Sen. Obama is gearing up for the last three Democratic contests.

(CNN) — Barack Obama will close out the primary season on Tuesday with a campaign event at the site of the Republican convention.

His campaign announced on Saturday that the Illinois senator will team up with his wife Michelle at a rally at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, the same arena which will house the 2008 Republican National Convention in September.

Obama's rally will take place as Montana and South Dakota close out the Democratic primary season on Tuesday. Thirty-one delegates are at stake in those two states.

Minnesota is considered a battleground — or swing — state that both parties will fight for in the general election.

Regarding "Puerto Rico"– It's great to hear at least one candidate pronouncing it correctly. Barack Obama gets it right. Not H.Clinton or any of the "Talking Heads" or so called expert analysts have done their homework. It's Not "Porto Rico folks".

Holden Litgo   May 31st, 2008 7:52 pm ET

He's running an inspired campaign - has surrounded himself with exceptionally creative and talented generals - and will clearly run things the same way as Commander in Chief.

He's going to team up with his wife Michelle? How touching…why not take Wright and Pfleger along? He would probably be doing himself a tremendous favor by leaving that wife at home..but we need her to keep talking so we can finally get Hillary nominated!

- Go OBAMA - waiting for you to become the nomination for president!

OBAMA - 08!

why?   May 31st, 2008 4:42 pm ET

Michelle Obama herself said that she would have to think about voting for HRC, were Clinton the nominee of the democratic party.

How then do all the Obama supporters get off blogging that all the HRC supporters should back Obama? Why do you think we owe you all any unity, when clearly you do not believe the reverse? If Michelle needs to think about the worthiness of the other dem, believe me…so will all the HRC supporters.

You can forget the support of any true democrat. We will vote our conscience and vote for the best candidate (HRC) and against the worst candidate (Obama).

Mulato in Canada   May 31st, 2008 4:42 pm ET

I strongly believe that Obama will win the democratic party elections, and I hope he will be elected president as well.

I really hope that the democrats choose a winner between today, when the DNC rules committee makes a final decision on FL and MI, and the end of the primaries on June 3rd. Superdelegates need to come forward and support the front-runner at that time, and math so far says that it will be Barack Obama.

I strongly believe that Obama will win the democratic party elections, and I hope he will be elected president as well.

By the way, I was once Hillary Clinton's supporter, but after her behavior in this presidential campaign I have experienced deception after deception.

The whole world is looking at these elections; USA desperately needs a new image abroad.

Go Obama! Keep up the good job. We all love you and believe in you. We will claim victory finally on tuesday. Sorry HRC, go back to New York or rally behind Obama, if you still want to be his VP.

I doubt people will simply trade the right-wing dingbat Bush for the left-wing nut case, Obama.

We are ready for change, but won't repeat the same mistake of electing a cocky, boastful, mocking, dismissive inexperienced and under qualified elitist to the presidency.

Lindsay   May 31st, 2008 1:48 pm ET

This is all going to end in very bad taste and the whole process is going to make the USA look even worse than ever.

The DNC will pander to HRC as most of those "high up" in the DNC did not expect or want Obama to be the nominee. At the time, no one was worried 'cos HRC was ahead. Now those in power in the DNC see the FL and MI case(s) as one last chance to help HRC over the top, which is what was "planned" and "expected" all along - her being the nominee that is.

Somehow, HRC is going to be "given" the nomination in spite of being beaten and it'll all be made to look "right" and "legal" following a new interpretation of the "rules".

Obama is the USA's best hope to move forward and from the brink of falling into a very dark period but he'll be ousted by the more "powerful" and the world will look on and groan and laugh (maybe) and loose even more respect for a once all-powerful nation.

Oh how the mighty fall. Not just Clinton, McCain, Obama but the USA as a whole.

Sad, but the whole world still looks on with a little hope and faith.

Senator Obama should have stood on top of Mt. Or better yet, he should stand in front of his mansion in Chicago and explain how Rezko helped him get it……….

Barrack Obama will score a huge victory over mcCain on 4/11/08. He will be a great American President non as been since JFK.
Will Americans be crasy enough to choose Hilary as their democratic Nominee after what she has demonstrated over the past 6 months, viz the following to name a few:
1. Florida & Michigan: She signed up to penalize states for breaking Rules and repeated it after winning New Hampshire primary, i.e. when she was leading the delegate count. Didn't she know then about what she is now saying? Doesn't that worry Americans what type of President she will turn out to be? Think hard, think again, you voters in Puerto Rico, S Dakota & Montana. Send her a message what you think of her.
2. Hilary lied , for a fact, that she faced a hail of cross fire on her peace mission to Bosnia. Can Americans accept Liar to be their President? If you do, then you shouldn't complain ever if she turns out to be a Bill Clinton Plus, worse than George Bush. Then even God cannot help America. By the way, if we are to believe Bill Clinton that Hilary misspoke due to tiredness after a late night, how in the world would Americans expect her to answer that 3am call? Bill Clinton to the rescue? Didn't you get lies, lies and lies from this guy ? remember?
3. Hilary repeated the reminders on RFK , not once but said it 4 times. This is no slip but intended to convince suspected 'Fence sitters amongst the Uncommited Super-Delegates'. Imagine the idea she is throwing out to all those 'crazy guys' of the likes of Sirhan Sirhan, and there are plenty of them in the USA. Just recollect the numeruous shootings oevr the past 3 years. This act alone is unforgivable and all demos participating in the next 3 primaries should vote their displeasure of her act, and remind all future candidates that this type of dirty politics must face the wreath of the people.
4. Hilary has said that Obama can win the GE'08 at one of the last Clinton/Obama debate. She now says not likely. Do Americans still believe her? My gosh, is anyone uncertain about how big a victory the Demo Party will win come 4/11/08, no matter who the candidate is.?
Come on Democrats, surely Hilary's often repeated claim that hard working white Americans will not vote for Obama is tantamount/ attempt at making it a reality in the event she loses, and/or blackmail the Super-Delegates to choose her. Playing a Racist card is putting the race relations decades back and no politician should be allowed to use it to succeed in their political ambitions.

God Bless America,

Leo Antony

Florida and Michigan proved that politicans do not need to spend money on advertising to know how to vote. All of Florida's and Michigans's votes should count. The News Media does a good job of informing people about the politicans. Take credit.

Thank You, Jim Carroll Internet Free Press

Good for you Obama! By doing this, you will make us supporters think of you when the RNC has their convention at the same site. Make sure it is a rousing finale so that those who are uncommitted and your supporters as well as Hillary's supporters who will come into our fold will think of a democrat when the Repugnicans have their convention there. Woot!!

Remember the name Hillary Clinton, Barack. That is the candidate you continue to diss by pushing her out of the way.
Remember the name Hillary Clinton, Michelle. That is the candidate you say can't run her own house, so how can she be expected to run the white house. She had 8 years in the white house and did very well as a respected first lady, may I remind you.
As an american, I am the one who is worried about what might eventually end up in the white house.

Gaylon   May 31st, 2008 1:08 pm ET

OBAMA you relly are pitififul. You send some one like Rep. Wexler to present your cause to the DNC Committe with such a ridiculous proposal that the delegates be split in half tnd say this will bring party unity. Think again. I hope you can win with what you get. Because without Hillary you will get nothing. Wexler is an idiot.

Sylvia Johnsen   May 31st, 2008 12:59 pm ET

"Mission Accomplished 2″.

Since admitting this race is not over by going to Puerto Rico and campaigning in South Dakota and Montana, Obama will once again start a general election ignoring Clinton. If he can't bully the opponent out before election day, like he did in Chicago, he aim to marginalize Clinton. Continuing the saga of disrespect, division by belittleing and negativity. There is nothing left of the Obama pillars of change, briding the divide and hope. The more we learn about Obama, the more we dislike him; Obama has become what he is - a Chicago politician.

If we agree the popular vote is a tie, then I see no reason why superdelegates should gamble the election on Obama. He ran the most negative campaign and should not be rewarded for it. Clinton has to stand up to the bully, if anyone can it's her.

How low can cnn stoop.

Tubby The Tuba   May 31st, 2008 12:50 pm ET

Obama, sounds like you are going to be Bushwacked not by George, but by Hillary and her 13. She has 13 voting members on the board and he had 8, except that one of those is not allowed to vote as he is from Florida. They will try to change the rules here at the end by 180 degrees. Sounds like McCain might win this election.

Four Years of McCain will show the DNC and the witch Polosi they made the screwed up big time. I hope Polosi is voted out of office for good. All she does is look in a mirror and see how her botox is working. Why dont you look out your window and see that you have done nothing to make things better in this country since the dems have taken over cap hill.

I think Obama has been very composed during the end of this campaign season. I've noticed that recently he's speaking very highly of Clinton while she has not been so gracious. She's only ben saying that she's a better candidate than him.

Sam   May 31st, 2008 12:36 pm ET

It's very symbolic that Obama is wrapping his primary campaign up at the site or the Republican convention. I'm sure the symbolism isn't lost on anyone. This general election the Democrats are going to take back states they've lost in recent years, and they're going to take states that have been traditionally Republican. And Barack is wrapping his campaign for the nomination up in Republican "territory".

I'm sure the Republicans will have the place scrubbed clean before they let any of their members in the place. Wouldn't want the Democratic cooties to somehow cause hardcore Republicans to vote for Obama.

Tired of all the flap!   May 31st, 2008 12:32 pm ET

Senator Barack Obama just looks like the nominee that he will be after Tuesday for the Democrats. He is showing a great leadership for the country come this fall and showing much respect for Senator Hillary Clinton and her campaign to bow out gracefully. I cannot say enough how he has really exempified strength and judgment within this Party during this primary season.

Former Obama Supporter   May 31st, 2008 12:32 pm ET

Obama will not win the popular vote, so he will not be the nominee. I just don't understand the arrogance of Obama. Hillary will win the popular vote and the superdelegates will not vote against the will of the people. The people have spoken and they want Hillary Clinton as their nominee.

It sounds like a good idea on the surface. However, I think you need to realize the Clinton's are not people. They haven't been for quite some time. They will continue to fight you to the bitter end and they care nothing about the consequences or the party. This is long from over due to the Clinton's history of creating animosity and division with everyone. Remember during the Clinton presidency we LOST control of the house and senate. This is what the Clinton's bring. DIVISION.

Montana is a battleground state (too small to matter by Hillary's strategy), that Obama has a chance to take in the GE. Obama's 50-state strategy means he has infrastructure in every state. It means the Republicans will have to contest in areas where they don't want to lose local elections and strech their resources outside their core strategy. THIS is SMART politics, unlike the personal expediency of the Clinton camp. Obama's strategy helps ALL DEMS in the GE, on federal, state and local levels. GO OBAMA !!!

Watching the DNC as its going on now….the Florida Democrats representatives are truely a disgrace. Disorganised to the bones and thats why Republicans are ruling there and deserve to do so. This is not about HRC or Obama..this is about lazy politicians who knew all along the likely disaster but did nothing but TALK and TALK!! SHAME on Floridas Democratic State Reps.
