Gee Sandy, the post right about you indicates Obama supporters have outstretched hands for us to join him. You are the reason why many of us won't be joining. You are nasty, hateful people. Obama needs us and he won't be getting all of us. Clinton was very gracious with her speech. Obama was not; he went golfing. Very telling.

.
What do Clinton and McCain have in common... NOTHING!

Why would people be so dumb as to say they would support the complete oposite?

Anyone who is a Democrat would never support Bush/McCain

I'm just wondering if people are really that self centered?

Now that was a speech with substance not just about what is wrong with america and empty wishes for Hope. I think the DNC has done a wrong but all will get blamed on her when he looses in Nov. Good night and Good luck our party will need it in Nov. the true Dems didn,t just vote for nthe first time this year. we have been through this before. looking back if it wasnt for BO not being vented until after super tuesday. I really honestly think he would not have won

I'm afraid Hillary's speech today was not enough to make me feel "warm and fuzzy" towards her or belief in the sincerity of her words. She is the queen of manipulation, and I saw a few instances of that in a few things she said and didn't say in her speech today. Her actions and words will need to be closely watched going forward to be considered for the position of Obama's trustworthy VP.

HRC's speech was superb. Now it is time to move forward to elect Barack Obama. If Obama had lost I would have been just as disappointed and upset. I even considered staying home and not voting. However, the worst thing that her supporters can do is give John McCain any opportunity to keep the White House. I would have voted for HRC anyway so long as I know that we will not have four more years of Bush politics. Its time to grown up and do the right thing. Support Barack Obama.

CNN STOP SELECTING POST THAT PUSH YOUR AGENDA FOR RATINGS. POST ALL COMMENTS!!!!

As a professor, I would have given the speech a C- because she was still to focused on herself and her campaign. If she was not ready to give a sincere speech, then she should have just stayed home.

For those that were booing, they will be sobbing if McShame wins. They will be begging for mercy. It is amazing that so many can be so blinded by their selfishness and their emotions. McCain or Obama?? Don't let your nasty feelings ruin life for everyone else. Instead of throwing your vote away to McCain, just stay home

Unless Obama puts Hillary on the ticket as VP, my vote will go to McCain. I want someone with experience. If McCain puts Connie Rice or Colin Powell on the ticket as VP, he's sure to win.

Shame on Obama for playing golf as Hillary went on the record to support him. It shows his lack of respect to her and to the 18 million Democrats who voted for her. The Democrats made a grave mistake in selecting him as the Party's nominee and they deserve to lose. I do not want the people who ran the Democratic primaries running this country. Hillary was their only saving grace. The reason the Democrats keeping losing the Presidency is because they have so many stupid people running the party.

As an Independent with no political affiliation, I would have liked an opportunity to vote for Hillary as President, she truly was the best candidate. Now that I no longer have that option, the Republicans with McCain look better than the Democrats with Obama. The fact is...John McCain isn't George Bush, but Barack Obama is Barack Obama.

WELL..she did say that she endorses Obama and will work hard to get him elected.

However, I feel that she STILL talked about herself too much. It left an underlying message of how she felt that she is STILL the better choice for President.

It appeared that she felt that " this is a woman thing" and that is why she lost. WRONG !!!! I am a woman and I do not feel that way.

Bottom line...YES, she did endores Obama..BUT...it is still about ,"ME", Hillary Clinton.

Hopefully, in the days to come, she will HONESTLY accept the facts and really unite and work hard for Obama.

She did work hard, she is a fighter and NEVER gave up. I must give her credit for that. Here's hoping that she does the same for Obama.

THANK YOU Hillary !! I know how hard it must be for you. However, for the good of our country and ALL Americans ( including the 18 mil of your supporters) give your FULL support to Obama. THANKS !!

GO OBAMA...WE ALL SUPPORT YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not Tuesday when Obama official clinched it? On what legal grounds or basis did she think she was entitlted to continue the fight...
when Obama decisively won the required number of delegates?

I don't understand why she let herself get mired deep into debt or why she felt mathematically there was a chance for her to win...now she expects the DNC or Obama to pay her bills - when the writing was on the wall weeks ago that she was going to lose.

She fights for the country, for the democratic party. She was brilliant today. As an Obama supporter, I congratulate her for this step toward unity. The next big fight is against the war, poverty, inequality -- the republicans will not give you the answer.

Now, Senator Obama may have to make a similiar speech if Senator Clinton is on the ticket. There are an awful lot of his supporters who will be just as angry as hers. We need to come together, and I'm beginning to think an Obama/Clinton ticket may be what is needed to heal some of our wounds.

I'm sure that Senator Obama and Senator Clinton would work well together, and compromise where there are differences that exist between them.

Clintons speech was interresting, but not al that surprising.
Also, the things said about Obama playing golf is rediculous. He may already read the speech, and who knows if he didn't watched it there.
Clinton praised Obama for a speech that he didn't even gave, the Obama campaign has the decentcy to wait until the speech has been given.

But the message is Clinton speech is clear, very, very clear.
All clinton supporters, you voted democratic with a reason, you made History, yes voting for Clinton made as much history as voting for Obama. But now, the history making is over, and it is time to prepare America for the future, a bright, clean, rich future. Leaded by a Democratic, in this first instance Barack Obama (aided by Clinton, if I may add). Then in the Future maybe Clinton becomes president, we do not know.
So please supporters of Clinton, don't feel betrayed because the system didn't work for you. And then going to the enemy. Vote for Obama, because he is closer to Clinton then any one else. Voting for McCain only support the fact that you voted for Clinton, not about the issues but for the fact that she is a women.

The reason that she suspended her campaign rather than ending it is quite simple. As long as her campaign is suspended, she's still technically a nominee and can fundraise to pay off her debts. Plain and simple, no hidden agendas.

To Cathy in Illinois and others like her:

Please remember that your average 'supporter' that you see in Internet message boards and blogs does not represent the real Democrats that support one candidate or another - and this goes for both sides! Heck, half of them are probably Republicans or just forum trolls anyway, trying to cause dissent.

The vast majority of us simply thought that Obama would be the better candidate in the general, and have no disrespect or vitriol for Clinton. Please, listen to the words of the candidate you preferred and stand up for the Democratic Party in the fall, regardless of who you liked better in the primary. In the end, that's what matters. Every vote counts, including yours!

As an Obama supporter I congratulate Hillary Clinton on her campaign and admire her for starting to bring us together. I fully believe Obama will change this country for the better. In 2016 if Hillary runs I will vote for her. We must keep the republicans out of the white house.

Even now, you Hillary haters won't give up. What do you want her to do? Many of her supporters will never vote for Obama and the more you keep trashing her, the more will move over to McCain.
This is for the news media and hundreds of pundits that trashed talked Hillary for 17 months or more - DON'T now start speaking in glowin terms regarding Hillary.....it's too late. You can continue kissing up to Obama. We no longer listen to you, will be voting for McCain.

Hillary Clinton has remained selfish until the end. People are saying she was generous to Barack Obama but simply telling people to elect Barack doesn't equal generosity. She spent most of her time, as she usually does in her speeches, talking about herself and talking about being a woman. The amount of time she spent talking about being a woman just emphasizes the divide. I have never heard Barack constantly talking about being black. Barack never focuses on himself. He focuses on the people of America. I'm tired of political pundits who are too scared or illogical to just tell it how it is (at least on CNN). Everyone on CNN sugar-coats things, even when they're saying something negative. Roland Martin is one of the only ones I've seen who, on occasion, will just say it how it is without sugar-coating. Just tell it how it is. She wasn't generous. She was selfish, as usual!!! She kept the divide going with all the talk about being a woman!!!

And, for anyone reading this who is thinking that this must be written by a man or a non-white woman, you're wrong!!! I am a white woman who is 37 years old and I've been disgusted with Hillary's dishonorable, unethical, and illogical behavior throughout her campaign. The fact that so many people have supported her just emphasizes how messed up the world is because if you're supporting her, then you're basically saying that her dishonorable, unethical, and illogical behavior is acceptable. Thank God she didn't become the Democratic Nominee!!!

What a great lady. Superdelegates hope you were watching because this was the person to push over the line not Obama. He is weak and to day proved that so much more. Where was he, golfing. How cute. The democratic party has made a huge mistake. Good Luck in November you are really going to need it. If I were her I would not agree to the V.P. spot if offered. You people sold her down the river let your candidate win on his own. Very doubtful if he can. I doubt if her supporters will back him..

Sandy
Suspending her campaign is just a technicality, which will still allow her to raise money to pay off her debt. She has endorsed Obama, and its time to move forward. Lets just hope she backs it up with her actions. There is alot of damage to undo that only she can fix.

Hear is why she only "suspended" her campagine...

NEWS QUOTE "It also means she could reopen her campaign if circumstances change before the Denver convention, but gave no indication that was her intention." Of course that's her intention!

Hilary will stop at nothing for the nomination and is holding on to an 11th hour smoking gun dirty secret (is that so hard to believe?) on Obama she hopes will end his chances.

She and Bill are just waiting to play that card...you'll see!
Listen to Rush Limbaugh

So all you phony's, don't bother coming out now with your glowing remarks about how Hillary ran her campaign, or how brave she was etc. Because all you are doing is making yourself look bad, and making people like me even more angry.

Senator Clinton gave an excellent speech; I was touched deeply by it. I hope this mess about voting for McCain will end now. We cannot afford to give up on healthcare, ending the war in Iraq, the list goes on, and I am with Senator Clinton in her support for Obama. McCain is the wrong man; we do not need another four years of isolationism, war, high prices, foreclosures and division, time to bring this country together.

I keep reading the comments from all you Clinton supporters who keep claiming Clinton was treated unfairly, and you keep saying how nasty Obama supporters are. Well, I guess none of you have been really reading these blogs and reading the things Clinton supporters wrote about Obama and Obama supporters. Obamabots, Empty Suit, Mr. Speeches, on and on. Go through and read the stuff that was just posted today alone.

Hillary Clinton ran a nasty, untruthful, and spiteful campaign. Her supporters spread lie after lie - everything from Obama is a Muslim who was sworn in on the Koran to doctored pictures of Obama in Muslim garb, to planting a lie about Obama saying he would not stop NAFTA - something that was actually said by CLINTON!

So don't give me your hate for Obama. Look at yourselves and the hate, spite, and venom that came from your own candidate and your own campaign.

THAT's why Clinton lost. That, along with the Clintons long and detailed history of lies, scandals, and corruption. None of which is hard to find information about, even with the simplest internet search.

Here they go Sandy PA....she suspended her campaign so she can retire her campaign debt. What nasty stuff spews from your comments. You must be a very unhappy person. Im sorry 4 you.

I do not think John Kings comments about "Hillary auditioning for the Vice presidential seat" was appropriate either.

Where do people get off that Hillary Clinton owes the Democratic Party of Barack Obama ANYTHING? If she contributes her time to campaign for Barack Obama its because she is a good person. She owes you nothing Obama supporters...Nothing !!!

Where do people get off that Hillary Clinton owes the Democratic Party of Barack Obama ANYTHING? If she contributes her time to campaign for Barack Obama its because she is a good person. She owes you nothing Obama supporters...Nothing !!!

Cathy in Illinois, the only nasty comment I see on here is NOT from an Obama supporter and it is wrong to attack them now. Did you hear the speech at all? Sure, she had to give a speech, but no one forced Hillary to give THAT kind of speech. Those words were clearlyfromthe heart. Hillary supporters, and you Obama supporters too, must now work together. To paraphrase Hillary, don't waste time looking backwards! I am with David from Georgia. There is just too much at stake.

I wish Hillary had made the point in much stronger terms that what must be done is to defeat the republicans. I believe that the point must be made by Democrats that conservative notions and politics are wrong and have led us into economic depression, war, religious intolerance, and partisan intractability. These kinds of occurances are corrosive and must be addressed. She lost the race for the nomination, but she must back Barak Obama in leading America toward a new direction. Democrats must unite behind 'a new direction' for this country and get over the bitter feelings of Hillary's loss.

Thank you Glenn for making that point...I've been screaming that for a while. If Clinton supporters go to McCain and then hope they can come back in 2012 and win the presidency....It aint gone happen. Jus like you said there are 18 million striong behind both candidates! And the most important thing is... I wish people would stop protesting for Hillary to be VP. Has it every occured to some of you that she doesn't WANT to ve VP? Let both of them make their own choices....

Welcome to the Clinton supporters! Let's Get OUR country back!

No, Cathy, we have nothing but respect for the supporters and Clinton. We can continue finger pointing, and saying which camp was nastier or which supporters started it but that is not productive at all. Lets discuss issues. We cannot afford another republican presidency, no matter what some bonehead said under the pretense, be it false or true, of being an Obama supporter. Half the people on these boards are muckrakers simply trying to prolong the infighting between Obama and Clinton supporters to create an irreconcilable rift. Don't encourage the trend.

I am an Obama supporter and I must say I respect Senator Clinton for what she has done, however, for those of you not voting for Obama and still bitter about her not winning. You not voting at all is a vote for McCain, fine let's have another 4 years of unemployment, another 4 years of people going below the poverty level, another 4 years of warmongering, another 4 years of trillions of dollars spend on wars, another 4 years of failed foreign policy, another 4 years of increased hatred towards America. Thanks to the republican party this country is in horrible shape and a future for our children seems as dark as ever before.

OBAMA is the only person among in this terrible economic and social situation that gives me HOPE that a better future could be near and that he truly CARES about the american people.

I'm yet to figure out and get an explanation on why some democrats and Hillary supporters dislike him so much and I can't believe you would not vote or vote republican after what this government has done for us over the past 8 years.

I have suspend my campaign! Wow big deal! Where is the I now Direct my delegates to support our next president and winner of the democratic primary "Barack Obama" . This is still the "Games People Play" or same old politics. I guess Senator Clinton Just doesn't get it, "Change We Can Count ON".

I'll take my 18 million voters and hold you hostage, because I am greater than the democatic party. Yes despite I said you can't handle the job and I'm more electable than you and America showed me different, Bill and I know what's best and will show you one way or another.

Did I mention you had better run every idea and news release by us until we decide we can't hurt you anymore. Now about this Co-Presidency I proposed, this is the new face of the election process when it ends this close. Wait until you tell America this was your idea and Mc Cain will just go to his retirement home in peace.

P.S. Don't forget what we agreed on about that campaign money, $20 million plus 18%.
