as an American should be proud to have the first black or female president in your history and show the world what it means to live in the land of freedom, the land of sugar and honey. Instead we see a country that starts wars, is nearly bankrupt does not have a decent healthcare system, corruption and we could go on But they still want to be the leading power in this world, they still dare to judge other country’s.
I would say get your own backyard in order, Vote without spite for the party you believe in and turn your country back in what it should be, one that others can look up to and use as an example.
DARE TO CARE from within, for yours and others
Go for the change and future, good luck.
Citizen of this world.

Ms. Ferraro is a blunt, honest woman who "tells it like it is" and some people don't care for that. Mostly Obama supporters, those mindless zombies who cannot even explain why they like the Pretender to the Throne. "Change" is easy to promise but very difficult to deliver. Obama is a racist and a liar who wasn't even black until he chose to be during his high school years. I do not want a President who was ever a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, a very racist organization. Geraldine did not go far enough in denouncing this poser.

Good for her! That's my plan too.

It isn't bitterness BTW. I am an independent and couldn't care less about party unity. I prefer Clinton to McCain, but McCain to Obama. Issues are important but so is believing the candidate is qualified for the job. Substitute any first-term Senator and I would feel the same. His arrogance and yes DIVISIVENESS has just made me all the *more* determined that he has done nothing to deserve my vote. Sorry but I refuse to be a lemming.

If he is so determined to help americans, why did he not even warm his senate seat before running for President? And what exactly did he actually ACCOMPLISH in Illinois that makes him think he can vault from that to the highest office? Did he transform Chicago politics? Not so much. Then...

Take a look at his actual US Senate career-- what has he actually DONE? Not much of substance.

I've done lots of community volunteering. I would have voted against the war, I think the government needs a lot of work. According to this campaign, I think I'm qualified. I'll shoot for 2016 and start looking for a suitable runningmate. Now to find a vapid slogan......

As a white woman I have been told that it's my duty to vote for my "sister", how dare I betray her by voting for a man? I have receive nasty grams from NOW, the HRC campaign, Emily's List, about my obligation to HRC because we share similar biology. A true feminist would tell me to do exactly as I have done.....educate MYSELF on the candidates, make MY OWN decision, exercise MY right to vote. If anyone is sexist, it's the Clinton supporters who do not trust us lowly women to make an informed decision. The angry rhetoric comes from them aimed at anyone, male (they hate strong women), women (traitors!), black people (you owe the Clintons), educated people (activists!).....the only people and ideas that seem to have any worth in this election are their own.
I am a white woman, I voted for Obama. Not because I hate Clinton or dare to betray her, but because his ideas align better with mine. Why is it so hard to believe that this is possible?

Here we go again. All those repubublinik Ann Couler wannabees post here as "Hillary" supporters and say they are not going to vote for Obama if he gets the nomination. Of course you won't. We don't care. You're staying home and watching Fox News that day, just like evry other day of your life has been so you found a "Jesus" that fit right in with your political point of view. By all means, stay home. Those of us who believe in this Nation more than the King James version of the Bible will be voting that day ..... in numbers the world has never seen before .... million upon millions of us. And the rest of you, please stay home and be angry. It's what you do best.

It is too bad that the primary is coming to an end. The subjects of sexism and racism are just now being discussed in a serious way. The American public is now on to the race-baiting and has had time to take stock of what is real and what is not. I once thought both Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton were fine candidates. Now I have a real concern about Mr. Obama's substance and am increasingly disturbed by his mindless, destroy-all supporters.

My question to everyone. Is Obama responsible for Hillary Campaign flop? So Ferraro based on your logic. What you are telling us, is that if Hillary does a sex change and paints herself black, she'll definitely win the primaries. Give us a break!

Let it go, people. The Democratic primaries are almost over. (What a farce -- Michigan and Florida don't even count.) It's time for "Hate Fest '08," better known as the general election, to begin. It's little wonder the American people already have the government we deserve!

Democrats watch out for people who say that they will vote for McCain if Hillary isn't the nominee. A lot of them were Republicans from the start trying to help Bush Jr out in the general election. Democrats don't fall for it!!!!!! We can't afford 4 more years of Bush!!!!!

The DNC sat back and watched the manipulation and hatred that targeted over half of the party base. Sexism!! Some of them even participated. I am not a Republican however, I do not believe that they would have allowed the media treating a Republican female in the manner that they have treated Senator Clinton. They would have raised hell for 40 days and 40 nights. DNC, is this how you treat the females in the party, or is this treatment only for Senator Clinton?: I will not legitimize this treatment with my vote for Barack Obama. I will write in "Minnie Mouse" instead. The DNC leadership is a joke.

We don't need her vote. I would think that if there were anyone on the planet that understood what you have to go through in this country when running for the highest office in the land it would be the 1st women to run for VP. Obviously I was wrong and thus we don't need nor want your vote Ferraro. Go back into the cave you came from. Your own candidate doesn't agree with you. And I would like to see any evidence of Obama being sexiest. That is a bold claim, funny I didn't see any actual examples to back it up in this interview.

I am with Geraldine Ferraro. Atleast she says and I quote"I may not vote for Obama" But I know for sure I won't vote for him if he is the nominee. On the same line I do not want to waste my vote by sitting at home on the election day. Yes you guessed it right. Maybe it will be a lesson for democrats who are known to choose losers.

She is just as divisive as HRC can be. If she doesn't want to vote for BHO, then don't do it, but, nobody asked her opinion. Get over it - you and those who have just been waiting on someone to get this mess started.

One would think, at this stage in the game, Ferraro would be working toward solidarity within the Democratic party, as the ultimate goal of either Clinton or Obama's campaign should be to defeat McCain and work toward getting the country back on track. There's nothing wrong with stating that racism and sexism exists in this country - those are facts. But the way in which Ferraro tries to make her points about those conditions just keeps making her appear to be a mud-slinging, marginalized has-been trying to get her name in the papers again.

I have never in my lifetime seen so many "True Democrats" say that they would never vote the nominee, which leads me to believe that some people have other motives. If we are all Democrats let's support the nominee. It is not like Hillary is sqeaky clean she has a horrid past that would have dredged up. Hillary , "Women and Warrior for the 'hard working whites"" was somerthing manufactured by her campaign when the racial divide was seen. Come on Hillary is a millionaire with a silver spoon in her mouth If you are a Democrat then you know that McCain is not good for your interest and writting in Hillary is a throw away vote. As a women, I am sad that we will be unable to have a women president, But what I also know is we can not have 4 more years of Bush Policies. Wake up people! Put race aside and think! There have been 43 white presidents you can vote for one black one!

You folks who are "bothered" (anthing is a convenient excuse, right?) by Obama's use of the word "sweetie" and think it shows he's sexist...it's a term many people use (myself included) for both sexes. And besides, I don't think a woman like Michelle would ever have married a sexist.

I'm a minority male that's for Hillary. Obviously she's not going to be on the ticket, barring some major disaster with Obama.

However, I will be voting for Obama, or ANY democrat that is representing the party.

I know the general preception outside of the US is that Americans either have selective amnesia about our history or we just choose not to remember our actions, but in this case it proves to be true yet again.

Poll any voter leaning towards voting for ANY democrat before the primaries and the majority of people would have said they are happy with any candidate. Now that we have had a particularly bloody primary season everyone seems to have forgotten why we were so gungo-ho about getting out and voting. OUR MUTUAL DISDAIN FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS!

Yeah we can argue about who would be better for the country, Obama or Hillary... but we seem to have forgotten that NEITHER of them can be worse than Dubya!

Fro my friend in Boston. "Sweetie" is a term of endearment in the south. Women are not in the least offended by that term. Never have never will, unless it's a story about Obama. On the other hand, "boy" has never been a term of endearment to African-Americans. Never have, and never will. Only if you are black or you take some time to understand being black will you recognize that there is no comparison between "sweetie" and "boy".

The comment that Obama "happens to be very lucky to be who he is" to me is a very naive one. He is not the first black man to run for the presidency. Why did the others fail to make it up to this level? Were they not who they were?

The fact is that Obama has run a very strong and intelligent campaign. He has practically beat Hillary on all fronts - ranging from fundraising to actual votes and supporter-turnout. With all due respect to Hillary, but her campaign organization failed to plan very well and never anticipated tough opposition from someone like Barack and that is where they got it all wrong. By the time her campaign machine caught up with this oversight, it was already too late because the momentum had already shifted towards Obama. That is why they have playing catch-up when it should never have been that way in the beginning.

In any case I will not ask her of any others who think like her to vote for Obama but I ask that they let the rightful candidate emerge. Let there be no favoritsm or changing of rules in the middle of the game.

And to think I once respected this woman. The Democratic Party has done a great deal for this woman's career. Now she has become a bitter old woman with a mean streak so deep she's betrayed her party and become an agent for John McCain. What a sad turn of events which will now overshadow and destroy her once honorable and historic legacy.

COME ON !!!

To vote for McCain just to spite Obama is absolutely ignorant.

Look at the issues. Vote the issues. Obama is nearly identical to Clinton on most of them. McCain is a whole different direction.

It is this mentality that scares me as an American. People don't THINK. They just act, based on soundbites, unsubstantiated emails, etc. That is why the Conservatives and their slimy tactics are so successful - by taking advantage of the dim bulbs in our society.

Maybe Ms. Ferraro should consider leaving the party if she is unwilling to support its nominee. Her comment strikes rather arrogant for someone who as vice presidential nominee lost her own district by 10 points to Ronald Reagan in 1984.

Why is CNN even reporting this? CNN is the most biased and unfair media which is focusing on HIllary just to prolong the democratic primaries. I have started feeling a renewed respect for Fox, because atleast they are forthright on the fact that have leanings towards the GOP. CNN yesterday reported that the crowd for Obama's speech was 50,000 when the actual number was 75,000. There were only very few people at Clinton's Stump speech, but it was covered in full with good audio, but when Obama started speaking, the reporter had a lot of things to say and won't shut up and the audio quality was so poor when Obama started speaking. Whenever, there is a coverage of Obama, CNN screws it up!! Maybe the producers are racist.

'[Ferraro] also said she thinks the Illinois senator has been "terribly sexist" over the course of the presidential campaign.'

How might we as readers distinguish Ferraro's vapid comment from the other high-powered lies and distractions? Really? How is this news and not some blatant attempt to both stir up the hornets while keeping a flailing and petty campaign in the public's eyes? Maybe evidence to Ferraro's accusations were left behind in The New York Time's original article. Maybe that article is actual news.
