Scenes from the trail: Obama's 'caminata'

ALT TEXT

BAYAMON, Puerto Rico (CNN) - Barack Obama talked to supporters along a parade route in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Saturday. The event was referred to as a "caminata," a traditional parade for a candidate on the island.

Standing on the wooden box, Obama told supporters, "I am absolutely confident that if that we keep on working hard, there's no reason why we cant win here in Puerto Rico and if we win Puerto Rico we will win the nomination and if we win the nomination, we will win the general election."

Why does Hillary Clinton continue on when Barack Obama now has a majority of pledged delegates and her campaign is almost $20 million in debt?
Counting Florida? to destroy Obama with the pretense you are doing it for the women of the world. I am one of your former women supporters, Hillary. Get out!

By the way, if Hillary can’t run a campaign without debt, how would she run the country?

Hillary, I have been your supporter from day-one, I think it is now time that you get out of the race for the sake of our party that we all love very much.
If you continue to stay in the race, you will be paving the way for another four years of George Bush's mess.John mcCain is no different from George Bush.

    I agree with you, Helen.
Obama has run an incredibly efficient, fiscally sound and responsible campaign. Both McCain and Clinton have had money management problems, and staff turnover.

Obama has shown that he has the management ability AND the right judgement (based on all the management decisioins that he had to make in order to run such a fiscally responsible campaign!) to be an effective and responsible President.

If Hillary supporters vote against him in protest and John McCain gets elected, then they will just be hurting themselves AND their children and grandchildren in the long run. I cannot imagine that they will be so foolish, shortsighted and ignorant to elect 4 more years of Bush!

Puerto Rico – I hope that you understand that Obama has more in common with you than Hillary ever will! Use your vote wisely and vote Obama!

Don't get me wrong, Hillary has made me angry several times in this election season, but overall, she is a historic candidate and could honestly have been a much better president than Bush. . . but it's time to get the troops together for the November battle. We have have to win this one . . . the future of our country depends on it. The Republicans have reeked enough havoc on us for too long.

How's he going to win the nomination if he wins Puerto Rico? Again, like his 57th state, he has trouble with numbers. He's forgetting about Florida and Michigan. This is going all the way to the convention where the Credentials Committee will have to deal with it. Relax Obami, it's going to a long hot summer.

A wooden box how humble can you get. This is a real and true man. God is allowing him to reveal the truth to use for once and for all. No more BAU. Washington belongs to us. May 23, 2008 was Black Friday for the Clinton supporters. Bye Bye Hillary.

Hopefully, voters in PR will have more sense than many recently on the mainland. Its time to get behind our nominee if we're going to win this Nov. He has already won, now is the time to unite.

Today in Puerto Rico Obama said,

"I have learned that when you are campaigning for as many months as Senator Clinton and I have been campaigning, sometimes you get careless in terms of the statements that you make and I think that is what happened here," Mr. Obama said. "Senator Clinton says that she did not intend any offense by it and I will take her at her word on that."

After the way the Clintons' pounced on him after bittergate, I really wanted him to go after her. But hey this statement is what makes him great

Obama is surely a winner puerto ricans are not stupid people they know who clinton is,,, moreso now that she is revealing herself to be a murderer,,they wont risk voting for her,,,Because only a mentally inbalance person will thumb for hillary after her utterances about R kennedy,,,,no matter how much she pretends to be innocent, or meant no harm,,, only shallow thinking person will buy that from her,, she is just hanging arround to see that Obama get killed and commiserate for a minute,,then demand the nomination,,, evils unto evil doers and evil thinkers,,,,,my father used to tell me do unto others as you wish to be done unto you,, she wishes death for Obama,,,God ,s willing bad things will befall her too,, that shows the type of president you want in white house,,very soon she will pray that all Obama delegates get killed too,,,, useless woman,,, puerto Ricans knock her out,,,, once and for all,,,God bless you all

Clinton has decided that the uneducated white population is her main voting bloc during this primary season. So maybe she thinks she should act like she's from W. Virginia in order to truly feel what it's like to be one of her supporters.
Well now you know Hillary – and it's not a great way to go through life.
So make an appropriate apology, start using your privileged educated background to pull this country together and rise above the racism that you so repulsively condoned for the past 5 months.

We know you're not stupid, so that leaves the country to believe that you're in need of some serious
    counseling.
