Hillary Clinton is like the mistake your cat made in the storage closet. You can smell the stink. You can see where the mess is, but you still have to put everything out of the way to finally get at it.The last 2 primaries are the last things to get out of the way, then the cats smelly mess is finally gone.

Congratulations to Hillary! She deserves it. She works hard. She did not take any break while Obama did with his family somewhere in Caribbean. Hillary is so strong and truly is a hard worker. She does care about people's welfare. Listen to the voters. She got more voters than Obama. They know her care and heart for the people of America.
Go Hillary!

Clinton, it's over. only delegates count. nothing else............ I voted for Obama and so did many in this country. You chose to ignore my vote. you lost.

"With 85 percent of the precincts reporting, the Puerto Rico vote count showed Clinton with 219,536 votes, or 68 percent, to Obama's 102,304, or 32 percent." This is another landslide! Superdelegates must wake up to the reality. Hillary resoundingly got the popular vote, the will of voters, the will of people! We are democratic Democratic Party; we cannot overturn the will of voters, the will of people! (like Pelosi et al. have been saying all along)
Even Karl Rove's own Electoral College analysis shows Hillary clearly beats McCain while Obama LOSES to McCain!
What's the point of the historic one, if he LOSES?
Hillary will be the true meaningful historic one, because she will WIN!
Nominate Hillary.

Yes We Will!

I read the topic of Obama tagging along to Mt. Rushmore. Does he ever have an idea of his own?

Change Express , Kissimmee, FL   June 1st, 2008 7:21 pm ET

they dont count in the GE anyway..but guess what happens on tuesday?..a nice double win for Obama to end the primaries..hahaha.

There is a reason why Obama has done so well in the north mid western states...and thats because there is little racial tension in that region of the country. Those people are much more sensible, thank god!

I hate the way Obama has been shoved down Americans throats.I think more people would have voted for Clinton if the media has for months stated over and over how Obama is the choice to vote for.I am a Democrat that will either not vote this fall or vote Republican. This whole process has been one sided. If someone had held up a sign that said.."shine my shoes"the backlash would have been something else.but not much was said about the "iron my shirt " deal.Shame on the media...!!!!

DO NOT IGNORE THAT

MORE PEOPLE VOTED FOR HILLARY

IF SHE LOSES, IT WILL BE THE YEAR 2000 ALL OVER AGAIN...

David Self   June 1st, 2008 6:56 pm ET

Clinton moves way ahead in the popular vote now and should be the nominee. What many are not considering is that the vast majority of states Obama has won are states that the Democrats will not win in the general election: Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Iowa, Louisiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, And, the Bradley phenomenon kicks in in the general election, not the primaries which means his polls are way lower than those published. HE CANNOT WIN!!!

JC   June 1st, 2008 6:35 pm ET

Puerto Rico boosts Hillary's self-esteem.
Hope she will remember that!

Didn't the pundits say she will win in Pueto Rico with a wide margin? So, why did her win all of a sudden become so much news and why is there so much excitement as if it was a suprise and not predicted?

Who cares? PR shouldn't vote in the primaries since they don't vote in the general. Makes no sense.

The people who are most affected by the poor economy are saying that Hillary is the best candidate to win the white house and can turn around the economy to a better future. Rich people are not backing her because they are scared that they will loose their wealth if Hillary wins.

Don't quit Hillary. A lot of real people love you. If you don't win that is because the media is bias and sexist but definitely not racist.

"Clintithmatic": The math by which you declare victory in the popular vote by counting elections where you were the only candidate on the ballot, count primaries where there will be no presidential election, and do not count caucus states that do not release popular votes where a majority went to your opponent. Ahhh, if only I could get the IRS adopt this math with my tax return.

Hillary is beating Obama in Puerto Rico with a huge margin! If Obama is claiming he is the front runner, why he still at this point in the race, cannot close the deal? If he's that good, shouldn't he be winning Puerto Rico today? HILLARY '08

I hope that clinton will win the nomination. At the same time, Obama is also a deserved candidate. But the advantage of Clinton become a nominee, two presidents can rule the country with good prior knowledge which will reduce world terrorism.

Angry Clinton supporters tell party leaders: 'Let's go McCain!'
Is this not a failure?!

Why would any person, in their right mind, suddenly be PRO WAR and ANTI HEALTHCARE?

4 years of more Bush is NOT the right thing for the Democratic Party.
Should we not stand for our believes, against the Republicans, regardless of the outcome in this nomination?

There is no doubt in my mind that Hillary should be the candidate this fall,

Obomus is a loser., Hillary is a winner.

The super delegates better wake up, Senator Clinton has the popular vote. If the DNC supports the popular-vote loser this will ensure a losing outcome in November.

America will not support poor judgment plus no experience! Senator Obama’s race will be a repeat of the 1972 election.

Hill wins PR
Obama wins nomination

its all relative

Obama is up to the challenge. His optimistic outlook gives him the ability of being in charge of himself. He doesn't get emotionally overwhelmed when things don't go the way he wants. There are two more primaries to go. Obama for President.

Brenda   June 1st, 2008 4:09 pm ET

Hillary who?

curtis in WI   June 1st, 2008 4:06 pm ET

I have no doubt Clinton will win Puerto Rico – but can you hold off calling it a big win until the vote tally you are showing actually has her leading – which she is not with the 1% total you are using to project her the winner. She is actually losing by almost 200 votes of the 4000 you are listing.

James   June 1st, 2008 4:04 pm ET

Im a puertorrican that lives in United States and I have a message to all of you who think the votes from Puerto Rico are pointless.
We are part of United States whether you like it or not ( we don't give a Fk of what you think ), are votes are very important why?, because we have family that leaves on the States like myself ( yes my vote counts and my families vote also counts ) don't underestimate us because if we want, we can move to a State get a drivers licence become residents and register to vote and VOTE! You polititians think that you know everything!!! and by the way , Stop putting Hillary down because is not going to work. I have faith in people and this time justice will win, Hillary will win, Im not surprise that what happend in Florida and Michigan was unpurpose to fk Hillarys campaign, is not gonna work. Obama has writting DANGER on his face and people started to see it very very clearly. Thanks to you ( the reporters ) for also helping of trying to put down Hillarys campaign. You guys are s....! thats why is not even worth it to watch the news specially YOURS! Now I can turn off the Tv in peace after giving you a peace of my mind! Thanks and God bless Us All!!!!!!

I DO NOT TRUST THE RESULTS , NOR THE COUNTING
BUT FORTUNATELY IT DOES NOT MATTER
THEY WILL NOT BE VOTING IN THE GENERAL ELECTION ANYWAY

Bonnie   June 1st, 2008 3:49 pm ET

You can play your counting game, but the only reason Obama is as far as he is is because the press turned their back on Hillary. Obama is tainted money and big talk. There is no substance and if you think he can pull this country out of the trouble we are in-then you are dumber than Bush.It is well known in the young bar scene that young professional males that are Repub. voted Obama in the primary just to fight a woman. They intend to vote Repub. in the National election.

DANA ARNOLD   June 1st, 2008 3:48 pm ET

I TRIED TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND BETWEEN HILLARY AND OBOMA However His Book was very telling, and his wifes college papers, and Rev Wright. scared me off. I also feel he needs more time in government in Washington.. We truely have had enough of people who didn't know what they were doing. Personally The years of the Clinton presidency was my families best economic years. I am praying we get another chance thank you

Diane   June 1st, 2008 3:46 pm ET

Who really cares anymore about Hillary & Bill? Those people are disgusting. What are they really trying to prove or are they trying to bring down the Dem. party? Who did the people of P R really vote for?: Bill or Hillary? Enough is enough!!!!!

Anony-mouse   June 1st, 2008 3:43 pm ET

Anyone else find that amusing?

DOES NOT MATTER except to Hillary...her EGO is really the MOTIVATOR and NOTHING ELSE MATTERS TO HER!!

The winner WILL NOT be selected by the popular vote!!! NUFF SAID!!

John Pie   June 1st, 2008 3:43 pm ET

How can Terry McCauliff congratulate Sen. Clinton and pat himself on the back for 'another great win' in Puerto Rico while that 'win' is based entirely on CNN exit polls (0% of the vote has been reported); the same exit polls which he just claimed are not reliable as he spoke about the Michigan compromise?

Sally from Cali   June 1st, 2008 3:42 pm ET

Hillary's selfish pursuit of the Democratic nomination will be remembered as a divisive attempt to bully her way into the candidacy.

Will her legacy include being responsible for a Bush 3rd term.

Ben Ngairorue   June 1st, 2008 3:41 pm ET

From as far as Namibia where we are observing and monitoring the Democratic primaries. Most here are of the opinion that Hillary is steering division in the Democrating party. She should have long vacated the the surfing board before hitting the rocks ...Go Obama!!!!

DNC_backs_Obama   June 1st, 2008 3:40 pm ET

Too bad that Clinton did get her boost from Florida and Michigan wins. Actualy, it was important enough that Edward dropped out and DNC penelized Clinton for the their mistake. Democratic voters are watching and is not liking. DNC wants to tdisregard the core democratic voters and want to pander to liberal groups like MoveOn.org members, guess what I was on of the memeber and I have resigned from their propaganda after they started to attack anyone who leans center even those who have votted 98% of the time with other democratic members of congress.

WOW she Won a Stat... errrr Territory that means absolutly NOTHING in the General Election but she will Spin this into THE reason why she is more Electable...NOT like when she lost 11 straight STATES!!!!

I am so happy she is out of this in a few days.

Now it is time to throw that win behind Barack Obama as the likely nominee on the basis of Party Unity.

Democrats and not Clintons could save us this year

DEMOCRATS UNITE   June 1st, 2008 3:38 pm ET

The DNC will find a "rule" to award the delegates to Obama. It is only fair. I have been a loyal democrat for 30 years but after watching the DNC operate yesterday I can no longer call myself a democrat and like many will hope that McCain picks a moderate like himself to run as VP. If McCain picks someone like Bloomberg you will see many people vote Republican-me included.

Sark   June 1st, 2008 3:34 pm ET

Not that I have anything against PR, but they can't even vote in the General Election.. why are they having a primary?

Unshrub   June 1st, 2008 3:32 pm ET

And so what? This is nice, but for it to really count they should become a state. They don't get to vote in the general election, so why should their votes count towards Hillary's fictional popular vote. Why don't we hold an election in Canada and count their votes? It has just as much meaning. If they can't vote in the general who cares what they vote in the play-primary vote. It's just another one of Hillary's imaginary victories that only counts in her and her delusional followers. It is time for her to quit and let the grown-ups go to work.

g in ca   June 1st, 2008 3:32 pm ET

Paul, FL   June 1st, 2008 3:28 pm ET

WOW THATS A SURPRISE.....

not hard when you have three from the same family campaigning in that state for decades!

What a waste of a vote though!! No vote at all would have more of an influence of the race at this point then voting for Clinton

Jeff   June 1st, 2008 3:28 pm ET

My Question to CNN and donna Brazile who is a supporter of Obama.
If Obama has the lead in deligates but not enough to cross the finish line and is behind in popular vote
and
If Hillary is behind Obama in deligates buy ahead in popular votes
Then why do I keep hearing Obama wins because he has more deligates.
He does not have enough to cross the line.
Why would the supers who will be the deciding factor count the lead in deligates when he does not cross the line without the supers putting him over that line, over who has more actual votes.
It does not matter if Obama is 2 deligates away from the finish line. He does not cross unless party insiders put him over.
The party bosses like Donna Brazile do not beleive the voters should be the ones who's voices count more than party insiders/supers making that decision.

Obalegerwright   June 1st, 2008 3:27 pm ET

They remain loyal to the Clintons, Latinos are very loyal, unlike Obama and his supporters. the proof is in the news if you listen.
Just when you thought that it was getting crowded under that bus, Obalegerwright, has just thrown his whole church under the bus. He will do anything to win the Presidency, and I mean anything. Wonder how that will set with all those black people who were jumping up and down and cheering when Wright and Pfleger were putting down white people, this country and especially Hillary Clinton? He might lose the black vote when they realize he was using them to get to point A. He knows they (a mere 12%) cannot carry him to the White House. Wonder how Oprah feels, now that her popularity is waning? Loyality is not his forte! Anything to win is now evident, is it not?

Nick   June 1st, 2008 3:26 pm ET

After that?

After further review,Texas.   June 1st, 2008 3:26 pm ET

Lets just leave her there and make her their new president.

rod gonzalez   June 1st, 2008 3:24 pm ET

Now I'm sure Hillary will claim she should be the nominee because she can win Puerto Rico in the Fall, even though Puerto Rico doesn't vote in the presidential election, but that's just a technicality that Congress should abolish by making it the 51st state.
I'm sure they'll make Puerto Rico as important as California today when the votes come in.
The Jason of politics; as charismatic, too.

Ken   June 1st, 2008 3:23 pm ET

We all knew that Hillary Clinton would win, for it is the people that realize that she is the President that the people want. It has been shown by the popular voting that has been done across America.

ALL of the "Super Delegates" need to change their voting and get behind Hillary Clinton and push her over the finish line. Hillary Clinton is the strongest candidate to beat McCain in November and to take back the White House.

If Barack Hussein Obama becomes the nominee, he will NEVER beat McCain, nor will he ever become our next President!

THE PEOPLE WANT HILLARY CLINTON TO BECOME OUR NEXT PRESIDENT!

Sandy - PA   June 1st, 2008 3:23 pm ET

And how will those votes go in the general? Oh, that's right,
PUERTO RICO DOESN'T VOTE IN THE GENERAL!

Meaningless win for Clinton.

I happen to live in So. Cal., and yesterday I visited the Reagan Library here, which I’d planned to do for over year. I also remembered that, even though I'm a lifelong Democrat, I voted for Reagan. And seeing and watching him in action in film and photo, I remembered why.
He was a moderate politically, but he was a REALIST and packed a punch when it mattered: He simply WALKED OUT of discussions where the Soviets (then the perceived "terrorists") were trying to sabotage his defense strategies to protect Americans.
He refused to merely "talk" to those wanting to tear down or impede democracy. And after he made sure that America was strong militarily — only then was he able to shout: "MR. GORBACHOV, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL! " And down it came!
Suddenly I remembered why I voted for him— HE WAS A PERSON OF SUBSTANCE — A REALIST — NOT FULL OF EMPTY RHETORIC
Only Clinton and McCain come even remotely close! WHO ARE YOU REALLY, SENATOR OBAMA?

Time for Change   June 1st, 2008 3:21 pm ET

Give me a break. Who really cares about PR...it does not count by anyone's math (that is for the Clinton supporters)!!!!!!

Clinton, who cares again, because the nomination is based on the delegates, and Obama is the winner. Please don't try to change the rules again!

Clinton, who cares again. You have to count the Caucus states, even though they don't support the almighty Clinton, because they do actually count.

Who Cares Hillary...you can claim all you want, but the nomination is based on delegate.. and YOU LOST! PERIOD. You lost!!!!!

Go away.

ki-jana carter   June 1st, 2008 3:21 pm ET

Who cares!?!?! (Besides Billary and Puerto Ricans)

Seriously how can all you lame clintonites whine about the RBC ruling. You're going to tell a candidate he is not allowed to campaign somewhere and then count the election? This is how dictators get re-elected. Oh wait, Hillary thinks she IS the dictator of america. Too bad.

mike   June 1st, 2008 3:20 pm ET

Who cares. Obama is getiing the nomination so why waste money and campaign in Puerto Rico knowing they wont be at the GE. Campaign smart. guess thats why she is in debt.

leebee1963   June 1st, 2008 3:19 pm ET

Why does this even matter?

Pete   June 1st, 2008 3:19 pm ET

Why does the popular vote count toward the primary total if the votes do not count in the election ???

JC   June 1st, 2008 3:19 pm ET

Yes, you see Hillary in all shades of blue every day for the victory speech after the PR primary. I wonder what color she will pick for her independent party after Obama claims victory. (She will never concede.)

confused   June 1st, 2008 3:19 pm ET

Polls Polls Polls... that's great, but CNN, Please do a better job explaining why on FRIDAY, May 30th, before the DNC met to decide what to do about MI and FL, Obama needed only 42 delegates to secure the nomination as he had 1984 delegates.. Now, today on SUNDAY June 1st, Obama has 2055 (over the 2026 previously needed) but now needs 2118 Delegates to secure the nomination..

This does not make sense.

About Time   June 1st, 2008 3:18 pm ET

Big deal. Does Puerto Rico VOTE in the GENERAL ELECTION! NO. HillBill have no argument regarding popular vote because PR does not vote in the GE. This is the most over hyped media coverage I have EVER seen!

Rich Ferguson   June 1st, 2008 3:18 pm ET

With a big win here and a competitive showing or even an edge in SD, maybe, just maybe the Democrats won't snatch defeat out of the jaws of certain victory as they have again, and again, and again....

Lee   June 1st, 2008 3:18 pm ET

Puerto Ricans don't vote in the general presidential election, and the turn out for the primary there is very light. This is all pretty moot.

tell the truth   June 1st, 2008 3:18 pm ET

Good Job Clintion but this is not about one primary. Obama has more states and votes and the only thing that matter more DELGATES. Case closed

Go Obama

...and???

Peter Damoah-Afari   June 1st, 2008 3:16 pm ET

Hahahahahhaha...............I am laughing loud....LOL. So, can this change things? Obama all the way.

Former Obama Supporter   June 1st, 2008 3:16 pm ET

Hillary Wins!!!! She beat Obama in every category, even the youth vote. Take that Obama supporters. She will win the popular vote and she will be the nominee, because superdelegates won't vote against the will of the people.

Matt   June 1st, 2008 3:16 pm ET

Lets hope her huge emphasis on Puerto Rico is a move to re-establish her support in NY rather than to continue the nomination fight beyond Tuesday.

Ryan   June 1st, 2008 3:15 pm ET

According to exit polls sexism and racism helped Clinton a lot. I am very confused as to why Clinton seems to claim differently.

Over 30% of Clinton's supporters said race was an important factor. Two thirds of which said it was the most important factor.

Nearly 60% of Clinton's supporters said gender was important.. Over two thirds of which said it was the most important factor.

Voice   June 1st, 2008 3:15 pm ET

Wolf Bliter and Schbeider cannot wait to annoce that Clnton is leading the popular vote at 3:03 on saturday. They cannot wait!

I cannot wait to see their disappointment and humilation when their projection falls short. I cannot wait to trash their self-claimed fair and balanced journalism. It is baseless and biased journalism CNN!!!
