McClellan hints at supporting Obama

Could McClellan be supporting Obama.

Could McClellan be supporting Obama.

(CNN) - Could Scott McClellan be an unlikely supporter of Barack Obama?

In several interviews with media organizations Thursday night, the former White House press secretary hinted that he was strongly leaning toward the Illinois senator's White House bid over his own party’s presumptive nominee.

McClellan, a former White House official who has angered several Republicans this week for his scathing critique of the Bush Administration, said he hasn't made an official decision on which candidate he will back, but offered that he is "intrigued by Sen. Obama's message."

"It's a message that is very similar to the one that Gov. Bush ran on in 2000," McClellan told CBS News.

The former White House press secretary struck a similar tone in an interview with USA Today, saying that he is attracted to both party's likely nominees.

"I have a lot of respect and admiration for Sen. McCain," he said. "I'm also intrigued by Sen. Obama."

McClellan, who played a key role in the president's 2000 campaign, isn't the first member of Bush's inner circle to express support for Obama. In 2007, former Bush strategist Matt Dowd also said he had become disillusioned with the president and said Obama was the only candidate that appealed to him.

Really, who cares who this guy might vote for? He's a loser who should've resigned from his position when he knew faulty things were going down. What an American!

I have always said that 9/11, Irak combined with Afganistan is a conspirancy ofset up by the most powerfull people in the world where the Bush Sr, Cheny and the Bin Ladens are part of.

The painful truth which the majority of us still doesn't believe.

But here again the pieces of the puzzle are coming together and way,way more to come.

Scary but the truth will come out!

  3. Loyalty to the right cause

Loyalty is an important concept and should be honored.

When loyality breeds obstruction and injustice, change of recipients of loyality should take place. Bush or the country? The latter, of course.

    Scott is courageous.
He reflected, suffered, and made a decision to let people know that he is loyal to the U.S.

Let us hope that more people in this shabby administration find the courage to step forward and stop the lies.

Scott long for TRUTH in government, and under GWB that was never to be. It's amazing how many refuse to see the TRUTH. He was loyal before to the lies and propaganda CHANEY and BUSH. But now he cannot swallow it anymore and only those that still subscribe to the lies still cannot see it. The same BLIND people who voted for the worst president ever in the history of mankind and now is looking to replace him with his twin. McSane..

This is a discombobulated young man, he wrote this book without, in many instances, first hand direct knowledge of many of the conversations and meetings. Its just a bunch of heresay with some very serious accusations that he has no direct knowledge of.

Its obvious he is hurt and mad at his dismissal from his job as press secretary, however he was afforded the opportunity to resign.
I sincerely hope he is not summoned to appear before the congress as Rep Wexler from FL has suggested as he could end up with major problems and expense that he never, in his wildest dreams, could have anticipated. OH THE THINGS SOME WILL DO FOR MONEY.

an UNLIKELY supporter? I had this guy pegged for an Obama supporter since the first report came out! I mean the guy works for Bush and waits several years to speak out against him and the Iraq war! Then he decides to come out with this "bombshell" during a crucial point in the election process...where Hillary is just about done and Obama is fighting to garner the support of the disenfranchesized dems as McCain continues to gain momentum nationally among independents and (slowly) conservatives. Unlikely, my eye.
