Two more Edwards delegates switch to Obama

Edwards endorsed Obama earlier this month.
Edwards endorsed Obama earlier this month.

(CNN) – Two more pledged delegates who previously supported John Edwards have announced their support for Barack Obama, CNN has confirmed.

PolitickerNH.com first reported that State Sen. Peter Burling and Deborah Bacon-Nelson announced their decision Friday morning.

Three of New Hampshire’s four pledged delegates have now switched to Obama since the former presidential candidate’s decision to back the Illinois senator’s presidential bid. New Hampshire delegate Joshua Denton switched his support the day after Edwards endorsed Obama.

Nationwide, 12 of Edwards 19 delegates have now decided to support Obama, including six of Edwards' pledged delegates in South Carolina and three from Iowa.

Obama currently has 1,969 delegates to Clinton's 1,779 in CNN's official count.

Any day now I expect Hillary to announce she will pledge for Obama along with her delegate supporters. The Obama train still has room for republicans, independents, libertarians, ALL, get on board.

And Oregon Superdelegate Jenny Greenleaf has endorsed Obama. 1,970 to 1,779 now.

Also, Georgia, Alaska, Wyoming and Hawaii select the add-on superdelegates, 7 more total. All states Obama won. Expect him to get at least 6 more from those, and whichever other delegates endorse.

Without Clinton, the democrats will NOT win in November! And NO ONE cares what Edward's says OR does.

Another superdelegate from Oregon has just endorsed, I hope you'll report that. Please also start showing that Obama now needs only 56 delegates. He will definitely get that number by June 3. The countdown is realy exciting to follow in other networks!!!!

If Obama wins the presidency I might as well live in my car and take the prescription drugs from the companies that sponsored Obama. Because his health care plan will be mandatory for me and helpful to big drug and insurance companies. I will no longer afford a home because he will lift the payroll tax as he said he would in the Pennsylvania debate.

I will be sure to vote against any local politician in my area that endorsed him.

Obamabots are taking a huge gamble in a major economic crises with this man with no real plan.

I'll be taking a closer look at Edwards in 2012. He did a good thing for the Democrats by endorsing Obama and I'll be glad when other superdelegates do the same.

Well, I guess we will have another 4 years of Republicans! Thanks to the DNC and the media for pushing Obama down our throats.

Edwards is making a HUGE mistake by not accepting the VP role. I hope he reconsiders. If he is serious about making change, the time is now!

...and CNN, it OK to put such news at the top of the Ticker. Why do you always tuck OB's positve news aways two or three stories down, even under an old story that would have been posted hours before.

56 delegates to do to 2026! WOW!!!!!!!!

Welcome! Thank you. Please call other superdelegates and urge them to step forward. It doesn't matter for who, what matters is that they grow a pair and put forth thier support for one or the other.
