I am a college educated, white woman in her 30's. I voted for Hillary because I think she is the person for the job. Obama is just an "empty suit". Exactly what are his plans? Oh, wait, I know---"Change". That's all he says blah blah blah.
Unfortunately, Obama will probably get the nomination. So we know what that means---Hello President McCain!
I never voted for George Bush. I realized the country must be full of idiots to elect him twice! Those same idiots will be voting for McCain.
All of the bitter people who are clinging to their guns and their religions will be voting for McCain. Yes, some people will vote against Obama because he is black. Yes, some people will vote against him because his name is Barack Hussein Obama. Others will vote against him because of things his acquaintences said/done. Even his wife has said some things that show she would not be a good first lady.
I think the only reason that Obama has won so many primaries is this: McCain supporters are voting for the weaker democratic candidate.
Obamabots are going to be *shocked* when McCain slaughters him in the general election!

I guess everyone heard that fat lady singing expect Billary and their supporters. You people amaze me, the way you deny racism being a part of the voting process when people admit this stuff. They say it out of their own mouths, this simply isn't just speculation.
News Flash.....those same bigots who are racists are sexist too and when it comes down to it they will vote for the white man before the white lady........

Janey, Clinton and McCain both are a lot more affluent and further removed from the the average American than Obama. They have also been playing the "game" longer. This is why they were able to put the 'affluent' label on a Black American who did well for himself, bought up poor by his single mother and grand parents. I mean think about it. You'd have to be a master b-artist to make that stick. But one thing is clear, people who have the hardest time tend to be angrier in general. Any black American can tell you that poor white communities tend to have more racist then more affluent ones. That fact only shocked the racist.
********************************************************************************************************************************************************

Any non black American will tell you that the most racist people in their daily lives are black. That fact shocks absolutely no one.

The future has already been written, the only difference is that we haven't seen it, or lived through it as yet. So no matter how many votes are casted, no matter who many speeches are given, no matter how many stones are thrown, the bottom line is that we cannot stop destiny, because only one person is in control, and that is GOD. Always remember that "looks are deceiving", and "no one is perfect", and "NOTHING JUST HAPPEN". Always, be ready for what the future holds. Learn to "stand still" and "see the salvation of the Lord". We are already divided, and no one will ever change that. There is only one world, made up of many.

I am going to stop writing negativity. I admit that I have been guilty of doing so once caught up in the moment, the fervor, and the heated atmosphere of this campaign for the Democratic nomination. I’ve made statements which generalize a group of people that were unfair, ignorant, false, and couldn’t be further from the truth once I paused and remembered my own experience completing my studies in the Midwest of the U.S. There I met many good people who welcomed me into their places of business, their community activities, and even their homes because of a mutual trust that we in fact shared many of the same core values in our lives and for our loved ones; even though we weren’t of the same race and our biographies and histories were very different – people who couldn’t be closer to Hillary Clinton’s voter base of working Americans. I speak to the other Barack Obama supporters who are quick and vocal in their disdain yet quiet in their desire for meaningful dialogue with supporters of Hillary Clinton. Please think before you post, as I wish that I did because the true battle will be for the White House next November, and neither Barack Obama nor Hillary Clinton will win if Democratic voters aren’t united whet it comes time to cast their vote.

David, those educated people who have "two cars and health care all taken care of" tend to have to PAY OFF COLLEGE LOANS. If anything, the uneducated (as in, not college educated) workers have less to worry about. They don't have to pay back thousands of dollars just to earn an education!

What experience did Washington, Jefferson, Franklin or Lincoln have???? All they had was intelligence and a dream for the future, yet they built this country. Now we have a candidate with intelligence, little experience and a view of the future or a candidate that lies, panders and decieves. I for one will take the inexperienced. Like the saying goes, "The only thing worse than finding out you have cancer, is not finding out." I want the truth from my President...if I know the problem, I can take steps to fix it. I don't want to hear it's caused by some "great right wing conspiracy",

Obama is fighting two huge battles at the same time, with McCain attacking him and Hillary out to knock him off. Listen to her campaign appeal AGAIN TO WOMEN, using the gendered emotional language of abuse--"a slap in the face"--to get the women out to vote against him. AND we know Obama has been a gentleman throughout!! Hillary is moving the goalposts AGAIN--raising the numbers of delegates, saying that only certain votes count. Her attacks have created a climate of misery for all Democrats. The Party needs to declare victory for Senator Obama NOW in order to win in November.

Obama is dangerous for this country.
Instead of helping other nations to bring the standard of living up like US he is planning to
bring our standard of living down to match. Just listen to what he said yesterday.
What kind of strategy is this? Oh, I remember it is the strategy that Mullah’s brought to Iran.
Obama is the worst thing that can happen to this country.

"Oh so let me get this straight. If you dont vote for Obama you must be dumb or racist."

That about covers it.

Seriously, though, can you really compare two Democrats running against each other and a Dem./Rep. matchup? Just because people prefer one Dem. over the other does not mean they WILL NOT vote for the other.

Hey, let's face it, this is all about race. When 90% of all the African-Americans voting vote for Senator Obama it has to be about race. Do any of you white Americans reading this feel comfortable criticizing Obama in front of your African-American friends? I doubt it and the question is why? As a country that prides itself on equality we have much to learn.

Hey Mecca...."loose" means that something is moveable, slack or wobbly. "Lose" is to be defeated.

And the word you are looking for is inexperienced not non experienced.

Just thought I'd drop some knowledge on an obviously well educated Hillary supporter.

Obama has obviously managed to make inroads with all segments of the population, as recent polls indicate.

Once the "Fat Lady sings," all Democrats will (and should) support the nominee, or shut up and put up with four (or eight) more years of McBush.

With your percentage points. You know exactly what it is. Americans don't like to speak about this problem we have in America. The media continues on a daily basis to bring up the subject. Please let it go and Obama did not place this in the primary, the media did. Let it go so Americans can start living together once and for all.

JB Cal : We can talk about racism all you want and I agree, take a look at the polls and it becomes clear. The black community supports Obama by over 90%. Do you think they are voting on his credentials? Do you think they would be voting for him if he were white? Please, don’t talk to us of racism. Obama would not be where he is if he weren’t black and everyone with half a brain knows it.

History has shown that Presidents considered to be among the greatest of all time, have run some of the best organized campaigns of all time.

The campaign organization is a direct reflection of how the candidate's potential administration would be run.

Les-WA you may not want to talk about racism in Ky, but it's there. You'd have to be a fool not to know that, or maybe you choose to ignore it's presence because it doesn't fit the case you're trying to make. Obama didn't put that label on those voters. Check the polls. It is what it is.

It is so sad i use to think so big of america but not anymore and what makes a country the most powerful nation is not weapons it is the economy which america has failed at so stop all your hate and surpport who the democratic nominee is so that all americans can move forward and for those of you who are afraid of change don't complain when your life becomes more a vacuum.

Ca Native May 20th, 2008 11:42 am ET

WHY OH WHY do Obamabots cry racism if people don't vote for Obama???

God forbid people (white, black, yellow, purple, etc) reject Obama because of his lack of experience, socialist agenda, and unelectability

The only ones crying racisim are Limbaugh's Operatives, seeding dissension within the DNC party's base of voters. Your comments are typical of what they sound like.

I am looking forward to June 3rd because the whole democratic nomination process has been based on race, educated and uneducated, American Flag on lapel. What happen to the war, economy, health...issues?

I always tried to believe that I am a citizen of "The United States of America" instead I am finding out that I am a citizen of "The UnUnited States of American, a country full of racist, cold hearted people. I am truly ashamed of the politicians, media, and the citizens of this so call great United States. This country is full of racist, cold hearted people. These same folks salutes the flag and sings the National Anthem. Before they sing the National Anthem again, read the words; please note the words" home of the free...

BTW, I don't sing the National Anthem because this country is not the home of the free.

What is with all you fools saying that Barack is unelectable? Do you not look at the polls? Are you riding on what HIllary spews about winning the states that "matter" like PA and CA?

If you would just take a few minutes to look at RealClearPolitics you would quickly notice that Barack wins those states also AS WELL AS many others that McCain smashes Hillary in. Barack clearly has the edge vs McCain. Then in states where he's ahead of both Barack and Hillary, Barack often is much closer to McCain (ie. McCain +2 as opposed to McCain +12 for Hillary). The only states where Hillary is closer to McCain are... you guessed it... racist, backwoods places like WV, NC and KY. They'd vote for Hitler before they'd put a black man in office. I shouldn't summarize the whole state like that because obviously it does not apply to all, but the fact is that those states are largely made up of individuals with very outdated views on society and people.

The ignorance is pretty aggravating around here.

Hillary is appealing to people who uses COMMON SENSE, Obama appeals to people who has college diploma and frame it on their wall and say " I am highly educated."

I'd take common sense any time of the day over college diploma. I have seen many college graduates right now UNEMPLOYED and STILL living with their parents.

Could it be that the more educated understand the US Constitution? That we should not be nation-building and fighting wars for other countries?
Could it be that the more affluent know a devalued dollar is more of a threat to their wealth than a tiny tax increase?
P.S. I'm a blue collared white guy who voted for Bush twice. This year it is Obama all the way!
