From
Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe
Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Hillary Clinton will take a vacation from the campaign trail next week, her chairman Terry McAuliffe told CNN Saturday. McAuliffe, however, wouldn't disclose the location.

"Next week, she and the family need to take a little time off. We all need to take a little break. Get ourselves energized and come back out campaigning. But I'm not giving away Hillary Clinton's vacation plans," McAuliffe told CNN's Wolf Blitzer and John King. He joked: "The press just asked me where we're going, and I said 'Disneyland, where else?' I want to go to the Magic Kingdom with Hillary."

In an interview with CNN's John King following Clinton's endorsement speech of Obama, McAuliffe addressed a possible Obama-Clinton ticket as well as the secret meeting that occurred between the two Senators Thursday night.

"I think Hillary would be a spectacular addition to the ticket. I think a lot of us do, but it's up to Senator Obama," he said. "No matter what her role is, she will be as active as she's ever been to help the Democrats win."

Asked whether the private meeting addressed the party ticket or Clinton's looming campaign debt, McAuliffe said, "I don't think it got into any of the specifics. I think it was a good get together for them to talk. We haven't talked about any specific issues. You know, we'll take care of the debt. I've been helping the Clintons with debt for a long time."

Wise White Guy   June 7th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Stacy, which is it, are you a racist, absolutely no grasp on reality and the issues or are you are a poser Republican. If you are indeed a Hillary supporter you were only doing it becasue she was a woman and that is sad. Obama and Clinton are so close on the issues there is no difference. Either way, do what your going to do in November, we don't care to hear you spouting ignorance anymore. You people kill me. You supposedly think that every word that woman speaks is gods word but when she tells you she is supporting Obama and asks you to do it THAT YOU IGNORE! I say fine but if you are not going to follow her now then just go away altogether.

Linda   June 7th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

Absolutely agree with Stacy : June 7th, 2008 4:49 pm ET
fabulous speech by a fabulous woman…

Wise White Guy   June 7th, 2008 6:32 pm ET

Terry you have been in the magic fantasy world all the way through Tuesday when you announced Hillary as the next President.

What if?   June 7th, 2008 6:32 pm ET

Clinton supporters, because of your excuses and prejudice decision, we will have to suffer another 4 years of McBush. Some of you say we will teach the DNC or Obama a lesson, how because 1. All of them can afford gas no matter how much it is, we suffer. 2. They all make enough money to survive any type of bad economy challenges, we suffer. 3. They all still have jobs to go to on a daily basis, we suffer.

The only lesson you will be teaching anyone is that you are a selfish American citizen, that was to busy trying to prove a useless point that caused a lot of us to suffer over again because you cared nothing about us, the voters who are willing to lay down our pride and do what’s best for our selves and others who struggle as we are.

Anonymous   June 7th, 2008 6:30 pm ET

Hillary needs to ditch her whole team! They didn't even understand the rules. They have been in the political business for years, right? Her campaign managers hurt her campaign and her. That's disgusting! Hell she could have won this thing FAIR and SQUARE and early if she had a better quality of people on her team. If there were any lessons learned, take them and do things different next time and PLEEZ next time get better people in your camp.

What if?   June 7th, 2008 6:29 pm ET

I can’t wait to see what you all who judge everything Obama’s say’s and does, have to say about Senator Clinton taking a vacation. Those of you who had a problem with Senator Obama going to play golf, if you stop trying to find every reason known to judge him, you may have seen where he did watch her speech and he also called to speak with her, but she wasn’t available.

I am getting tired of you voters who think it's all about you and not about ALL of US. Who give you the right to judge everything Obama does, he shouldn‘t have to answer to you, you never had a president answer to you before. We the voters who has suffered the most, are ready to do what we need to do to make him our president, especially not another 4yrs of McBush 3. We considered ourselves as true democrats, because when we vote, we will be thinking of OTHERS, not just OURSELVES.

Proud American   June 7th, 2008 6:28 pm ET

Be careful of the wolfs in sheeps clothing in here. There are obvious Republicans posing as Democrats.
Go Dems!!!!

We don't care where you go, Terry. Just go. And take your booze with you.

John, London   June 7th, 2008 6:24 pm ET

This man Terry McAuliffe is the most useless campaign manager I have ever seen. What a hell. It surprise me that those so called Clinton supporters should be pouring their anger and dissappointment at Obama, while the biggest culprit responsible for Clinton's failur is alloqwed to go free. This man comes as useless as they come. I wonder how the Clintons with all their experience in the politics circle could end up with such an inept campaign manager. He's so useless I can even hire him to clear my garden of its rubbish.
For crying out loud, you are running a Democratic Party nomination and yet you have no plan for the caucus states. What the heck was he thinking about? In my opinion, he independently sabotage the Clintons campaign and needed to be sued. Rubbish.

Mike   June 7th, 2008 6:23 pm ET

I will NEVER vote for Obama!

Obama is not qualified, and Michelle is NO "First Lady."

ming   June 7th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

Obama supporter should be show respect to Hillary. I saw some comment said not nice to her and her family. If you did not know what she have done good for this country go back to red her story. Do not forget her husband. He made well economic when he was as a Precident. What else you want Obama's supporter? Young and new? How do you know what change it is going to be. You have never seen his job??? good luck America for new change.

Clinton Supporter   June 7th, 2008 6:14 pm ET

I supported Clinton since she made her annoucement to run for President of the United States. I've stood through her good times and her bad times but I never once gave up on her. I was disappointed that she didn't win the nomination and I did say I was going to vote for McCain in November but after seeing and hearing speak the same night Obama won the nomination…I quickly change my mind. McCain did not impress me at all. Then I remember that Hillary reminded me that no matter what happens that we should stand strong in defending our DEMS party and what we are fighting for.

She has been a wonderful person and a strong advocate for women abroad. She has done an honorable speech today. She and Obama are similar in wanted to change our government policies and work hard for the people. I will stand behind Clinton and Obama to make sure we get that chance to take back our government.

Any HRC supporter out there who feel animosity, don't. It's not what I leader HIllary wants us to do. She said it. Let's give her our support. It's time to get behind our Dems party Leader and the Republicans that we are fighting for Hillary sake.

Hillary/Obama

NinaK   June 7th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

I woud strongly suggest that people stop bashing Hilliary and Senator Obama. The nomination race is over and everyone needs to accept the fact the Senator Obama won fair and square. They both worked very hard. Please remember whenever there is a race, at the end there is only one winner. Same thing with sports and any other games, only one team is the winner. Take a look at the Olympics as well, only one competitor gets the gold. So, we need to get over our anger and stop the arguing, the race is OVER!! Let's get behind our nominee and help him win the election. I really do not believe true democrats want to support Senator McCain and four more years of like-Bush policies. We want to bring our troops home, that will not happen with McCain. May God bless America and its people as we move forward.

GRP   June 7th, 2008 6:10 pm ET

CNN still shows 2158 superdelegates for Obama, unchanged for the past three days. Now that Clinton has endorsed Obama, won't many of her superdelgates be changing sides? Or is CNN just late in posting the latest superdelegate split? Confused.

Farrell, Houston, Tx   June 7th, 2008 6:06 pm ET

PEOPLE, STOP MAKING UNWARRANTED THREATS. TAKE SOME TIME OFF LIKE OBAMA AND HILLARY TO GATHER YOUR THOUGHT PROCESSES AND IF YOU PRAY, SPEND SOME TIME IN PRAYER.

ellen   June 7th, 2008 6:04 pm ET

Everyone that heard that speech today knows without a doubt that she
was the best candidate! Now we're left with the weakest choice. I can not vote for someone like Obama. My vote will now go to McCain. He
has always been a straight talker. I trust him but I do not trust Obama.
Obama is a smart politician that knows what the voters want to her. He
based his whole campagn on getting that message out. However,
when you dig into his records and study his speeches is is clear that
he is playing a role to win. Period. His talk does not match what he has
done in the past! He is super ambitious and will do anything to win. Go
check his records on how he won his senate seat. He plays dirty.

Sabrina   June 7th, 2008 6:01 pm ET

I love Hillary but could never vote for someone with so little experience and someone that used reverse racism. This is about values and principals and the media and DNC have none. Hillary has to do what she has to do to stay in politics. If she is not on the ticket with Obama my vote will go to McCain and she can run in 2012. If she wait till 2016 they will say she is to old. No to Obama . I was a Dem.

No McSame   June 7th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Dems. to the rescue. America will take her place in the world in January. Obama, Clinton and the rest of the Democratic party will lead us once again to the place where she should be and that is at the top.
Don't listen to the REPO trolls that are on here because we are coming to take our country back.

Hail Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not vote for Mr. Hype. Rather, I will be writing Clinton's name on the November ballot and the rest of her 18 million supporters who do not want Obama should do the same. Yep, it's still possible to get to the Magic Kingdom. WRITE HER IN TO WIN

Betty   June 7th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Hillary supporters, it is not how Hillary is treated any longer. You need to be worried about how you will be treated if you vote for McCain.
Please understand that you are not the majority of women and you too will get over it. Hillary has had her day in the sun and now its over. She shouldn't have had that, but she got it. Mean while the world continued and now we are moving forward.
But all you Hillary supporters remember she is still in debt and she needs your help. Please go to her site and donate.

The RETHUGS want this!   June 7th, 2008 5:42 pm ET

I urge everyone to NOT believe everything they read on these boards. The LAST thing the rethugs want is for the Dems to become united…because McSame cruises into the white house if they do. So what do they do? They come to message boards like these and pretend to be a clinton supporter who will "NEVER" vote for obama and vice versa…an obama supporter who is mean and negative. Most of us understand that this election will be a turning point. I am a female hillary supporter but cannot afford to have my son sent to war because I voted for an idiot like Mccain because I am mad at the democratic party. NOT Barack obama…but the DNC. That makes no sense. I cannot deny my vote to one man because I am mad at the media. I will be one HRC supporter who will not doom my country to 4 more years of craziness because of this. VOTE BARACK OBAMA!!!! Ladies, JOIN ME!

CB   June 7th, 2008 5:41 pm ET

Obama did listen to the speech live on over the internet. Give the man a break would ya? They both have been working non-stop for weeks on end and deserve some much needed R & R.

Also, "kara" or whoever you really are (Republican poser), you keep posting this:

"With or without Hillary on the ticket as VP, I will NEVER vote for Obama. I can not support a man who has little or no experience to validate being the leader of the most powerful country in the world. It would be like putting the mailroom clerk in the CEO position of a major corporation. "

If you are really who you say you are - posing as a democrat - why do you keep changing your name every time you post this message all over the place?????????

CNN Post this - its important for people to have proof that there are republicans posing as democrats to keep us fighting!

True Independant Voter   June 7th, 2008 5:40 pm ET

Soldiergal - you hit it on the nail… I for one am an indepentant and I plan on voting for Obama in the fall… It is not good for America to have another Bush term….

But, I will say that if people choose to vote for McCain just out of spite - go ahead… I 4 one, will not be hurt by that move (Thank you Jesus!!!)… I nor anyone close to me has to serve in a senseless war, I can afford to pay the raising cost of gas and food and have a job that isn't impacted by the economy… so, fine, vote for McCain - I for one am enjoying the decreased traffic, decreasing prices for designer clothes/purses, fine jewlery, and vacation homes and the smaller crowds in stores….

Sunburn   June 7th, 2008 5:36 pm ET

Clinton supporters, stop whining and crying about how you were mistreated and hurt during the primaries! You did just as much hate-mongering on your side! It's time to "settle down" and unite as one Democratic party and get our guy elected. Listen to Hillary and her message before you go "sour grapes" on yourself.

Susan   June 7th, 2008 5:36 pm ET

We all need to take some time off. It is hard to expect Hillary's staunch supporters to turn around on a dime and support her opponent's campaign. It has been an emotional investment of time and energy and hopes and dreams. And we have seen our candidate suffer hatred and racism and sexism from Obama's supporters and from the media.
So I for one will now take my time to check out the other options, and determine who if anyone I will vote for in the general election.
I applaud Hillary for her generous and inspiring speech today, and hope that the Democratic Party gives her the respect she has earned for all her hard work over the years for Democratic issues and causes. Whether Hillary's supporters now back Obama will depend for the most part on how he reaches out to her, and what degree of respect is shown her. There are lots of fences to mend, and only time will tell how successful he will be.

Obama Supporter   June 7th, 2008 5:35 pm ET

Staunch Clinton Supporter,

YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR ALL CLINTON SUPPORTERS. 60% OF THEM POLLED WILL VOTE FOR OBAMA. THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT'S AT STAKE IN THE ELECTION. IF YOU TRULY SUPPORTED HILLARY ON THE ISSUES, THEN HOW CAN YOU NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA. THOSE OF US WHO VOTE FOR THE CAUSE AND NOT GENDER OR RACE, WOULD NEVER GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS NONSENSE. YOU CHOOSE THE PERSON RUNNING WHO MOST CLOSELY FAVOR THE ISSUES THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU. AND FOR ME… THAT'S OBAMA.

Democrats need to unite to beat another 4 years of Republican rule.

Daniel   June 7th, 2008 5:23 pm ET

Yes. You can take rest now. I will vote for John McCain.
Barack does not served to be president of our country. He is tricky and he thinks that he can get away with anything. Vote John McCain.

Ivy10_99   June 7th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

I can only imagine that as a STRONG Obama supporter, I would probably feel the same way had Clinton won the nomination. You all keep talking about the 18 million that voted for her, what about the 18 million that voted against her? Do we even matter at all to you. And please stop saying the African American vote. I voted for Obama and will do so in the fall as well as all of my family. It's time to let go of the race issue. Although, most of you are not voting for Obama because you will not support a black candidate and you know that….. I pray that at some point, we will be able to move forward from this situation and I think HRC set a bad example for her supporters to follow.

Phyllis   June 7th, 2008 5:15 pm ET

The way he ran that campaign, he'll be going somewhere else, but not the Magic Kingdom. He's just as wacky as Hillary. I will never forget that stupid introduction on the night that Barack made history. Well the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, she ran a dirty campaign and her supporters are low life.

I'm done. She gave the best concession speech a selfish person could give. It was mostly about her, but she did it, and it's over.

Oh, and did you notice that she and Bill and Chelsea wore black. Was it supposed to be a funeral?

J Williamson   June 7th, 2008 5:11 pm ET

Thanks Darlin, I was one of those 18,000,000 who voted for you. I'm not totally sold on Barack, but people were so focused on "different" that he was the pick in the end though, I think, you were the different person we needed all along. I will likely vote for Barack, though just with one hand - the other will be firmly holding my nose. (No joke! God Bless!)

Brenda   June 7th, 2008 5:10 pm ET

Well believe it or not but just try to remember this. Obama against, Bill ,Hillary ,Chelsea, and Mcswan…. 3 from his own party at the same time, and he was always respectfull for all the Clinton's.. People need to realize that on Tuesday, it was a flood of superdelegates that gave Obama the win. This was a 30 minute speech, you had to have given time to Hillary to prepare for this so that it would come out in a way like this. If she had conceded on Tuesday, it would not be as graceful and touching as today's.

PanosY   June 7th, 2008 5:04 pm ET

I am and have always been a huge supporter of Hillary. I am british and have watched the primary process with an enthusiasm that at sometimes bordered obsession. It is not just the thought that the next President of the United State will impact us all but a deeper lying admiration for Sen. Clinton. Having just watched Sen. Clinton's endorsement of Sen. Obama I am left with a feeling of fear as we in Britain have just lived through a decade of Tony Blair. The reason I mention this is that the parallels between these two young uniters who talk of reaching out across party politics is astonishing. I know it is too late to even speak of warning Americans of the danger of electing Obama as President, so I write this for the 18 million wise enough to know the folly of his candidacy and brace myself to begin witnessing the hubris of a young man preoccupied with taking his place in history as opposed to solving America's problems.
I also want to ask why Sen. Obama is not refered to as the first MIXED RACE nominee?! why is he alsways refered to as an african american and not as a mixed race candidate - he is as white as he is black! Is in not disrespectful to disregard the ethnicity of his mother? But, apparently, as this campaign has shown mothers make great mothers, wives and daughters - not commanders-in-cheif.

Franklin   June 7th, 2008 5:03 pm ET

No one candidate is larger than the party. Period. If you support McCain because you are angry that Obama won the nomination then you are a fool voting against your interests and deserve any hardships that come your way as a result. Obama has been gracious time and time again even when not receiving the same courtesy and he is supposed to now bend over backwards for a bunch of angry Clinton supporters who would rather act like petulant 3 year olds than vote to end this war and restore our economy? I'm hoping most people are simply not so stupid as to cast 'Tantrum' votes and use their god given brains to do what's right for this country. If Hillary were meant to be president she would have captured more delegates. She didn't and lost. It's how the process works. Someone had to lose. Just because it was your candidate, does not mean the problems we face in this country are any less dire or perhaps you'd like to explain to the next mother who's child comes home in a box from Iraq why you chose to vote for McCain and thus extend this war. I'm sure her hearing that you were upset because Hillary didn't win will give her great comfort.

terri   June 7th, 2008 5:03 pm ET

Please… People are mad now because Obama was Golfing during her speech …. He Gave her her moment people, He gave her a chance to say what she needed to say without stepping on her toes. Take it down and show the true unity. Doing things like this is why she should have had a better, more adept campaign manager. You truly did this woman a disservice.

Nick - Arlington, VA   June 7th, 2008 4:39 pm ET

Hillary is backing Obama, quite whole heartedly, and supporters of hers are still on here raving hateful comments….its not about the person, but the ideas of the party - they share those ideas - and thinking you can just vote for mccain because you didn't get your way is horribly self centered and selfish…Hillary will be out there campaigning for Barack as hard as she can and all democrats should unite behind her….stop being so spiteful.

And contributed more to local charities than you will ever know. He's a brilliant strategist and a plain old good guy, and so is the rest of the McAuliffe family.

Who can win against CNN's sexist biased coverage? Not even Terry, who would lay down his life for America. He'll work harder for Obama than anyone else because he is first and foremost a Democrat. I don't vote for racists or sexists, so I won't be able to help out.

joanne   June 7th, 2008 4:32 pm ET

staunch Clinton supporter: how blind and stupid are you???!!! this is not about Clinton supporters anymore in case you missed that point……..it's about the White House! in a way folks like you deserve a third term of Bush crap…..so go ahead and vote for McCain and then see what happens to you…..whatever that is, it won't be good!!!!!!!!!

Virginia Voter   June 7th, 2008 4:30 pm ET

If the Clinton and Obama folks truly unite, our nation will return to the greatness we had seven years ago. If Obama goes it alone, then it will be Hilary defeating McCain in 2012, and the Junior Senator from Illinois will be a footnote of history. Here in Virginia we are posed to have two Democratic Senators (Webb and Warner) and a Democratic victory in the largest Congressional district (landwise) when Tom Perriello defeats Virgil Goode in VA-5. Senator Obama needs to cling tight to these rising stars, along with Senator Clinton, and take the United States back for the people.

Glad to be an Independent   June 7th, 2008 4:28 pm ET

Obama watched her speech on his computer. Therefore, the fact that Obama went to play golf is a non-issue. He did the respectful that and got out her way today so today would be Hillary's day. Allot of people sound like little babies. WHAAA! My candidate did not win! WHAAA! I going to support McCAin! WHAAAAA! Either Hillary s Obama's VP choice or I won't support him. WHAAAA! Everybody is sexist ( Hard to argue when she got almost 18 million votes) WHAAA! if Obama choses Hillary as VP, I will not vote or I will support McCain! WHAAAAA! I have one question. WHEN WILL MANY OF YOU, Hillary and Obama supoorters GROW UP? Many of you should go to the Majic Kingdom, too. Maybe, you will stop acting like BABIES. and cheer up. Just reading many of posts it is clear to me: NO YOU CAN'T!!!!!

Tasha Houston, TX   June 7th, 2008 4:25 pm ET

To Clinton & Obama supporters:

Do as Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton….take a break, take a vacation, get off the blogs and have fun with your families. Follow their leadership and take a break. You all deserve it!!!!

JfromNC   June 7th, 2008 4:25 pm ET

He wasn't plying golf during the speech. This was just pure, unfounded speculation by CNN to cause trouble. They have corrected that story, but of course they also closed the comments!

MS   June 7th, 2008 4:23 pm ET

As a republican, I have come to understand the reason the democratic party performs so poorly. The dems are poorly organized. They do not pay attention to detail, so that when they lose, its not hard to understand their grief. 18 million people claim to support Senator clinton, yet for a $ 1 each, she would not have any debt.
18 million claim to vote for clinton, yet she still loses the nomination.

hey 18 million, I have news for you. 18 million is not even 6 % of the country's population. so just remember out of 310 million people, 292 people did not support clinton. perhaps if ya'll remembered this, you will be able to sleep a little better knowing her demise was inevitable.

Tom   June 7th, 2008 4:22 pm ET

make sure you use that little kid's Disney money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How dumb is this guy to say that!!!!!!!!!!!!

jd   June 7th, 2008 4:21 pm ET

McAufiffe- He was her undoing! Ran a terrible campaign. Will Vote for Obama. His Campaign was Solid and Intelligently orchestrated.

Franky   June 7th, 2008 4:18 pm ET

I gotta say, it didn't went all that bad today. I think her speech was good today. Gotta giver her props and we'll see what happens in the next week or so….

And by the way guys, tell Senator McCain if he wants his "soldiers"(Reps) to get pumped up, he's gonna have to give up the cash baby! LOL!!!!

Bust out the drinks guys! Bust them out, LOL!!

aware   June 7th, 2008 4:16 pm ET

Enjoy yourself Hillary! :)

It is not over until it is over, and it is a long time until the convention!

Many disillusioned Democrats, like me, have already switched to the more centrist McCain. The Democratic Party is not in touch with Mainstream America. Hillary was their only hope for a return to the White House. Maybe they really are more concerned about securing a filibuster proof Congress?

Hillary Clinton has spoken, and it is now very obvious that the Democratic Party has selected the weaker presidential candidate! This primary race has revealed the underbelly of the now very left-wing Democratic Party and the left-wing media. :(

Only Hillary Clinton can bring healing, hope and balance to this skewed party and its extreme left-wing presumptive nominee.

I support Hillary Clinton all the way but Barack Obama lacks the trust, the gravitas and the character to be president of the United States of America.

Could a Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton ticket add some of the missing elements to the flawed Barack Obama?

Mr. Obama is under the microscope and he has a great deal of work to do! Golf anyone?

kent   June 7th, 2008 4:14 pm ET

Barack was gracious enough to meet privately with Clinton prior to her speech. Surely he knew what was coming. Who can blame either of them for a game of gold or a holiday in Disneyland? Relax from a moment America.

ginger   June 7th, 2008 4:14 pm ET

Clinton supporters that is if you really are then I encourage you to visit her website and click on issues. I did and bet you won't see anything that resembles Sen McCains issues.

I'm beginning to agree with Timothy that these angry posts and die-hard I'm gonna vote McCain responses are from Rebulicians.

No intelliegent, wise thinking person would EVER go against Hillary and vote McCain. This would be a big slap in the face to Hillary.

UNITY   June 7th, 2008 4:13 pm ET

A well deserved break. You fought a good fight. Rest up and help lead the democrat battle to the White House.

kent   June 7th, 2008 4:10 pm ET

Sometime time ago the word 'bitter' was used to decribe a segment of American voters. In reading the comments on the campaign events I have the sense that this word still has some appropriate application. There is root of bitterness that needs to be uprooted, cast into the fire and burned. The tree of unity cannnot sprout and grow from the root of bitterness.

MS   June 7th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

Senator Clinton has now discovered her purpose. As Presidential Obama mentioned, she is a great servant, who deserves a vacation.

The campaign will be rigorous, and she'll be needed for her party's task which is to secure the victory of Obama. Anything short of this and she will be to blame

Viva Obama 08   June 7th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

A Vote for Barrack Obama is a vote for Hillary Clinton because they support the same cause.
A vote for John McCain is a vote for a George Bush third term more wars, bad economy and more country will not want to deal with our country. If you were really a true Hillary suppoter that want a better America for this generation and the future generation you must vote Democratic this November. Please do yourself a good favor and vote for the Democratic nominee this coming November.
No hard feeling because Hillary has none against Barrack. We must put the Republican out of the white house.
As you can see, we are in a big reccession and that will get worse with a John McCain.

Janet WV for Obama/Clinton   June 7th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

United we stand and divided we fall, and if our backs should ever be against the wall, we'll be together, together, you and I.

Susan   June 7th, 2008 4:02 pm ET

I am greatful for Hillary's sppech today. She was supurb in all aspects. I realiza how hard this was for her, and understand the need for time off. I am looking forward to her continual endorsement and support of Obama. We will glady wait for her to relax and then hit the road so the Dems can win in November. On the other hand, she should leave McAuliffe, Wolfson and Ickes at home. She has earned my respect, and I salute her!

STAUNCH CLINTON SUPPORTER   June 7th, 2008 4:00 pm ET

We H.R. Clinton supporters will be watching Obama and how Senator

Clinton is treated, what part she will play in the Democratic Party.

IF Senator Clinton is happy then we may vote for Obama, if she is not

happy, we the silent majority of women will have our voices heard

loud and clear come the November General Election. Have no Fear

about that!

indy dem   June 7th, 2008 3:59 pm ET

She should take him to Disney World leave there. Feed him to the alligators.

Laura Kate Baker   June 7th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

I am grateful that Ms. Clinton gave such a good speech. This election is very, very important. I hope after some time of thought and reflection, Ms. Clinton supporters will take the time to research Obama's position on the issues that are important to them and come to the conclusion that Obama is the best candidate for President.

Both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton deserve to take a breather/vacation and then we can come out swinging, united, against McCain for the White House.

I wish the media would stop speculating about Ms. Clinton being on the ticket and give Senator Obama the respect and space he needs to make a well informed and well thought out decision. It is inappropriate to keep discussing/pressuring him on this point.

Pepou   June 7th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

McAufliffe is a clown who did not help Hillary during her campaign. Go to the Magic Kingdom indeed and don't come back.

Clinton Supporter   June 7th, 2008 3:56 pm ET

A gracious and honorable end to a fabulous candidacy by the most talented, caring woman in America. Obama is a fool if he doesn't ask you to be VP, but I hope you don't take it. I want to see you WIN your next election! I don't think BO has what it takes, and playing golf through your speech does nothing for his image with women.

Come back to New York, where you won a second term with 70% of the vote. We love you. You are the BEST. And we want you to represent the great state of New York for years to come!

We'll let you leave again to run for President in 2012, though! I believe you'll be running against McCain's bid for a second term. And you'll have to resist saying, "I told you so."

Brenda   June 7th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

If I was her, I won't you let come with me… You mismatched this campain because you are not good at all.. With a manager like you, it was a miserable campain like that thanks but no thanks sir..

No, Hillary, No   June 7th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

Don't be #2 for anyone! You are — and always will be — NUMBER ONE!

Don't iron his shirt - go back to the Senate, where you can continue to make a REAL difference.

Please, please! Give Senator Obama the well-deserved opportunity to fall on his face all by himself!

FrankSmith   June 7th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

All these should have been OVER by Tuesday. Hillary was pushed to make this move.

I DID NOT, and will NOT watch Hillary's speech. This primary was about the PARTY, not an almighty Queen. If Hillary supporters love her more than they love the DEM party, let them NOT vote for Obama as he REPRESENTS the DEM party. It is that simple! I want change, not coronation!

Timothyt   June 7th, 2008 3:47 pm ET

DEMS UNITE! Do not allow the media and the republicans posing as angry Clinton supporters divide us. They trying to manipulate their way into a victory. Not This Time!!!!
