I don't understand this "It's not even 24 hours" thing. The math has been the same for months. Nothing has changed, and there has been plenty of time to prepare for this. It's been on the horizon for a long time, even Bill Clinton acknowledged it days before as his last time campaigning.

When Obama's magic number was under 50 and you're 200 delegates behind, you prepare for the inevitable.

What Sturm und Drang!

What wanton hubris!

Do these loyal Democrats need more suspense and melodrama? If Hillary were a man the media and her fellow Democrats would dismiss her and move on rather than waiting for her to catch her breath. Anything she has to say now is too little and too late.

Senator Clinton was self serving, as usual, in last night's speech. After that historic moment for this country, she showed little or no respect for Barack Obama. It was terrible. Congressman Rangel is absolutely right and he was a strong supporter of Clinton. She can not bow out with grace when anger is her stronger suit.
Please, no VP spot for Hillary. Senator Obama won because the people chose him. Let her go back to her seat in the senate.

I think HRC ran a great race and has really moved the ball forward for women. Right now, however, she needs to show that she, and women in general, have the guts to take a loss and be gracious about it.

I want to be able to teach my kids that sometimes you try hard and fail, but you don't treat the winner of a contest disrespectfully just because you didn't win - she's turning into a bad example at this point, as opposed to a fighter.

A guy sees a rattlesnake down in a hole. The rattlesnake says, “Please get me out of this hole.”
The man says, “No, you will bite me.”
The rattlesnake says, “No, I promise, if you get me out of this hole I will not bite you.”
The man reaches down into the hole and lefts the snake out. The rattlesnake bites the man.
“Why did you bite me? I was lifting you out of the hole.”
The rattlesnake says, “It’s my nature.”
Obama should be careful of Hilary.

Why shoul Hillary support a luing cheat? Number one; he didn't desrve any votes for Michigan because he withdrew his name. Plus the democratic committee said that if Florida and Michigan moved their primaries to when they did, their votes would not count at all. Now the DNC has gone against what they said and allowed half the votes plu gave votes to hObo when he removed his name. I say screw the DNC and vote McCain '08.

Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote. That number she is feeding to her supporters does not include cacus states. People, known as voters, are not being counted. Most of all, she lost the delegate count in which presidential nominees of the past has been selected by.

Hillary Clinton is not in control of all those people that voted for her.

As I have stated on similar articles, Hillary can't raise funds for her indebted campaign if she concedes therefore expect her keep this campaign alive until she can recoup her personal losses an estimated $20 million and payoff her campaign debts!!! I don't why this fact is not being discussed! She does not have to stay in the race to have bargaining power, or to get on the ticket in those regards she has all that she needs, this is clearly financially motivated. You want her out go to her website and DONATE!!!

Ken says: "Let Hillary Clinton run this race the way she wants to run her race. She has every right, for she has won the "Popular Vote" and she does have every right to even take it to the convention floor. "

The race is over. The avalanche started yesterday and continues today. The Superdelegates are deserting her camp.
On the other hand I think it rather ghoulish how having lost the pledged delegates, the super delegates (after leading for months) the popular vote (unless you use funny math and count Michigan where she broke the rules and left her name on the ballot) and the campaign fund (through bad management) Clinton et al are hoping for their last and only solution which is that something will happen to the winner so the loser can scamper gleefully to take his place. What a distasteful image.

I am glad that this pouting behavior has partially put the brakes on the possibility of an Obama/Clinton ticket and will allow Sen. Obama the freedom to choose a partner that is not busily salting the fields and poisoning the water.

I'm inclined to believe that Hillary Clinton should be allowed to address the future at her own pace and however she sees fit. Unfortunately, the political process does not stop and Obama has to address his general campaign the way he and his team see fit. Forcing a working relationship on two people who may or may not be a "good fit" with one another is not prudent, especially at such a critical crossroads for our nation. History will be a stern judge of the participants.

Hillary complains of sexism, but if any male candidate were behaving this way, it wouldn't be tolerated for nearly as long. People have put up with a lot of poor sportsmanship and awful behavior from her because she's a woman, and because she's a Clinton. She's exploited both to the fullest, and she should be ashamed.

This is why Hillary was NOT nominated. A true leader would have put personal ambitions aside for the sake of the Party.

Her behavior is NOT presidential.

Once again, she is being exposed. Why can't her supporters see this? It is so clear that her behavior would gain the respect of world leaders.

Why do you all insist the American process not be fully carried through? Clinton has every right to stay in the race because....GASP! It's truly not over until the DNC.

It's all perfectly simple; she is justgoing back to her entitlement strategy with which she began the campaign now, however, she is saying "I am entitled to be Vice President." What she does not realize still is that one has to earn respect and earn trust and earn support. She would be a disaster as a Vice President.

Where were you when she spoke yesterday? I hear her clear and loud. She was very specific about unity and making the Democratic party the winner in November. Also she congratulated Obama and said a lot of nice comments on him. Again where was this guy last night. Was he with Carter too?

Representative Rangel, billionaire Robert Johnson, and many others viewed the Clintons as their best possible link to the inner circle. Senator Obama has put these folks on the outside looking in. The Clintons showed their true colors throughout the campaign--even raising issues of race--and if you can believe it--sexism. While Senator Obama, not for the first time, conceded much to Hillary Clinton last night, Hillary Clinton gave Obama ice water and showed the Clintons' true colors mixed with sour grapes.

Uh. No. She herself railroaded her own campaign. Nothing more.

IT was all Hillary. Stop blaming, like she's doing, everyone else. The only person to blame is herself.

And I don't believe I have to list all the things she did that brought about her fate.

She has no one to blame but herself

First of all, her claim of winning the popular vote is questionable - if you count Michigan and give Obama the uncommitted vote she barely wins, but if you estimate the caucus states then Obama wins anyway.

Second, it's entirely irrelevant - the nomination is based on DELEGATES won, not votes cast. Is that really so difficult to understand? Her campaign was terribly run and decided to ignore the caucus states, which may have cost her the nomination....that's the bottom line. Whine and moan all you want about the popular vote, but that's not the determining factor in deciding the nomination...DELEGATES are. Understand? If popular vote were the critical factor then Gore would have been elected in 2000...sadly, he wasn't

It's really too bad, because Hillary has loads of talent and energy and supporters, but she simply is not wired to be #2. Rangel and other supporters and friends of Hillary would do her (and the party) a great service by having an honest reality-check with her. I hope that Pres. Obama offers her either the #1 spot in the Dept. of Health and Human Services or a Supreme Court position.

Hilary Clinton show the entire world Tuesday night just how mature she really has become by not Graciously conceeding and Uniting White woman into the Democratic Fold, as well as her 18-million voters by sincerely congradulating Barack Obama on his VICTORY on this Historical Moment in American, and encouraging to get behind Barack Obama to untie the Party.

As a BLACK African American Woman, I'm appauled by Hilary's behavior, her non-concession speech that stole the spot light on a very Important moment for ALL OF US Tuesday night, and instead of her taking the HIGH ROAD, she choose to act like a winning spoiled brat by showing her true colors. Now Hilary & Bob Johnson want to Bogart, Pressure and Demand that she be VP, I say NO WAY IN THE WORLD is this a winning Ticket......Stealing the Spot Light leaves a BAD TASTE in mouth for ever, and Hilary Supporters stop the madness and get real because we have much to do going forward. Thanks Hilary & Bill Clinton, but AMERICAN's have spoken, no more TRICKS and under hand tactics & strong arming your way back in to the White House because I'M BACKING BARACK OBAMA 110% All the way, and hope you will find a meaningful way to get your voters to come aboard! Barack can choose any one to become VP, but last night you proved to the WORLD you're not READY FOR CHANGE or progress for AMERICAN PEOPLE! It's not all about you, It's BIGGER THAN YOU! Sore Looser...

Typical Hillary. She still can't believe that she, " a Clinton" has been beaten; and I'm sure she is trying, as hard as she might, to figure a way to get Obama disinfranchised. She is not fit to hold public office and I hope Obama will refrain from putting her on the ticket as VP. It is time for a change and remove American from the corruptible influence of the Bush's and the Clinton's.

Hillary not conceding last night was a real slap in the face to Obama. Moreover, Hillary and Bill are not going to campaign for him - who in their right minds actually believe that? Thus - she could not by my V.P. She's much too selfish. What a sore loser.

Obama could have ended the Democratic Nomination Process weeks ago if he would just have given Hillary Clinton the VP slot on the Democratic ticket. I think she has definitely earned it by getting the most votes by actual voters in this contest. I think that adding Hillary Clinton to the ticket would also be a smart move. Obama can either be the first black president (with Hillary by his side) or he can let McCain be president by choosing a different running mate. I know Obama's wife doesn't like Hillary, but Obama should do what he can to win the nomination otherwise McCain will be president come January.

He is absolutely right. I keep reading comments from Hillary supporters claiming that Obama supporters are rude. Have you been watching the primaries. Haven't you seen all of the attacks that Obama has had to endure and he still shows her respect for Hillary. Didn't you see how she conducted herself last night and how she refused to acknowledge that Obama had won the democratic nomination. For months I have seen negative and insidious comments made against the Obama campaign. Now Hillary supporters want to threaten repeatedly that they will vote for McCain, because your candidate ran an ugly campaign and lost. Wake up. Is this really the sort of leadership that you want to represent you. It is time to move forward in a positive way. Recognize that what is happening now is the reason that Hillary is not the nominee. This is not about her, but the future of our country. Now is the time for her to be a real leader and stop this nonsense. She is continuing to divide the party and doesn't seem to give a da...n
