Bill Clinton says Chelsea may go into politics

Bill Clinton says Chelsea may go into politics someday.

(CNN) - Is politics in Chelsea Clinton's future?

Bill Clinton says maybe.

In an interview with People Magazine, the former president said he thinks his daughter is a natural campaigner who may one day follow her parents into the family business.

"If you asked me [whether Chelsea would go into politics] before Iowa, I would have said, 'No way. She is too allergic to anything we do.' But she is really good at it," the former president said in the latest edition of the magazine

Clinton also said Chelsea was deeply upset by her mother's disappointing third-place finish in Iowa in January.

"It all changed after Iowa," he said. "She realized her mother lost Iowa 100 percent because of younger voters. She was upset, bawled, went to her employer and said, 'Look, you got to let me go or give me an indefinite leave of absence. I'm not letting my mother go down like this.' "

Doubtful, given her attitude towards the press (i.e. refusing to take questions).

No, Chelsea's mom lost Iowa because she was not the better candidate. Plan and simple.

I am just so sick of the Clintons, hopefully not in my life time.
They have showed there true colors, and people are not going to be to easy to forget this circus that they preformed in this eletion. And besides you don't answer a question on the campagine trail (it's none of your bussiness) unless your'e John McSain. Chelsea should stay in the kitchen along with mother and bake cookies.

Sounds good to me – Chelsea's gotten the worst end of being a politician when she was a child. If anyone's got a thick skin and a well known past it is Ms. Clinton. So if she were to go into politics she knows what she's in for unlike Barack who doesnt seem to get why his wife is being scrutinized. Additionally she's got parents who have done a lot for america like them or not. She's learned the tough breaks of a campaign and has done amazing things for her Mother's campaign – putting a younger face on it etc. She's a strong woman and I like her more than Hillary

I hope she does. If she has 1/2 the mind of her parents, we would be lucky to have her.

HRC will never get my vote in 2016 if she breaks up the party this Nov. Now there grooming Chelsea to run in the future? Could they be the antichrist?

God no! We don't need politicians to run the country. Time is up for the constant fighting. Think about it, this would never fly in business. People need to get along and come to agreements, not stale mates. At the next state of the union address, make the Democrats and Republicans sit next to each other.. Absurd they sit on opposite sides. What is this teaching the young people?

Your moderation systems that only allows for comments that are not critical of CNN is cowardly and shameful.

No, No, No, No, No, No, and for the last time I plead, god no! Chelsea, your the only...if just moderately, sane member of your family left; don't do something foolish like going into politics. You are the good one! You stayed out of the light when your father was the President; and even helping your mother you've been rather quiet. I beg, plead, and pray, that you never get it in your head to follow your parents; as much for you as for us.

    Clinton '92!...or rather, Clinton '08!....er....Clinton 2020?

God help us all! Can't we ever be free from the Clintons??

Plus who wants a butt ugle representative, or legislator? All the money they have spent on her plastic surgery hasn't really helped.

Anyone could go into politics... I will wait to hear it from Chelsea Clinton herself. If she is smart, then she will lay low and be quiet for a few years. Once she has been on a city council or in a state legislature of some place she has lived, then it would be easier for her to run for a national office.
