People got swept away by the hype and lost their common sense.

But WHEN did HE win? I missed it. They were both right at the finish line.

By the end, the superdelegates had to carrry Obama across the finish line.

Even beating up on Hillary and swiftboating her and maligning her did not succeed in getting Obama solidly past 50%. Even Oprah and all the many celebrities singing all his praised did not do it.

Shouldn't Clinton have a better grasp of the nominating system that she helped her husband go through? She knew all about caucuses.
Did she care about the votes of FL and MI when she was in the lead? No.

Mr Wolfson, you ran a good campaign, I congratulate you, the failure came from the incompetence of Howard Dean, the enthusism of the backstabber senators Nancy Pelosi , John Kerry, Chris Dodd,and others in the democratic party to bring Hillary down so they can crown prince Hussein with the nomination, the biases in the press like CNN and MSNBC/NBC. Please explain how these people, in your eyes, are "backstabbers." As an Obama supporter, I am genuinely interested in your perspective because I don't see it that way but am intrigued to find out why you do. Is it that you saw this as "Hillary's turn" in the typical political food chain? Please explain (don't get defensive, let's dialogue).

Hoang – I take it that your major at Cal isn't political science – otherwise you'd know that in voting for president, party really does trump candidate. The victor of a presidential election installs his – or one day soon, her – party apparatus to populate the entire executive branch of government. Every office, appointment and policy of the victors' party becomes an extension of the party; hence, it would be absurd to expect a Democratic president to institute Republican policies or appoint "conservative" judges. It would be similarly absurd to expect John McCain to advance an agenda that wouldn't give Hillary nightmares. Your promised vote for her will serve only those you seem to oppose. I'm sick and tired of hearing that the media caused Hillary to lose. True.. there were stations that were totally for Obama.. but there were also stations totally pro-clinton. On one hand you have anderson cooper 360 who usually was pro-Obama.. but still reported every controversy. You had programs like Glenn Beck who continually trash Obama and try to scare you away from Voting for him. You have Fox News who loved Hillary and trashed Obama every step of the way... even created some false controversy.

Blaming the media is a one sided excuse. in the end Hillary lost because she was two-faced. She was sweet to Obama in front of him.. and the next day would slam him with Mud. Though Obama's supporters here on these blogs could be rude.. he always encouraged people not to drag this campaign down. And in he end,... Hillary lost because the majority of the dem's just simply didn't see her as trustworthy. Yes, Majority... that means that it's not everyone.. it's a broad statement to a broad audience The problem is Obama was always forced to answer for what everyone else did... not for what he did or said himself.

In an unrelated story, the Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees today 10 – 11. George Steinbrenner refused to concede the game to the Reds, protesting that the sportswriters and the umpires had a prejudice against ship builders. He said, "This is so unfair. We made 10 cracks in the steel ceiling that has always held shipbuilders back against the ever lasting biases that have been held agains us since Noah built that ark thingey.

He said he would like a couple of weeks to "consider his options, and felt like this should be his time." He did say he would be willing to consider accepting the position of "Co-Winner" if Red Sox management offered it to him". Immediately, ship builders around the world began a petition drive to secure his position.

I am amazed some of Hillary supporters think that the election was some how taken from her. They actually think she was entitled to the nomination just because her name is Clinton.

You can analyze ,whichever you want , at end of the day people decided whom they want to be their candidate from this party. People who voted for other candidate (Hillary Clinton ) have to decide , whom tthey are going to vote for, to meet country need first and their need later, if you voted Hillary Clinton , then you will hard time to vote for Republican candidate , and so you endup voting for Obama. Different TL here...Although I think that some of HRC's followers/supporters are delusional in the extent to which they blame sexism and other biases for her failures, as opposed to acknowledging any role she played in it, I think the supporters of both HRC and BHO need to take a closer look at their own perspectives and stop bickering. In the long run, I think that what appears to be division can be a benefit us all in the long run if people are willing to sit down and talk out their differences (and similarities) like MATURE ADULTS...of course, that might be asking a lot...

I do agree as well with the poster who pointed the near-hypocrisy of people who say Obama won because of the Black vote while overlooking the support Hillary got from women and Latino/as, not to mention low income and less-educated whites (many of whom said race was indeed a factor in their voting–which Hillary never did "reject and denounce" ), as standard.

Remember Kids: always look both ways before you cross the "blame street"–but you're always welcome on the other side. The light is green )

Unlike some Obama bloggers, I have the utmost respect and affection for Hillary supporters, and look forward to working together in common cause this Fall. While I deplore and condemn the disrespect shown by some Obama bloggers, I remain perplexed that, no matter what Obama says or does, for some Hillary supporters he is ALWAYS AND FOREVER, "vile and hateful." Hillary's camp did a wonderful and great job but it was Obama's camp which did better, so Obama won. Similarly as sportsmen do, we must acknowledge the results and move on. The primary is over and now we go for the finals.
Ask yourself if you were a democrat would you want Repulican to be the Commander in Chief and President? Ask yourself who could led our country out of the present situation boldly and re-create our worldwide image, then vote. It does not make sense to cut off your nose just to get even.

But what I do not understand is that some of Clinton's supporters refuse to endorse Obama. don't you understand that this absolutely not repectful towards your candidates. It is not about you or Clinton or Obama but it is about YOUR country, about your YOUR future. Some are really are acting like kids. voting for republicans is not fair towards Hillary Clinton. So if you are true fan of her be respectful to her and endorse Obama. Think about just like adult people.
