Martin endorsed Clinton Thursday.

(CNN) – Puerto Rican pop star Ricky Martin said Thursday that he will shake his bon-bon for Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic nomination.

“Whether fighting for better education, universal health care and social well-being, as First Lady and Senator from New York - representing millions of Latinos –she has always fought for what is most important for our families," Martin said.

Clinton said she was honored to earn the Grammy Award winner’s support.

“He is a very important voice in the Latino community and together we will work to improve the lives of families and children across the country,” Clinton said in a statement.

Puerto Rican voters head to the polls Sunday.

"Most Dems agree this Delegate/Super Delegate strategy is a waste"

Most of the dems agree (NOT) that this Delegate/Super Delegate strategy is a waste.

Let's call it what it is, Hillary didn't win the nominee so now this Delegate/Super Delegate strategy is a waste. It's funny this Delegate/Super Delegate strategy worked to ELECT Bill Clinton as president, TWO TERMS..

She should win in this PR primary, her husband help elect their government officials. The government of Puerto Rico has been in Clinton's back pocket all along.

CB2   May 29th, 2008 4:33 pm ET

Does anyone really care about Ricky Martin and PR for that matter. Come on people. I don't expect PRicans to vote for Obama for this reason alone: if Hillary was running up against a Hispanic candidate, African Americans would probably be rallying behind Hillary because she has done so much for African Americans. Oh people give me a break!!!

Oh well...since they can not vote in the general it doesn't make much sense to even court them. Maybe next time PR. However, go out and vote for Hillary all you want because it really isn't going to matter.

Olivia   May 29th, 2008 4:33 pm ET

Got to admit Obama sometimes seem tired and inexperienced. Having to explain his shortcomings and why he isn't doing certain things that should have been done as a natural sequence to events is probably taking its toll. Not even thinking of visiting the troops in Iraq until critizised by McCain is an example of this.
Hillary, on the other hand is full of energy and on her feet.
She is definately the stronger of the two and the best choice to win the presidency. Wake up superdelegates!

Rob   May 29th, 2008 4:32 pm ET

Interesting. I can't wait for Obama to counter with the equally-coveted Jennifer Lopez endorsement.

Susan/PA   May 29th, 2008 4:31 pm ET

Gabe, the only way Hillary is ahead in the popular vote is if you disenfranchise all the caucus states and not give Obama a single vote in Michigan..............now thats fair right??? NOT................she has lost. fair and square....Why PR counts at all is beyond me...they cant even vote in the GE. So ...tis time for Hillary to "shake her booty" right on out of here. It really takes me by surprise that so many women supporting Hillary never think that their children can use this same senerio against them, just to get what they want. .....what are we teaching our children by supporting all these lies?????

People love HILLARY CLINTON

Apparently you are a Hillary supporters since oyu cannot read
PEOPLE DO NOT LOVE HILLARY!! All you Clintonistas whine about how "mean" everyone is here against hillary, how they do not just blindly accept her lies and call her out on them. Well here is some REAL news for you clintonistas THIS IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY (MOSTLY) SPEAKING HERE ON THIS BLOG! Now since you are clintonistas and will not be able to reason beyond what has been said let me spell it out. Democrates hate the lying, evil candidate... but we pale in comparison to the hate that most republicans feel about anything clinton. Are you so stupid that you forgot the 90s or just old and senile and remember only that things were "better" than (you know forget the bad remember the good). 8 years the republicans attacked bill and let hillary slide, they have had 8 years to prepare their attacks on hillary (and throw in a few for bill) the hate most republicans feel towards hillary would make you wish for the days of Obama and his genteel responses to her if she were to steal this election. She is not electable she would only serve to galvanize those who already hate the clinton brand.. moronic clintonistats

Chi4Obama   May 29th, 2008 4:22 pm ET

Are some Clinton Supporters so detached from reality, that they would go as far as "writing in Hillary" during the General Election??
What purpose would this serve, other than undermining the Democratic party's chances at taking back the White House altogether.

Why not just get get on Rush Limbaugh's payroll, and go to work for "Operation C.H.A.O.S. If we (Democrats) don't unite as a party, we may as well hand over the WhiteHouse to McBush and the Republicans on a silver platter.

RuthieM   May 29th, 2008 4:21 pm ET

Puerto Rico is a reflection of who America wants to lead the country. More people want Hillary to lead this country in Puerto Rico. Its the samme all across America. With Puerto Rico's win for Hillary, this will put her well over the top in the popular vote.

Excuse me Mr. Martin, but you can best believe that while "looking out for Latinos" Hillary was really looking out for herself.

By the way. Are you a Superdelegate. Ummm. No. Oh, then you must vote in the state your registered in and unless that is PR, SD or MT than that one little vote you have is a bit late.

But again, thank you for taking part in this primary season. But this race is a wash for Sen Clinton.

Concerned Democrat   May 29th, 2008 4:15 pm ET

Go Ricky!

Don't forget all the good that Hillary has done for African American communities, too.

Hillary Haters who call themselves Democrats give me a headache.

Obama is nothing new. He just has such a thin resume that all he can do is say "change" over and over again and drive his followers to a rousing climax with empty rhetoric.

So, it turns out that he muscled competitors out of races in Chicago by blocking their names from the ballots? Was that before he went to hear Rev. Wright's sermons on Sundays or after he engaged in shady land deals with Tony Rezko on Tuesdays? At least he found time to show up at the state senate to vote present from time to time. As a U.S. Senator, he's been too busy playing presidential candidate to show up and chair the subcommittee with jurisdiction over NATO and Afghanistan. (Just pointing out the tip of the iceberg of everything that the Republicans are going to throw at him.)

Are we seriously going to try to trade the Decider with the Promiser?

If Obama gets the nomination, he will destroy his political future and be the end of the Democratic Party.

HILLARY CLINTON '08

how can clinton supporters want this fight going to the convention? That would be disastrous and you guys know it. Imagine if the roles were reversed, would you want Obama to do what clinton is planning on doing?
I want you all to think how strong we will be if we all unite as one. The same ideals that we value have no chance of happening with Mccain president. It's time to put our differences aside and come together for a higher purpose. Like Obama says, we have a duty to leave this world a little bit better for the next generation. I have faith that any democrat will push the ideas that we hold sacred, whether it be Clinton or Obama. Since it is abundantly clear to even Gov Rendel and James Carville (the most loyal Clinton supporters out there) that Obama will be the nominee, I think other clinton supporters should take heed and fall in line. Lets do this.

Yes we can!

If Ricky thinks she's the best, she must be! By the way, isn't he sexist?

Robert in Toronto,ON   May 29th, 2008 4:08 pm ET

I'll argue that Gabe in TX:

Hillary Clinton is winning states where she is FAVORED TO WIN. When she scores an upset? Then come talk to me. All that proves is she wins where she's suppose to.

As for the popular vote, the rules are based on the PLEDGED DELEGATES – which Obama has.. Popular vote is icing on the cake. So you can argue about the icing, we'll just keep the cake.

Finally, if you think Ricky Martin going for Hillary Clinton shows the tide turning...then you are grasping for more straws than the Repubs.

Smitty   May 29th, 2008 4:07 pm ET

Hillary you keep saying you are the better candidate to go against McCain then why does Obama have more delegates and super delegates on his side. Even if you got both Florida, Michigan, Puerto Rico you would still lose. The super delagates don't care about you they care who the best candidate would be and that is Obama. Anyone that says bad things about Obama are simply a racist. Obama does not have to cheat, lie and cry to win the nominee. All he has to do is speak, smile and look pretty. Somone ought to just wipe that smurke of a smlle off of Hillary. I can not even stand to hear her speak on TV any more and simply turn to another station until she is done. Tha's right she is done, cooked, and she is a disgrace to the female gender. Give it up Hillary and all you Hillary supporters

Oh, and she and her husband have done a whole bunch for blacks too. It's a shame they'll turn their back on her just because a face looks like theirs. You better look farther and deeper than skin people. She is the better candidate by far.

And gosh, Hillary has a drink in her and every time you see her now – what is this DESPERATION turning her into a drinker .

And Gov Patterson, you were correct the Clintons are DESPERATE. And to you Gov Rendell – so what you wear a flag pin. SO WHAT. I have never seen HillaRY with a flag pin on and just what the hell does it mean NOTHING. I few flags on my car, in my home etc. so what> Then Katrina and I knew this was not the America I was proud of to allow fellow Americans suffer as they did and do nothing!!!! And we have young men and women in Iraq dying for them and do nothing for Americans in America...... And where are all you flag pin wearing folks – why you do not speak out about this war and bring our folks home????? You are all POLITICIANS that is all. Yes, let us go back, count EACH and every voter in the caucaus states and then use the "popular" votes. Even with this CHANGE in rules, to fit Hillary and her supporters, Hillary will not win.

Okay, what about letting the Republicans wage war on both Obama and Hillary. Whoever is less bloodied by the Republicans will get the nomination. Even with this change in the rules to fit Hillary, she will not win.

Please indulge, just one more time: What about if we let Obama and Hillary spend an night in the White House, get someone to place a 3:00am call, and see who gets to the phone FIRST! Even here, I beleive Hillary will be beaten to the phone.

Please just one more Rule change: What if we start this democratic process all over again, scrap every vote, and let the Republicans monitor the voting process?

Hillary Clinton cares for all families. Obama cares for some families. There is a vast difference. Obama cares for Hamas, PLO and terrorist people and maybe the people of Kenya.
Obama supporters need to realize that all people do not worship their god, Obama. We do not think he is honest and presidential. He is just another corrupt politician from Chicago.

Who Cares. Puerto Rico doesn't even receive any electoral votes in the General Election.

But come to think of it, it would make the perfect setting for her to give both her "victory" speech for winning PR; and concession speech (for losing the primary) all in one night. This way, at least she can go out on a high note. Afterwards, she can drown her sorors dancing Reggaeton and Salsa at a back-alley club in "Old San Juan" with Ricky Martin.

Viva La Puerto Rico!

Ariba, Ariba, Ricky Martin. Hillary is the Best Choice. Rep. Sheila Jackson, Ho. TX. as V.P. is also an excellent choice.

It's too bad that the Democratic Party has become so myopic that they cannot see that Obama has no chance in the fall. But he will do what he did in Chicago and use idiotic Democratic Party rules to ensure that a good portion of the electorate is disenfranchised so he can win. I'm jumping party lines for the first time in 30 years and voting Republican in the fall and I urge all Clinton supporters to do the same. Even McCain would be better than Obama.

Oh and she is LOSING in the popular vote– didn't you hear or did she brain wash you too? Obama is winning and the sooner Clinton and her "fans" can grasp that concept the sooner we will be on our way to having an amazing President.

Bill   May 29th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

Thanks RIcky for helping the cause! Sen. Clinton would not only be the most likely to beat John McCain in the fall, but she is also the most likely candidate,to get all of these promises accomplished in her administration. We all are praying for the Democratic Party to stand up ,this week, for what is best for the Party,in November. We have all worked hard to show them what they needed to know, going in to this election, but whether the DNC and super-delegates will stand for what is right or award based on who won the most pledged delegates after the last State votes........that is the Question! The truth of the matter is that neither have won the magic number, yet ,required to be the Nominee, and the DNC and super-delegates are nuts if they do not take in to account how this Primary has gone, after Rev. Wright raised his Racist head. They will be deluding themselves if they do not think the Rev Wright is going to cost them this election.....if Obama gets the Nomination. That would be such a futile waist of energy, time, money, and opportunity....not to mention four more years of Republicans.

All this tells us is he is uneducated and not too bright light 52% of the PR's. The only thing these primaries are doing anymore is telling us which states have the lowest ro highest intelligent people. The lower intelligent voting for Hillary, the higher for Obama. The contest is long over.

Big deal...PR can't even vote in the general election.

How many ways are there to win the nomination? One that know of, and that is by winning the primary season. My god, the Clintons have came up with more excuses than one can shake a stick at to win. Of course, each one leaves out states that Obama won. The bottom line is that the big Clinton machine, the chosen one for the White House, the more experienced Senator who would answer the phone at 3 am, the one with all the experience from being 1st lady, got her butt kicked by a junior Senator. Obama out fund raised her, out campaigned her,and spent his money wiser, while she is millions in debt and had to borrow her campaign money to keep going. How can you want someone as President who underestimates their opponent and then can't even manage her campaign finances. She is ready to lead from day one? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GERALD STROTHER   May 29th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

Hillary Clinton has hinted that she is prepared to take her fight to fully seat Florida and Michigan all the way to the party's convention in late August, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says that's not going to happen and Who is Ricky Martin??? and who cares?can he over come a 200+ lead no!!! over for her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FrankSmith   May 29th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

I am not really sure what Hillary and her active supporters want:

1. Given that Hillary started this process with big advantages: name recognition, more super-delegates, more experience, more electability as the "wife" of a president and the list goes on,

2. Given that she had Bill, Chelsea, and some big names campaigning for her,

3. Large amounts of personal ($109million) and other donations

Yet, given the numbers that she now has: low
-approval ratings
-delegate counts
-super-delegate counts
-popular votes,

Can any reasonable and fair-minded person give Hillary this nomination? This is about integrity and honesty. Is this the way the Democrats plan to win the general election- keep fighting even when the electoral numbers are against you?

Jonathan FL   May 29th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

Coming from a guy who likes men, Ricky you can't even vote in the general election anyways so who cares! Puerto Rico pay taxes, then you will matter.

Get over yourselves.

And get a sense of humor! This isn't exactly hardcore journalism, we all know that.

To the ~illustrious~ Ricky Martin:

I'd love it if you showed up at the Democratic Convention and right after Hillary receives the nomination, break into "Shake Your Bon Bon". Hello, party unity!

ALL THIS DISCUSSION ABOUT PR IS TOTALLY MUTE. WE READ ONE BLOG WERE IT STATED THAT BLACKS SOLD THEMSELVES TO THE WHITE MAN. HOW SAD ARE WE AS SUPPOSELY ONE PEOPLE DO NOT BOTHER TO KNOW THE HISTORY OF MOST RACES AROUND THE WORLD. MORE OR LESS IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. TO DEGENERATE TO THIS LEVEL ONLY PROVES THAT WE DON'T WANT TO TURN THE PAGE OF HISTORY FOR OUR CHILDREN. NOT TO KNOW THE TRIP FROM SLAVERY TO A POSSIBILITY OF BEING THE PRESIDENT OF THIS USA IS NOT ONLY HISTORY BUT GOD WISDOM AND WILL. THANK GOD FOR A COUNTRY THAT WOULD EVEN ALLOW FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN THE FIRST PLACE. FOR ALL HRC, OBAMA AND MCCAIN SUPPORTERS TO ABLE TO BLOG LOW IQ TRASH IS A BLESSING IN THE FIRST PLACE. IN ANY TYPE OF RACE, INCLUDING LIFE, IT IS HOW ONE CONDUCT ONESELF DETERMINES HOW THE MOST IMPORTANT RACE (LIFE) IS GOING TO BE. WE ALL HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE RACE OF LIFE IS EVERY CHANGING, AND NOT TO CHANGE LIFE CEASE TO BE. WE ALL HAVE A CHOICE IN THIS PRIMARY RACE. WE ALL HOPE THAT WE MAKE THE RIGHT
CHOICE. WHETHER WE CHOOSE RIGHT OR WRONG WE STILL HAVE TO LIVE LIFE. SOME THINK THAT ONE OF THESE CANDIDATES WOULD MAKE THEIR LIFE BETTER. ONLY GOD KNOWS AND TIME WILL TELL. OUR JOB IS TO HOPE FOR THE BEST AND PRAY FOR THE REST.

Darren M.   May 29th, 2008 3:51 pm ET

I HOPE HILLARY HAS A TIME MACHINE, BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY SHE'LL BE ABLE TO FIX THE BROKEN CAMPAIGN SHE RAN. IT IS O -V -E -R. PUT YOUR GUN DOWN AND SURRENDER. OR KEEP FIGHTING, AND TAKE ONE TO THE DOME.

“He is a very important voice in the Latino community and together we will work to improve the lives of families and children across the country,” Clinton said in a statement.

What? How is he an important voice? This is getting old.

Pat in Cali   May 29th, 2008 3:48 pm ET

Loca, yeah right.

CNN print an article about the people in Michigan and Florida who DID NOT vote because they were told that their votes would not count.

A re-vote is the only way to be fair to everybody. How would you feel if you were told that your vote would not count and you believed it, but you opponents won the election by changing the rules?

Debra4Obama   May 29th, 2008 3:48 pm ET

who cares?

Natalie   May 29th, 2008 3:47 pm ET

Good for her! However, this is about as significant as Ben Affleck, Usher, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Matt Damon, Scarlette Johansson, etc., supporting Obama. I.e. this is not news. Celebrities are not superdelegates, and their votes don't count anymore than the usual voters such as ourselves on this blog! Now if we combine all this support, and unify the party, then it'll really mean something!!!

Obama/Clinton '08

Clinton and McCain voted to send 4000 Americans to there death!

THE MEDIA LET THE AMERICAN PUBLIC DOWN BEFORE THE INVASION OF IRAQ. NOW THEY ARE LETING US DOWN AGAIN BY NOT FOCUSING ON THE REAL ISSUE HERE!

1.In my opinion Dick Channey is the main culprit here; he pressured the CIA to come up with false and misleading rational to invade this country! Every time the CIA could not verify that Saddam Hussein had WMD’S, he told those involved that information was not good enough. Dick Channey should resign immediately from the Vice Presidency or Congress should start a formal investigation with hearings just like they did in the Water-Gate investigations.

2.The MEDIA has to remember here a crime was committed pure and simple. We have to remember that over 4000 Americans Solders have died unnecessarily in this conflict. Over 30,000 more have had there lives changed for ever with causalities.

3.Further John McCain, Hillary Clinton as well as the other members of Congress should apologize to the American people for there votes to allow this tragedy to happen. Those in Congress can redeem there creditability with formal hearings and pressuring Dick Channey to resign.

4.Those families that have lost loved ones in this war should compensated for the lost of there loved ones. Further, those that have suffered causalities should be receiving compensation also.

5.The MEDIA should have done substantive investigating pre-invasion of Iraq. Checked the information the White House putting out and verified the sources. The Media today has lost its way. Back in the 60’s, 70’s and even in the 80’s the MEDIA did not back down from White House pressure. Now they are easily intimidated by FOX News, Right Wingers and the current administration!

It amazes me when this is all over Clinton will have 20million votes maybe even more than Obama yet the news media and Obama supporters think they can throw her under the bus ,unite the party and win the general election !!!! They are all on crack and they need to face the fact that they will have to embrace Clinton if they want to win this election because it will not happen if they continue slamming her all the time !!!!

Obama give the VP position to Clinton. You talk about change this will be the biggest change the country will have. A half black president and a woman VP. I would vote for that.

Have you ever been to Puerto Rico? Did you know the island was named by mistake? The name should have been San Juan and the large port of entry should have been Puerto Rico, The map makers in that era jumbled up the names and reversed the titles.
I have been to Puerto Rico and believe me, a huge part of the population is on welfare paid for with our tax dollars. Perhaps things have changed since I was there, but at that time, it was not safe for an American to walk the streets!

Anonymous   May 29th, 2008 3:35 pm ET

I am amazed at how outspokenly vicious people are in these blogs. Fact remains, both Clinton and Obama are good choices - the people are telling us all that. Either will do fine, both have issues and both have strengths.

I haven't spent 10 years in the military to relinquish it back to the Republicans, God help them.

Puerto Rico matters – bottom line. The ARE Americans, they deserve a vote in the primaries BECAUSE they can't vote in the General Election as PR isn't a state. Nevertheless, they matter and their voices should be heard.

I wish people could see that logic instead of the blatent hatred some have for bashing the candidates.

God bless America.

Hillary went to visit PR after a big hurricane as first lady in late 1990's.
Now Puerto Ricans think she cared so much about PR so she visited PR after a big hurricane. We the taxpayers paid for her to go to PR to do her job. Puerto Rico should thank us, not Hillary. She will never visit PR with her own money. It's always other people's money she spends for her personal ambition. If Puerto Rico loves her so much, they can make her Queen of the Island.

Sebastian   May 29th, 2008 3:34 pm ET

What, exactly, has Hillary done for Latinos in NYC? She's for all those hard working Americans, white Americans.

No one can, or at least should, cite health care ... both Senators Obama & Clinton have plans for health care and Senator Clinton has already failed once in this task about 16 years ago .... excuse me 1st Lady Clinton failed.

Nor would she make Puerto Rico a state ... which is her latest act of pandering. In her MANY years in the Senate, has she advanced this cause? Where is the evidence that she has "solved" this issue?

The President of the United Stats alone doesn't have that authority and Hillary is too divisive to build the bi-partisan coalition that would be required to get it done.

Puerto Ricans would be wasting their vote on Hillary ...

Ricky who? You mean the one hit English song wonder of "Livin La Vida Loca" fame.

An endorsement by Ricky Martin is just as useless as the results from the Puerto Rico primary. If Hillary win, expect spin and more spin from a territory that doesn't vote in the general election. If Obama wins, this only means he will be the presumptive nominee after the results of the June 3rd primaries. If Obama loses Puerto Rico, Obama will be the presumptive nominee by June 9th.

Frank   May 29th, 2008 3:33 pm ET

GO OBAMA, restore my faith in this nation

****** VIVA LA NUESTRA HILLARY *********** :) :) :)

Jessica, MI   May 29th, 2008 3:27 pm ET

Prediction: Hillary wins PR by 12%. Her campaign dreams up some amazing story about how PR "counts" so much more than other states, especially caucus states. Her supporters continue to lap it up like puppies. Hillary is loca for power and her supporters are loca with delusion...

James, SC   May 29th, 2008 3:27 pm ET

Way to go Ricky. Support your candidate.

Now, let's get behind Obama our Democratic Party nominee!

If not Hillary....then McCain   May 29th, 2008 3:27 pm ET

Gracias! I am sorry the Obama supporters do not have any manners. Your endorsement is appreciated!

David   May 29th, 2008 3:27 pm ET

Someone let Ricky know that it's not gonna happen.

MD   May 29th, 2008 3:27 pm ET

How pathetic that Hillary feels "honored" that Martin "supports" her.

She must be really hard up for "support." She is clinging to straws now. One more wave of super delegates for Obama, and hopefully, we will never have to hear from this divisive, self-centered person ever again.

TESAP   May 29th, 2008 3:26 pm ET

UMMMMMMMM WHO CARES PR DOES NOT VOTE IN NOVEMBER SO WHY DO THEY HAVE PRIMARIES ANYWAY????

Obama for Change   May 29th, 2008 3:26 pm ET

wowow, Obama certainly needs to drop out after this valuable endorsement to Billary!!!

Gwen NC   May 29th, 2008 3:25 pm ET

some women just don't understand what it means to move to the top and work hard, every women should appreciate what she's doing the ones who don't are being made to look at themselves and the ones who don't like her or appreciate here are afraid they'll be expected to work that hard and they don't know how or don't want to. Real women appreciate what she's doing, real women aren't afraid of what she's doing

Lisa from VA   May 29th, 2008 3:25 pm ET

I knew there was a reason I didn't like Ricky Martin....just couldn't put my finger on it till now.

RickytheGriff   May 29th, 2008 3:25 pm ET

Ricky Martin? Wow, now THAT'S star power! Who's next to support Clinton, Lief Garrett?

Kyle   May 29th, 2008 3:25 pm ET

Wow!!! That's a big deal! Who cares! Democrats, come together and let's do what is best for the Democratic party! We all need to ask McCain, what his definition of success that will cause him to end the war on Iraq. Please some CNN coorespondent raise this question. The public would like to know. McCain doesn't even think our heros, who are protecting and dying for us in a war that was waged under false pretenses, deserve extra benefits. Benefits such as more college funding, better healthcare for vet ect... Wow, Mr war hero, that is very patriotic!

aware   May 29th, 2008 3:24 pm ET

Go Hillary! :)

Too bad the sick far left establishment has anointed the arrogant, inexperienced, obfuscating, power hungry biracial guy.

Run as an Independent Hillary.

The far left has destroyed the Democrats just as the far right destroyed the Republicans. Both parties need a time out!

Obama with Axelrod for a brain = Bush 3 who had Rove for a brain. The destructive far left is just as bad as the destructive far right! This is not change!

Don't vote for Obama if you want change!

Barbara for Hillary   May 29th, 2008 3:24 pm ET

Latinos and especially Latinas, wake up. If you do not support Hillary, do you believe America will ever believe and support you. Take some pride in your gender. Ricky is smart enough to know that Hillary Clinton has been around helping Latinos across the U.S. Where was Obama? All of a sudden, the skies open and he appears and he talks a great game, but action, proven visible action is louder than all the rhetoric. I am proud to support this lady because she is fighting for us and y que viva la vida con Hillary porque la vida ya esta LOCA CON BUSH!!!

GET REAL!   May 29th, 2008 3:24 pm ET

Really!?!?! Is this news?!? Ricky Martin=an important voice in the Latino community??? – HAHAHA – I can't wait to hear who Marc Anthony & J-Lo endorse – I say this b/c according to the comparison of R. Martin as an important vioce in the Latino community – M. Anthony & J-Lo are comparable to the "Edwardses". LOL!!!! This is ridiculous! HAHAHAHA!!! While Obama rolls out super delagates, Billary rolls out popstars! She'll be courting Brittney Spears' endorsement next to try and get the young vote – just be careful, we all know how it went bad for you in Hollywood with Peter Paul – way to go RHC!

Mimi De La Cruz for OBAMA   May 29th, 2008 3:24 pm ET

You taught us NEVER GIVE UP no matter how the odds stack up against you.

TAKE IT TO THE CONVENTION!!!!

WE LOVE YOU

steveda - poconos   May 29th, 2008 3:22 pm ET

Ricky Martin is an important voice? Since when?

Oh I forgot anyone who supports her is important, everyone elses is irrelevant. The states Obama won in the primaries and caucuses are unimportant because they may vote Republican in the fall, but Puerto Rico is some kind of watershed even though they don't vote at all for the president. But then she expects to win there handily, so of course it is important.

In fact, because she is ahead there it is even mor eimportant than those trivial caucus states – which she lost – because they are not democratic.

But of course, pledged delegates for Obama can ignore the voters and vote for her – because that is somehow democratic to her ...

She is losing to Obama because he is outsepnding her 3 or 4 to 1. How can she compete?? Of course, he raised $240MM and she raised $200MM – only a 20% difference. So why is he outspending her so? And why does he have more cash on hand than her? And why is his campaign not in debt? COuld it be he is a better executive and can run his campaign more efficiently? Hillary would never admit that.

And Hillary supporters – when Obama is nominated, and make no mistake that he will be the nominee because he won the primaries fair and square – don't be stupid and vote for McCain like so many of you threaten to do. McCain will continue the war, and continue the tax cuts for the rich, so the cost of the war will be paid for in taxes and blood by you and your children and your grandchildren. Keep in mind exactly whoyou will answer to for being stupid – not me – explain to your children why you willed the taxes and bloodshed on them to show support for Hillary Clinton.

I AM A LIFELONG DEMOCRAT BUT I WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN + $10 GAS + 100 MORE YEARS IN IRAQ + NO HEALTHCARE + OVERTURNING OF ROE VS WADE EVEN THOUGH OBAMA AND HILLARY'S POLICY'S ARE NEAR IDENTICAL….

BECAUSE…

BECAUSE…

BECAUSE…???

OBAMA SUPPORTERS ARE MEAN!

I DONT CARE THAT HILLARY LIES. I DONT CARE THAT SHE SLUNG MUD, PLAYED THE RACE AND GENDER CARD. I DONT CARE THAT SHE RAN HER CAMPAIGN INTO $20 MILLION DEBT. I DONT CARE THAT HILLARY TRAILS IN ALL POLLS YET CLAIMS TO LEAD. I DONT CARE FL AND MI BROKE PARTY RULES. I DONT CARE ABOUT THOSE WHO DIDNT VOTE IN FL AND MI. I DONT CARE TAHT HILLARY INITIALLY AGREED TO FL AND MI DISQUALIFICATIONS. I DONT CARE ABOUT THE CAUCUS STATE VOTERS. I DONT CARE ABOUT THE DAMAGE TO THE PARTY'S UNITY. IF HILLARY IS NOT NOMINATED I WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN….

….BECAUSE OBAMA SUPPORTERS ARE MEAN!

THAT'LL TEACH YOU!

Ricky Martin...OMG...I didn't realized he still performed.

Linda iowa   May 29th, 2008 3:21 pm ET

Wow the first 3 comments are meanspirited, imagine that! Obama sure brings out the best in his followers. I have never seen such disrespect and intolerance, this is not the sort of unification that I seek. Myself being from a caucus state will begin lobbying for a primary that really represents the people, not just the activists and the ones who shout the loudest.

lol   May 29th, 2008 3:21 pm ET

keep going hillary, take it to the convention. you have the popular vote lead, you will win the popular vote. it is a joke that the dnc is pushing obama down our throats. every time you win a primary by double digits, this late in the primary season it shows how unelectable obama is. run independent hillary. take your 17 million plus votes with you, you'll pick up independents, and some republicans and you will be the next president. leave that sham they call the democratic party.

I am so tired of all you Obama lemmings blindly following this guy without ever vetting him or making him take a solid stand on anything. If he is the nominee, he will NOT get my vote in November... too many questions about his background, and he's just a nice looking guy in a nice suit as best as I can tell.

I am totally disappointed in all the childish juvenile comments so many of the Obama supporters constantly post. You all need to grow up.

BUSH WANTED TO SAVE US FROM THOSE MUSLIMS WHO SOME OF THEM THEIR ONLY RELIGION IS BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD THE PRESIDENT WANTED TO CORRECT 1000 YEARS OF WORLD FAILURS JUST THE WORLD IS STILL NOT READY FOR IT ,WHAT MOST AMERICANS WANT IS TO SIT WITH A ICE CREAM ON THE BEACHES READING BOOKS EXPLAINING HOW A BAD WORLD IT IS IN ASIA AND AFRICA ETC. AND DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT ,ONLY ONCE IN A FEW HUNDERD YEARS WE ARE BLESSED WITH SUCH A HIGH QUALITY LEADER LIKE PRESIDENT BUSH, BUT I GUESS IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIX THE WORLD ,BUT I AM AFRAID THAT SOONER OR LATER THIS CANCER WILL SPREAD TO A PART OF OUR CITIZENS STARTING FIRST TO LEARN ABOUT JIHAD AND THEN ACT ACCOURDINGLY G O D SAVE US AND BLESS THE USA AND PRESIDENT BUSH

jfs Memhis, Tn   May 29th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

Oh great ... that will put her over the top. What is it that these voters do not understand?? SHE IS NOT GOING TO WIN. I guess since PR really doesn't count it is okay to waste your votes.......seems Hillary has encouraged wasted votes that won't count all over the place... even FLA and Mich. Her rally's are becoming like the old showings of the ROCKY HORROR SHOW. People are almost cult like ????

I love it! More proof that Hillary is not only still in this race but gaining ground by the second! Obama supporters are running out of excuses to explain away how well she continues to do with the popular vote in our country and territories. Here's an idea. Most Dems agree this Delegate/Super Delegate strategy is a waste. Why not go with something easier and much less complicated? Let's just use the total popular vote as the measuring stick for who should be the Democratic Nominee. That way it is the people and ONLY THE PEOPLE who decide their representation. Argue that Obamanatics!

It only goes to show you that big name stars like Ricky Martin are not able to intelligently select the best and winning candidate. But I do say to him to go ahead and shake his bon-bon for Hillary because it's going to be her "Fair Well Party" for the losing candidate. Obama now only needs 45 delegates and/or superdelgates to clinch the nomination. Party on Ricky and Hillary.
