Seems like the latest "Sore Losers" tactics is to "Write-in" Hilllary's name as a way to indirectly have McCain win. I question whether these people are really true Democrats and Hillary supporters or Republicans, posing as Democrats, continuously stoking the fire's of discontent.

However, if you are a Democrat and have firmly made up your mind that you will be voting for McCain, directly or indirectly, then the first thing you should do is to write yourself a letter. Yes, a letter, a good old-fashion postage type US Post Office variety, and list in it ALL the Great reasons why you gave your vote to the Republican candidate. Now you have to be honest and include the REAL reason why you did. Next, make 10 copies of it and mail them to yourself the day Before or On Election Day. When the letters arrive leave them sealed and place them in a place where you can see them, but not be in the way.

You're asking yourself, "Why a letter?" Well, should McCain win and then you begin to complain as to why big corporations are being given more tax breaks, why the war in Iraq is still going, why the rich keep getting richer, why we keep losing more and more rights each day, why the Supreme Court is so tilted to the right, etc, etc. and how he can continue to keep Bush's policies alive during bad times.

Well, what I can tell you is that YOU can find solace by going over to that stack of unopened letters that you sent yourself a couple of months ago. The reasons and answers to your outrage are there and they were written by you.

I don't know if any other readers have noticed, but it is very easy to tell which post come from conservative/republican voters.

Just read the post.

If it is a bunch of emotional ranting and raving, then it is from a conservative/republican. They are so used to ranting and raving on talk radio, that they can't help but continue it here as well.

I don't know if Obama will make a good President or not. But I do know that he can't do any worse than the current President.

Obama wins the primary battle and might win the election battle. One CHANGE I can guarantee will come is that the democratic party will eventually lose the political war. How you ask, cause millions like myself will eventually leave the party. The DNC simply abandoned and thrashed the Clintons just out of fear of insulting black democrats. Obama is a one time freak, 4 maybe 8 years. Do Democrats really expect blacks to show this same enthusiasm and this same level of support for future democratic candidates. I dont think that blacks will donate time and money for a spanish or white candidate in the future. The DNC will lose its white base, yep you won this time but you lost millions like me forever.

As a lifelong Democrat and Hillary supporter, I would like to be able to support Barack Obama, but his highly enthusiastic support from the radical left has me very NERVOUS; much in the same way Bush made me nervous with his support from the far right.
Presidents who have close ties to radicals have disasterous presidencies- our current Commander in Chief-to be sure. DECEIVING Congress into an Unnecessary War????

We have to have a President with a Cool Head who can handle and govern over all the diverse elements of our Society.

Barack has a ways to go to convince me he has this quality; and he needs to convince a good portion of 18 million if he wants to win in November.
I do have to agree with Rima though. The idea of a fervent OBAMA supporter who will vote for McCain if he brings HRC on the ticket is positively hilarious. They are either clueless about political issues or have major personal ones.

Obama will not stand by and let McSame send our kids off to die in Iraq. No Way. Nor will he allow McSame to give us four more years of Bush. No Way.
Those of you that are planning to vote for this war monger and really want to show your support for McSame JOIN THE ARMY. Many of you are no help anyway because you supported Hillary in MOUTH only but did not send her a dime to help her out. Don't hate on Obama because we supported him with our time and our MONEY. YOU LOST IT FOR HER. Our money was well spent.

I was so angry when Hillary didn't win and I like many others threatened to vote for McCain. Now that I'm starting to settle down, I'm realizing how immature I was being. I'm a Democrat and will support Obama because he shares my values.

I would like to apologize to Obama supporters for acting like a spoiled brat in some of my earlier comments.

Now let's go get us the White House!!

As a woman, I identify with the anger and frustration of others who feel cheated of our chance to finally have a female Commander in Chief. We make up more than half the population and yet are ridiculously under represented in our government.
That being said, as a woman and a mother, in November I need to vote for someone who is going to represent my best interests and issues that are important to me. I need someone fighting for healthcare and education and I need someone who is going to appoint sensible Supreme Court Justices, who will have a tremendous impact on my children's futures with their rulings. (And I'm not just talking about Roe v. Wade, There are a lot of other issues that can directly impact our lives!)
Really, what it comes down to to me is, who is going to stand for the issues that are important to me in the White House? I need a Democrat to win this election in the fall. My family and I can't afford another four or eight years of Republicans.

Obama vs Mccain on the Iraq war is like the difference between a doctor that makes an accurate diagnosis of an illness( prescibing medication) and one that made the wrong diagnosis; commits the patient to a costly operaton that causes him unnecessary pain and hardship; but insists he can do a better job of closing.

I would rather not having the operation in the first place but if I did, I have it would trust the judgement of the doctor who had counselled against it, to close.

The blogs are insane. Take the first one. Do you guys realize as women if you vote for Mccain there will be seets open on the supreme court that will hurt the women's right to choose all because of racism.
Barack never once disrepected Hillary. What has he done really to disrespect the Hillary camp??????? You can make up reasons, but did he really. Mccain is Bush nad if you are a woman and you vote against Barack and for Mccain. I would have to call you insane. I said I would never vote for Hillary because she has been devisive, but if you look at Mccain and what he will do to our Country, I had to take a second look.

To all those who are always screaming about Obama 'not having having no experience' (Their bad grammar, not mine), I would suggest you read up on that other 'inexperienced man from Illinois' did when he became President. His name was Abraham Lincoln and he had even less experience than Senator Obama. But like Obama, he was an intelligent man with a true love of his country and a conscience.

MISSING ETHICS AND MORALS IN SOME DEMOCRATS!

Even though I live so far from the US here in Brazil I don't need to leave to know what is happening there. The globalized market and economy is very much dependent on the good functioning of the US economy.
We all want a democrat to win in the November elections with the hopeful outcome of improving the US economy. We are concerned about the divisions in the Democratic Party for such trivial reasons and the apparent absence of ethics and morals of some voters.
Now is not the time for petty differences and prejudice which cause such division... Now is the time for the party to unite! Each one of you needs to let go of the ego, fanatism and preconceptions turning and to support the democratic candidate Barack Obama.
Obama is a good candidate, intelligent, well educated and well prepared to be president in any country of the planet. He has great ideas and projects being some of them similar with the Hillary program. And still he has a good team and support of excellent democrat politicians to work and help US.
It is very sad ethically and morally that some who supported Hillary in the primary say that they won't support Obama should he become nominated. This will, later on, prove to be a grave error. It has been eight years of the nonsense and absurdity of the Bush presidency only to see the image of the USA declining into negativity.
I think that these people that say “We will vote for McCain”, they cannot criticize George W. Bush for lying, disrespecting the Constitution and disrespecting the determinations of the ONU when he began the immoral and illegal Iraq war.
These people are having a children's behavior and being bad example of democrats for all us that truly love the liberal democracy. What type of democrats are you? Terrorists or blackmailers?
It's time of urgent changes there and the Bush Administration cannot to continue with McCain. Or want you more wars? More lies, expenses and Americans dieing in immoral battles? Or going to down the economy there? Obama wining the election in November places an excellent team of democrats in power and raises the hope of change for every one of us...
The Brazil and the Americas are with Obama 08!
Sincerely
Dalmo

write in… hill yes.. I guess you expect her to share her millions with you and others, once you cause a lose to the democrat voters?

Once you write her name in do you honestly thinks she going to call you and say thank you? After November they all (including Hillary) will still be able to AFFORD gas, have ENOUGH MONEY to survive any type of economy woes, outstanding health insurance for entire family, still have their JOBS, continue to have MILLIONS of dollars in their savings accounts. The only lesson you will teach anyone, including yourself, is that you are a selfish voter.

I am a Obama supporters, but if Hillary was the nominee, I would vote for her in a second, she's DEMOCRATES- RIGHT…I AM A DEMOCRATE………………

I think Senator Mccain is desperate to control how big Obama can get and how he can attract huge rallies. Mccain cannot do that and cannot afford to go as far as Obama can financially. So, his suggestion is to control Obama's message. I would like to see some debates in that style, but I also want Obama to continue to hold the large rallies all over the USA and bring new people into the process. We will win in November. I have no doubt!
Change we can believe in!

To: Florida not for Barack Obama - Ever
I get a real kick out of people like you thinking you speak for all of Hillary's supporters when you say all 18 million will vote McCain or write her name in come Nov. Get a grip! How old are you really, 12?
You are fortunately only one of a very few who will still hold fanatical views like that come November, the other 17,999,999 will have determined a vote to better their future and their children's future is infinitely better than holding onto such bitterness and voting to doom the country to another 4 years of failed republican policies.
Grow up and support your own party. Hillary is!

Someone mentioned wanting to know more about McCain before his POW days. Well, he was married to a model. She got into a horrific car accident so she looked quite different to him when he returned from war. From there he had an affair, divorced his wife, and married the mistress who was also a beauty queen, well-connected politically, and filthy rich. And so began his life with Cindy McCain. Do your homework. McCain is not an honorable man.

I just want to take this opportunity to beg all Obama supporters to resist arugering with Hillary's I do know that it can be extremely hard to do, but it really serves no purpose. Many of them will vote for Obama once they have the time to settle down and reason things out, but if they do not then that will be OK too, there is enough of us that have stood by him and millions that have had buyers remorse since voting for Hillary so that number is not as much as they are claiming, plus we must consider the Independents that were not allowed to vote in their state's primaries, then there are thousands of of young people that will becoming of age before Nov. that were not aware that they could have voted in Primaries. Also believe it or not many did not vote in Super Tuesday because they did not know who Obama was and did not believe he would have a chance, many that are sorry that they did not vote. There are those that are in Mi & Fla that will vote for Obama , then let's not forget those Republicans that will be voting for Obama. There will be EX HILLARY SUPPORTERS that WILL VOTE OBAMA, I AM ONE OF THEM!

Hillary supporters are acting like most that are not used to have power and now that they THINK they have it, they want others to beg and sweat over them, I will not, I believe it best to ignore them at this point, allow them time to calm down, but please STOP begging and arguring with them, they will have to reason this out on their own just like the MILLIONS OF US THAT DID!

IT'S TIME TO GET OVER IT MOVE ON, AND GROW UP! BUT FOR GOD'S SAKE SHUT UP ABOUT IT ALREADY! YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES DISAPPOINTED, I READ A COMMENT FROM A 15 YEAR OLD THAT HAS ALREADY REASONED IT OUT AND SOUNDS MORE MATURE THAT MOST GROWN UP IN THESE BLOGS STILL CRYING AND TAKING A TANTUM!

ENOUGH ALREADY! EITHER THESE PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID TO REASON WITH ANY WAY OR THEY ARE JUST ANGRY AND WILL COME AROUND EITHER WAY IGNORE THEM FOR NOW!

NEW SUPPORTER OF OBAMA!

NO McCAIN!

END THE WAR, BRING OUR TROOPS HOME! HELP OUR ECONOMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Senator Obama,

Congratulations on a successful and hard fought campaign. Your opponent was truly formidable but you made it through to the Super Bowl of American politics. To help make it through your final contest, please allow me to give you a bit of wisdom.

WISDOM #1:
Your previous opponent (Hill & Bill & Chelsea) were unprepared for your attack strategy of "CHANGE", so the element of surprise worked to your benefit. As you know the element of surprise is an essential strategy to winning any contest. But now this creates a problem for you. You see the McSame camp has watched your epic battle with team HRC and they are resolute not to be asleep at the wheel when you unveil the CHANGE strategy going forward. The McSame camp will not be caught off guard like the HRC camp.

WISDOM #2:
Do not accept John McSame's offer for 10 town meetings "as requested". You may consider only 3 of 10 town hall meetings, and the first 3 must be severely modified to benefit you. Remember, no more than three McSame contest. In addition Senator Obama, you should pick the other debate battle grounds and do not pick any more than three contest. In this way if you are losing the debate contest (and don't get cocky because it can happen), you will not have to quit the final debates because your are getting your butt whup, which will make you look very, very bad.

WISDOM #3:
REMEMBER THIS IMPORTANT RULE, NO MATTER HOW CONFIDENT YOU FEEL AGAINST YOUR OPPONENT, DO NOT ACCEPT HIS PROPOSITION TO FIGHT BATTLES ON THE GROUNDS HE SUGGEST. HE HAS ALREADY THOUGHT THROUGH EVERY POSSIBLE ANGLE TO BEAT YOU ON THE VERY GROUNDS HE HAS SELECTED. HE HAS NUMEROUS AMBUSHES WAITING FOR YOU. REMEMBER JOHN McSAME IS TRAINED IN THE ART OF WAR AND HE IS PLANNING YOUR DEMISE AS WE SPEAK. STAY AWAY FROM BATTLE GROUNDS HE SELECTED. IF YOU CHOOSE TO FIGHT ON HIS BATTLE GROUND, ONLY SIGN UP FOR THREE BATTLES. NO MORE. AND CHOOSE NO MORE THAT SIX TOTAL BATTLES INITIALLY. IF THOSE SIX BATTLES TURN OUT IN YOUR FAVOR, THEN YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO ADD MORE McSAME SPANKINGS AT YOUR DESCRETION.

Sincerely yours,
An Obama Mama

To Hoang, UC Berkeley:

If you don't think ending occupation in Iraq, curtailing Iran nuclear weapon development, having an universal health care, fixing the ecomony, reclaiming the status of USA, in the world, protecting women's right by selecting progressive Supreme court judges etc. are important for this country. Go write in whoever you want. Go waste your support for Sen. Clinton by electing John McSame. I hope you sleep well when Bush the 3rd is the next president.

Gene you state …."we can't afford another 4 yrs of stupidity from old white man…" and you are no doubt a Black Racist. You are living proof that Blacks are racist are in this country. May I remind you that Obama thought there were 57 states in the Union? He has made other mistakes as well. Black people need to stop all this racism toward White people. You will tolerate any kind of performance or behavoir just so long as that person is Black. Get over it!

Campaigns talk about change and party sheep (Dems and Reps) eat it up like candy.

The truth is that we are to lazy and content with moaning in corners, and listening to a lot of fantasies dreamed up by big money campaigns to see that nothing can be accomplish when you have a government run by the far left and far right.

What have the Democrats done since they took a majority? Nothing. Do you know why? They can't.

All I can hope is that one day, the press will come up with a way to give all real candidates a fair amount of attention, and that the folks that sit on the sidelines year after year (Independence) stand up and vote.

With that said, there is only one independent running. Look at their records. And I do not mean just during the time that they have been trying to earn a BIG party endorsement. (The only way into the White House)

There is nothing the same about McCain. The only true change candidate.

To Hoang, UC Berkeley......"You don't vote for a party; you vote for a president. It does not matter whether Obama is from the Democratic Party, nor does he have similar plans with Hillary". Do you know how DUMB you sound?, it is a fact when you vote for a president it’s either a democrats or republicans party group. If anyone believe this stupid comment, I hope they find you when they can't afford gas, health care, lose love ones in this war and high food cost. Write Hillary name, but for us who needs financial help, we can’t ask her for any money, Hillary has millions, what do you have? I am a Obama supporters and yes if Hillary was the nominee I would vote for her in a second, she's DEMOCRATES- RIGHT...I AM A DEMOCRATE..................

We the ones who are suffering from the Bush administration are getting tired of the voters who think it's all about THEM, when it should be about ALL of US. Some of us, voters have suffered the most, and we finally have a chance to get help from a demarcated president, you are going to block that. I considered myself as true democrats, because if Hillary would have won, as a Obama supporters would have thought of OTHERS WHILE I CASTED MY VOTE, and not pout because my choice of candidate didn‘t win. This thing were some of you say you will vote for McSame, to teach the DNC party or Obama a lesson. Please tell me how, with what your vote, our suffering, because after November they will still be able to AFFORD gas, make ENOUGH MONEY to survive any type of economy woes, still have JOBS to go to on a daily basis, continue to have MILLIONS of dollars in their accounts

Hillary may be loved by many women, but not everyone loves Hillary and believes she is the best person to be the President of the United States. Many Independants and Republicans would never vote for her. She be the "Great Woman's Hope" for many Democratic women, but Independent and Republican men and women young and old do not hold HIllary in the highest regard. She has to win the country. I believe more Republicans will vote for Obama. So for the few who won't vote for him, there are many who will take your place and will....
Go Obama!

Helen, he has experience. What's wrong with you? He was a professor at Northwestern, community organizer, Illinois state senate, and U.S. Senator. None of that matters though, because it's not about experience, it's about ideas and solutions. Show me the Constitutional document that says you need 20 years of government experience to run for office. There is none. You can be a farmer from Nebraska and be president. You just need lots of cash and good ideas for the country, and lots of people to listen to you. Guess what, Obama has all of those things. I am sorry you don't see the Fierce Urgency of Now why Obama is running for president. Or have you been asleep the last 7 1/2 years?

What Hillary supporters should understand is that there was never any perfect candidate. There were, at best, flawed choices, the pool of which has been narrowed down the final 2. So if Hillary's supporters are so against Obama, they should answer the tough question - am I so against him as to be for McCain? Ask and answer the question honestly, looking beyond hurt feeling and bruised ego, to what each candidate stands for, to each candidate's strengths and flaws. And then choose between the remaining options.

We like to talk about rights of a democracy. How little we talk about the accompanying responsibilities. America has winnowed its choices for president down to two. The responsible course of action is to chose between them.

I was watching CNN and I didn't know McCain BROKE while a POW!
He betrayed the USA to a enemy and confessed. Why is he running for President if he betrayed us?

I am not saying I would hold up but I know that about myself and wouldn't ever serve if there was a chance I would betray my country to the enemy as John McCain did.

McCain is considered a war hero for commiting treason while in uniform which doesn't surprise me since he is a republican.

Quote:

"What a welcome change it would be were presidential candidates in our time to treat each other and the people they seek to lead with respect and courtesy as they discussed the great issues of the day, without the empty sound bites and media-filtered exchanges that dominate our elections."

In other words, "Senator Obama, let the people hear you speak without the aid of punditry, and other media types, do their best to clean up after your latest gaffe, and we'll do it in front of a live audience, not a media that is doing its best to get you elected."

Sounds good to me.

Obama has as much experience as another man from Illinois had when he won the Republican nomination in 1860. He also was a relative unknown, had little managerial experience, little elective office experience, and won the nomination over several very well-known, albeit male, candidates who felt that they had a lock on the nomination. He was also much derided and, in fact, not only did his detractors threaten to not vote for him but also threatened to, and finally did, leave the union. Now, of course, we know how wrong everyone was but it wasn't known how great a strength of character and intellect this man had until he was in office and faced, with the wisdom and conviction he put forth during his campaign, the great trials of this office.

It doesn't matter as much that you have experience to play the game but rather that when you play the game, you have the ability to do so well. I feel that we are to see greatness from this century's man from Illinois.

I think everyone should stop being so negative. These town hall meetings have the potential to be wonderful, historic events that turn the election into an honorable contest of wits and issues. Granted, that sounds a bit unrealistic, but it could happen. At least the campaigns are agreeing on something.

Obama INGORE McCain!
Don’t Agree to anything.
Run the campaign as if he does not exist.
You can marginalize him by not referring to him.
Make the campaign about the “people” not the presidency!
He doesn’t get it!
The “movement” transcends a single person.
The more he talks about himself and you the more the people will understand the notion of a need for real change.
In short don’t play by the “old” political rules.
Love – your friends in Canada

Hoang,

Correction: you are not voting for a person, you are voting for an ADMINISTRATION. Unquestionably, Barack will appoint many of the same people Hillary would. If you want a continuation of Republican administration with the possible continued influence of Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, and all the other incompetents in Bush's circle, then don't vote Democratic.

If you believe in Hillary's honesty and trust her, you will do as she wishes and prays for. Otherwise, you obviously don't trust her honesty or judgement.

To Hoang, UC Berkeley: Do the capital letters mean you are enraged?
Your comment was identical to the one on the previous ticker. In capital letters!

All of you folks who are going to write-in Clinton, or vote for McCain, or stay home and not vote, it is your choice, of course, but it seems you are
acting in a self-defeating way. Is McCain's plan what you want for you and your children and grandchildren? Do you want your teenagers to do combat when they are old enough to enlist?

Any woman who votes for Senator McCain is giving up the Right to Choose. That's his position, clearly stated, and as a person who fought for Choice, I shudder at the thought of returning to those terrible times.

I am personally anti-abortion, but I will defend to the end a woman's right to make decisions about her own body.

And, by the way, I don't want my grandsons fighting in Iraq.

To all women who vow to sit the election out, or vote McCain:

You are reinforcing the "irrational" stereotype that strong women are trying to shake off.

Obama supporters seem to have an attitude that us old, white, working men and women that do not have a college degree call looking down their nose at. They think that we must be brain dead because we cannot see Obama in all his glory. I have even seen here on CNN posts that we should not even be allowed to vote.

Do you really think it is a good idea to keep on insulting us? Do you really realize that you are? Moreover, do you think he is going to win the GE without us?

I would hope someone will ask Obama the hard questions that can not be answered with slick slogans and catchy phrases. There is a need for clear and concise substance on major issues. Issues that the news media has allowed Obama to duck. No 1 is the socialist idea that bigger gov't is better gov't. He and Michelle have both stated publicly that those who have will have to learn to do with less so that those who have less can have more. Pure unadulterated socialism.
No2 Who is going to pay for the parade of free programs that is nothing short of pandering to the electorate. There are some very unsettling parallels to the rise of the 3rd Reich and Hitler as someone who promised to have all the answers. His metoric rise to power brought devastating results to millions and affected the whole world.
