To think that Democrats wouldn't vote for Obama in the general because they didn't vote for him in the primary is the unfortunate result of elementary thinking.

I'd like to think that Hillary supporters would like to invest in healthcare, education, the economy and a renewed commitment to science rather than spend the money to fund more deaths of our heroic men and women in uniform by prolonging an unjust war and giving tax breaks to corporations. Now that is politics as usual.

Just so all you jokers know, Dean had nothing to do with FL and MI, he was merely responsible for enforcing the rules. The rules committee (see why they named it that?) did the FL and MI thing with the approval of Hillary and her campaign.

I always wondered why the DNC nor its chairman ever came to Clinton's defense, even when she was so horribly attacked by the "visiting priest". Well, now we find out that Dean is a great friend of Obama's, and Obama has seen that Dean will continue in his role as head of the DNC, even though he has done a terrible job.

Just like Bush, Obama is putting people in positions of leadership due to relationships instead of competence. This does not bode well for the future.

Obama's first executive decision is a mistake- he is keeping Howard Dean. A mistake on day two.
The DNC lead Howard Dean is responsible for the Michigan/Florida fiasco- the craziness of the primariy system and kept the useless super-delegates idea and then spent the last last 4 months saying candidates needed to drop out of the race for party unity.
This kind of reward sysytem sounds and feels a lot like the Bush appointee method.- All politics.

Adding Dean to his campaign?! Is this yet another example of good judgement? Dean is head case who couldn't hold a civil discussion with or about an opponent (including Hillary!) without resorting to name calling and shrieking antics. Obama just doesn't know what he's doing. The Republicans took away half of their delegates also. Look it up. There's no difference between the Democrats and Republicans when it comes to punishing your states.

It's truly amazing how nobody realizes that if it hadn't been for Hillary Clinton, Michigan and Florida would not have been permitted to be seated at the convention. When she began lobbying that these two states be seated, Barack Obama, shot it down. When the time came when BO needed their votes, he gave his consent, and his pal Howard Dean approved it, stealing four delegates from Hillary and giving them to Obama. But that's history now, and the Hillary trashing goes on. In the meantime, watch Obama continue to sing her praises because many people in the House and Senate are now saying that without her voters, he can't win.

Can we PLEASE get something straight here. Michigan and Florida caused their own problems. As a parent, if your child does something they were warned NOT TO DO but did it anyway, knowing and excepting the consequence, wouldn't you follow though with those consequences? The only thing Dean may have done wrong is not handling this issue better in the press. Oh and also I believe Obama had the votes to get MORE (50/50 split) delegates out of the Rules and Bylaws meeting but chose to give Hillary a few more. So please lets stop belly-aching about Michigan and Florida. It is DONE, we have our nominee. Now we need to decide as American's if we want to continue with the policies put in place by the Bush administration or if we want change. That is the choice we all have to make.

Obama supporters don't be put off by the so-called Clinton supporters saying they will vote McBush, not vote at all or will do a write in for Hillary. The overwhelming majority of them are the stealth Republicans that Bush Limpbaugh and Karl Rove have writing in to sway folks. It's the same tactics of Bush Limpbaugh and klarl Rove getting the radical right hate mongers to vote for Hillary so she would be the candidate that they really wanted McBush to face in November. They knew Hillary would unify and ignite their GOP supporters who hated her. Also, any Hillary supporters who want to fall for that crap and vote for the same GOP hate mongers and war mongers and who truly hated Hillary, well too bad. You won't change them as they have lost all reeason and I say good riddance. We need positive supporters willing to work for Obama and beat McBush. Get over yourselves! Dean didn't get Obama the nomination the voters did. Learn to do math and don't exclude the caucus states, since that would be hypocritical of the Clinton supporters and you will have Obama winning both delegate and popular vote count. Every time someone supports Obama you all come on here to make excuses that he promised this or that instead of the option that the person believes in Obama, heaven knows the majority of voters do. there are clearly a lot of ignorant and uneducated people out there if they think dean was responsible for the michigan/florida debacle. that was the rules committee's ruling and the states knew it before moving their primaries up. they did it to themselves and hillary was opposed to their delegates being seated until it was convenient for her to have them count. dean has done great things for the democrats and won them back both houses, now he will help win them the white house. this is a smart move by obama. clinton supporters: wake up, not everyone is out to get you. some of these comments sound paranoid and delusional.

I somewhat applaud the effort to clean your own house, but until this congress can fully agree (and trust me the loom of an all democrat government won't suede the other side to agree), I believe this is only allowing them to catch up and put more money and more attacks... the DNC is in dire need of cash and I'm, sure Sen.
