Mr Obama is doing exactly right, go ahead and begin the search for a honest, fair and trustworth person. The Clintons should not be considered.

As a Clinton supporter who is undecided about whom to vote for in the upcoming election, the VP choice is going to seriously help my vote, and I doubt that I am the only one who feels this way.

Even though many Clinton voters say they will never vote for Obama, many will come around to him. (I actually voted for him in the primary) People often ask why and how. I tell them that before Super Tuesday I was undecided and leaned toward Clinton, but there was something about Barack Obama that as a young person, you couldn't resist.

After super tuesday, he lost his luster in my eyes. I am really trying to find a reason to support Obama in the fall, but the negatives keep coming out in my eyes....maybe a VP choice will push me over the edge

Thoughts?

What arrogance from Obama!
Just because he holds the lead in delegates, superdelegates, states won, popular vote and is 60 delegates away from the nomination is no reason to overstep his bounds.
Do we really want such a far-thinking man as our President?

You Obama-ites, say what you will, but Hillary had better be at least offered the role, or you can expect MANY of us over 45 working women to NOT be there in the Fall. If he's such a great uniter, working across party lines and across oceans, you would think he could figure out a way to work with a fellow Democrat who's given her life to the betterment of America.

Marilyn (and all you other idiots out there),

So you think that continuing the policies of the current administration, via voting for McSame, or not voting at all) is better for this country than putting a Democrat in the White House who may not hold all of your values, but will DEFINITELY change the course this country is going down?!

If so, then you have no right to call yourself a democrat!

Still amazing to see the Obama haters out there making up reasons why there would never vote for him. Lack of experience, elitist etc etc.
I suppose daddy's boy Bush had a lot of experience. Good guy to have a beer with though.
Grow up people.

Not sure if I trust a guy who chose runningmates for 2 LOSING TICKETS!!!

Although the problem wasn't John Edwards... it was the LOSER elitist John Kerry.

And I don't think Obama's runningmate will be the problem.... it'll be Obama and his status as a clueless, naive rookie!

LET'S PICK A WINNING TICKET THIS TIME!

GO Hillary!

If Hillary is not the VP, then I'm leaving the democratic party and voting for McCain....

I can't stand obama - Hillary, to me, is the WINNER and so if she doesn't end up on the ticket - I won't stay in the party....

I've been a democrat all my life, but this entire process has been disappointing and illegal - when you look at how the caucuses were handled.

Funny, b/c you aren't going to be the nominee.

Obama=Affirmative Action.

Why would the person with no experience be the nominee? B/C black people are voting for him 90%?

Hillary/Rendell 08
Hillary/Bayh 08
Hillary/Ford 08

These sound a lot better to me!

Think of this as a relay race. The Republicans are off and running. Obama is at the relay point, waiting for the baton from Hillary...and she's taking her sweet time about it. He can't wait for Hillary forever! John McCain will be too far ahead to catch! It is time to move forward so the DEMOCRATS stand a chance of winning the race!

I would say John Edwards. Chris since you are a complete idiot and didn't have nothing good to say, your message should be deleted. Why don't people answer the questions rather than say bias stuff? If you are another nominee supporter don't answer questions on other people that you didn't vote for. People show how stupid they are when I hear these negative comments. Okay Bush supporters I am calling you all out. Its all about the DNC party.

Pam...How is it pompous and presumptuous to do a job that needs to be done? John McCain is the presumptive Republican nominee and he's also started the process too. Do you think that's pompous and presumptuous? I don't know who you're supporting out of the 3 or even if you're supporting anyone at all, but it sounds to me like you're in denial like most "Clinton" supporters who thinks that she still has a shot at the nomination.

We know that's not going to happen and that Obama will be the leader, and winner, of this party in the fall! So can we just please move on and take care of the business at hand which is defeating John McBush and the rest of the Repubs. in Nov.

Obama '08!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody but Clinton because she'll codt you votes and double cross your administration, She's so slippery that she avoided questioning about her losing the Black vote with her"hard-working Americans, blue collar whites comment. not one Black person in America would vote for anything with her name on it. Of course the press is focused on can Obams win the white vote, which I see as white sore losers setting the table to try and steal the nomination, I'd suggest that nothing like that happen, and Ed Rendell, and the like go cry intheirbeer.

Obama is SO HIGHLY UNQUALIFIED to be the Nominee, he had better think in terms of all the qualities he doesn't possess like Government Experience, Foreign Affairs Experience, Leadership Experience, and ad infinitum. Obama has NOTHING to show for His 3 years in the Senate. Why do Voters think he can run this country? For a Candidate who Cannot offer a Decent Resume of Accomplishments to Voters, or any Future Ideas or Goals for a platform, except Two Words, Hope and Change, Obama had better find the person who SHOULD be sitting in His Shoes. Obama is the Most Unqualified Candidate who has ever attempted to run for National Office. He LACKS every quality that is necessary. It is FOOLHARDY and RIDICULOUS for the Democrats to Believe that Obama could and should be the Nominee. Obama hasn't a Clue.

This guy cannot win, democrats wake up before it too late. In good conscience, I cannot vote for Obama who has done nothing to merit the position he is seeking. If he was running for governor or something, but this is the highest position in the land.

Those of you selecting Edwards, didn't you know he's not interested?

Hillary is the only choice for VP. Unification of the party cannot be without her. He, at least, better ask her first, or he won't get my vote.

I know a lot of people feel like Hillary has earn the VP spot, however, Hillary don't "bring anything to the table" or does not support Obama's ideology of change and taking the high road when dealing with negativity. That’s like Batman picking the Joker over several available Robins to fight against crime with. I just don’t see that happening. Anybody, but Hillary.
Maybe:

Edwards
Sebelius
Colin Powell
Richardson
Webb
Hagel
Anybody but Hillary!

It's a shame that this primary has destroyed all of the Clinton's credibility. I would have liked to have seen her on the ticket at the beginning of this. But after all of Bill and Hillary's lies, pandering and dirty tactics, they have made that impossible. They have both (Hilary and Bill) done an excellent job of destroying their legacy.

It is time for Obama to move on to the next stage. I can't wait to see who he picks. If Hillary keeps dragging this Primary on forever, we will not have enough time to prepare for November. Hillary, please do the right thing and step down gracefully.

Folks, not to be a spoiler, but John Edwards has flatly denied wanting the VP spot. However, he does seem somewhat interested in the Attorney General spot. I like Sebelius or Webb for VP, Richardson as Secretary of State, and Hillary should consider a Supreme Court Justice posistion, where she'd have all the power she could ever want.

The perfect choice would be Jimmy Carter. Jimmy could be our chief negotiator with all of the terrorist leaders. Additionally, he could be put in charge of build new housing for all of those poor, blue collar workers who have no intention of voting for Obama this November. Yea, that's the ticket, Twiddle-E-Dee and Twiddle-E-Dumb running the country.

He can look as much as he wants and pick whoever he wants (duh we all know its Richardson the traitor), he's still going to lose in Nov.

At least 1/3 of Hillary supporters are voting for McCain and Obama won't be able to carry the important swing states. Yeeee...can't wait to see him fall.

I hope he picks Hillary. I didnt support her, but we need HER support. I just wish she stopped campaigning so he could make the offer. One has to respect the millions of voters who would like to see her in the new administration. And the Clinton years were'nt so bad after all. What we do have to do is to make sure that our leader delivers CHANGE and thats why we elected Barack Obama.

We love our country more than our party. Join the movement to make sure Obama is defeated and his political career is ended once an for all!!!

Wow to the comment from Chuck saying Obama using using a playbook from Rove... I believe it was the Clinton camp using rove to explain why they should be the nominee... Do you not read the news?

I am from Va and I think Webb would be an amazing choice. I fear a Hillary presidency, so I pray twice a day for the lord to deliver Obama to the white house. Clinton is manipulative, deceitful, and focused only on herself. She doesn't really care about anything unless it gets her where she wants... I still find it funny she pushes her "lead" in the popular vote by saying EVERY VOTE COUNTS when she is in fact omitting caucuses.... So again, every vote counts as long as it makes her look good. I am truly saddened Americans are supporting her and it makes me sad to be a citizen of this great nation when i see the number of people feed on her lies and corruption.

ANYONE BUT HILLARY. I am scared of her, but I am not of McCain. I think SHE will start WW3.... SHE will be the end of who we are. If Obama is not the nominee, then my money and support go to McCain.

ANYONE BUT HILLARY

I really don't want to see Hillary as his running mate... She is too good for him. It is outrageous to even suggest that she would run second to this first term, inexperienced senator.

Besides all of you who say McCain doesn't have a chance, think again. All he needs to do is take Ohio and New Mexico (which is juxtaposed with Arizona) and he has it. Guaranteed he can do this, guaranteed Obama will not meet the magic number... AGAIN!!!

Hillary Clinton for President!

By the way, I'm not voting for McCain... but I will be writing in Hillary Clinton on my ballot!!!!

Pam - I dont think its pompous and presumptuous. If Hillary thinks she's going to win, she should start thinking about that, too. Only 2 months to the convention, you know.

Chuck R - whats left to count? by the time June rolls around, Obama will have enough delegates to have clinched the nomination. I'm not being arrogant just stating fact. With Edwards getting 15% of the vote in Florida and those delegates would likely go to Obama, we'd be looking at a near 50-50 split (50-48 for Hillary, to be exact). Even if she got all of her delegates in MI and Obama didnt get any (which I doubt anyone would see as fair), she would be 90 or so delegates short with 86 left in play.

I understand many have a deep connection with Hillary. I would be happy with either candidate but the facts are that she will be short on delegates. So, most Hillary supporters are going to have to do some soul searching. Will you vote for a candidated that shares (for the most part) your candidates ideals, or will you vote for the polar opposite and put your personal pride over your country's future?

It doesn't matter who the VP pick is. there is no way he'll get the 270 electoral votes he needs to win. Hillary's people will vote for McCain. I know I will. There is no question about it. He's just going through the motions. I going to create a website for all of Hillay's voters to go to and support. We can endure 4 years of McCain in preparation for 2012 for Hillary. No Obama in 2008. And you Obama supporters keep thinking that Clinton supporters will forget everything done to her and come home to the Democratic Party. We won't forget and you will get a rude awakening in the fall. A great majority of us will never support that man, and I'm black, who lives in aswing state. Penn. Go figure! go McCain!
