I keep coming back to the same thought about the upcoming election: Why would anybody in their right mind vote for someone who is going to run this country just like George W(orthless) Bush has for the last 8 years? That is exactly what you are doing if you mindlessly vote for McCain! Come on people, THINK!

Lack of experience number one reason i will not vote for BO. And i am not sure anyone really knows the solutions to fixing this country, basically it everyone thinks his the chosen one. But my vote will go to McCain at least he has SOME experience.

Senator Hillary Clinton is and continues to be the BEST Presidential Candidate ! Why does the American Public continue to be so Naive?
And because of their Naive Actions and Decisions look at where Geo. W. Bush has brought this Country
Incidentally, Who is paying for Laura Bush's trip to Afgannistan ? Who made her Sect. of State ? What has happen to the Black Rose?

I am a lifelong Democrat and Hillary supporter. There is no way on earth that I will vote for Obama in November even if Clinton is on the ticket. He is not qualified to be president and his arrogance and inexperience would just be a left wing version of George Bush. I know he has tons of money and the media behind him, but I think there are enough clear thinking people like me who will defeat him in the fall.

Hillary DOESN'T know how to get the job done. She couldn't even win the Democratic nomination against and unknown. There was no conspiracy. There were no dirty tricks. She lost. Deal with it.

THe BU,
I can tell you why they are voting for McCain.... sexism or racism. You pick because, when you look @ Hillary's policy and Obama's policy's they are more closely related than those policies of McCain.

I don't see why HRC people feel that they are proving a point by voting for McCain. The only point that is being proving is that stupidity run deep in our country.

I agree. This is why it is ridiculous to say Hillary is a moderate while Obama is somehow Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist. If anything, Hillary is farther to the left than Obama, especially with regards to their universal health care plans.

I'm so looking forward to CNN continuing to fan the flames of Obama/Hillary slugfest. They got such good ratings they have to figure a way to keep it going as long as possible.

It's over CNN. Focus on Obama/McCain. Last time I checked, these are the two presidential candidates.

How could there be a difference; he waited until she publicized her plans then he copied them. He then used insidious hate-mongering tactics against her. She has the ideas, plans, and solutions. He copies and makes speeches. How could anyone know what he will do if elected? We know what Clinton stood for and what she would have done. This man is an empty suit with a loud mouth. I will vote for McCain; I know who he is.

The affect of the clinton vote that claims they won't support Obama is overstated if you ask me. He doesn't need her on the ticket. Sixty percent of them are already willing to vote for him. Twenty percent say the will stay home...I'll be genorous and give you fifteen by November...fine that will be circumvented by the new crop of voters. Another twenty say they will vote for McCain, but for all the bitterness and anger they have now, I'm willing to bet no more that ten percent of that twenty end up actually votin for McCain when the issues are actually laid out. McCain has a bigger problem with the Republican base than Barack has with Clinton supporters.

I do have one question for all of the Hillary supporters who like to speak on how much Hillary can get done.
IN THE BEGINNING she had the following...
1) a 20 to 30% percent lead in the polls
2) about 20 to 30 million dollars for the campaign
3) probably 30% of the female vote locked up
4) 30 years experience and one of the MOST popular Ex-Presidents as her husband

AND she still could not get 55% of her OWN party to vote for her!!

PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU CAN BE SO SURE SHE CAN ACCOMPLISH SO MUCH!!

PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS???

CB...
You must be one of those "intelligent" supporters of Obama. NOT!, you idiot. The U.S. population is just over 300 million in all. Not 300 voters. Typically the voter turnout is 50-55 million in the GE. It may rise to new heights this year but 18 million voters for Hillary WILL make a huge impact on the outcome.

and this Hillary supporter had already planned on either Hillary or McCain, never Obama from the start.

McCain '08 for Clinton '12

I was for Hillary before all of the lies and the racist talk by her husband and her campaign and she did it herself too. I really don't like what they was doing to one that was supposed to be on the same side as they were. If this woman is on the ticket I will make all the calls that I can and ask them not to vote in November. Hillary Clinton tried to destroy Senator Obama and the Democratic Party and I lost respect for her acting like a man belting down shots and just acting manly it was not a good fit for her. Not once did she wear a skirt or dress it was very unbecoming.

Hmmm GO DEMSSSSSS and for HRC supporters that is voting for McCain out of haste, you get what you vote for: 100 years of war, drained economy, and a potential future president who is having alot of slip of the tongue lately.

Signs of alzheimers. Don't let your emotions get the better of you. what kind of message are you sending. surely not one of being responsible.

Obama and Clinton differ on very few issues, but they differ greatly on style and character.

He won the nomination because of style and character, which boils down to positivity vs. negativity. Usually it's the negativity that works, but this time it was different. You have to at least give Obama credit for that. His own supporters begged him to go negative, and he refused. And he won.

First he was campaigning on "change" from old style, and now he says that there are no differences between them. Bologna. Big time bologna. Somebody has to tell to Obama that American people are not stupid, and they are not going to buy any more empty words from this Chicago style politician.

I was watching Larry King with the VP choices and Gergen said if he is up 10 points by Aug. he won't pick Clinton anyway. This was a strange analysis I thought because McCain can easily go up 10 points within the next 2 months after. I wouldn't want to play Russian Roullette if I knew I had a sure thing with Hillary and all her voters coming aboard. Webb and Byah won't bring them in and Richardson isn't even mentioned. He is still criticizing the Clintons when interviewed and made himself political poison. The others mentioned are all weak prospects for Obama. I don't believe the VP spot isn't important to win either when Lieberman was the VP nominee he got all the Jewish vote for Gore. To bad they punched the wrong name. LOL

"Infinitesimal" surprises a lot of people because they are shocked to hear long words coming from a leader after 7 years of Bush. Since Bush has no idea how to pronounce simple words like "drought" and "nuclear", it's very refreshing to hear someone intelligent for a change.

To Still for Hill, it is apparent that you have not gone to college or have anyone that has.No it is not funny that after 4 years of college you can not get a job to pay you loans off. Wake up that is what has been happening for the past 5 or 6 years. We have college grads working at fast food places. And you want to vote for McCain he does not even want to raise the minimum wages.Low graduation rates from high school has been a age long problem. If you will close your mouth and open your ears Obama wants parents to be able to have insurance coverage on children until 25. Obama 08 Connie

BTW - By saying the differences between him and Clinton are "immeasurably small" does not infer that he will be picking her as his VP. If anything, it begins to hint that she will NOT be his choice. Why add someone who is so close to you on everything?

Kyle - I think that we should ALWAYS be open to voting for any candidate regardless of party affiliation. I myself am a long-time registered Independent who found a candidate he liked early on. Unfortunately, that candidate was Edwards and he was out in Jan. :( Of the 3 remaining, I prefered Obama slightly over Clinton and way more than McCain. That being said, I am glad that the Rep. candidate this year is a man of honor and character, even if I dont agree with his course.

That's because Obama stole every single idea he now touts as his own from Hilary Clinton. Remember the debates: "I agree with Senator Clinton -- I agree with Senator Clinton . . . " Name just ONE original idea he brought up during 20 debates -- just ONE! Well, yes, there was one -- unlike Hillary Clinton, Obama would NOT make health care universal.

And THAT is NOT "infinitesimal, tiny, minute, trivial, or inconsequential."

This is the reason all of the disappointed men and women that supported Hillary need to just step back for a while "cool the jets" and realize the REAL reason the race was close is there policies were ALMOST the SAME. It was a matter of Who did you like? Who did you trust? and Who more represented Change?
IT WAS CLOSE.. But Obama got more votes, and delegates so he was the winner..it really is that simple.
Democrats don't lose sight of that fact and GIVE the Republicans the White House just because your feelings are hurt..THIS IS MUCH BIGGER THAN THAT...

Clinton supporters....explain this to me...how can you call Senator Obama an extreme leftist while Hillary is a centrist, and then in your next breath say that Senator Obama stole all his ideas from Senator Clinton? Wouldn't that either make him a centrist or her a leftist?

To everyone out there - the news media and all the people they have analyzing everything all the time - YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR HILLARY SUPPORTERS - YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT WE WILL DO AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SAY "OH THEY WILL COME AROUND WHEN THEY GET OVER THEIR ANGER". Just who do you people think you are anyway. You are the judge and jury of eveything I guess. You pick the nominee, you pick the President - you tell everyone how they should vote or say you "know" what they will do. How dare you. You are all in for a big surprise. If all of Hillary supporters feel like I do, you will eat your words. You know nothing!!!

While you are talking about disrespect shown to hillary. please dont forget all the other candidates who were put on the sideline because the media had declared her the "inevitable candidate" before the primaries and caucuses ever took place. even as early as 2006 they were suggesting that barack obama had no chance. they acted like he was just a child that you could pat on the head tell them good job and then send them off to play. Hillary does not have the monopoly on disrespect in this campaign.

I thought it was pretty disrespectful when Hillary said John Mccain would make a better president. And when she offered him the VP slot when he was ahead. So all you "scorned" men and women out there please just get over yourselves.

TESAP - check your Websters. It is not a new word. The meaning is:
1 : taking on values arbitrarily close to but greater than zero
2 : immeasurably or incalculably small

Isn't it refreshing to have someone running for office that not only has a vocabulary, but knows how to pronounce them and use them correctly? I love it!

I am also amazed at how some of the Clinton supporters feel they can speak for all 17 million of the people that voted for Senator Clinton, when in fact, current polling shows that at least 60% of her supporters will vote for Senator Obama.

Yes, Obama and Hillary agree on 90% of issues, but the big difference is we do not trust Obama. We know Sen Clinton will follow through and help the american people as she has throughout the
years. When President Clinton was in power we all had it
pretty good, and then along came Bush and destroyed everything.

McCain will NOT be another Bush, he is not a liar and a true
American. That is why Hillary supporters will vote for McCain
and never vote for Obama.

It is Barack's character (OR LACK OF) that keeps me from voting for him. Yes, I am a democrat who supports Hillary, and Yes, I understand the differences were minimal. However, Hillary has the fortitude and experience to carry them out. Barack will be another George Bush or Jimmy Carter.

Bob Barr, Libertarian will shift the political spectrum and expose all the Lefties like Obama and Hillary for the Authoritarians they all are. And he won't spare the squishes who coddle the Leftist Authoritarians either.

Ok, how about this: Obama and Hillary supporters all come together to support this ticket and, in return, we get to lock-up Bill Clinton, Rev Wright, Mark Penn, Rev. Pfleger and Terry McAuliffe in a bunker by Area 51 for 8 years. :-D

deal?

I am a Hillary supporter, but do not want her to accept VP position simply because she will always be blamed for everything that goes wrong for Obama. Obama has definetly brought a lot of nuts into the Democratic party and the majority of his supporters are not loyal Democrats. I am sure that I wil not be voting in the general election because there is nothing Senator Obama can do that will change my mind. I simply think he is a phony and an appeaser. If elected, he will surely owe a lot of favors to a lot of people. I hope he selects Bill Richardson as VP because I believe this will definetly encourage a lot of Hillary's supporters to let the Democratic party exactly how we feel about how Hillary was treated by media and DNC. I did not have a problem with Richardson endorsing Obama, but then he intentionally went on television and said demeaning things about the Clintons. It is really ironic that Clintons never said one mean thing about Richardson during the entire process.

Right 15 Million people left with no coverage under his gracious plan - indeed, "Infinitesimal"

It's time he listens to both Edwards and Hillary on health care policy.

If he does not change his idiotic plan, i am NOT voting for him, and I am sitting the election.

No differences? Tell that to the 15 million Americans that he is willing to leave uninsured.

What that means is that while 1 in 20 Americans will continue to be uninsured, 1 in 4 black people will go uninsured.

He avoided the tough issues in the Illinois senate by voting neither yes nor no but present on 120 bills. What will he do if he makes it to the white house?

He's been big on criticizing Hilary for her positions - well, at least she has them. He is better than McCain, but not by much.
