Obama leads McCain by 4 points, according to a new CNN poll of polls.

(CNN) - Barack Obama appears to have increased his lead over John McCain in the race for the White House, though the two presidential hopefuls continue to be locked in a close fight, according to a new CNN poll of polls.

According to an average of four recent national polls, Obama holds a four point advantage among registered voters over the Arizona senator, 47 percent to 43 percent. Ten percent said they remain undecided.

Watch what's next for McCain and Obama

A CNN poll of polls taken last week showed the Illinois senator with only a two point advantage over McCain. But three of the four polls were conducted before Hillary Clinton formally dropped out of the race on Saturday, and may not fully reflect the current state of public opinion.

    If anger were tender, there would be a lot of very rich people posting on this board.

    Obama supporters, stop letting the angry Hillary supporters (and Republican imposters) keep goating you into responding.

    Keep your eyes on McCain and the issues. Our candidate is in the race. Hillary supporters will come around once they get to know Obama better. He does have ideas, he does have a plan, he is intelligent, and he is articulate. McCain isn't.

    Wait for the multiple October surprises... Obama will have a worse month in October than he did in March/April. I found a report of a male member of Trinity Church in Chicago named Larry Sinclair who has signed an affidavit saying that in 1999 he did drugs and had sex with Obama and that David Axelrod threatened him.
    That's what you get for selecting an unknown candidate as the party's nominee...
    PUMA DEMOCRAT!

    From Dreams Of My Father;
    After graduating from college, Obama eventually went to Chicago to interview for a job as a community organizer. His racial attitudes came into play as he sized up the man who would become his boss. “There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. “A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”

    To "matt" "kathy" and the rest of you closet racists desguised as HRC "supporters".......

    Give the man SOME credit...obviously Obama is doing something right......against all odds, he couldn't have come this far if he didn't know what the issues were and how to solve them. For you to throw your country under the bus, so to speak, and recklessly support a man like McCain, who embraces another 100 years is Iraq, tax cuts for the wealthy, high food and gas prices (not to mention gas tax gimmicks), outrageous job losses and unprecedented numbers of foreclosures then not only are you insane.....but you might need professional help.

    It's really early. Wait until August. The real story will be coming out then. If Obama only got 4% then that doesn't say much. His so called bump is a blimp on a scale so large. It's going to take more than Pelosi and the hack of a leader from the Dems to push him over the fence. Better get a ladder Barack... the points are going to be close until election time. Let's see how dishing Clinton supporters from Barack's supporters are going to help him now. Keep the dividing talk up and you'll see your Candidate go down. As far as Susan B. Our fore mothers gave us the vote ... and because of it we get to exercise our right to vote for anyone we want. I won't waste my vote on Barack.

    Even though I support Obama... who cares about polls 5 months before the election? It's not like voters will be feeling exactly the same way 5 months from now. Let's focus more on what the candidates are saying than what all these polls are saying.

    All of this talk about if I can't vote for a woman then I am sitting out or voting for McCain. Well I guess that there has have always been a women on the ticket? If you think that this is and will be the only time that a party has ignored women, then you a living in a different country that I have been. When has Obama been disrespecting to women? Are you listening to only the media? I am a woman and I do not remember him saying anything about not respecting women. Go on a vote for Mccain, I guess that you really do enjoy all of the wonderful things going on in our country at this time!!!!

    Hillary's speech was dull, devoid of emotion, stolid, plus she was still campaigning for herself. She cannot accept the fact that he came from behind and got nominated. HA HA HE HE. Live with it you hill/bill. Her supporters or no supporters. He is the next PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. At your service Mr. President Obama.
