Explain this to me Obama is outspending HILLARY 2,3,4 to 1, help from the DNC, the media and all he pundits
and HILLARY WIN STATES with a 41% and 36% margin.
The super delegates are there to make sure that we have the strong candidate in November, the one that will win the big swing States.
in November. I am not sure the obama people that vote for him before rev. Wright and other staff will vote for him now.
HILLARY 08

Hillary supporters still don't get it!

Obama has purposely left Hillary Clinton unscathe and still worth value. Because come November, having a strong and *clean* Hillary will help his chances.

There are tons of dirt on Hillary that would almost certainly knock her campaign and credibility to shreds! When she was the frontrunner before Iowa, she was been questioned and vetted very roughly. But once she lost her frontrunner status, the media no longer cared about her laundry and focussed on Obama.

So don't be fooled. If Hillary was not in LAST place but first, the media and the Republicans would be having a field day with her! If the spotlight was on Hillary, it would be much more abundantly clear that Hillary is just to bipolar and scandalous to win against John McCain.

Obama has been very kind in political terms to Hillary - so to as not disenfranchised her supporters.

So, Hillary supporters need to be very appreciative of Obama and help him beat George Bush's heir.

I think anyone who says this would not be a viable dream ticket does not pay attention to politics. Personally, I don 't see how Obama can't ask her to join the ticket. She has won more votes which means MORE democrats want her leadership. Her name is more competitive with McCain than Obama. She would be the perfect attack dog. That is what a Vice President is. And why not? If Obama is a good president, this ticket could possibly mean 16 years of a democratic White House. Whats wrong with that?
As far as them not liking each other, Kerry and Edwards did not like each other either. In fact, that was one of the most negative primaries in a decade and it was only half as long. Reagan and Bush hated each other yet the were able to give their party 12 years in the White House. And as far as "another Clinton" talk...that is absurd. There was never "another Kennedy" sentiment. Might I remind those who say that the Clinton's have been in Washington to long....Kennedy (40 years), Boxer (15 years), Lieberman (20 years), Pelosi (20 years)....the list goes on. I don't hear any calls for them to step aside for "Change."
Why don't the Democrats lock this thing up with an unbeatable ticket? But as usual when opportunity is in favor of the Democrats they screw it up. Just look at the leadership in Congress. Bush could have been made irrelavent two years ago but Pelosi has not been able to demonstrate any kind of leadership as Speaker. When you have a weak congress you need a powerful White House.

So wake up democrats. Our time has come.

All the garbage about how Hillary was treated is just that -- garbage! Hillary was supposed to TAKE this nomination a long time ago and at that time, even I was going to vote for her. She played her hand wrong, woke up at the last minute and realized she had been outplayed and is now curiously crying FOUL. Had she remained the frontrunner, I seriously doubt that we would have EVER heard of SEXISM. Obama played his hand the only way he could - straight up and has studiously kept to the rules as they were given at the beginning of this mess. Now you TIMBER and others are deranged in your loss and I cry for you. I'm not sure how many ways you want to be fooled by the Clintons but God Help You! Go Obama 08!

Hillary was treated like the lying politician that she is. Sniper fire in Bosnia, Peace in Ireland, I'm ahead in the popular vote. If this is what the dems offer it's time to vote for Ralph Nader.

NO MORE CLINTONS OR BUSHES!!!!

Ben from New York,

Please tell me how counting Michigan and Fl is "fair and square?" BO wasnt even on the Ballot in Michigan (and yea I know, its because he was "afraid he was going to lose" - haha, why would he care if he loses a state whose votes "dont count for anything" - HRC, October 2007) and didnt campaign in FL??? Its obvious that HRC won FL primarily due to NAME RECOGNITION. Without any campaigning and BO still a relatively "unknown" in early January, Hillary BETTER HAVE WON FL or else that would have been an absolute travesty for her.

So to all of you Hillary radicals who think its "fair and sqaure" to count 2 states who openly broke the rules and ALL candidates agreed wouldnt count - ask yourself this one question....

IF HILLARY AND BO SWITCHED PLACES, AND HRC WAS IN FRONT ON ALL COUNTS....WOULD YOU STILL BE GOING CRAZY OVER COUNTING MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA?????

.....that's what I thought

HYPOCRITES!!!

There is an SNL skit in the making here... During Obama's or McCain's inauguration day speech, Hillary will push the president elect out of the way, take the microphone, and say the following:

"I'm not giving up! If you count all of the states where I won the democratic primary, I have the most votes. It doesn't matter that Obama/McCain was elected in the general election, I'm the best person to run this country... and besides, I already wrote a book about myself being in charge!"

I see many Hillary supporters that aren't happy about the circumstances around Hillary such as Michigan, Florida, Superdelegates not voting with their district, etc and I sympathize but to blame Obama for these things is idiotic. They BOTH agreed to the rules of the DNC and now they have to deal with them. If you believe the nomination should be decided by popular vote, I agree, but it's too late in the game to be changing the rules. Instead of spiting Obama for bad rules, talk to the DNC about changing them for the next election. As with any contest we have to abide with the rules that are present. Think of it from Obama's perspective: how would you feel if you were running a race and just as you were about to finish someone said "Oh, I'm sorry the finish line has just been moved to a different location".

Hillary should take the high road and quit now
the math is against her and you cannot change the rules in the middle of the game and allot her all the delegates from Michigan and
Florida. They have to be split fairly since all candidates were told from the beginning their delegates would not count.by the way thats not the fault of the democratic leaders but the govenors of those two states for trying to break the rules!
If Hillary really cared about her party she would quit now and help the party mend and urge her supporters to go to Obama
Everyone is being immature and not looking at the big picture which should be Kicking the Bums of the republican party out on their butts
the war mongers who have driven the country and the economy into the gutter with their illegal Iraq war!!!
Having said that I feel Hillary does not have her countrys or partys best interest at heart by staying in this race just her own power and big Ego...Too bad!!

ENOUGH ENOUGH with how CLINTON WAS TREATED. I didn't hear sexism when she was the presumptive nominee. I didn't hear sexism when she claimed OBAMA plagerized a text that a friend wrote and gave him, I didn't hear about sexism when Rev. Wright was getting more coverage than Foreclosures, I didn't hear about sexism when OBAMA misspoke about being bitter, I didn't hear sexism when Clinton said he was an elistist when she made 109 million dollars. i didn't hear about sexism when 2 out 10 voters in Kentucky and West Virgina admitted they voted because race.

Give it a rest she's a flawed candidate who ran under her cheating husband name. Remained with him to gain power and still lost. There are strong women candidates out there Kathleen Sebillus, Sen. Mc Caskill, Nancy Pelosi to name a few

How sad that so many Clinton supporters say they are willing to sacrafic their jobs, the future of their children, the economy of this country, not to mention continue to send our young people to die in a war that will undoubtedly spend our country into a full blown depression. And the critical choice you are about to make is based on WHAT? Do you REALLY mean you actucally WANT 4 more years of the George W. plan? How sad is that!

When 25% of the voters in Kentucky polled said that race was a factor, what does that tell you? The same number applied to West Virginia. Listen to all of the reports, not just the ones you want to hear.

Hillary's victories in WV and in KY only show that she is still a strong canidate with loyal supporters, but thats all! Ron paul could win a couple states like that and it wouldn't help him to become the nominee. The same goes for hillary. It's too little, too late if she wasn't more than 200 delegates behind, then you wouldn't hear anything except about these victories. but she can't catch up she's way too far behind. she would have to overturn the votes of millions of people to get the nomination.

The DNC has a REAL problem on its hands, a candidate that is too damaged and inexperienced and Left wing to win a General Election!

They can choose to nominate the Stronger candidate and have a fighting chance at winning or not.

Many of us are so frustrated by the Left wing Liberals the DNC keeps trying to get elected when they are not a viable candidate that the DNC has another REAL BIG problem we are leaving the Party as well!

Wake up and smell the coffee before it is too late yet again!

Osama running for President is okay with me…WHEN HE GAINS QUANTIFIABLE EXPERIENCE!

People were taken with Bush (not me.) Supporters of Obama are foolishly doing a replay by trying to put Obama in office when they overlook essential knowledge in a candidate instead of perceived charm. Our country needs a President that understands the magnitude of problems that will be waiting for the next President in 2009. Just being a Democrat is not enough to be President of the United States.

Wise up! Four years can be a long time waiting to elect another President. Hillary is my choice and has been from the beginning.

Furthermore, the DNC urged her to run they need support her.

Hillary - Hillary - Hillary!

Here is an analogy that I think all football fans can understand regarding Michigan, Florida, and Hillary's "big state" argument.

Imagine if two football teams play a full season. At the the end of the season, Team A has a 15-1 record and Team B has a 14-2 record. Even though Team A finished ahead of Team B, the coach of Team B shockingly claims that his team should be the champions. During an interview, the coach of Team B argues, "Hey look, we played tougher opponents than Team A did. Plus, if you count the pre-season game that we won against Team A, we're actually tied. The pre-season game ought to count. Both teams starters didn't play. Fans bought tickets to the game. It was televised. Why can't the league just count that exhibition game and give us the championship."

In Hillary's world, the coach makes sense.

Will all of you stop it! Seriously! The us vs. them thing is getting ridiculous. I understand people don't like being on a losing side. Hillary will be beat. It's basically done. Sure the votes of uneducated, poor people matter. Their vote matters as much as the next citizen. Does the country want uneducated people making decisions? I suspect not. This contest is based on delegates, not votes. Should a baseball game decided by who gets the most strikeouts instead of runs? Come on! The rules of the game were set. Popular vote is not what wins this primary. D-e-l-e-g-a-t-e-s...hello, is this thing on?

Bottom line - the country is headed in the wrong direction. Hillary is not and will not be the answer. Stop voting with your heart and vote with your head. To all the Hillary supporters who are "bitter" about the impending defeat: If you don't like Barack, then stay home in November. That way we couldn't blame you for another 4 years of George W. Bush.

Have a nice day-

The pledged delegates and super delegates are a bunch of B.S. and should be done away with. The nomination should come down to a simple majority. However, these are the rules for this election term and there is no way Hillary can overtake Obama's delegate lead which is the beef of this story. Who cares how much she chips away at it ... she can't win. If she was anything less than self-serving she would step down. I predict Hillary's greed will lead her to continue this disaster beyond June 3 through trivial law suits and the like, effectively handing it over to McCain which is all she is accomplishing by staying in the race. Pathetic.

Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel, a Republican and long time friend of McCain, is open to the idea of endorsing Obama. Now, what does that tell you about McSame and Clinton if their dear friends are endorsing Obama?

Answer: There must be something terribly wrong with McSame and Clinton if even their close friends, who know them well, believe Obama is the best choice for our country!! Open your mind to better possiblities and think for the sake of our nation, America.

Senator Hillary is more qualified than Obama to become the nominee. But it seems that Senator Obama will be the nominee. In that case , Senator Obama , must at least offer Senator Clinton the VP, if the Dems.want to win in November.

Obama is ahead in the populate vote, too (dispite whatever your girl seems to think).

Obama: 16,652,031
Clinton: 16,209,754

These results do not include the results of Iowa, Nevada, Maine and Washington which are caucus states that do not release vote totals, and Florida and Michigan, which your girl agreed should not count. Get over it.

I think there was some cheating going on in Kentucky and Oregon for Hillary Clinton. Every time she needs this amount or that amount she comes up with it. Where has Bill been so quietly for the last few days. Something is not right because I can feel it in my soul.

This is just laughable. Racist panzies threatning us and our freedom and lifestyle that they are not going to vote for OBAMA if he is the nominee. what I have to tell all you hilly billies is ; go eat a rope ! we are going to win the primary, we are going to be the nominee, come may 31st, CLINTON would be stabbed by the committee where it matters the most. its going to be a lot of slow singing, alarm bells ringing and when we are done with that, we will pull the pants off that robotic old hag called MCCAIN and spank him all the way back to HANOI HILTON after we cover him up in baby diapers and put a pacifier in his mouth. either or children, we are going to be the PRESIDO.

OBAMA FOREVER !

andy k,
nice try, but the state party officials determine the rules for each state, and the DNC determines the rules that are in place for the primary elections to decide the party's nominee. the states decide whether they want primary elections or caucases or some combination of both. The DNC decides the metrics that matter. For this election, the rules that all candidates agreed to follow at the outset were that nominees are decided based on the accumulated totals of delegates they earn, both pledged and super delegates. In some states, pledged delegates can't switch. In others there are no rules about that. When candidates withdraw, all states have provisions governing how their delegates can then pledge for other candidates. Those are not anythingother than indications of the rules of the different states.

Popular vote is one indication of the will of the people, but it is not "better" than others.

And this year, it is not the one that matters. Too bad HRC's campaign consultants, for all the vast sums of money they charged, did not do a better job learning these rules and designing their campaign strategy to accumulate the most of what mattered.

But to try to reframe the metrics only after losing doesn't strike me as an indicator of a candidate's great concern for the will of the people. In fact, it seems a prima facia case for sore losing.

The time for HRC to argue about popular vote was last year. But that was when everyone was convinced that she couldn't lose. When the primaries are over, which will be AFTER the DNC rules committee determines how the party (and NOT the candidates) will deal with the FL and MI delegations, HRC will have one brief window of opporturnity to show both her personal grace and her true commitment to the party and the will of its voters.

I hope her supporters encourage the best parts of her to shine through on both fronts when the time for fighting among ourselves is finally over.

I'll be one of the people on Obama's team, hoping that her failed instincts to date haven't cost us all too much time and energy to win the white house.

Well, if all of you "voting Democratics" decide to stay home on Election Day, maybe I will be able to get in and out of the voting booth. Thank you for staying home! And one more thing, here's our opportunity to get a Republican out of the White House, but instead of doing this, we decide not to vote for a Democratic. What a selfish, disdain world (U.S.A) we live in! One more thing, thank you all for electing George Bush to 8 years of Presidency! We all know who did this!

Since when is someone declared a winner BEFORE the finish? This is May and November is six months down the road. A lot can change in peoples' thinking by then. (By then everyone will have all the information about the candidates to make a final choice). Remember the old saying that still holds true:
'Don't count your chickens before they hatch'.

Slightly narrows? Who is counting? These CNN guys are so biased. Pathetic! That's all I can say,, Pathetic.

Narrow would be somthing less than 100 delegates. This is not narrowing,,, not even significantly denting.

And by the way, lately, CNN does not report the Gallup poll,,, let's wait and see if Hillary closes that gap, they will start covering it again. LOL

If Hilary won the nomination, Obama's supporters are so liberal they would either vote for her or not vote, where Obama's problem comes in is that Hilary's supporters are moderates who will either not vote (which is not as big a problem) but the really damaging part is that they can vote for McCain.

There is only one answer Obama/Clinton 08.

Joan and other "Clinton or McCain" folks

You are all idiots and are not even listening to the words of your preferred candidate....Clinton has repeatedly stated her supporters should absolutely come out strong for Obama in November.

Are you people that stupid?? Wow, look what this education system has done to this country. Stupid people voting against the person that is most likely going to make their lives better.

well, may you continue to suffer!!

What is really funny is that Hillary still believes that she has a chance. She is in debt, some of the supporters of her strong bas are now flocking to Obama. Sure Hillary can stay in the race and she will be even more financially strapped and thoroughly embarrased at the end. All of the individuals that support Hillary and say that they will vote for McCain when Obama is the nominee are not Democrats. Ok. I understand that she is a woman and women everywhere beleive that she can win an shouldn't give up. The fact is, she has lost and in order to save face, she is trying to stay in the race. All Hillary is making herself look bad. You can lie to people, but you can't lie to yourself. Hillary give it up!

Let's see a monster win in Ky and she finished the night with a net gain of 13 delegates, she is behind by 185 ,so that is just 14 monster wins behind.Wait there are only 3 contests left.I'm sure that she will try to figure out how and where to have all these extra contests.Maybe borrow some from future elections after all she borrows money from herself. This is going to get interesting on June 3.

Judge a man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin..........NObama has no character and the only reason he's received any votes at all is because he is a black man. The black people are coming out of the wood work to give him 5 or 10 dollars to put him in office thinking their lot in life will be better. The only CHANGE they are going to get is for the worse.
