WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Democratic Party is likely to meet rule-breaking Florida and Michigan halfway when it comes to seating their delegates at the national convention, two members of the rules committee said Wednesday.
Such a move may help Sen. Hillary Clinton close the delegate gap with front-runner Sen. Barack Obama but not overtake him, said sources familiar with party deliberations.
The sources did not want to be identified because the full committee has not yet discussed the problem or ruled on it.

The democrats have mulled Obama. His chances of winning in November have been mulled. He has two states now off his list to win the general election he is left with 48. He hasn't been supportive of the counting of Fl and MI votes all along the people have been noticing. This man does not only want to change washington but also to change the way Americans vote
Halfway means a 50/50 split. Even then Senator Obama still leads.
What gets me about this whole entire fiasco is that Hiliary didn't even want MI or FL when she had a solid lead. Now she is losing and all of a sudden wants those delegetes.
Now she is losing and all of of sudden she wants to win the nomination solely on the popular vote in which she trails.
Now she is losing, she is frequently called, "a fighter", but she isn't fighting for the people. Hiliary is fighting for Hiliary and the legacy she has left.
They have talked about seating 1/2 of Flordia delegates according to the vote and the other half 50/50.That would be more than fair to her but they won't want to accept it because it won't help her win.Since he wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan the only fair thing would be to split 50/50.SHE CANNOT WIN!!!
The DNC are completely backward. Why did they think it was a good idea to ban these votes from being counted in the first place?
It was a strategic plan to give their goldenboy nominee a lift!

Whatever the compromise it must take into serious account the following – the fact that 48 other states played by the rules during this nomination process. While I do accept that there should be a compromise so that voters in Florida and Michigan are heard, I don't think it would be fair (or wise for that matter ) to discount how the rest of the country handled the process.
Look how smug she lokks in the picture as if she has pulled a rabbit out of her hat by throwing a temper tantrum. The Super D. a's and the Rules committee better quash this now. I, as an Independent are Obama supporter, and if the Dems change the rules in the 4th quarter, they will loose millions of votes. It send a signal that the Democratic party cannot be trusted to stand up to the rules that they placed. I find it amusing that Terry McAuilff and Harold Ickes, plus 13 other Clinton surrogates set these rule in September, and are now crying how unfair it is. Hypocrites – the whole- bunch of them!
What a mockery of democratic principles the Clinton camapign has become!! How could this woman who openly insists that the rules be changed to suit her "math", dividesa country into "groups" of voters, uses statistics which she can't prove and openly uses fear tactics and threat ever hope to be a leader of the free world.
She truly has become a symbol of a bully, and someone who CAN NOT be trusted to follow the rules. How can she even be considered a leader??
It will be a sad day for America's standing and credibility in the democratic world if this woman gets her way!

What super delegates they could only be called Billary supporter delegates. I mean everyone knows that this process is out of control the party is cracking down and is (not will be) divided but they don't want to do any thing about it. Didn't Obama won the states of the majority of the remaining delegates and yet to support him! Why?
Because they want to give it to Billary since they want history to repeat as Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton.

In 2000 Gore made the stupid mistake of wanting to recount only some of the counties – VERY selective… now again in one the smoothest primaries with record turn out in Florida we are going to count some of the votes maybe… I belonged to this party because is the party of the “people” but I guess is FOR some people and no longer a 50 state race… I WILL VOTE AGAINST THE PARTY THAT TAKES AWAY MY MOST BASIC RIGHT…
Florida and Michigan should be punished in some way or form to set a precedent for the future period.

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican however I find it shocking that a potential leader of the country, Hillary Clinton, would have such flippant disregard for rules. The DNC had a set of rules and the two states chose to break them, fully knowing what the consequences would be. Well now that they have been stripped of their delegates, they're crying about the consequences. Didn't we all learn something about personal accountability...in kindergarten?! And now Mrs. Clinton is up in arms for those two states because counting them will be beneficial to her. But when she was in the lead, she didn't seem to care about them. So we have a potential presendential candidate who has shown that if it's in her best interest, the rules don't matter. I personally wouldn't want someone like that running the country.
Hillary is and has been the WEAKER candidate. If it were not for the rants of a preacher which she used to strike fear in white americans this would've been over weeks ago. I see no leader in Hillary.

Will the Democrats settle matters well enough to unify the party? Will Clinton stop her campaign and start working toward uniting the party after June 3rd? Unity should be the Democrats message. HRC, please stop dividing the party.
I think that some the delegates should be counted but not all of them because they clearly broke the rules. An equal delegate split between Obama and Hillary in Michigan and a 2/3 split for Hillary and 1/3 for Obama should be more than fair.
Once this has been worked out, Billary needs to take a seat and shut up. They have stripped the integrity of this campaign. CNN I dare you to post this comment!
Let's get this resolved and move on to the General Election which will be between BO and McBush!!
If the rules are changed, Florida and Michigan delegates should be split 50/50 between Obama and Clinton. Its the only fair way because both candidates agreed on the rules last year.

If you do the math Hillary fans, she would have to get over 70% of the delegetes to come close to Obama, that won't happen she should just quit. I can't imagine her makeing a bigger fool of herself, but she is going to try.

Rule is rule.May be Hillary will have to give another rule to the party bcos everything that doesnt suit her is bad.Why are the rule made?May be to break it and go scot free as far as Hillary is concerned.

When you are a member of a particular group or organisation you are compelled to abide by their rules. If the rules do not suit you then you have to option to quit the group or seek amendmends as soon as the rules are made. It's simple and straight.
In a game the referee's call is final even when the call made by an error. Remember the Soccer World Game final when Maradona made the winning goal with his hand. Just last night a foul was not called when Fisher(LAL) fouled Barry(SA Spurs) at the critical last game wining shot.
This election is much more important than games but yet we all should fillow the rules no matter what the outcome. If Hillary is bent upon to bend the rules then what would she do if she becomes the Chief. She has every right to go to the finish line and we all support her to continue till the last vote is casted but please do not try and bend the rules. The voters and the people will not forgive and there are chances she will loose her senate seat if she further does anything silly.
