Democrats Beware!

Republicans have launched a blogosphere campaign where they claim to be Democrats who will vote for Senator McCain since Senator Clinton is not the democratic nominee!

Do not be fooled!

This is nothing more than republican tricknology, Karl Rovian VODOO; Of course all real democrats would NEVER vote for George W. Bush’s third term, ENDLESS war, overturning of Roe V. Wade, or more record profits and tax breaks for oil companies while the average American spending power continues to thin.

Be Brave Democrats and be watchful!

With a majority Democratic legislature and a Democratic President we can see real change not gridlock! Wake up Dems do not be fooled.

To mikky from grand rapids, michigan June 9th, 2008 2:02 pm ET
I can't not bring myself to vote for Obama. I just cant see any good he has done. At least with McCain I know what Im getting. Besides, I vote for the person, not the party.
I cant wait for Obama to lose and ALL of us Hillary supporters can yell…NO YOU DIDN'T!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------
You are so pathetic, Be honest, the reason why you can't bring yourself to vote for Obama is because he is biracial, educated, caring and offer hope and positive change for EVERYONE. Because of people like you we will..................................We are suffering from the Bush administration are getting tired of you voters who think it's all about YOU, when it should be about ALL of US. Some of us voters have suffered enough, we finally have a chance to get help from a demarcated president, and all you can think about is your selfish self, when you vote sometimes you are suppose to care about OTHERS, it’s not about what you can‘t do.

Well this isn't exactly change from the Bush policies the Senator is so against and goes to great efforts to challenge. Yet his many of his supporters think it's a brilliant plan. $50B is hardly a large enough sum either.

Printing extra money will do nothing but weaken the dollar even more, which is the main reason the economy is struggling. Prices will go up and you're right back where you started. Economies go through growths and contractions. Letting them work themselves out is usually the best course of action. Live within your means and save for contraction periods and you'll do just fine.

Bill, don't blame the auto execs. The market (consumers - you, me, him, her) did not ask for better fuel efficient cars until now. You want the government to know what you want? Keep the interest groups and PACs alive, don't kick them out like Sen. Obama wants. They are your voice. Without them, there would never be change.

Jackson:

I should expect such a response from an Obama zealot. You either misunderstood or ingored my concerns, and instead of offering anything substantial to the discussion, you bring in a cute little cheer for your demigod: "He's bringing more than change, man. He's bringing dollars!"

Where do you think these dollars will come from? They will either be from huge tax hikes or from Fed Reserve lowereing rates (in the form of printing currency out of thin air) or both. Both of these options are bad for the economy, so how can we fix a bad economy by implementing bad economic practices?

Think before you vote! Don't just line up behind Obama because he's charismatic! LOOK AT HIM! LOOK AT HIS STANCES! He represents just as much change as McCain.

The day's of cheap gas is over. This is reality. A gas holiday is not the answer. A change in attitude towards energy consumption is. We need more energy efficient cars, not artifically cheaper gas. And we need those oil companies who are experiencing windfall profits at our expense, to cough up the money for this transition.

It's so obvious. There's more to conservation than recycling cans. Even a non-college educated person like myself can see it.

To RIF: I read his economy plan and the only way his will work if he raises taxes for EVERYONE not just the rich. There aren't that many billionaires out there to rob peter to pay for paul. Obama might take troops out of Iraq but he will put them somewhere else as he said so we still have that 10 bill. per month to pay for.

Spending cash like that means we must be staying in Iraq as that is going to be a expensive move on out of there, is that where the cash is going to come from or are we just not worring really about the roads and bridges he always talks about? must be making cuts again in the school system? these are just the spots the war money comes from. looks like more gov jobs and funding are going to go down. it all sounds good until you start being dumb and uneducated as Iam always told by his supporters and start thinking about it huh

Chris, Middletown, CT said:
"Open drilling in Alaska….its also time to put pressure on our allies in the middle east to increase production….if they do not….immediately pull our bases out of there….and tell the terrorists that "the Saudis have drawings of Allah…we saw them""

Drilling was banned from certain areas to protect the environment. There are plenty of other ways to fix the gas price issue without resorting to harming the environment further. The government forced TV to switch to digital. Why can't they lean on the auto industry to hasten their progress towards fuel efficiency and alternative fuels? Aptera is a great example of a new kind of car to fix our gas problem. Sadly, it has taken a spike in fuel large enough to hurt the pocketbooks of the auto industry execs to get us to the point where the large companies are actually working towards fuel efficiency.

Also, we have the technology for synthetic fuel, but we abandoned the idea when OPEC lowered natural oil prices after the 80s fuel "crisis". I'm not in favor of using wheat, corn, etc. for fuel. Let's not waste our food supply! Instead, we should be harnessing synthetic fuel, hemp, or other means of producing fuel right here without drilling.

Yes, we can... fix the problem that greedy executives have created.

About economy and experiency... You Reps, just tell me... How much your highly-experienced administration already had spend in these wars which brought soooo much security for America, and for US Army?
Don't you think that, in a childish, foolish or whatever else moment, it would have been more useful to give all that money to the ones who really needs help in America? Or am I such an inexperienced, gullible and idealistic guy, like you think Obama is?

Now see Senator McCain - that is the type of thinking we need right now not a GAS TAX. If you are really concerned about Americans and the folks you call "lower income" then you, Senator Clinton need to get on board and stress to old BUSH to do it again NOW>>>>>>

Bush and his administration got us into this mess, it is up to them to get us out. The adminstration believes it will just "fade into the sunset" well for et that.

When Bush came into office economy was Great, had surplus monies. But in 8 years Republicans have put us in a war based on lies from adminsitration, bankrupt the USA, and made America the laughing stock of the world instead as the most respected and feared.

So I would recommend you Senator McCain, you Senator Clinton, you Senator Feinstein, with your sorry old self, Senator Graham, Liberamann, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi - all you folks who think you know how to run this country -

back Senator Obama in this additional stimulas proposition for Americans. Come out of your white house BUBBLE and get Real about what we Americans are going through as Senator Obama is doing and has been doing since he announced his candidancy. HOPE, FUTURE have you tired old folks ever heard of it and it is not a fairy tale ask Bill Clinton, ask John F. Kennedy, ask Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr. What the hell do you folks think these great men were asking for their country and fellow Americans?????????

Why are Hillary's supporters so bent on not voting for Barack Obama? I cannot understand why any democrate wouldn't. And it seems to be not just the women, but the men as well. Even if Barack hasn't been in the Senate as long as Hillary or McCain, he is the best candidate that we have right now to fix this situation. Remember ... there are only two(2) candidates left to choose from. McCain doesn't know anything about the economy ... he said it himself. Hillary and Barack have almost identical solutions for so many of our problems. Who do you think will most likely ask Hillary for her input, Barack Obama or John McCain? I think you all know the answer to that.

Scott I'm with you buddy.

I just want my money that I have earned everyone else can keep theirs as well.

And yes education is your future, but you should still have to work for it because higher education is not free and is not the duty of the government to provide. My college education was not free for me or my family, but we alone are paying for it not the rest of America.

It's written that all men are created equal, not all men are to live equal.

Extending unemployment isn't the answer. Too many view it as an entitlement and don't even seek employment until they have to.

If you want to give more, heighten the application requirements for the extended funds. Make it a part time job just to get the free money...more will head off to work that way.

Haha... is this what you Obama supporters were hoping for? We're going to be left with nothing BUT change if this guy takes over the economy. He may want to take some night courses in finance if we can pry him from the golf course long enough.
