DNC moving operations to Chicago

The DNC is making plans to move a large portion of its operations to Chicago .

WASHINGTON (CNN) – The Democratic National Committee announced Thursday that a significant part of their operations would be moving from Washington to Chicago, the home of the Obama campaign.

“We've begun a transition period here at the DNC that fully integrates our operations in DC with the Obama operation in Chicago and in the states,” DNC spokeswoman Karen Finney tells CNN. “Our goal is to quickly consolidate these efforts into one operation and effectively drive one national strategy.”

The political, field and constituency operations are being moved to Obama's Chicago headquarters, while the research and communications departments will remain in DC.

After winning the nomination, Obama decided to keep Howard Dean on as chairman of the DNC, and sent over senior aide Paul Tewes to oversee the collaboration.

“When the nominee comes in, we essentially merge the Democratic National Committee with the campaign of the presidential candidate,” Dean told reporters on Tuesday, “there’s not going to be a coordination problem.”

Finney emphasized that the goal is for Obama and DNC staffers to feel part of “one big team” and to eliminate any redundancies. She pointed to 2004 as an example of when the Kerry campaign and DNC resources wastefully overlapped.

DNC staffers in Washington will also have the opportunity to work in other states – both the Obama campaign and the DNC have staff in all 50 states and many will work under the same roof.

“The blending of the cultures is not hard at all, it’s pretty seamless,” said Finney.

Details are still being worked out, how many staffers and who will technically employ them is still unclear.

Clinton supporters should not unite with the Kennedy supporters.
Kennedy politics are a thing from the past and can not work in these times.
Clinton supporters must keep unite with each other and keep the Kennedy's out of the White House

Of course Chicago - home of the ultimate corrupt Democratic machine! It’s where Obama:
    • Played "hardball" (DIRTY!) in his first Chicago Senate campaign.
    • Used "Chicago rules" to invalidate voting petition signatures of his 3 challengers
    • Challenged every single one on “technicalities”
    • If names were printed instead of written, they were declared invalid.
    • If signatures were good but the person gathering the signatures wasn't "properly" registered, those petitions also were thrown out
    • "It's not the tactics of 'let's all people come together and put your best ideas forward and the best ideas win,” as he now likes to claim
    • In the end, he made sure voters had just one choice - HIM

    Of course Chicago!
    • It’s the home of David Axelrod (Obama’s “brain”).
    • Before starting to “package” and “sell” Obama, Axelrod was mostly visible in Chicago the last decade as Mayor Daley’s public relations strategist - the guy who goes on TV to defend Daley from charges of CORRUPTION.

Good God, people - WAKE UP!

  9. YES WE CAN + YES WE WILL= DEMS IN WHITE HOUSE

Thank goodness for this let those brilliant , loyal people that has been helping Obama manage his personal campaign help to manage the National one maybe the DNC will learn how it should be done this time!!!

The only thing I worry about is those from the Clinton team that will be working with Obama, I really don't trust any of them to be truly loyal to Obama, plus they had so much infighting I'm not so sure they will fit in. Also they did not prove themselves to be to effective for Hillary. I just think Obama really needs to rethink using any of them.

Change is already happening. God really loves this country and once in a while sends a leader to remind her who she is and her role on earth. The question is, are we going to take advantage of it and vote for real change or are we going to vote for fear ... AGAIN!

What a great idea. Once Mr. Obama loses the general election, Democratic voters can simply abandon the current failed leadership of the “Old” DNC in Chicago and get about the business of rebuilding the party from the ground up back in Washington. Perhaps Democrats can even win back the White House someday!

The “New” DNC will be focused on educating and informing voters about core American and Democratic values and how these values should guide one in the voting booth. The goal of the “New” DNC will be to help voters choose qualified, patriotic candidates who are not only right for America, but right for the Democratic party and who can actually win elections based on experience, temperament and respect for all Americans. The “New” DNC will not be sound-bite and media driven but will actually be a party of the people. I can’t wait!

Hillary and her henchmen will not hijack decision. Let her take 18 million voters that will not give her a dollar to help her out of dept and vote McSame so that even if we loose we win because we will get the last laugh when McSame fights to take away their rights instead of getting them more like Obama would.
McSame if he get the chance CHOICE is gone.
McSame if he get the chance GAY MARRAGE gone.
McSame if he get the chance EQUAL PAY is gone.
I will be ok trust me, but many of you will suffer under him.
