Florida and Michigan delegates should not be seated. They know the rules and they still went ahead to hold their primary earlier. It doesn't make sense. It feels like law-breakers gets rewarded and it also gives the impression that some people are above the law and get away with anything. Filing for lawsuits has been the be-all and end-all method for people who need an excuse. Pretty disgusting!!!!

**But again, if I am paranoid enough, I would say this is a political strategy for the Clintons. The Clintons were OK with excluding Florida and Michigan when they were ahead. However, now that they are behind, they are pushing for Florida and Michigan to be counted. This puts a huge question mark on HRC's true motives. Was Florida and Michigan excluded earlier for the "just in case" fallback if she loses????

**And for the superdelegates:: It is OK if you cannot come out and endorse any candidate at this time. I just hope you are doing it for the right reasons. The decision is tough but I have full respect for those who are trying to discern what the American people wants. Delaying your endorsements out of respect for the Clintons is NOT a right reason. Government service (even for presidents) was a job that the person has chosen to serve. They should not expect a payback or gratitude from the American people (who put them in office on the first place) or the people they choose to appoint in office. On my opinion, you are in your respective positions because of your merits and ability to serve your country and not because Clintons can put a noose on your neck when the need arises.

I break the mold and start over in the middle of the race? When a race car driver is losing to his opponent and their is a lot at stake, do we ask the drivers to come back an start all over again? Now this is a bad solution to this race. We are asking the American People to forgive the voters who was in their right mind to vote and now that it didn't count why? When it all boils down to the fact the some people can't stand the fact that no party rules were broken and Obama is ahead, but look at all the negative and bad things Hillary has done and she is behind. Why should she come up top? Because she is a women. If this is true then who is being sexist here the DNC? Think about it and very hard because this is what you are telling the American People that you want a women who is behind and a man who has done everyting that as ask to be in this race. Ickes and Flournoy think about your values and what it means to the American People who are not Hillary women voters or supporters. We should all be equal and not separate.

The Clinton camp wouldn't be fighting this if Hillary were in the lead. And she claims she wants to unite the Democratic party, yet she contradicts herself every day. She should bow out gracefully with the shards of dignity she has left.

I posted on the last article, i sat and read all of the comments made about Obama not being electable and it makes me sick that some people think Clinton is more electable than Obama. Second of all for those of you who say you would rather vote for Mccain or stay home are either lieing or just plain STUPID, there is know way in this world that people in thier right mind will vote for Mccain after what or Georgy has done to our country. We are in a war for what Nothing we couldve at least taken the gas from Iraq, but in my driveway sits my SUV because it cost more to put gas in it than it does for the payment. I repeat when i say this if Obama was a different skin color we would have no problems or he would have no problems being electable. Can someone please tell me what HRC has done in the past to make he ready for that phone call when she cant even keep her own house in order. All black americans use to say how Bill was the first black president and how well he has done for the Black americans not African we were or majority were born in the USA. To tell you the truth this is getting old, once again I dare CNN to create a poll to see the reason why they wont vote for Obama, dont balme Wright Mccain had a sponser to, only difference is Mccain was left alone after a day or so. The real reason will be is because of his skin color no matter how you look at it, add Florida and Michigan split give her 60 and give him 40 she still cant win, so guess what in 2010 we will still be in Iraq paying 12-13$ a gallon for gas living on the streets than what will we say, H&B will still be wealthy and the Mr.Bush will still be the oil guy he is, On and by that time Mrs.Mccain Will be riding the horses in the Bud commercials, Get it together people we all bleed the same blood, we all live in this country, vote with your heart and not with your eyes, Vote for the best candidate Obama,Mccain but dont let BILLHIL scare you.

The states did not obey the rules, so they have to be punished somehow. What makes me laugh is even if she gets what she wants, she still won't be ahead.Usually when you cheat, you win. But imagine, she wants to cheat....and she'll still LOSE! Now that's brainy...

Hillary's attempt to steal the election continues, but will not be tolerated. So instead she will stir up trouble so that she can run again in 2012.

The only reason for such a move is the create the illusion to the people of Florida and Michigan that there voice is being heard, however, the support they have showed to Hillary has been neglected until found to be needed. She is as hypocritical as a typical politician, which I found very sad.

All in all, this is totally moot since we know who the nominee will be and Hillary needs to face it and bow out gracefully before she does any more damage (but I expect the worst).

Florida and Michigan knew the rules but decided to try them anyway. Screw them and their votes. What message does it send to everyone if we even "meet them in the middle"? Granted, it was FL and MI party leaders who made the decision, and not the folks who actually wanted to make sure their vote was counted, but it just sucks to be them...they should be mad at their party officials, not the DNC or any candidate. Besides the principle, Obama didn't campaign in either state and his name wasn't even on the ballot in MI. All candidates were okay with the DNC's decision to not seat those delegates. Why has someone been working so hard on changing that now?...since they're losing? That's poor sportsmanship...I don't care which candidate would be doing this...don't be a sore loser.

Well this is so simple to me we have rules and laws put in place to govern our lives and contests, why have 2026 delegates to win why not the majority are why not who ever wins the most ststes lets change some more rules why not let who raise the most money better yet lets not have any rules let all the people in prison free are at least change there crimes to lesser ones they didnt mean to break them it was right at the time but now they see were it does not work in thier favor so let change the rule for them also sporting events should let the loser have one more chance to win our children should cry and have bad sportmenship if they lose because they should expect for the rules to be change for them to win. See the Clinton think they can move the goal post the basket, the net, the law,the rules to suit them but the message is not right is that what you stand for is that what this country stands for do the right thing stand by the freaking Rules

You're a little late CNN. Chuck Todd at MSNBC said this about 2 weeks ago. This, although still partically giving in to the Clinton Machine, is propaply the best way to resolve the issue and avoid a delegate fight at the Convention.

Anyone who says that they are taking their vote and giving it to the Republicans since the democrats don't want it is not reading because the RNC only counted MI & FL at 50% strength as well for breaking the rules. Also, you have to at least give Obama the uncommmitees in MI because c'mon, we all know that he would've probably carried the state in a real election or it would have at least been very tight. She's making out like a bandit if they go 50% and should accept the generous donation.

Part of the rules is that there is an appeals process, which means the rules committee can decide to amend the rules. Awarding half of the MI and FL delegates is not going to change the race, just make it more likely that those states' dems will vote in November.

Don't be rigid.

I have part of Obama's new plan for the olympics. When the race begins you look forward and if you feel you can not catch up, quit the race. This new attitude would end the countless hours of sports play-offs. In October when the polls show he is behind in the race by 20 points, I expect him and all his supporters to call for him to quit. That is the American spirit or at least the "new and improved" version.

HRC drives me nuts with this whole making sure the votes count, because it will favor her. It is strictly for her personal gain. I know for a fact she wouldn't be worried about those votes if it meant that Obama would over take her. She doesn't care that his name wasn't on the ballot in Michigan. She just as well take all the delegates there. She's playing on the emotion of the people in FL and MI saying that every vote needs to be counted and getting them emotional about having their vote count to put pressure on the DNC so SHE can gain. Not for the sake of the people. It's so obvious. If I was in Obama's camp and she wants to boost about the popular vote, then I would find a way to count the caucuses as well. People voted there too. But she wont count them, why? Because she doesn't benefit with way. She only wants the numbers in her favor. I don't see how Hillary supporters can be proud of this woman and her childlike behavior. Obama is playing by the rules that was started in the beginning of the Primary. He has never tried to cheat the rules in his favor. FL & MI's local government failed them. It's not Obama's fault that those states decided to break the rules. Hillary signed off on the decision as the others in the party did, stating that the votes were not going to count? What changed?

I now officially DESPISE Hillary and am disgusted by her tactics. She is extermely skilled at creating division and controversy....she'll do great trying to get bi-partisan support for bills. Those skills must be neccessary skills to be the president.....Bush is also an excellent divider.

Hey "No Way"-- you do understand that Florida VOTERS had no choice. The FL legislature changed the primary dates, not the FL Democratic party or the voters. So what were they to do?

Everybody-- How would YOU feel if you were told your vote wasn't going to count? I would be livid. I would probably be at the DNC meeting raising holy heck.

For some of you loyal Obama supporters, you really need to take a lesson in Politics 101. You HAVE to look at who can carry which states... electoral votes are the ultimate call in November. You can actually win the popular vote and still lose the electoral college vote and the Presidency.

After witnessing the craziness in the TX primary caucuses (yes, we have BOTH a popular vote AND a caucus) I am a firm believer that we (and possibly ALL states) should seriously consider getting rid of the caucus process. In a caucus, it is no longer a secret ballot and people are vulnerable to being bullied and coerced by various supporters. I've been active in the party for some time, and I NEVER saw anything like what went on this Spring by many of the Obama supporters. I actually went home thinking, "Were these people trained by the Karl Rove machine??"

Bottom line, you super delegates need to take a long hard look at which candidate can carry the big electoral college states in November. Without those key states, we're toast.

Fact is: Clinton EXPECTED to win the Nomination Hands Down---and certainly disregarded the Jr Senator from Illinois. Now that she's getting the crap beat out of her, is millions of $$ in debt and has lost all credibility she wants to count Michigan and Florida. And she's blaming Obama when she agreed to the process. HRC...you're a hypocrite.

But Hillary, if you are the stronger candidate, please explain why:

1. You are not the front runner.

2. You are behind in every way, delegates, Super delegates, number of states won etc.

3. You have managed a very bad, and even ugly, campaign, and that you are in debt
up to your little ears.

4. Just because you say you are ahead in some the polls, does not make you the nominee.
There is a process you follow, and since you do not have the desired number of delegates,
you cannot be the nominee.

5. You have tried everything in the book to win, steal and snatch the nomination, and
despite having the advantage at the beginning, in name recognition, and money, you have
lost.

It is time you obliterated your campaign. Enough with the tears and whining.

If you cry long enough, throw tantrums and scream "I losing this race, some give me sympathy" eventually someone begins to feel sorry for you. I don't, She is not a women of her word. I don't want a sore loser in White House, the minute she has PMS she scream at Bill to handle things for while she pops an advil. Hillary you need to take a back seat with all you so called experience and mis-spoken words and watch Obama take it like a man, win or lose. Florida and Michigan I'm sorry for the struggle you ar facing but rules are rules and long before the choice came down to Obama and Hillary no one complained about it then, Super Tuesday made Hillary a desperate women.

Democrats need to show some spine by abiding the rules setforth for this Primary.

The Primary goal of 2025 should be preserved but should seat Florida an Michigan delegates after the following Tuesday. DNC should recognize FL and MI delegation while preserving the Democratic Primary goal at 2025.

Any different outcome that results in moving the goal posts will fallout to be the most scrutinized election. This will not be scrutinized by only Republicans but by other nations whom are especially against democracy. It will look like we Americans cannot comply and deviate from our own rules, while rewriting the rules only to suit our best interests.

Should the magic number be altered then it wont matter who becomes the Democratic Nominee. It will be a shame and the Republicans are going to have a field day on whoever the Democratic Nominee turns out to be.

The dems whined like crazy when they accused the GOP of disenfranchishing Floridians and 'stealing' the election from Al. Now they are cyring because they aren't allowed to to disenfranchise the Floridians. HAHA, what irony and hyprocrisy. And as for this 1/2 of the delegates seated, I thought they always gave 3/5?? Yes, there were rules to follow, but those rules cost Floridians an absolutely worthless vote. Vote for McCain, he's practically a liberal anyway and it will give some balance for the next four years. Otherwise, grab your wallet and get ready to be taken for a big ride. I wonder if Obama's uncle can find a solution?

To Clinton supporters:

I just want to make sure I understand your logic for the popular vote.

Don't count caucuses because the disenfranchise to many voters who had a legitimate chance to come out and voice their opinion.

Count MI and Fl though because is was a valid primary nevermind the 100,000 of voters that where told their votes would not count. And in michigan their candidate was not on the ballot.

Disenfranchise when it benefits me but don't disenfranchise if it does not help me.

I am so confused somebody please help.

"The sources did not want to be identified because the full committee has not yet discussed the problem or ruled on it."

In other words, two people of unknown position think, for whatever partisan reason, that the MI and FL delegations will be seated halfway. Thanks for that informative tidbit.

If you are going to be fair then it should be a 50/50 split. Now what you can say that all the ones that was told their votes wouldn't count is left out of this scenario, so what would that mean. This is crazy to let Hillary take all the credit for a stupid mistake by Ickes and Flournoy. People let's play by the rules or not at all. Remember people have to vote in November so you don't want to make the voters angry. So you change the rules for the whinners but what happens to the one who are not whinning? Make them made and Hillary still don't win and when she comes back in 2012 no one will vote for her forsure.

Look out, Denver! Here THEY come!! Get a ring-side seat!! Yes, at this point, the democratic primary is indeed a CIRCUS!! Be prepared to see Hillary LIVE on the HIGH WIRE!! After all, she has been walking that tight rope for quite some time now!! She's sure to take a BIG FALL in Denver, IF SHE GETS THAT FAR!! It appears when your political career, respect (for others and mostly yourself), your husband, and your millions are ON THE LINE -- you HAVE to present a picture-perfect LOSS!! Why care if you have torn the Democratic Party completely apart. Next time, you can run as a Republican, or an Independent, or "she'll think of something"!!! And most importantly, who cares about your oponent, (who by the way has already WON THE NOMINATION)!! when YOU ARE AN EXTENSION OF YOUR HUSBAND, AND OF COURSE YOURSELF!!

I have written to the DNC as I hope everyone else has done. To not seat the delegates and to not count the votes in Florida and Michigan would be castastropic. What would we ever say to these voters again? It was not their fault their votes didn't count. It was the DNC and the legislatures from those states. So the states broke the rules and voted early. They wanted to make a difference in the campaign. Well, I guess they are now anyway. And don't say rules are rules, or we must punish them. Who are we talking to, kindergarteners? Stop already! Rules were made to be broken, so they broke them. People came out and voted and if the votes were taken today, Hillary would get a larger share in FL anyway. And Obama isn't doing good in MI either. So seat the share that they got and be done with it. If you want to punish anyone, try the Obama camp. We could have had revotes by now, paid for by my governor no less, Gov. Corzine, and this would have all been over by now.

Hillary is the stronger candidate. We all know it. The DNC knows it. The media knows it. But what, we don't want the black man to lose for some reason? Well, if he wins now, he'll lose later anyway. Great job! We can all thank ourselves then. And you better believe the polls that 32% of Hillary's voters will vote for McCain and the rest of us will stay home. That percentage has only gotten higher with each race. And it won't make any difference what Hillary says. We are not voting for a lying, say whatever you want, make up stories, disowning your family, supposedly Christian( not in my book) shady character from the south side of Chicago. Obama tries to keep his hands clean throughout the campaign and his supporters do his dirty work. Grow up Obama and come and see us when you own up to your words and your wife's words. Different politician my b****. The only difference you have is you have NO experience. Keep talking, every week it's something new you have to apologize for. Sounds like verbal abuse to me. And this comes from one of the small town thinking, bitter middle american, "throw your grandmother" under the bus, "typical white woman. Our numbers are growing DNC. Watch for us.

She can't even claim the popular vote (unless you exclude Barack in Michigan and caucus states that don't include vote totals).
