Unrestriced capitalism is to economics, what communism is to politics. Wake up. Sometimes goverment regulation is good thing. It avoids using taxes to bail out the economy.

Extending the Bush tax cuts and eliminating the AMT tax would cost one trillion dollars over 10 years. McCain has no plan to pay for it. The US no owes more money to other nations than what is owed the US. That makes us third world, dude.

If this is your rational then it's time to take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself if you're really voting on the issues or do you have issues you need to work out.

Before you just blindly follow the empty suit, do some research on what McCain and other candidates are really all about and if necessary, ask someone who works with finances in business just exactly what happens when revenues are down – can you say RIF??? (Reduction in Workforce for those unfamiliar). Guess it is a good thing Obama wants to increase unemployment benefits....

Please people – learn a little about it. Don't just vote Obama because you like his speech. That is not what electing a President is about. And don't fall for the nonsense about voting party line. Voting for a President is an honor and should be taken seriously. You should be voting for the person capable of running the country – not the person who should be Press Secretary.

Bill Clinton started in a recession left by Bush Sr. The mortgage crisis was created by Bush deregulating the industry to allow contractors, non-banking entities like Trump, to deal in loans. The Wall Street crisis occurrred because of deregulation and lack of oversight.

How many years of regulation would the $35 Billion Bears and Stearns fiasco have paid for? The GOP has a clear tax record of "slash and spend", which has created every recession seen in the US over the past 40 years.

I really wonder if Democrats and Liberals really want what is best for this country. Are you guys such big fans of more taxes, bigger government, and running away from Iraq so Al Qaida can take over?

Do we really take a look at the issues or we just go with the trendy anti-american setiment of the day?

These HRC supporters threatening to boycott or throw the election are the same people, who, if Hillary was winning without those delagates from Michigan and Flordia, WOULD CARE LESS about whether or not those states were even counted. It's like, complain that every vote counts when you need them and keep your mouth shut if you don't. C'mon, you think HRC would have cried foul if she were already winning? Fact is, she never counted on going past Super Tuesday.

What if Obama had won Florida and Michigan. Do you think hillary would have come out and started screaming about counting ALL the votes there??? Give me a break. You lost a close race. Deal with it. Your candidate, HRC, is already supporting Obama and she should be more upset than you.

Why did you vote for her in the first place? Because you care about the future of our country? If so, vote for Obama now. Otherwise, you either voted for her only because she is a woman or because you are racist against black people. There is no other reason why you would switch from her to McCain. If it was about issues vote Obama. If it is racism vote McCain. end of story.

When economy is not good, more people like active governmental roles in economy. In fact, there are very few countries like U.S. In Europe, Japan, China, India, Canada, Korea, Brazil, and other major countries, governments play much more active roles in economy than the U.S. Japan's government gives very detailed macro economic planning.

Are Americans ready for more governmental roles in economy? When economy is not that good, the answer is yes.

I just hope my family won't have to pay too much more taxes. We are ready to pay several thousands more a year. But if we have to pay more than 10 K a year additional taxes, we might vote against Obama because in that case, we have to cut back contributions to our 401K/IRA savinvs, or our kids educational and customdian accounts. I will check his proposals carefully after Democratic convention.

Remember, John McCain will "veto every single BEER!" lol

Oh and to clear things up, when Obama misspoke and said that there have been "57 states", he really meant 57 primary election contests.

No one speaks perfectly, but let's not forget the most notorious butcher of the English language: George W. Bush!

After seeing the results and the delegations from the state of Washington where Obam got 25 delegates on less than 30,000 votes and he got more delegates in TX and NV when Hillary won the popular vote are prime indicators that the nomination was fixed.

Obama is a typical Democrat who wants to raise taxes, but the article got the last bit wrong: Obama wants more and more government to regulate you. If he becomes President, one of the first things on his list is apparently going to be to deprive us all of any choice in medical care–not fair letting all those nasty "rich" people get better care than everyone else. And raising taxes is a fundamental deprivation of liberty–things you can't afford to do because the IRS swiped another couple thousand from your annual income are indistinguishable from things you're not allowed to do.

Obama, like most Democrats, thinks we're all irresponsible idiots incapable making any significant decision without government "help."

We are no safer now then we were for or even eight years ago. Just yesterday, the border agents captured fifteen Chinese immigrates trying to sneak into the US through Mexico. The ports are unsafe, we are farming out our Air force and railways to foreign countries.

All in all, it is not Bush’s fault we are in dire straights, it is those who chose to vote for him the second time around, and now, they are looking for a third “Bush” term through McCain? Can you say masochistic?

I wish so of the Obamaniacs out there would ask themselves "What has Obama DONE?" If you blindly believe every word uttered by him or any politician for that matter, then you ought to get your local used car salesman to run for office.

The more I read some of the comments posted here the more I'm conviced that Obama supporters like to be entertained by their candidate. Independent thinking appears to be too much of a challenge. The country would be far better off without lazy voters like that. I haven't decided who I'm voting for yet but unless I see more action and less talk from BHO, I'm not voting for him. But there is a philosophical difference about what we believe that our "community" American means. The Republican model is a system where we live to make money off of each other but one which which leads to self-protectionism so that the "haves" can keep what they have. The Democratic model is more concerned with taking care of the least. It is not all just about having money, but the distribution of it.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if when we have two coats we would give one away?...if we spend our time and resources in activites which reflect true care for our brothers and sisters? Both parties have a long way to go, but I will be sticking with the Dems this year. They do a better job. Obama to the White House!
