Is this the part where we're supposed to act surprised?

C'mon, after all the barking from Limbaugh to switch sides, the media swearing off Hillary's votes to anyone but Obama, didn't anyone else figure that 8 years of Republican rule would be enough to unite the Democrats behind their candidate regardless of who it turned out to be.

The writing's been on the wall on this for a long time. Ask anyone out there if they are better of now after Dub-ya's reign of stupidity and you'll see the fuel that will light a million votes against ANY republican presidential candidate. John McCain may have the worst timing in election history right now and is standing in front of a freight train with no brakes and a desire for a change of policies. The continuation of those now being spewed out of the White House is gonna grate a lot more than the Dems this fall.

Expect a few Republican's to jump the fence.

that's a lie. my husband and his family will never vote for Obama. I heard many people saying they won't vote for Obama. I have been shattered since Hillary was out. I am shattered by the way the democratic party treated Hillary. I feel as a woman that in the way the media and the democratic party and the people treated Hillary is a very good reflextion on how women are treated in this society. I am broken hearted and I will never vote for Obama. and the cnn media has been cencoring my posts for months, because I support Hillary. This has been the most unfair campaign and the women voices were shut down just like you normall do to women in this society. such a shame. but now it is revenge time and you will see coming November that a a lot of people will vote for McCain instead of Obama. these are all lies. the media and democratic party have been manipulated the people so well. but coming November the voices of the wonded women and senior citizens will speak up and McCain will win not Obama.

Oh yes. Obama, the great uniter - unless you happen to be one of the 18,000,000 people who voted for Hillary - and unless you happen to be one of those who won't get coverage under his health plan. So much for UNIVERSAL health care. Obama - the great uniter of a third of all America!!!!! If I wanted a split country, I would have voted for GW.

Loyal Clinton voters switching to Obama is an oxymoron, moron. Truly loyal Clinton voters couldn't possibly vote for Obama. Heck, his wife knows that because she said she wouldn't vote for Hillary if the situation was reversed.

This is indeed good news- as most of us hoped, most Hillary supporters realize that McCain is pretty much the opposite of Hillary in every way.

Many of you who CLAIM to be Hillary supporters who would support McCain over Obama, even after Hillary's very gracious and wise speech the other night, are either very stupid, or else you're just Republicans who are trying to stir up trouble for our side.

You republicans must be desperate. I'm going to REALLY enjoy watching you lose to Obama.

Don't call yourself a Hillary supporter and cast your vote for John McCain...call yourself oppressed.

McCain has an abysmal record on Women's rights, he voted "no" on The Equal Rights Amendment, "no" to women in the military, but "yes" to the trillion dollar war. Fiscal Coneservation...my patootie.

John McCain: Experience we can't afford.

He also left his paraplegic (ex) wife to date Cindy McCain. Nice.

There's only three kinds of people still rooting for Hillary to be President this year: people trapped in wells with no television, groupies who care more about visualizing themselves in Hillary's place as a means of psychological fulfillment than her issues, and Republicans trying to pull a con on everyone (far most numerous).

Anyone who looks at McCain's abysmal record on women's issues (including a zero rating from Planned Parenthood and voting against pay equality, funding for outreach programs to prevent teen pregnancies, and stated his desire to overturn Roe v Wade as recently as 2007) cannot say they're voting for him because they're fighting sexism. It's a bald-faced lie. Don't kid us and don't kid yourself---you don't care about Hillary or the issues she believes in, or you'd vote for Obama---winner of the primaries and next President of the United States.

Let's be clear here - Obama supporters don't like Clinton supporters, and Clinton supporters don't like Obama supporters - we all know the reaons why so let's just get over that now!
The state of the country is in jeopardy here - we need to unite and take back the WH.
Let's stop all the back and forth - it doesn't accomplish anything.
There are bigger issues at stake than who said what about whom - we have a very serious problem with our country and we need to do something about it now!
Let's get Obama into the WH first and then argue about who get's what post in his administration after that!!!
If you are a Clinton fan and still threatening to vote for McCain - then shame on you!

I am horiffied at watching the work of the stupifyingly biased big business media attempt to destroy the very good name and lifetime of public service of HRC.
This was supported by the Democratic hierarchy and because of the fact that they refused to count our votes and give the rightful winner the nomination I withdrew from the party. The democratic party is over.
They now share the corruption of the Republicans who stole the election for Bush, they are no different! My vote will be a write in for Hillary Clinton or McCain.
The rampant corruption, anti Americansm and aggression spurred by Obama and his flock are the worst I've ever seen in a primary. He is the devil in disguise.
NOBAMA NO WAY!

Al, get it straight Obama didn't cheat the voters in Michigan and Florida. The politicians in these states took a chance and in doing so screwed themselves and their constituency.

You also need to take a look that both these primaries were moved up wih the blessing of the Republican governors who are in office. Any yet still we are still fighting amongst ourselves. Get straight and re-direct all that anger towards the Republicans who help create that mess.

Get it straight and vote your conscience. If you believe what the Republicans are selling; then vote for them, but if you don't ,vote for Obama.

If I was a vegetarian and I ate some bad tofu, should I start to eat meat? No.

You should have a basis of morals that ideally represent you. It's more understandable to not vote, but to basically vote opposite of what you were supporting is irresponsible. You should vote for a candidate because you support his or her ideals, but not because of aggression or defiance. How could you support Clinton, then change allegiance to McCain?

Obama won the nomination. He won the most votes, states, and delegates (when you consider caucus states and give Obama at least 3/4 of Michigan's 'undecided'). Clinton ran a competitive campaign, but in the end Clinton's and Obama's policies are very similar and Obama is clearly ideal to McCain.

So, the media is to blame, Obama is a liar and if you don't get your way, you'll vote for McCain out of spite. If so, be ready for no social security, sending, another generation (or two) of sending our children to war, the abolishment of Roe vs. Wade and continued decline in wages and personal rights and ever growing costs for food and fuel, just to name a few immediate problems.

After this all takes place, will you have the guts to proudly announce you voted for McCain because Senator Clinton wasn't the democratic nominee/VP or will you silently sit and realize that your immature views caused more problems our children will inherit? Are you one of those people who spit on troops returning from Vietnam but now have several "support the troops" magnets on your SUV?

What really scares me is that the proper thing may be derailed by illiterates who seem unable to spell the simplest of words or form a basic sentence, as many who posted their drivel here. We are in trouble as a nation when the lowest common denominator of humanity rules our destiny, or at least believes that it does.

I'm a woman and a Hillary supporter. Although her speech was great, I can not, and will not, vote for either Obama or McCain. I will not bend anymore to this patriarchal society that runs women's lives. Where is my equal pay? What about my respect? Who will be my voice?

All of you Hillary fans should listen to your choice of candidate.

She's asking you to support Obama and the Democratic party.

She is not spewing sour grapes for losing and asking you to vote for McCain or to stay away from the polls. She wants you step into the voting booth and do what's best for our country.

GO!!! BHO 08

To all Clinton supporters supporting McCain I have one question. WHY?
He is the total opposite of all the issues that have been a central part of Hillary's campaign. Reproductive rights, the economy, the war, healthcare, etc.
How can anyone who has paid any attention to this election switch from Hillary to McCain. It's like a little kid who would rather break his toy rather than share it. Totally irrational.

Vote Democratic 2008
Vote Obama and his choice

NO CLINTON ON THE TICKET - NO OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT
Obama has NO substance. Go back and watch the debates- it is obvious who has a better grasp of the issues. Obama was sold to the people by the biased Media who have always hated the Clinton's, but somehow have given Bush and now Obama a free ride.
I will pick prose(the ability to govern) over poetry(the ability to give a good speech-off a teleprompter) any day.
NO CLINTON NO OBAMA

And to all of you Sebelius supporters- What is your rationale. Any woman will do. Give me a break. That would be the ultimate slap in the face to Clinton and her 18,000.000 supporters.

This makes sense unless the Clinton supporters were just voting for a woman as opposed to the issues.
This country cannot survive 4 more years of republican domination.
I welcome the Clinton supporters to the Obama group.

"Haha! you were fooled by republicans into voting for them, and now you're too poor to breathe!"

I've been looking forward to the day when stupidity becomes painful. It almost sounds worth being subjected to the results of other peoples' bad decisions, just to laugh at the situation they got themselves in. Such terrorists (i.e. people who are responsible for america's pain) do not deserve a better world anyway...

Another wishful thought....Obama does not have our votes...if we had wanted him we would have voted for him to begin with. His lack of experience, poor judgement in social events, mentors, and churches, is someone I can not trust with my future. We can all paint a pretty picture with words and promise anything to anyone. Say what you are going to do and do what you say is not one of Obama's qualities. I am a Clinton supporter and even if Hillary was in the V.P. seat on this flight to the White House I won't fly. In fact the D.N.C. has once again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I have jumped over the fence and choose to vote for the lessor of the two evils McCain.

This is good news, but not a surprise. In the end, the democratic party will unite not so much for Obama but for the good of our country. We must have a change of direction. We can not afford to keep going as we have because the problems are too great to ignore. We must address the mortgage crisis, rising energy costs, the war in Iraq, healthcare, and global warming. We can not afford to wait 4 more years to begin working on a solution.

Give me a break!! If I hear once more that the democratic party conspired against Clinton, I'll puke. The democratic party was lined up *for* her (she had a 100+ superdelegate lead over Obama at the start of the race). It was simply her campaign's strategic and tactical blunders that cost her, not the DNC.

So, let's talk about her great experience? Eight years as first lady? C'mon folks! What about Bush's experience made him a great president? Nothing....

It's about who a president surrounds her or himself with and so far Obama has done a very good job. Going from being an unknown to the Democratic Presidential candidate is quite a feat, especially as an African-American.

The pollsters haven't spoken to any of the Hillary supporters that I know!!! The media has been reporting the slanted story in favor of Obama since the beginning of this. You helped him win the primary over Hillary, the general election is another story. Nice try,,,,,

A wise choice, Hillary supporters! Had the tables been turned, you'd have all told us Obama supporters to grow up, suck it up, and get on board.
Those of you still firmly entrenched in the idea of voting for the guy who's getting older and having more senior moments every day......ask yourselves if that's what you REALLY want for your daughters, granddaughters, nieces, etc. as well as sons, grandsons, nephews. Do you want more of the same ilk on the Supreme Court as the five who gave the Lame (nee Daffy) Duck his job in the first place??? Do you want people like that dictating/deciding your daughters' rights, not to mention other important issues?
Please THINK before you go off half-cocked like the current occupant of the White House!

fight the liberal media-

how in the world is someone a thug who was editor of the Harvard Law Review and taught constitutional law? Who lives in one of the most integrated neighborhoods in Chicago?

what happened to "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen?" Got news for all of you bitter people--a lot of people voted for Obama TOO.

I would like JUST ONE person who claims they are voting for McCain (or not voting at all) instead of Obama (Clinton backers) to give me a coherent, policy-oriented answer as to why they would choose getting about 0-5% of their chosen candidates's agenda accomplished, as opposed to 90-95% (with minor differences in health care, which given a choice between HRC's plan and none at all, I think Barack would be happy to approve if you paid attention to the man).

I have yet to see one.

This means no answers like "he's a loser, an empty suit, he has no experience, he lies, etc etc" that we have already seen. WHY did you vote for Hillary (if it was just because she was a woman, that's really no better than someone voting for Barack b/c he's Black, which MORE people seem to have a problem with for some odd reason).

If it was because she's white, or she's better known, at least be HONEST. By the way, as a Black man, I say....It's OK to be a closet racist, just be true to feelings instead of making up excuses lol.

If it's based on policy position (you know, the stuff that actually affects our daily quality of life...duh), then WHY is it such a big deal? I really need to know.

We have tried the Republican way of economic policy for 8 years. It failed and it continues to the path of depression. We have to stop McCain.

By the way, someone is racking up record profit on Oil. They know the good time will end if Barack is elected president.
