When this thing is over Hillary and her $110 million will be just fine where will the rest of us be? Mired in a recession because some bitter women think they’re standing up for Hillary.

DO NOT VOTE MCCAIN

those "life-long democrats" posting in these fora are either complete and utter morons who don't have a clue as to the policies Obama represents, racists, or republican trolls. The right reasons to vote for Hillary were and are her policies, which are very close to identical to Obamas. If you trust Hillary's judgment, why not pledge to throw your support to whoever she endorses?

McCain is trying to BS Americans into thinking he has always been a supporter of the environment and projects that do as well. I am so sick of his trying to ERASE his history. Maybe HE forgets because of his AGE, but the rest of us WON"T.
All the money that has gone into keeping this wasteful war alive, is killing American's-health, economy and future.

Oh my God- Ignoring the United Nations is not in reality that bad of a thing- while the UN is successful in some aspects, when it comes to the most important issues of preventing genocide and humanitarian crises it has a miserable record. Why is nothing being truly done in an effort to stop the crisis in Suda? Because China is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and has an intricate trade relationship with the country. They also have a veto. The United States' ignoring the UN is certainly positive in this scenario as they have introduced economic sanctions all over the country and should really be going one step further. And when it comes to Iraq, being there in one hundred years is a better alternative than taking off now with our tails between our legs.

Anybody remember where President Bush was on the day Katrina struck New Orleans?

If you said that he was presenting John McCain with a birthday cake (August 29, 2005) give yourself a round of applause!

I live in NEW ORLEANS, and no New Orleanian could afford to go to his DINNER ...It has been all over the local news ...
It is 100,000 a couple , are you KIDDING me ???... We are rebuilding our homes and lives and this OUT OF TOUCH dinosaur from the 1800's decides he needs to show the nation how different from BUSH he is, that's laughable, he is just like BUSH, only BUSH would come to a city recovering from the worst disaster in our NATIONS history and have a 100,000 a couple DINNER ....
Only a REPUBLICAN would be this insensitive and out of touch with Americans . Similar to BUSH's FLYOVER after Katrina hit, he didn't want to get his cowboy boots wet I guess ......

Ok, i cant take it anymore. Hillary this is getting really sad. I supported you through everything and listened to everyone say you were for yourself. I defended you countless times. Now i see no way that they were not right. I have had to step back and take a look at everything i thought was fact. You said you were fired on by snipers and i said ok. you said you were never for Nafta and i said ok. you said Obama was not qualified, i said ok. You said you could still win this, i said ok. Hillary, why did you lie to me about all of these things. Why have you said you care about this party, this country, the people and then keep doing this to us. I am sorry but i can no longer stand with you while you tear us apart. Obama is a smart man, he is a good man, he is maybe better for us than you. i am very sad right now.

McCain calls projects like strengthening and building levees "pork", "waste" and "earmarks."

He has a terrible record when it comes to infrastructure, and while that area seems terribly boring, the people of New Orleans just got a whole lot more interested in its importance recently.

Interesting- McSame hides his meets with Shrub, but wants to have a joint trip to Iraq with Obama, maybe so he can get a photo op with a democrat?? The differences Mc Bush has with shrub are minor and on fringe issues that may matter to their advocates, but are relatively unimportant to most. He refuses to recognize the economy is in the toilet, claims success in iraq, even though the political issues have not been achieved (or even approached). He is too old to change his ways/thoughts (if any). What is heroic about being shot down and taken prisoner?? Granted that he deserves credit for surviving, but that does not make a hero!

One Dem. Apparently you do not care about health care, ending perpetual war and death of our soldiers, abortion rights, our severe climate change problem, dependency on foriegn oil, big money lobbyists. You know what, if you are that ignorant then you deserve whatever you get. I am so tired of people coming on here spouting ignorance when they don't even take the time to learn the policies and get to know the candidates. Here is a clue for you. If you can't trust a candidate you can't trust what they say and most of what Hillary said was pandering lies. McSame is no different. Ask yourself if all of the problems we have now were better or worse before Bush took office. I think even you can understand what a vote for McSame is.

If McCain is going to be giving a speech on the differences between him and Bush, I'm guessing it's going to be aired during a commercial break, it can't last for more than 30 seconds.

Yeah - they're very different. Except for that Iraq thing. Or the economy. You know - little things like that.
Off-subject, To One Dem - I was initially neutral where Clinton and Obama were concerned. (I liked Biden, Dodd, Edwards or Kucinich better than either of them.) I found their stands on the issues to be very similar. It was her dirty politics and negative campaigning that drove me to Obama. So I fail to understand how you can accuse Obama. Anyone who would vote for McCain over Obama is no democrat.

Senator McBUSH critisizes Obama about talking to (adversaries).

He totally ignores historic facts that have often shown that negotiation can lead to resolution.

He obviously doesn't recall (or doesn't want to heed) the fine words of John F. Kennedy., "Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear to negotiate." That ignorance of history, whether intentional or not, makes him unqualified to be President.

So yet another "lifelong" Democrat is voting for McCain because they are not happy with the treatment HRC received. Please give me a break. You are NOT a true Democrat. All those suggesting the supposed write in option are just Rush Limbaugh inspired dittohead Republicans-- not Democrats. As usual it is Republican dirty tricks- and not even a very clever one at that. You are not fooling any of us. I will vote for our party's nominee, as will all true Democrats. A Democrat will be in the White House in 2009.

Obama captured the popluar vote but the delegates should listen to the will of the people, all 17 million of Hillary supporters. People if Obama has the popular vote, (or I'll entertain your thoughts) a little less than Hillary then he must have 17 million votes also. That is minus the people who wanted to vote for him in Michigan, and the caucuses. FACTUALLY, it was Hillary's campaign team that voted to penalize the state of Michigan because they were on the committee, and Hillary and her team said the votes wouldn't count, so they suppressed the will of those voters. Look it up!

This is the funny part. The DNC had 13 Hillary supporters on the committee and she lost the vote 19-8 so she couldn't even convince her own supporters to back her. But Hillary was cheated. hahaha

Now I hear people wanting to vote for McCain but his policies are directly opposite of Hillary, or you have strong supporters of Hillary who won't vote at all. This is why the forefathers didn't leave the voting to the will of the people. It is not about your support for anyone but yourself. You pick the candidate that best supports your policy agendas'. Not a person. This is why we are in the mess we are in today because of these stupid voters. My God we need to take IQ test just to allow people to vote. These are the dumbest comments that I've every read in my life. I think it is very funny. Now I know how the lenders preyed on these stupid people. Now I know how credit card companies keep people in debt and make so much money off of them. Now I know how Bush (Who so many people claim is dumb), was able to outsmart so many people and take their tax dollars and make himself (me included) even richer. Thank God for dumb people.

These supporters don't even know Hillary, Obama or McCain, can't even call them on the phone or sit down and have a cup of coffee with them and chat, yet they are strong supporters. How stupid is that? Then the kicker is they let someone else upset them enough to not vote for someone. A supporter trashed talked you so now you hate the person the supporter supports. Is this dumb or what? Now I know why the rich are only the top 1%. Maybe cause they vote and research with intelligence and utilize their knowledge to make money, while you stupid 99% claim love for people you don't even know.

McCain sided with Bush on too many issues to be considered different, most recently on the GI Bill, which had 75-22 bipartisan support. McCain has also flip-flopped on tax cuts for the wealthiest 1-2% during a time of war and aligned with Bush on the torture vote against one of his stated principles in the Republican debates.

Voting for Mccain means a third Bush term, which is the same to say a weaker economy, more of our soldiers wasting their lives in a non-sense war, and another clown that will be doing everything possible to get the last job he will have in his not-so lmuch longer life. Now he wants to go to New Orleans and have some pictures taken and critize his buddy George that he did not do what he was suposed to do? His people should show him the pictures he had taken with George Bush just a few days ago. maybe due to his age, his eye sight is as weak as his plans to run this great country of ours and is not beenable to see the reality as it should be seen. Any smart American can see that if Mccain is elected, our country will go deeper into more trouble. That should include Democrats, independents, and even republicans like me that prefer to change party's affiliations and vote for somebody else before seeing somebody like Mccain taking us deeper into the mess that people with future and still with a lot of years tto live in this world are trying to avoid.
God Bless our country and please bring some change soon!!!

The only difference that I see, is that Bush was orginally in favor of supporting the Martin Luther King Holiday.

Whereas McCain was strongly opposed to the MLK holiday when he was an Arizona Senator (notice how that fact doesn't get reported in the media).

Aside from that, they are cut from the same cloth.

One Dem,

You are describing Hillary Rodham Clinton as a liar and a hypocrite. Remember, she is the one who stated that she was under sniper fire 3 seperate times. She is the hypocrite who said that the votes in Michigan and Florida should not count if they break the Democratic Party rules, but then when she was losing, she wanted all the votes to count so as not to disenfranchise the voters. Well, the votes counts now for a half. Unfortunately, Clinton wanted all the votes to be awarded to her. Clinton the hypocrite did not care about disenfranchising the voters, she wanted to pad her vote count. Please, do not forget that she criticized Rev. Wright, but she and Bill Clinton invited him to the White House for counsel when the Monica affair was going on. They also visited his church. Let's not forget her health care plan that failed.

I think we should be asking ourselves this: Government response time to New Orleans collapse, 5 days. Government response time to the Bear Stearns collapse, 24 hours.

McCain IS Bush, so distancing himself from the prez will be an effort fought in vain, and with no successful end.

If any of you Americans are wise, you'd do well to avoid this wicked man at all costs. He can only mean the demise of the nation. Possibly the world.

Not McCain speaking again!!! He puts me to sleep everytime he speaks. It's like I've have 2 Percocets without experiencing any real pain. McCain really does not have anything to offer other than he was a war hero. Guess what Eistein?! So are the soldiers who rescued his butt and the ones who actually died for this country. If you vote someone who was a prisoner of war, then you are just as bad as Bush Jr. and McCain.
