It's funny how some people can say things like 'a little too late' and 'he should have spoken up years ago'...etc...when those that 'spoke up' were later asked to take 'early retirement'...etc...And, who knows, why did McClellan really leave in the first place? Pressured, perhaps? Given this administration's track record, I wouldn't doubt it. Regarding the reports now that the White House feels 'betrayed', I'll end with a quote from a Bruce Willis movie, Striking Distance, that I watched last night: "...loyalty above all else, except honor"...that's mighty right. In the end, McClellan, you still have that - far more than can be said of many still sailing the current administration's boat.

What needs to be said is these are all lies and we can prove it with a face to face debate. He was working for the President and did not have the guts to speak up then but he is now. Instead of attacking McClellan, we should focus on his story. What the Bush administration is trying to do is to descredit McClellan to deviate the attention from what he has to say. The media and the public should be asking the administration whether the claims of the former official are true.

Scott is telling the truth because Scott wants to salvage himself from the moral rubble of the Bush Administration. Did Ari really expect him to turn down the position of White House Press Secretary on the basis of conscience? It didn't stop Ari from taking it, and I wonder why Ari mysteriously decided to leave two months after the Iraq war launched? Sounds like somebody had their own misgivings.

The only difference between Ari and Scott is that Scott couldn't live with the lies and had to come clean so he could sleep at night. It was a brave thing he did, and it was the right thing.

I believe Scott McClellan. His words resonate with reality. Every time I hear a story about a dead or severely wounded vet I feel sick with guilt (for being a part of a country that elected a moron for our President) and hatred (at an intensity that I have never felt before) of an administration that when to war in Iraq unnecessarily, clearly lied in the days preceding the war, and continues to stubbornly stick to a failed course of action with no clear plan for winning the war. This is why I can not tolerate Hill’s lies and why I support Obama. Of the three presidential contenders, only Obama has the integrity to go before the American people and get our support if, at some point in the future, we need to go to war or sustain this war.
