It would be good for Obama to get to know what war is like.
He admitted he doesn't know war.
Going to Iraq would help.
Hillary already did her sniper fire internship while she visited Bosnia as first lady with Chelsea.

I don't know if it is a good idea for both Obama and McCain to go together.
It may be too big a risk for both nominees even to take the same plane, never mind Iraq. Then Hillary will be all smiling and remind us of RFK again.

Some folks are asking why McClellan did not mention his concerns and thoughts during his time as White House Press Rep. Ask yourselves this, would you go before the media and rat out your boss?
I am happy he confiremed what those of us with emotional intelligence knew all along. Obama is alot smarter and tougher than anyone knows. And, you can bet he will play clever politics when he needs to. They all do. He should continue to exploit the republican ignorance and dishonesty when it comes to Iraq. McCain is building his entire campaign on war experience. Well, then he is fair game with this type of revelation that the whole war buildup was a sham. If he were smart, he would bash Cheney, Bush and Rumsfeld. McCain deserves respect for what he endured while defending our country. That should never be taken for granted. But, he is running for president and must be called out for coninuing to follow an ignorant, criminal policy laid down by the most corrupt and inept administration in our history. Obama will be able to continually exploit this as more people like McClellan come forward.

Why does Obama dwell so much on the past? Where is his vision for the country's future? Is his ONLY tactic to criticize the country and his opponent's? I guess this is his best chance, since he really can't articulate what qualities, attributes and record of service he has to offer.

ANYONE could have opposed the war before joining the Senate and responsibilities in the Senate. Heck, Rev. Wright was against the war, perhaps he should be President.

We knew within 24 hours of the ground campaign there were no weapons.

UN knew we didn't have a case.

As a former servicemember ( 1992-2007) with friends in Iraq, htey have echoed the same thought and feelings and facts. You military doesn't want to be there, no matter how much McCain or Bush says that we want to be there.

95% of the American People knew minutes before the invasion that this was Bush's war and that he wanted to finish what his father started! If there is a silver ling to what Scott McClellan you'll have to look at people like Jim Webb and Colin Powell! I'm sure their thoughts and opinion would shed more light onto falsehoods that led to sales pitch for the Iraq war!

Good to Go Scott McClellan ...only if a few more of Bush's cabinet broke ranks!

So McCain's criticism of Obama pretty well eliminates everyone that has been suggested for a possible VP runnung mate. At his age and health, he needs to pick a war vet, and someone old and a political hack as chances are greater for him that this person will need to take over as commander in chisf.

I have a feeling that McCain knows that Obama will be visiting Iraq once it is safe to leave the country with the Clintonites running hysterically around and he is trying to set him up.

McCain is just trying to deflect attention away from his Vet benefits bill which lacks support from many Republicans and from him selling out to Bush so he can raise a little money.

No sane, rational Democrat would vote for McCain.
