Sen. Robert Byrd is expected to remain hospitalized overnight.

(CNN) - Sen. Robert Byrd was hospitalized Monday night, a spokesman said.

The 90-year-old Democrat from West Virginia appeared lethargic when he arrived at his Senate office Monday afternoon in preparation for a vote on global warming, the spokesman said.

After the vote, he returned home, where his caregiver noticed the same symptoms, took his temperature and discovered he had a fever, the spokesman said.

Isnt it odd how so many of Obama's endorsers are suddenly stricken with illnesses? Could it be the mysterious Clinton Curse back in action? They seem to be dropping like flies, the way people have who've opposed the Clinton's over the years.

All I can see is Sen Byrd's tearful tribute to Sen. Ted Kennedy. And then that jerk Cheney goes and insults his citizens in WV.

I pray all is well with the Senator and he makes a speedy recovery!

It's about time someone younger takes his place. Obama is right age matters, Byrd is to old to be Senator.

I hope Byrd has another good 10-20 years of service left in him. His best work is yet to come.
The "young", "educated" people of this generation are way too ignorant to run this country. They are the "pep rally" generation. Give them a trendy cause and they will buy all the commemorative t-shirts and caps produced for it. Give them a politician who can speek for hours without actually saying anything and they will project any thing they want to believe on his "blank screen". If the presentation is flashy enough, they will cheer "go team go" while being led of the side of a cliff.
