Hmm, looks like Hillary isn't an automatic "shoo-in" after all for VP. There are plenty of other inspiring candidates besides "bitter" Hillary for VP to augment Obama's CHANGE message who can bring in the white female and white undereducated males to the general election. The longer Hillary whines, complains and denies the inevitable, the tougher it'll be for her to become VP or get Obama to reimburse her for lost $11.4 million "loan". Should be a real hoot now....:)

Then they need to realize that due to her MANY highly negative attack statements about Obama during the primary season, she has ruined her own chance at VP practically. Some are threating to vote for McCain if Hillary is not the VP.
To them I say it is a free country . Apparently they have more money than I do.

In my opinion, Hillary should not accept the VP position. She should run as an independent candidate and win the election in the Fall when the Florida and Michigan are not penalize for early voting and when all votes are counted. That will show how fool the DNC was to pick Obama. Hillary has the most popular votes than any other candidates and she alway fight for American people. She is an excellent leader who understand people and who can help to solve the problems that we face now. I hope to see her run as an independent candidate like Joe Lieberman did in 2006 and win the election.

Obama should seriously consider Gen. Wesley Clark for VP. There was a strong "Draft Clark" movement down here in Texas last time around. Clark has large scale federal administrative experience as the former NATO Commander, and is a Vietnam combat veteran, a Clinton supporter (can't hold it against him), and has campaign experience (knows the mistakes already personally). He would be a good counter weight to John McCains military resume and bring a lot to the ticket. He's also from Arkansas so that should help the ticket with its Southern strategy and would play very well in places such as NH which is Mccain country but has a lot of independents.

I feel sorry for all of the Clinton supporters that feel they have been betrayed, but some day they will realize that Hillary betrayed them the most.

If she truly wanted to be the VP, she would have thrown her total support behind Barack Obama last night. She has let all of the women that supported her and wanted her to be on the ticket down.

If she had been supportive of Barack Obama last night, all of the news would have been very positive about her today, and made it imposible for Barack to turn her down. Now, not only is the news negative, but the entire Democratic Party will turn against her.

Her actions last night may help bring Obama down in November, which is suspect is what she wants, but it will also be the end of her political career. People will not forget this if she tries to run again in four years. There will be many Democrats that supported her this year that will not support her the next time because she has shown her true colors, and shown that she has put herself above the Party.

Hillary would make a FANTASTIC Supreme Court Justice, and in that role could have influence for decades!

No disrespect to Hillary's supporters... Obama needs to choose someone who reflects his commitment to doing things in a new way in Washington. I like Obama/Richardson, but I know the Obama VP search team will choose the best person to help facilitate change to benefit our citizens, our country and our work in the world.

Caroline Kennedy is a great addition to the search team. Another example of Obama's ability to choose excellent advisors and a well-chosen team.

Every candidate appoints a selection team. Busy had one too. His was led by Chenney.

The selection committee takes its direction from the candidate. Their role is one of interviewing and background vetting. They will give Obama a list of people they recommend, based on his critera, and he will make the choice. This is no different than its been done in the past.

It's outrageous to have Clinton staff and backers going on national television advocating for a Clinton VPship. That certainly doesn't seem like a way to unify the party. Does it make Obama a bad person if he doesn't pick her? Seems like more of a devisive and manipulative attempt to have their way than to unify the party. If people are stupid enough to vote for McCain who's policy platform is antithetical to Clinton's policies, I don't really think that they should be encouraged in that direction.
