This is only a week after his victory, the more Americans that realize how bad McBush is for the U.S.A. the higher this number will become. There are not enough bigots in this country to sway the vote where the Republican party the way they want.

Now that Loser is PANDERING The u.s. taxpayers again with another Tax cut holiday. News for one and All the $28 dollars you would save for the whole summer will not buy Dinner for 4 or school supplies for 1 kid. so pull your heads out of your tushies if you think otherwise.

Matt: Looks like you're 0 for 3 on this one. First, the article states that "three of the four polls were conducted before Hillary Clinton formally dropped out of the race on Saturday, and may not fully reflect the current state of public opinion." So, we're only looking at part of the bump. However, the big bump will come around convention time.

Your third statement is strange considering how badly the Republicans have screwed up this country - quagmire in Iraq, $4 gas, record foreclosures, $3.5 trillion more debt, rising unemployment, economy bordering on recession, more people hate America, fewer allies, falling global influence, wiretaps, use of torture, global warming, no leadership on energy, and the beat goes on and on. They have messed us up BIG TIME - and, we, the people are going to sweep them out of office. And you probably want to elect someone who has voted with Bush 90+% of the time and now says he is different, has not voted in favor of environmental legislation since 2005 and now claims to be an environmentalist, said the Bush tax cuts bothered his conscience and now wants to make the permanent, and says foreign policy is his big forte and then makes one Shiite/Sunni and Iraq/Iran gaff after another.

And for all those reasons, your middle comment is also wrong - Obama's numbers will go up and up.

The smear campaign will not work this time - not after the consequences of similar campaigns in 2000 and 2004. NOT THIS TIME!

Ladies....Obama is now using Hillary's words and ideas and some of her strategies used during her campaign to reach working women. At the same time he may not offer her the vp slot and probably won't. He is also going to ask Elizabeth Edwards to work with his healthcare plan if he becomes president. Hillary's plan, that is so close to her heart. I've been watching him and can only shake my head in disbelief. Watching McCain too.

The more I see, the more I don't like. Obama says there is very little difference between him and Hillary. Not so....he's just trying to set up using her ideas as his own. This is obvious to me.

don't let those sour grapes of Hillary supporters get you down.

They rather vote for Bush (probably have) than to have anyone but Hillary.

After all, they voted Bush so they could see her run in 2008. They might just do it again. Oh well, their vote, their choice.

Kathy, I respect your decision to vote for whomever you choose.
But, a couple of points:
1) Senator Clinton has asked you to vote for Senator Obama.
So you are doing a disservice to her campaign and her legacy by going against what she asked of you.
2) Senator McCain is the complete opposite of what Senator Clinton stands for. She and Obama vote the same 90% of the time. She and McCain vote the same maybe 20% of the time. I know I'm being a little liberal with that 20%, but you should get the point.

So, please help explain what policy issues you feel McCain offers for you better than Clinton (oops, I meant Obama since they both vote the same about 90% of the time).

I can share four areas where I as a man desperately disagree with McCain.
1) Iraq - War was unnecessary and really unjustified. He believes in it and wants to continue it at a cost of $10 billion per month. THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY people.
Oh pardon me, I forgot to mention, the 4,100 soldiers who've died and the 100,000 who've returned from war permamently disabled in some way.

2) Judges If nothing else as a woman who doesn't want to be faced with the prospect of being pregnant by someone who fooled you into a relationship, raped you, date raped you, had incest, I'm not interested in havind judged like Altio, Roberts, Scalia, Thomas tell the woman that she's just flat out of luck. Since McCain said three weeks ago that he'd appoint justices like Scalia and Thomas, I'm done.

3) Economy I just saw recently where former Senator Phil Gramm was cited for working as a lobbyist for UBS, the same firm which was on the wrong side of the mortgage meltdown debate. And, he's now working for McCain. We're struggling right now and I see this country heading down a very difficult path. Not keen on a candidate who says to our #1 issue, "I'm not really strong on the economy."
Heck, he can't even pick good members of his team with all of the lobbyists he has working for him.

4) Healthcare I belive in the free market approach. After all, this country is built on the principle of capitalism. But, McCain's approach of giving everyone a $2,000 credit and saying good luck makes no sense. I'm in great shape, thank GOD. And so is my family. But I think about the families that have some health issues. $2 grand will pay for a month's medical bills. A fter that, they'd be forced into bankruptcy.
Yes, that bankruptcy that was forced through a few years ago which makes it much more difficulty on filers.

So, there are four reasons right there.
And p.s., to you and the rest of the Senator Clinton backers (who the Obama team does need to help get him elected),
1) interesting that a number of her key staffers are already going over to Obama to work with and for him
2) I spoke recently to a lady who's a delegate to Denver for Clinton.
Want to know what she's doing next week, heading to a couple of tough spots in the state where Clinton did well and Obama didn't to get people signed up to vote and then educate them on why Obama. She's disappointed that Clinton didn't win, and she has every right to be disappointed. But she told me she'd be even more disappointed that the Clinton legacy would forever be tarnished because of McCain winning this fall and changing the landscape of this country for the next 30 years.
SO, what cha wanna do? Hopefully in 4 months, you'll come around to see the four points above are crucial.
And if you don't, well it's your vote and you can vote however you want to. Just don't come back and complain for the next 30-40 years because this election this year will change this country in a profound way. GOD bless you and all of the voters in the fall.

This is hardly anything to cheer about. Face it- with the embers of the historic Democratic primary slowly fading away from our memories, people will learn more and more about what Obama is about. For one thing, he can't do a single thing about gas prices. In a blatantly pandering move he is proposing to send out 50 billion dollars for another (useless) stimulus, increasing our taxes, increasing our debt... He is a tax and spend liberal of the worst kind and the conservatives will be out in record numbers to make sure Obama is prevented from having the chance to throw our economy off a cliff.

What was the question asked? What party did the people answering the question belong to? You numbskulls that read news like this and actually believe that this is an acurate reflection on the American nation as a whole need to be whacked upside your head with a sock filled with bricks.

Of course CNN doesn't include the small facts like :

90% of the participants are democtrats
60% voted for Obama in the primaries

Polls are worthless but I can see why you libs hold them so dear ... cuase there isn't going to be much to cheer about come November and a Republican is still going to be in office for 4 more years.

Dems DON'T want TRAITORS!!! If you are going to vote for Republicans because Hillary lost, STAY with the Republicans!!! We DON'T want you back!!! You where supposed to be voting on the content of their character and not the gender of the candidate. True Dems FOLLOW RULES and PLAY FAIR. It was only obvious that ALL the candidates SHOULD have taken their name off the ballet, but not Hillary. She says that they all know that the votes won't count...so why leave your name on the ballet, Hillary. Was she trying to scheme or plot? To think that NO ONE would have voted for Sen. Obama in Michigan is preposterous. Either you are for UNITY for ALL, this includes BLACKS, WHITES, FEMALES, GAYS, YOUNG, and OLD, or you want to revert back to SEPARATISM. As a bi-racial man raised by a white women I am disgusted with some of those "SUPPORTERS". I think my mother would return from the grave simply to throw up! Grow up people. She still going to run, DUH!!!

National Polls mean nothing at this point. As we all know, the President is not elected based on "the popular vote".

The only Poll that (will) matter is the Electoral College in November.

By the way, Wolf Blitzer really sucks.

I hope dems wake up and unite. This isn't American Idol. There are serious ISSUES voters must decide on. Obama and Hillary had a tough primary, but they've been able to come together and will work together in the future to meet their common goals. McCain is on the other end of the spectrum on the issues AND would continue many of the policies of the current administration. Dems, think! Too much is at stake.

For all these people that keep demanding for Hillary Clinton to be Obama's running mate, please get a grip! What are you going to do when he offers it to her and she REJECTS it? What makes you think that she even WANTS that? Just because YOU want that does not mean it's in the plan or that it is the best choice for our country.

I don't understand how people can claim to love senator Clinton so much while being so quick to stab her in the back and vote Republican. I've read some comments using "revenge on Obama" and "proving a point" as justification for this, but really, what if McCain does get into office, what would that mean for Democratic ideals, goals, and values? What revenge are you getting? What point are you proving? Revenge on yourself for being so petty? Proving the point that you really don't care about our right to choose, our children's education, our troops in Iraq, our country's standing in the world? What's wrong with Obama '08 for Clinton '12? That's what I hope for because I like Obama AND Clinton, and I'd NEVER vote for a Republican like McCain or Bush.

Strange that CNN Polls show exactly what is happening opposite in the real world today..

Obama who lambasted Washington thurout his campaign, is now playing in the hands of Washington power broker Jim Johnson.

Sen Obama, you have such a nice array of qualified people you know for 20 years, why need JJ's help...pick from Rev Wright or Rezko.

Anyone not voting for change (Obama) is making money off the current system of fraud and back room deals. Or they are just plain ignorant of the realities of how the good ol' U S of A's politicians work these days.

1000's dead and oil prices are through the roof.
10's of Millions of poor people and we spend Trillions on weapons.
Starving, abused, neglected children in every county across america and we build bridges to nowhere.

End the system of fraud and abuse, Vote Obama 08.

wanted Your mom to pick you mate would you or to buy your mate.
Because you are the one who would have to look at that person every

As soon the former Hillary's supporters get through their grieving it will be just fine. In the next two weeks the margin will rise to 10+. But please make it easy for Hillary's supporters to recover and to All Democrats you will win in November. I just read that the old man McCain said something about vetoing beer I think it cant get worser. What a roller coaster ride you guys have in November. Don't screw it.

and after 17 months of Obama and Hillary on TV 24/7 that is all Obama is up by 4 points.
Go McCain

Hillary 2012

I keep hearing how Hillary has to step up to the plate and help Obama win in November.
She gave her best endorsment every demicrate was happy with it. She does not have to do any more for Obama
This is after her party did everything it could to sink her bid to be president.
She ows the party and Obama nothing more. The actually ow her

This was to be a year that the DNC could really kick it and we can only claim a little lead. This should not be close. The DNC has put up an Empty Preppy Suit with a smile and no clue. What if people had actually liked Bush? Where would we be?

Liberals have been betrayed big time. I do not want to vote for McCain. Does anyone know a good party to belong to? One with some guts.

Comedy Central keeps posting: “No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her” -Susan B Anthony, 1872.

I find it interesting you'd keep posting that with no reference to who it is directed to. McCain's didn't just leave his wife when she got crippled by a car accident, but also cheated on her in her time of need with Cindy McCain who he married a month after divorcing his wife. Did you also know that McCain is also against giving equal pay to women citing that he believe it will open companies up to legal actions by women who feel they are not being given equal pay? McCain will also appoint judges to the Supreme Court who will over turn Roe vs. Wade. So my question to you would be - what is it you're pointing out with this quote without saying who you're point it toward. If it's the Democrats or the Republicans? McCain or Obama?

It's just a matter of time. The more people find out about Obama, the more people will want to vote for him. The more time people find out about John "McBush" McCain, his Keating Five days, his voting record when it comes to Veterans, his backroom land deals with Donald Diamond, and his relations with Vicki Iseman, the more people will realize that this guy is no good. He clearly is a war hero, but that's pretty much the extent of it. 40 years later, he wants to invade Iran. He wants to be in war for 100 yrs. He wants to solve the economic crisis by telling us "just go get a second job." He wants to vote against tax increases on Big Oil companies. He wants to give speeches that someone else wrote from teleprompters (since he can't string together a sentence himself; for example his "beer earmarks" snafu today). He likes to say "my friends"... a lot. A LOT. But you know what? He's not my friend, and I hope y'all are smart enough to agree that he's not a friend of America if he simply wants to continue the shameful leadership that Bush had forced upon this great nation for the past 7 years. VOTE OBAMA.

Here's the thing that confuses me about Hillary supporters... if you believe in what she believed in, why would you vote for McCain? He represents the polar opposite of everything she supports and believes in. If you actually support Hillary for everything she is trying to do for the American people, why would you throw it all away to vote for McCain? I support Obama, but if he hadn't won the nomination I would have voted for Hillary since her policy initiative and efforts are similar (despite the fact that I don't personally like her). Isn't it kind of immature to turn your back on everything Hillary has tried to do simply because she lost the nomination?

IF HILLARY IS NOT ON THE TICKET AS VP THEN:

PLAN A = HILLARY
PLAN B = MCCAIN
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STOP IT....my God...enough with the saber rattling and the spitefulness and the threats. It is Obama's decision to choose who he will govern with the best, not yours. The Clinton's will be campaigning for Barack, because, unlike you, they know Obama and Clinton are ideological twins and realize the disaster a McCain presidency will be.

Anybody who supported Hillary Clinton and is now threatening to vote for John McCain is a complete and utter traitor to Hillary Clinton. She said as much herself in her great speech last Saturday. This isn't a high school student council election that is merely about personality. Hillary and Obama share the same principles. McCain shares Bush's principles. Let's stop with the childishness and get real!

When it comes down to the election day and to the moment to cast your vote, the Hillary supporters who now say they'll vote for McCain, will have hard time ticking the box next to McCain's name. They know they would never be able to forgive themselves for betraying their party and risking their own and their children's future. You'll see. They will make the right choice in the end. They are good people after all.

I am a lifelong Democrat whose ancestors were also Democrats. Thanks to the DNC, I will NOT vote for Obama UNLESS Sen. Clinton is on the ticket with him. It is HER that I will vote for, even if I have to write in her name! I encourage other disappointed Clinton supporters to do the same. McCain will win but we'll have a trail of votes for Clinton.

To Obama Supporters,

Let the Hill Supporters say want they want to. There is a real fight on our hands and they have every right to vote for whoever they want and for whatever reason they want. The primary is over and we have to face McCain, the RNC, Fox news, and the 527. Let's being about educating those who will listen. Stop worrying about the who say you spew hatred while in their very message condemning you they do the same.

Look at it this way.
Obama starts with 18 million too. Then add 13 million of Hillary voters that say they will vote for Obama. The other are split between voting for McCain, staying at home, or coming around. Obama will be alright. If not so be it.

Plan B= McSame - Bush's 3rd term.

I think you need a Plan C = Barack Obama

Matt, Obama's not going down sweetie accept it and understand it and then realize it's happenig. To Kathy, sweetie just vote for McCain and stop threating you all are starting too sound like a broken record. Are you aware that GOP just blocked a bill to tax the oil companies profits. Those are the people that McCain has backing him. So sweetie stop with the threats. She won't be President not this time around. Maybe you can donate too her and help her pay off some off her debt. She has broken a record for the highest debt ever by any candidate. I support Obama, but, I will donate too her so she can pay that debt down.
