Bill Donahue said this priest has a troubling past. Think he could be more specific? Anybody can say that about anybody, that they have a troubled past. Can we get some details, please? So Obama's responsible for this guy too? So if I ever decide to run for president, I'm going to have to get rid of every person I know who has said or done something wrong. I don't think I'll live long enough to get rid of all those people. Again, if you don't like Obama, then don't like him. If you don't want to vote for Obama, then don't. But can't we move on from this kindergartenish behavior, people just sitting around waiting for any little thing to jump on him for. Obama couldn't control what came out of Pfleger's mouth or Wright's mouth. Hillary Clinton couldn't control what came out of Geraldine Ferraro's mouth, & John McCain couldn't control what came out of John Hagee's mouth. We've all sat around someone who said awful things & didn't get up and leave. You won't admit it, but you have. What's next, someone going to tell us that Barack Obama went around the corner and farted. Boy, that'll make me switch my vote. Are people that easily influenced, that the slightest thing makes them change their mind? Gee whiz!!

It is amazing to me how people can even considered voting for Obama. Of the millions and millions of people in the US this is the best we can come up with?? You can either vote for a man who is too old to be president or vote for Obama a man who is just learning and doesn't have any experience. Though Hillary can't be trusted she is the best of the three. By next week she will be out!!!!!!
Our country is in BAD shape and the young voters are pushing Obama making him the front runner. I have some news for the Obama supporters a speech doesn't make a president. If Obama wins all who voted for him will regret it in 6 months to a year. All I can say is who ever is the vice president better be good to educate Obama. I will write in my vote for Hillary in November just like most of the Hillary supporters. I cannot look myself in the mirror and say I made the correct choice to vote for McCain or Obama

This time it was a “Catholic” priest. A few years ago it was many Catholic priests/Bishops that was controversial. Earlier this year it was Evangelical pastors.
It was the Tele-Evangelists before that. Baptists, Methodists, ……

It seems as though all religious groups are doing this. Were all in it together.

Come to think about it, my own church has said something that “someone” for sure is going to find controversial.

So we all now need to leave our churches so that everyone is happy?

So the Catholic League is wondering why Obama hasn't disowned Pfleger? The bigger question is why haven't the Catholics?

The League is supposedly there to fight for the free speech rights of Catholics. Apparently only those they agree with.

This guy was a guest speaker at the church Obama used to attend. Unless he is in on the planning of who is invited to speak, I'd say the media is once again unfairly tying him to a controversial religious figure. Give it a rest!

Wow, talking about NOT helping.
Well, let's hope after 3 weeks, this goes away because
Obama didn't say this or sanction this (as fasr as I know he didn't sanction this)
this doesn't really have anything to do with policy
it has nothing to do with running the country

But, people, if you're for a candidate, it's best to just let the candidate speak. That way, s/he can be held accountable for their own words and not yours.
Geesh, with friends like this, McCain doesn't have to do any work at all.

In 62 days Obama made 8 different account on his relationship with Reverend Wright. It won't be as many with Father Pfleger, but remember there is nothing the father says that hasn't come out of the Obama-campaign. If we agree the popular vote is a tie, I do not understand why superdelegates should reward Obama for running the most negative campaign I've seen in years. It's easy to win if you push out the opponents before election day. Obama is a thug, he's done it before. Why gamble in an election Dems cannot afford to loose, on a man as disagreeable as Obama. There is an experienced change-candidate in Hillary Rodham Clinton in play.

Mr. Donohue, to our collective disgrace, the ENTIRE Roman Catholic Church has a very troubling history. Yet, there have been countless loving, generous, self-sacrificing, & heroic Catholics throughout the centuries, so we have managed to maintain a balance. Before attacking Senator Obama for any relationship he has with Father Pfleger (or anyone else, for that matter), you have many other issues within the Church that require your attention.

Mr. Donohue, Continue to remove & help to appropriately & legally adjudicate those pedophile priests we still have within our parishes & all those who have provided safe havens for them knowing their crimes; provide appropriate evaluations of those considering the priesthood to eliminate pedophiles before they wear the garments; finds ways to encourage the Church to allow women to be fully functioning members; find ways to allow married priests to serve; find ways to eradicate the horrible treatment of the GLBT & divorced communities; finds ways to bring about peace, to combat ignorance, poverty, illness, discrimination in all its ugly forms, etc.!!!

Our Church has a long road ahead in terms of accepting human beings & other creatures as God apparently intended us to do. So far, our record is only so-so. Mother Teresa would remind you, "Do small things with great love." And, I imagine the good Lord Himself would discourage you from casting stones....

It is not only the remarks made by this racist catholic priest that concerns me but also the reaction of the congregation who are laughing, whooping ,clapping, waving their hands, and enjoying the sermon. Then the black who introduced the priest thanks God for the message and the messenger with applause from the congregation. It proves that racism is not a just a white thing, blacks are the biggest racist in our country. At least most whites are truly trying to come to terms with their racist past. Do you think our equal rights laws would have become law without the support of the majority whites. You judge a man by the company he keeps, especially the religious ones. I have deep concerns about Obama. I do not like McCain because he is the same as Bush. I really wish Hillary would get the Democratic nomination so I can vote for her. Otherwise I’m left to choose between to undesirable men, one a war monger, the other a black racist. I would choose McCain, racism is more divisive.
