I hope the DNC will carefully consider that by the time November rolls around, for most Americans the top priorities, rightly so, will be national / homeland security / foreign policy and the economy. With the issues of nuclear proliferation and the possibility of another terrorist attack, as well as the weak economy, on the front burner, we will be looking to someone who is strong on all these issues. Senator McCain is much stronger than Senator Obama on foreign policy, and Senator Obama's economic policies are stronger than McCain's (although half the country does not believe that Senator Obama has the ability to make a difference). However, Senator Clinton is strong on both the foreign and domestic fronts. She will be a stalwart against our enemies and for our allies, while reinstating diplomacy abroad. In addition, she will improve the economy, which will put the U.S. in a stronger position worldwide. This powerhouse combination will strengthen the U.S. and move it forward again. This is the bottom line for the DNC and all Americans. We cannot screw this up again. Hillary Clinton must be the Democratic nominee.

I want the DNC, Clinton, & Obama to follow the DNC rules, which indicate that a state that violates the primary date loses only 50% of their original delegates (not 100%). That's what the Republicans did, and that's what the Democrats should do.

But it's all really moot. The nominee is the person who gets the most pledged delegates, and that will be Obama unless something very unexpected happens. The popular vote has NEVER counted in a primary (just as, unfortunately, it doesn't matter in the general). The only way that Clinton can win is to convince the superdelegates to move her way because of the popular vote. As she keeps making this argument, the superdelegates are moving to Obama, knowing full well what the vote count is.

Hillary nor Obama had nothing to do with the elections being moved up, But your talking of millions of people in those two states, Now Hillary has the advantage because she won both states and Obama is saying that those states don't count, well then why spend millions of dollars having elections that don't matter, Obama will lose if he does not make an effort to revote completley or leave the votes like they are, Now MI he was no on the ballot so they should revote to give the candidates the benefit of doubt, Now if Obama say's that everybody new that they wouldn't count than why did over 2.3 million went out to cast there votes, I feel that in the future they need to have people watching the elections because at the end, It's going to hurt everybody, Obama has to much hidden secrets and he will not win the GE Clinton agreed to get those elections paid and he didn't want, what is he afraid of that those states won't vote for him, well at the end alienating all this people will not give him the nomination. Hillary has been a fighter and we will back her up all the way. There is nothing to be confused about people don't trust Obama, with all that has come out of himm Atleast Hillary life is out . Texas loves Hillary, she won the primary and Obama got more deligates, People work they can't be in line to vote for a stupid caucus, she beat him by like 200 thousand votes, Obama can only inspire people with speaches, but when it comes to delivering , he does not do anything, Times were good in the 90's when they were in office, Let's compare a Freshman Senator to a Senior Senator with all the experience. People think Hillary is our only hope...

Well, I've read most of the comments and I find them interesting and humorous. Few have got it right. For the record, FL & MI would NOT be disenfranchised as they get to vote in the GE. That the DNC & RNC hold primary elections is a further move towards democracy. However, both the DNC & RNC could simply pick a name out of a hat (or choose someone independant of the voting process) and then run that candidate as the Dem or Rep nominee. People still get to vote in the GE and from a constitutional perspective nobody has been disenfranchised. In short, the DNC & RNC are doing us a favor by holding primarys and not acting as Kingmakers. Like it or not, it is what it is.

Face it folks. One side or the other is NOT going to be happy. But contrary to what one side claims, there is a very clear majority in terms of popular vote, pledged-delegates, super-delegates, & states won. Popular vote is the question mark, but it is only a question in Sen. Clintons camp. Everyone else totals up all the votes (incl. the votes in caucus states) and sees quite plainly that in terms of counting every vote that's been cast, Sen. Obama is ahead by 500,000 votes or so. I'm not sure what the fru-fru is about this Sat. It won't have any bearing on who will be the nominee. Sen. Obama is the democratic candidate for POTUS.

Accept it, or don't accept it. As for me, I'm ready to have some fun with Sen. McCain, the RNC and all those fat, middle aged, so-called conservatives on the Hill. This is gonna be a hoot!

Before commenting I read all the previous comments. I cannot believe the hate spilling forth. What is wrong with you people? Obama won fair and square because he was nominated by the people, right? Clinton fought hard, but lost. We democrats need to stick together and send a DEMOCRAT to Washington, no matter what. I see the same people leave the same type of messages on this blog-I really think that the one's who state they will vote for McCain -if their Hillary doesn't get the vote -are Republicans who deliberately come into this website to try and sway our votes. If Clinton doesn't get the nomination, you will vote for McCain? Sounds like republican bs. ESPECIALLY, since Hillary has admitted that Senator Obama has similar policies!! And if you are a true democrat AND still vote for McCain, you will have to live with the consequences. You would rather the Iraq war continue because you didn't get your way? You would rather have our poor American soldiers die because you didn't win? Pathetic and so selfish its unbelieveable!!

The DNC should never have given into Clinton. This is the most unfair thing done to date. Some of the people didn't vote because they knew the vote wouldn't count. Some of the candidates weren't on the ballot...what kind of a decision will the DNC make that will be fair? If they need to come of with something it better be 50/50. This is all because Hillary is determined to win. What a mockery!!up

The DNC picked a small venue to limit the number of people who could attend. The last thing the DNC wants to do is let the general public see, for itself, how biased and UNDEMOCRATIC the self-described Democratic Party is, but, little by little, the Undemocratic Party is revealing itself. For one thing, it's obviously UNDEMOCRATIC if the superdelegates hand the nomination to the person who loses the popular vote, i.e., goes against "the will of the people." Also, it will show itself to be unfair and UNDEMOCRATIC if it ends up treating Florida and Michigan any differently than it treated Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina--all three of which violated the same Rule 11 as Florida and Michigan by moving their caucus/primaries up to earlier dates than the earliest the DNC said they could hold them (Jan. 3 vs. Jan. 14 for Iowa, Jan. 8 vs. Jan. 22 for New Hampshire, and Jan. 26 vs. Jan. 29 for south Carolina). Someone isn't playing fair!

CNN, you are priceless. You continue to stump for HRC. You won't go anywhere near the story about McCain economic advisor, Phill Gramm and his ties to the mortgage crisis, advising McCain on deregulation of the mortgage industry, all the while lobbying for one of the companies central to this national disgrace. Who's paying you to keep this story off your site?

The DNC made a terrible rule, now they have to fix it. If the FL and MI vote are not allowed to count, then we will have McCain as our president and we may lose a few democrati leaders in the future. The people won't forget.

People around me (who are very educated, like PhDs) voted for Obama for the primaries. I asked them why they supported BO. They could not give me any making sense answers, but saying "for a change". I know the fact that none of them really did investigations about him and his past. Yes, they were PhDs and they didn't do any research on BO before voting for him. Now most of them realized that it was all hype about him that was created by the media. I am just shaking my head....hope there is anything can fixed the mess created by the media...how sad. Sham on them.

An Ohio Voter

Please clarify your statement that other states broke the rules. Exactly who are you refering to? MI and FL are the ONLY ones that moved up their primaries and went against the rules. All the others voted according to the calendar that was set up.

Sharon Minnesota

I am so sick of your constant negative remarks. Just once, I would love to see you post something contructive. You don't have to post anything about Obama, just something, just once that is positive. I am beginning to think you are an extremely unhappy person. I just want you to be happy and not so angry all the time. Put a smile on when you get ready to post. Say something nice about your candidate instead of attacking all the time. I ask of this for your sake and for your health.

For those who say the M and F votes should be counted or the voters will be disinfranchised I got good NEW, the voters who voted were told the votes would not count therefore voters who heard that news did not vote for their potential candidates because they thought their vote would not count. Therefore the bitter truth of the matter is those voters who didn't vote for their potential candidate. In fairness those votes should not be counted. What moron would argue with those truthful facts. DNC stick to the rules. That lawsuit is a joke I can tell you what the judge will give opinion for the DNC to follow their own rules . This is a one sided argument Hillary argument is nothing but air to attempt to avoid a lawsuit peterfpaul.com.

COUNT MY MICHIGAN VOTE!!! This process has been completely disenfranchising to all of the Michigan voters. And splitting the votes "50/50" is equally disenfranchising- how would you like YOUR state's vote counted that way??? COUNT THE VOTES! STOP DISENFRANCHISING VOTERS! The Obama campaign really is worse than the Republicans! They want to steal this nomination without Florida and Michigan. Let him try. He'll lose, and he'll have our two states to thank!

COUNT MICHIGAN'S VOTE!!!! AS - WE - VOTED !!!! NO "50/50" BS !!!!

You can't punish MI and FL voters for what officials decided. Nobody can give away your right to vote. Our country was formed on the idea of no taxation without representation. Maybe FL and MI should refuse to pay all Federal taxes for the next four years.

In response to Kevin:
"Shame on all candidates for agreeing to leave out these two states from the start. They should all as democrats have demanded that a solution be found before the campaign started. It is very revealing that a man who talks about change was so casual about the voting rights of millions of people."

...Kevin, please let's not forget that Hillary ALSO stated in February that the final number to reach would be 2026 (which excluded Michigan and Florida). Now she as well wants it changed.

It's not the DNC's fault, it's not Hillary's fault, it's not Barack's fault...it's the fault of the silly politicians in Michigan and Florida that jumped the gun.

Obama. Please. Isn't this the same bozo who ran up one side of Clinton and down the other because she said something that was inaccurate??? I think so. What his grandfather did before he was born is TOTALLY irrelevant to who and what he is or does or stands for. Truly a CROCK, and this guy WILL LIE AND SAY JUST ABOUT ANYTHING TO GET ELECTED! And I don't hear the Clinton Camp demanding an apology from wunderkind.

Old politics? YUP! Obama is an old school slick POLITICIAN, except he's not very good at it. You've seen one concentration camp, you've seen them all. Right, Barry or Barack or whatever your name is. Don't worry, I remember Reverend Wright's name- your friend you could no more reject than you could reject your own grandmother-until it was no longer convenient.

Now both candidates agreed that MI and FL weren't going to be in play. Now, since Hillary so desperately needs those delegations, she is pushing for the rule change. Wow! It also is funny to see the Hillary supporters become so bitter at the nomination process after Obama pretty much ran a clean campaign. Some mud was slung around every now and then, but only after he was attacked repeatedly in a Republican like fashion from a fellow Democrat. It is evident to those who do not want to unify the party behind Obama are worst than elitist. They are bigots...those hit sit in churches and bible studies but practice the art of hypocrisy day to day. They would rather see more harm come to the great number of people in this nation than to see an opportunity for change all in the name of what? Skin color, misguided notions of his religion, and familiarity with the works of government? You guys really need to practice what's written in the Good Book.

The states knew that there would be problem because they were notified of the rules before they moved the date of their primaries. I say let them seat 50% of the normal delegate number and have them split 50/50 between Clinton and Obama. All the rules were known ahead of time; this should not have been a problem for so long.

Tipical Republican style, They set high standards and values for everyone else but they value it less. But everyone get a load of the hot news Bush former spokeman McCelland's book just out tell all about the Bush's Improprities at the Whitehouse. States the Iraq war was unnecessary. Like I fore stated tipical Republicans. These commenter and Hillary supporters who say they will vote for McCAIN if Hillary don't win the nomination are no doubt people who works in her campaign. I can't for the life of me see how anyone would even give a first thought to voting for McCain or any Republican, Look at the economy for the last 71/2 years. You or either filthy rich or insane. They have got to have very low morals to support someone like Hillary. This womwn is a disgrace to America!!!!!. I also think part of her reason for keeping her campaign going because she is attempting to avoid the lawsuit PaulVs Clinton. The Clinton's lawyer got the judge to hold of her deposition until after the General Election, What that tells you. If she gets the Presidency she hopes, then she will use executive priviledge, the Clinton's are pros at getting out of their wrong doing.

to you folks that say thousands followed some rules and didn't vote, so therefore Florida shouldn't count..... that is just crazy talk. what makes you think that only Obama supporters didn't vote? and what rules are you talking about. No one said we should not vote to follow some rules?? Obama clearly violated the rules by campaigning in Florida in person and with TV ads he ran for two weeks continuously. He voluntarily took his name off the ballot with John Edwards. He is the one that decided that the voters in Michigan don't count for anything when he did that. That was disrespectful to the voters of Michigan. and he kept his name on the ballot in Florida because he thought he might have a chance there, hence that's why he ran all those TV ads there. You guys that are all about rules seem to forget about Obama breaking them at will. And why are you guys so quick to take a person's right to vote away?? What did I do wrong as a voter in Florida, that now you want me treated as a common felon. Oh that's right I voted......????
this whole process has been a sham, and Howard Dean needs to step down. If they want to investigate something, they should look at the caucus system that"s based on peer pressure and bullying, and has little to do with democracy.

It's so sad to see all this hatred for a democrat.

I will never vote for Obama but only because I don't like to put someone without experience and that voted present to many times in office. If he could take a desition and vote how can he be president?

The DNC better come up with some way to get Obama out of this election! Scads of people who had already voted for him prior to learning his true color, will not support him in the general election. Hopefully, the DNC in all their infinate wisdom is aware of this. There are many of us out here, who supported him blindly...not realising all he's done for the past 20 yrs, is work to firmly embed himself in one racial community over another, and done so radically. I'm a bi racial woman, born in the same decade as BO, and I believe he's an extreme racist, and is not to be believed. I will leave the Democratic Party if he's the nominee, and I know MANYYYYYYYYYYY others who feel exactly the same. Hillary Clinton, should run as an Independent. No other Candidate, has her Credentials...Bill, and proven successful past of fixing our Nation, in exactly the condition it is now in. Are they perfect? NO! Are they proven, and capable of fixing our nations current situation? YES! I couldn't even vote for her with him as her VP, much less vice versa! He's the epitomy of lying smooth talking man! That's all he is. He has serious identity issues, and prejudices, that disqualify him from leading the most racially diverse nation on our planet. I don't care what color you are...he's veryyyyyy bad news! I'm furious that I was so gullable, and hoped he was the sheep...not just another wolf. Which is exactly what he's turned out to be...Scarey that this inexperienced racial extreemist might be the nominee of the Party I have supported my entire life. Lou Dobbs here I come!

1) I don't believe that even seating Florida and Michigan will satisfy Hillary (because she will still be behind).

2) Even after seating FL and MI, I am sure she will find a new reason to create confusion and divide the party... Bill already started the "cover-up" excuse and Hillary is talking about changing the whole DNC primary rules.....Hillary also argues that she should be the nominee because she won the so called "important states in general election"

3) I am sure that her disagreement will continue even beyond primaries and even beyond general election... SO JUST IGNORE HER AND MOVE ON!!!

The comments from the obama group are a DISGRACE to your candidate - that guy of "UNITY" - nice to see the obama "type"

Obama has blocked FL & MI votes for months now - but - seems he might need them to win the general - so....now what to do?????
He also sent Sharpton down to FL to make sure these votes did NOT count - BUT - was offered a Re-vote - said NO to that also.
He only wants to campaign in states he can WIN - he LOST in both FL & MI - so he does not want to count them - Seems Fair???????

Barack Obama is going to be one our greatest President's ever. He has integrity, honesty, moral values, and he tells the truth.

The story about Barack's great uncle was true. He was incorrect about the place but corrected it. He is doing the right thing on wanting to help our military going to school when they get out of the service. They don't need to live under a bridge.

McCain isn't the only one that was ever a Veteran. He appears to be a puff of hot air with a big temper and hanging on the coat tails of Bush. Tonight he is sneaking around like nobody knows he is funding with Bush. Please. Remember McCain didn't know who the leaders were standing in Iraq with Senator Lieberman when he had to keep telling McCain on TV that he was confused about the groups of people he was talking about. People do make honest mistakes. Now the Bosnia sniper trip that Hillary talked about was a lie.

The DNC will seat MI and FL 50 -50. For the sake of the USA Hillary needs to bow out gracefully. She has so much to offer apart from Bill - in her own right..

YES WE CAN - WHEN WE UNITE.

To the obama group : this is a FACT!!!
Forget all that happened Before FL & MI voted. A REVOTE was scheduled and funded for BOTH states - obama BLOCKED IT!!!!!!!

WHY???????????? AND YOU STILL CLAIM HE FOLLOWED THE RULES??????? This was to be a RE-VOTE - a whole NEW primary with campaigns - the DNC agreed, both states agreed, Clinton agreed - obama said NO!!!
So - he gets ZERO Votes!
Obama is a FRAUD & a LIER - Check this out - FACT!
