(CNN) – Cindy McCain on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of serving in her husband’s possible presidential administration.
Mrs. McCain, the wife of presumptive Republican nominee John McCain, told NY1 that while she would want be an “advocate” for issues like education as first lady, she has no plans to serve in an official post.
“I do not ever envision myself as being involved in the McCain administration, as it has been put, at all,” she said. “But my husband and I do talk and I want to be party to listening to what his ideas are too.”
She also said that her role as first lady would not change from her role today, making note of her work for international charities.
She turned in her taxes but won't be with her husband??? No offense but no wonder the conserves don't like Senator McCain.......just look at the family for crying out loud...
The RNC is paying bloggers to try and pull Clinton supporters over to McCain.
Don't listen to the same three or four people that flood the Ticker on a daily basis using different names – they are just paid hacks.
Thank God! And life goes on.
Did I just hear that Senator McCain is barely figuring out the internet??? Will somebody tell the Senator that we're living in the year 2008.....
If he was to win why would she not serve then after he is done serving she can run for president she will surely have enough first hand experince on what it take to be president
She won't have to worry ,she won't get the chance.
Good for Cindy. Wonder if Michelle would make the same statement? It might give me a little incentive to support Obama.
Poise , Grace & Elegance, a TRUE "Fist Lady," UNLIKE Michelle!
Go John McCain!!!!!!!!!!!
Cindy McCain would like the be head of the Pharmacy Dept.
But I doubt ole McVetobeers has alternative plans of lots of parties with FREE Beer..
Vote your pocketbook – Vote Change
Carol McCain – the real first lady.........
neither will john.a mccain administration is about as possible as another gw bush term.
I like Cindy's stance and I admire her for having the backbone to say "No" to it all. Politics can be so tiring, and draining, and negative. Look at all the ill-will in the DNC. It's best for one's sanity to stay away.
She won't serve in a McCain administration because there won't be one!
Cindy McCain reminds me of "Barbie," (this is a compliment)!
The White House will soon be her "Dream House."
I don't think she is qualify anyway to be the running mate.
She didnt have to tell us that because we already knew , be cause there wont be no McCain administration. Next time tell her to tell us something we dont know.
So she enherited 100+ million and has no interest in bettering anything about this country?
talk about spoiled
I'm sorry, why was this question even asked of Mrs. McCain? Must be a slow day on the news circuit.
The point is moot, since there won't BE a McCain administration.
Cindy will be lucky if John remembers her name in the next couple years, or even his own. Seriously though.. it's good to see someone who's not going to try taking credit for their spouse's service and experience :)
Hopefully, neither will McBush be involved in the White House administration.
She is too elitist and snobbish to do much for the country. Something about her makes John look so bad.
Cindy McCain in her husband's administration makes as much sense as Laura Bush would be in her husband's administration. Neither can make a contribution to "dumb and dumber."
Well... I'll sleep better tonight. *YAWN*
At least she is honest and knows her limitations.
