The news is reporting that all those who have said they would not vote for Obama will do so in November when the DNC comes together.

I BEG TO DIFFER WITH YOU!
I will be casting my vote for "NONE OF THE ABOVE"!

These elections need to be decided by popular vote. I am sick of the electoral, pledge delegates, superdelegates and caucuses deciding the elections. These are antiquated systems best suited for a time and country without communication. In this day of high tech instant communication, we need to listen to the will of the people.

Hillary is crazy and I would not vote for her even if she wins the nomination. She is not even a women of her word - now she is going all the way. How can anyone trust anything she says; I don't. She scares me more than McCain. At least we know where he is coming from!

I find it interesting that the anger the voters have over Florida and Michigan being penalized for breaking the rules is not being directed towards the real culprits of this mess. The Govenors of Florida and Michigan signed the law moving the primaries up and breaking the rules of the Democratic Party. They and they alone are to blame! They gambled with the their constituents votes, without even going to the voters to see if it would be ok to make the change. Why more has not been made of this is hard to understand. If the voters of Florida and Michigan are upset, and feel disenfranchised the correct place to take up their concerns is at the govenors mansion.

The DNC leadership is what is ruining and dividing the party!!! Both Pelosi and Reid should shut up and sit down. They should be screaming from the rafters how 2 people ... a man of mixed race (please remember Barack is 1/2 black and 1/2 white and should be as proud to be one as the other) and a woman ... have lit a fire under the party!

They have increased the party number. They have excited their followers. Thye have brought new optimism to this country and to the world that anyone can do anything, whether you are white, black, man, woman! We should be proud of it!

The DNC needs to open their eyes and stop looking at the smaller picture and look at what this does for the spirit of the country!

There will be no unity for Dems if the fatally flawed, arrogant Obama is the nominee!

It will be the Independent's time to gain momentum for 2012!

Hillary Clinton is the best choice for 2008 but McCain will do. :)

Sherree and others, We understand they BROKE the rules and Clinton who made this an issue late in the primaries signed away their right for their vote to count.

Those two states need to protest against their State representees or who every the person(s) who agreed by excepting this to be the outcome. DNC Leader or Obama was not the people that told them to agree to this rule, those are the people you should be angry about and hold them accountable for their actions.

Marc has it correct.

I love the clips they are playing over and over again from last fall with Hillary saying "It's clear that these primaries are not going to count". She raised no huge objection then.

Why? Well of course she didn't think she was going to need them. A truly principled candidate would have been on the record pushing for resolution so as not to disenfranchise the voters in these key states. Had she done that, she could now be referring back to those statements in an "I told you so" type of voice.

But, as per typical Hillary, she is now just using them for political means. Why do people trust this woman?

Hillary really doesn't care what the DNC says, her mind is made up to create as much chaos as possible. If she could put down the bottle for once and actually have a clear thought - she would know that if she steals this nomination.....WHO IS GOING TO VOTE FOR HER???? The so called Clinton Legacy is done....stick a fork in it and call it a day. Maybe you can go to some island far, far away and be the local dog catcher!!! P.S. Take Bill with you!!!

They are just an example of how Clinton divided the part., I guarantee that if she would not have use these voter votes to try and take the nominee position, these voters would have thought second about their votes counting. Like I said they knew the rules and most didn't vote, they stayed home. But the ones who knew they was braking the rules, she played on their support.

These pastor must be an under cover Clinton or McCain supporter, just as I believe Pastor Wright was, envy of Obama success. We ALL have had preachers that want that 15 mins. of fame. Pastors who set out to destroy, you reap what you sew. We the voters are on to the both of you, and your tricks will no progress.

God will judge you in due time. Just as McCain stated just because these pastors feel this way, that in no way is a reflection of how he feels. I know without a doubt Obama is a kind man and will treat everyone with respect.

It's Still Obama 08

I have NEVER seen anyone that wanted to win as bad as Hillary, and the other amazing thing is, how she MAKES her supporters believe that Sen Obama was the one that started the race card. I watch the news EVERY night and I heard her say first that her supporters were WHITE, HARDWORKING, and UNEDUCATED, but I guess after saying those 3 things about the people who support you now I see why they believe anything she saids if they are uneducated then they don't know anybetter and she's playing on there ignorance, now thats really sad.

Count all the votes or lose in the general!

Obama is one scary dude! Scott's book sounds like Axelrod, and Obama has paid big time for it and will continue to pay but not in the way he he would like.

The arrogant Obama will never be president. He has major character flaws. If he had any discernment at all he would have left Trinity long ago. Of course, Michelle wouldn't let him. Did you note the congregational applause/agreement/glee in the latest pastor "white supremacy" rant? :(

To John in PA:

Who said:
"Thomas Jefferson talked about a majority of one being all that matters. After all the votes are counted, including Florida (both were on the ballot), and excluding Michigan (yes Hillary supporters, that was a truly flawed primary), Hillary will have won a majority of votes. However, she will not be awarded the nomination (again - sorry Hillary supporters, it's true). Thus, the will of the people (are you listening Nancy Pelosi, possibly the worst Speaker of the House in our history?) will be overturned due to convuluted delegate allocation rules. Get that Obamabots - the will of the people will be overruled. Enjoy it now, in November it all ends."

A. Thomas Jefferson's protege James Madison wrote the Constitution and gave the power to elect a president to the Electoral College! So even he was not for a straight popular vote!
B. Excluding Michigan Obama leads in the Popular vote by 273,877.

Please get your facts straight!

Maybe now All of the States will play by the rules. Funny thing The Clintons knew those states would NOT be counted back in Jan. and she was OK with that. But when she realized she CAN NOT WIN, then she all of a sudden became concerned about Florida and Michigan's voters. Lies Lies and cheat. Enough of the Clinton's.
Go home and get out of this race. She doesn't even deserve the VP position. She would probably hire someone to take out Obama so she can be the President. I don't trust any of the Clintons.
20 Million is debit tells you how much the voters want her.

To Obama supporters:

You are just as divisive as Hillary's backers and you seem to enjoy it.

Keep this up people and millions of Hillary voters with either stay home or vote for McCain in November.

We cannot forget the people who stayed home because FL and MI primaries are not valid.

If we seat everybody as is, it is a slap for the law abiding citizens (most of the times crooks get away it seems).

Also we are telling the world we don't paly by rules. It will do more harm in general elections that the disfranchaised voters who knew it is not valid but still went ahead and voted.

It is however not DNC and candidates problem. It the state government and their elected officers who broke the rules.

may be Karl Rove behind this

America 's children will study the history of this period (2008 Election)and be ashamed I hope! So many people cannot see any point of view other than their own. That is why there are rules.
Hillary knew what the rules were going into the race. It was only when she found herself behind that she took to the streets to convince everyone that the rules don't respect the will of the people. For those of you who buy her argument, why didn't you express your concern before she fell behind. What you are doing now is changing the rules in the middle of the game. And you are attacking Obama because you can't legitimately do that, without revealing something much nastier about our Country. Clinton is the person who has acted as the spoiler. She is the person about whom you should be expressing outrage.

GB - what does that stand for anyway? gas bag? In any event, Barack Obama, as the nominee, will want FL and MI seated. However, this still means that they should be seated fairly in accordance with DNC rules. Even if the DNC seated only 50%, the maximum according to the rules, that is 50% more than HRC agreed to before her inevitability evaporated in Iowa.

Some of you over in cult Clinton may wonder, hey, how did we get here. The answer is simple - the empress has no clothes. HRC may be plenty smart and know everything about all the issues - but that does not a good politician or president make. After all, Jimmy Carter has a PhD in nuclear physics. The point is that this was an organizational debacle from the start. Considering the state of her campaign, it's probably best that we'll never have the opportunity to see how she would run the white house. It should be telling when a candidate running on a fiscal platform of pay-go has a campaign $20,000,000 in debt.

Over-confident, arrogant, contempt for her opponents, no capacity to see beyond herself. I would never expect such behavior from a democrat - a former nixon/goldwater supporter, perhaps.

i actually like the delegate allocation... it more closely reflects every vote that was cast. take a look at my scenario, and mistake me if i'm wrong (because unlike clinton, i can admit if i'm wrong): if a town of 1,000 people vote: 340 for obama and 660 for clinton....... i expect obama to get 34% of the delegates from that state while clinton gets 66% of the available delegates. why would clinton get 100% of the delegates in that state if 34% of the people did not vote for her? how does this not make sense? these are the rules of our primaries and i think it's great. republicans as well as the general election do the winner-take-all... but that isn't reflective of the will of the people... think gore in 2000. if they didn't have winner-take-all gore would have won. anyways, clinton's arguement "if we had done it like the repubs like winner-take-all, i would be winning"---thats BS because we're NOT repubs and if she doesn't like it, she can leave and take all her undemocratic army.

David,

In the other articxle I could have sworn you said 20 million Clinton supporters. Has the number change somehow??? Look, like it or not, he probably will be tyhe first man of color in our White House. And it's about time we have a president who's intelligent and represents another side of American. One that goes back even before the settlement of Jamestown. Yes, I'm talking about people of color being present in America. He'll be your president. Get over it!

I am 65 have voted for only two Republicans, Jim Thompson's first term and Reagan's first term.
I will not be voting for Obama, nor McCain.
Simply put, Republicans support the troops with their mouths, but when it comes to support the troops with money, proper health care, and life saving equipment, the Republicans find ways to justify not to.
As for Obama, of all the Democratic candidates except for the former Senator from Alaska, Obama is the least qualified and prepared to be President. Just as Carter's and Bush's Presidency's ended in disaster, so will Obama's.
I refuse to blindly vote Democratic in 2008, I am going to wait for 2012,
when hopefully we will nominate a competent Democratic candidate.

You mean to tell me if the shoe were on the other foot, she (Hillary) will accept getting the percentage of delegates in MI who voted noncommited??? If she were ahead, she would be fighting for the votes to be counted??? Or would she be saying Mr. Obama, look here, "you agreed to the rules way back in Jan about Florida and MI moving up therir primaries. Why can't you stick to the rules now??? Sir, why are you whinning?? It's OVER!!!" I would have to agree with this. Even though I am an Obama supporter, if he were in her shoes, I would have to say ok, we lost.
The Democratic Primary looks fair from my perspective. The correct Candidate was selected. Forget about fair elections where people cast votes, this is what has always been the case. The people in power need to make the selection; only they know what is needs to lead into the future. The Dictatorship of the prolitariat needs to decide so why count Florida only the caucus states need to be counted. Letting the people decide is an Obomanation!. I loved Mcgovern and the rest of those fantastic candidates they have selected (not elected). Well, I have to get back to my own rigged election. Comrades and party members, I vote for McCain, after 36 years of voting democratic I say I vote for change, and BTW, Yes I can, what a load of crappola!

Why not try this as a compromise? Each state gets 50% of their delegates just like the Republicans gave them – that ends that argument (Republicans care about the voters more than Democratics).

This gives Michigan 79. Clinton gets her 55% and concedes that Obama would have won the uncommitted amount 40%. He may have got more due to the black vote but there needs to be a line.
Clinton receives 44 delegates
Obama receives 32 delegates
3 uncommitted delegates or give her 2 more and 1 more to him

Florida now gets 106. They split Edwards 14% in half, Clinton gets 57%, Obama get 40%.
Clinton receives 61 delegates
Obama receives 42 delegates
3 uncommitted delegates or give her 2 more and 1 more to him

Net Gain = 31 delegates
Clinton wins 12 in Michigan and 19 in Florida

Win/Win Compromise:
1)	Michigan and Florida get counted the same way the Republicans counted them.
2)	A penalty in still imposed on the two states for changing dates.

I happen to have a ticket to one of those 500 seats in the meeting. I hope the rules are upheld. Doing the right thing is not always an easy thing to do. What if in the superbowl, the New England Patriots called time out, demanded a meeting with NFL officials, saying that they had more fans in the stand and that the endzone should be where the 10 yardline currently is? Please. No one would get behind it. We should not get behind it here. There is no guarantee a state will vote in a primary should there be a nominee early on. This is not the general election; it is a primary. Obama is winning in popular vote, pledged delegates, number of states won, and superdelegates. And let me add that he is ahead in integrity, the way he has conducted his campaign, and judgment. Hillary Clinton lost as the result of her own failures; not sexism. I guess sexism is the reason her campaign in $20 million in the hole?

The really sad part for FL and MI democrats is that the dates were moved by Republican controlled legislatures. The decisions were appealed to conservative state supreme courts and upheld. Both states were given 30 days to reverse the date changes, but the states stood firm.

....And the FL and MI democrats lost 100% of their delegates while the GOP lost only 50% of theirs.

To all of the blind HRC supporters from Florida and Michigan, that think they are being disenfranchised:
*****************************************************************
FACT: Your states broke the rules set forth by the DNC. As a result, it was deemed that your delegates would not be seated at the Democratic Convention.

FACT: BOTH candidates agreed to abide by these rules set forth at the begininning of the Primary process.

FACT: Barack Obama is on the verge of securing the Democratic nomination under the rules set forth by the DNC. Choosing a Democratic nominee, is not necessarily just about the "popular vote". It's about securing the most delegates (Pledged & Super).

FACT: Your voices will be heard in the "General Election". It is your constitutional right.
********************************************************************
OPINION: If we (Democrats) don't find a way to reconcile our differences soon, it doesn't matter who our nominee is. Our party is on the verge of being so divided, John McCain will have a cakewalk to the White House in November. Please keep this in mind when you are bashing each other with insults. Let us unite as one party.

I just hope that if their votes are not counted, Democrats in FL and MI do not go to vote, or vote for McCain. It was the party that broke the rules, not the people that showed up in record numbers to vote. Their votes should be counted.

By the way, Obama said many times (including once at a debate recently) that for him Gore won in 2000. If he thinks Gore won because he had more popular votes, why now Hillary can't get the nomination if at the end she has more popular votes? DOUBLE STANDARDS...

It is amazing , how so many Americans can follow a Lie like that.
People who are asking to count MI and FL / Do you think what Hillary did was right? Agreed to follow the DNC Rules and sneaked into MI and FL cheating her running mates to get some extra votes - because she already knew she was not going to win straight.
Let me tell you this.. If Barack was a white guy and Hillary a black female... we would have ended this race months ago.
Do the right thing people, you want a cheating , lying, faking female - For what?? To get lied again for the next 4 years ??
I think no matter what dirty tricks she plays with CNN's support - Obama will win the nomination. I see him now as the " CINDERELLA MAN " ... Dont steal this from him.
OBAMA (2008 - 16)

You want the rest of the world to follow the USA and the way they conduct elections, but your screwing it up.
Conservative Gov. in Canada used the Repub's style and won. Look at the mess they got themselves into now thinking they can follow Bushy"s style.
You guys effect how elections are carried out around the world and thats bad example. Give your head a shake and start being the leaders that you want to be. RULE OF LAW!!!!!!!!

I think no matter what they do the DNC is screwed. Clinton's next step will probably be to take it to court and further divide the party.

To be fair to the people that didn't vote because they knew it wouldn't count, I think they should divide it 50/50 and give them only 1/2 a vote. Popular votes should not be counted at alll as the results are skewed.

Obamabots - I am not trying to make the case for Hillary to be given the nomination based on popular vote. What I am trying to impress upon the 'bots is that more people will have voted for Hillary than Obama - TRANSLATION - continue to alienate the Hillary supporters, and they (the majority of Dem voters) will aliente Obama in November. Enjoy your time in the sun now, it ends in Nov.
