McClellan hints at supporting Obama

Could McClellan be supporting Obama.
Could McClellan be supporting Obama.

(CNN) – Could Scott McClellan be an unlikely supporter of Barack Obama?

In several interviews with media organizations Thursday night, the former White House press secretary hinted that he was strongly leaning toward the Illinois senator's White House bid over his own party’s presumptive nominee.

McClellan, a former White House official who has angered several Republicans this week for his scathing critique of the Bush Administration, said he hasn't made an official decision on which candidate he will back, but offered that he is "intrigued by Sen. Obama's message."

"It's a message that is very similar to the one that Gov. Bush ran on in 2000," McClellan told CBS News.

The former White House press secretary struck a similar tone in an interview with USA Today, saying that he is attracted to both party's likely nominees.

"I have a lot of respect and admiration for Sen. McCain," he said. "I'm also intrigued by Sen. Obama."

McClellan, who played a key role in the president's 2000 campaign, isn't the first member of Bush's inner circle to express support for Obama. In 2007, former Bush strategist Matt Dowd also said he had become disillusioned with the president and said Obama was the only candidate that appealed to him.

Are we really supposed to care about one moron's opinion of a second moron's message after the last moron whose message the first moron liked so much and only now, in retrospect a few years later, realizes that he shouldn't have liked at all?

Mr. McClellan, you're a moron, a disloyal moron.

    Thanks for nothing.

We don't care what you think.

    HA! HA! HA!

This is getting better by the minute. Bush's groonies are starting to show the world the TRUE COLORS of our modern day dictator in the White House!!

Next thing we'll hear is that Karl Rowe is truly working for the Clinton Campaign.

Jesus....everyone bashes this guy and you have to wonder WHY? I mean NO ONE is refuting his statements as being inaccurate. Funny that huh? AND everyone from the White House mimicks the same "words" over and over "we're puzzled, he's disgruntle, this is not the Scott I knew".. LOL. These are people who knew him for 20+ years!! Gee, there's nothing like egg on your face President Bush to start some serious thrashing and bashing. So predictable and obvious that what Scott has written holds a lot of truth to it, otherwise the White House wouldn't be sending their "attack" rehearsed dogs out.

    Bottom line.

I AM PROUD OF YOU FOR WRITING THE BOOK. THE BOOK IS ABOUT YOUR VALUES, YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR LIFE IN THE WHITEHOUSE, YOUR CONVICTIONS, YOUR VALUE OF THE TRUTH.
IGNORE THE CHEERLEADERS WHO ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO LET GO OF THEIR MISPLACED LOYALTY TO THIS UNPOPULAR "LEADER"????–OR WAS HE JUST A RUMSFELD/CHANEY FOLLOWER?
YOU DID THE RIGHT THING. THE MORE ARI AND DAN TALK, THE MORE FOOLISH THEY SOUND.
VOTE FOR WHOMEVER YOU FEEL RIGHT ABOUT SUPPORTING. I WISH IT WERE HILLARY YOU WOULD SUPPORT, BUT THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY-–ANOTHER REASON TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT WRITING THE BOOK. YOU ARE A FREE AND HONORABLE MAN. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HANG ONTO SOMEONE ELSES COAT TAILS TO FEEL IMPORTANT.

Now that may be an endorsement he DOESN'T want. Maybe Hillary will take him...or maybe not. He might be telling the truth and she and Bill can't abide by that.

Wow!! That is a big endorsement. (chuckle). That's OK because it will be "MCCAIN ELECTED PRESIDENT' in November and rightly so. I am one registered democrat that will happily cross over if Clinton does not win.

WE WOULD LIKE TO MENTION ONE THING. MR. GREGEN MADE A NOTE LAST NIGHT ABOUT LOYALITY OVER TRUTH. NOW WE KNOW
WHAT THE MINDSET OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS ALL ABOUT.
THEIR ETHICS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TRUTH. OUR COUNTRY HAVE SUFFERED MANY DEATHS IN A WAR THAT SEEMS TO BE ALL ABOUT EGOS.

Scott just work for maybe the worst administrations in history. I believe he knows America deserves better, and Barack Obama is the one who can truly change the current Washington culture. What has been accomplished in the 7 1/2 of the Bush regime, besides war, lies, and secrets from the American people. Obama promises a more transparent goverment one that will listen to the people, not just his friends, but his foes as well.

  15. Hillary 08, the electable candidate

Isn't it funny that this got all the headlines on CNN yesterday. This guy wrote a tell all book on everything we already knew.

CNN. You so funny... You shut down comments on Obama's preacher problem in record time.

A black guy on FOX asked the best question about Obama: Will the American people elect a racist as President.

I hope not all black churches are preaching hate against whites like Trinity.

Hillary does not think she entiled to be president because she is white. She is entiled because she is the best candidate.

Your vote for Obama will guarantee my vote for McCain in the fall.

McClellan knows how the republicans got our country in bad shape, he chosen the right person to run the country and that is Obama,
I wondering what McCain and Hillary think about this I bet you would see alot of more republicans going for Obama

Sure why not support Barack, become his press secretary and write another book. You could keep it full of the same lies and just change the cover.

Oh right. And this man is supposed to be an excellent role model? I think he may have had too much kool-aid recently. It is really disappointing that Obama supporters are so smitten and brainwashed by his speeches that he possibly will win the nomination based on his deceptiveness, divisiveness, and lies. He is keeping secrets from us people. Wake up. Hillary Clinton should be our nominee. We have seen the good she has done for our country and could do more if she was granted the nomination for the presidency. She is the stronger candidate to run against John McCain. We still don't know all about Senator Obama and his secrets. WAKE UP AGAIN PEOPLE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. Liar, Liar pants on fire

Obama has the leadership to bring us together. So many people who supported Clinton (superdelegates) and are Republicans are changing their support to Obama. You should ask yourself, "Why aren't these people supporting Hillary?" Because she doesn't have what it takes to bring people together who don't generally agree on issues. REmember, in her own words...she is a fighter.

  21. Army Veteran Against McCain

Reasons why Veterans, active duty personell, and anyone who cares about them should not vote for McCain:

*AWOL for May 22nd vote on GI Bill. Expressed opposition to bill saying "it was too generous to Veterans".

*Voted against Bill in September that would have mandated adequate rest for troops between combat deployments.

*Voted No on $1.5-billion increase for Veteran Medical services (money would have come from closing corporate tax loophole).

*Voted No on establishing a trust fund to bolster underfunded Veteran Hospitals.

*Voted No in May 2006 against $20-billion allotment for expanding Veteran Medical Facilities.

*Voted No in April 2006 to increase Veteran Outpatient care.

*Voted No in March 2004 another $1.8-billion reserve for Veteran Medical care (again funded by closing corporate tax loopholes).

Bottomline, McCain is more interested in taking care of big business then the men and women he wrongly sent to fight in Iraq.

Another traitor for Obama? He really seems to attract the undesirables. Strange, how he says Obama has a message similar to GWB and then procedes to support him! Obama should worry about this-don't feed this guy any information you want to keep confidential!

McClellan is intrigued by the similarities of Bush's 2000 campaign and Obama's 2008 campaign. And that is why a have serious concerns about Obama. Both Bush and Obama spoke of change and inclusion and athough I think Obama is OK, I am very untrusting of all him and of his promises.

He talks a lot but I have difficulty believing any fast talking politician now. Both Bush and Obama lacked experience and look where we are now!!
