The Obama campaign has launched a new Web site to confront false rumors.

(CNN) — Barack Obama's campaign has launched a Web site designed to directly confront internet rumors about the Illinois senator, Time Magazine's Karen Tumulty first reported.

“The Obama campaign isn’t going to let dishonest smears spread across the internet unanswered," Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor said. "Whenever challenged with these lies we will aggressively push back with the truth and help our supporters debunk the false rumors floating around the internet. This website is an action center that allows supporters to upload their address books and send emails to all of their friends. It’s not enough to just know the truth, we have to be proactive and fight back."

MAYBE YOU ARE THE ONE ON THE DOWN LOW….

Carly   June 12th, 2008 11:22 am ET

WOW! I am kind of taken aback at all the hate and BOLDFACE LIES on this page!!!

CNN please help all the candidates out and start censuring comments that contain at the very least OBVIOUS BOLDFACE LIES about any of the candidates still running. Visitors to the ticker, would be sure to appreciate it.

carla   June 12th, 2008 11:21 am ET

Most former Presidents had no problems using their full names. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry S Truman,Dwight David Eisenhower,John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Lyndon Baines Johnson,
Richard Milhous Nixon, Gerald Rudolph Ford, James Earl Carter,
Ronald Wilson Reagan,George Herbert Walker Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, and George Walker Bush Laura were not afraid to use their full names. WHY IS OBAMA AFRAID TO USE HIS FULL NAME??? Hmmm

randy   June 12th, 2008 11:21 am ET

Some people are so ignorant that the reason for the ignorancy is because the can stand to see a black man to be president well shame on you all.

Hey Bobby, first off the number is over $250K. My household income is over $250K and the point is to make sure people who are not as fortunate can still be able to go to the doctor or eat. You may have to cut out a couple of trips to Martha's Vineyard. Big deal. Your preident is the one hwo has us in a was that costs $12 bilion a month. First time ever t that a presiendt cut taxes while the country was at war. 80% of the people you would see their taxes go up are the same ones who elected Mr. Bush so now they have to deal with it.

go away mongers-ventura ca   June 12th, 2008 11:20 am ET

This time the Democratic candidate has no intention of sitting back and letting the mongers have a field-day. This "Internet President" will fight fire with fire and the mongers can take notice now–IT WON'T WORK THIS TIME!

Rena   June 12th, 2008 11:20 am ET

Boy! Obama is really a proactive leader who knows how to handle crazy, immature, and important issues. Unlike, some who don't even know how to get on the internet or operate a computer. I am one who takes my hat off to McCain for his great service in the military but he knows nothing about running this country. He is a follower and not a leader.

I mean to result to trying to get dirt on someone is pretty pathetic. I mean if this is the best they can do to try and eliminate their opponent then they are in trouble. Besides, his birth certificate is none of their business and neither ours. If presenting your birth certificate was an open policy then why do our government have it as a sensitive document; because it's fools like those who want access to someone personal information for their own profitable gain. Why don't we just put all our information out there for everyone to see? Idiots, as if theft identity is not on the high rise. There's no telling what they will do with this man information to distort him. We all no Republicans are a bunch of crooks and thieves trying to hide under God. That's why they do so well because they are a bunch of hypocrite who can deceive the best like some of you. Get a life!!!!

Carmen   June 12th, 2008 11:20 am ET

If people think Obama is on the down low how dumb or does it matter. Look at McCain, he left his sick wife for a wealthy young chick. So why personal life if you were not there first hand. People evern if we don't like a candiate what is this nonsense going to do for or to them. Mccain and Obama have to live up to a standard now, not what was or shoulda coulda in the past. Get a life.

Jeff in Illinois   June 12th, 2008 11:20 am ET

Very smart move! I get at at least one email every day packed full of rediculous lies and misquotes about Obama. What's funny is, I NEVER see a lie-mail about McCain. I guess only Neoconservative Republicans are afraid enough to spend their time making up this garbage.

If you can't find anything REAL wrong with Obama, then why don't you just vote for him? The sad part is, there are a lot of people who are very easily fooled who actually take these liemails for fact.

Charlotte   June 12th, 2008 11:19 am ET

R.I.F….You are the idiot. Rumors such as you attempt to use are really obvious in the stupitity of that type of rumor. I believe Barry is covering up the truth about himself. I have a gut feeling I can not shake about Obama. I do not believe the Larry Sinclair rumor. The drug use could be true based on his own admission, so there..

Carl   June 12th, 2008 11:19 am ET

So, it's called a smear when you go after Obama, but it's called "justified and truth" when you go after anyone else…

yet again another reason not to vote for him.

Web Developer   June 12th, 2008 11:19 am ET

Anyone anywhere with internet access can say anything they want. It's true - that is the down side of the web. As a web developer, I know how easy it is to fake things. But it is also a wonderful tool when used properly.

It's sad to see that there are people gullible enough to believe everything they read online - including stories based on racism, sexism and smears. Get the real facts.

It's one thing to be against the position of candidates or even to personally think someone is too old or too young or senile or too inexperienced or just to have a different stance. It's another to spread lies or just repeat them without knowing the facts.

When you make decisions based on race, gender or rumor, sorry, in my opinion, you don't deserve to vote. There really ought to be some kind of reality test for voting… like for driving.

These voters are just dangerous.

Chris, Middletown, CT   June 12th, 2008 11:19 am ET

Harry C   June 12th, 2008 11:17 am ET

Marty wake-up! Glad that Obama is going to do this, so much of the crap we see and hear on TV is a figment of someone's imagination or an out and out lie, the problem is that the socalled news networks thrive on this garbage and do not bother to verify what they are helping spread. Hell the truth might hurt their ratings…Too bad it is not possible for a candidate to file suit against these liars.; wow then this crap would stop.. Imagine what a political campaign would be like if only the truth was permitted to be spoken.. WOW! McSHAME would not even get his mother's vote. The Republican party would be history…so to would many of todays socalled Democrats. GO OBAMA!
OBAMA will win in a LANDSLIDE! You saw it here first.

Jeff   June 12th, 2008 11:17 am ET

This whole "Yes We Can" approach is starting to get creepy. People are following this guy like he's some sort of "saviour." I think I remember another leader famous for his chanting supporters and dismissive of any dissidence. Can anyone say "Heil Obama"?

Peter E   June 12th, 2008 11:16 am ET

And why do some people here think that this "fact-checking" is in any way an original idea that shows "change" and "leadership?" Republicans have had such websites for years. Those were full of partisan bias, and I do not expect Obama's site to be in any way more reliable.
Oh, but it MUST be different because it's Obama…

If there is one rumor I'd love to see the fact-checks on is the number one "Obama is different." Over and over again we have seen overwhelming evidence against this. His platform and voting records are an almost replica of Hillary's. (CNN had a comprehensive, detailed article on this) He too voted for the reauthorization of Iraqi money and the Patriot Act. (you can check the voting record on the US Senate's website) He too has taken money from oil executives. (see a lovely Newsweek article on that one)
So please show me evidence that Obama is in any way different!

You want real change with a record that shows that actions speak louder than words? Vote Ron Paul!

dtaylor   June 12th, 2008 11:16 am ET

Judy- please explain how tracking down bloggers = voter fraud??

Jackie   June 12th, 2008 11:16 am ET

OMG - I can't believe all the things that are being said here. What presidential candidate has ever had to make their birth certificate public? Are you asking John McCain to post his birth certificate? Did you ask Hillary? Because of Obama's name and background Americans think there is the big conspiracy going on. Educated yourselves - have a college degree doesn't mean anything.

Yeah some republicans are all over cnn.com to here and pure there hateful statements and lies.we the americans don't belive any lies that you neo conns are speculating on this blog.

B.M.   June 12th, 2008 11:16 am ET

If this dispels any of the rumors I would be surprised,if it works great, but then I would expect Fox news and the 3 networks to do 30 minute news shows about Obama and these rumors…I can hear it now"Are the rumors true?"and then 30 minutes of repeating the rumors, and nothing, not a word about how they are made up.
I am sick of the media in this country, tired of them manipulating our elections.
I think Obama has a good plan for America, and could care less about the other garbage even if it happened to be true. The fact of the matter is we cannot afford another 4 years like the last 8.I would have voted for Mickey Mouse if he was the Democratic nominee this year.I have voted for the best candidate all my life, sometimes republican, sometimes democrat. Now the choice is clear, mine is a vote AGAINST republicans more than it is a vote for Obama.

Leonard Bogard   June 12th, 2008 11:16 am ET

I am a republican, but I believe Obama will win. Everyone that considers themselves a victim will relate to Obama, such as women, certain ethnic groups, gays, legal and illegal immigrants. Since the majority of people in our country seem to be victims, I believe Obama will probably get the majority of the vote.

I'm praying for you, your family but more importantly our beloved Nation. We need you in the White House in January 2009. We need a President who understands all people, who will end the war in Iraq and go kill Bin Laden, and who will provide Universal Health Care and repair our reputation in the World. "Morning in America, Democratic style.

God sees what these people are trying to do to you, and He is watching them and taking notes. From the lies about you being a Muslim to his very ill individual, Mr. Sinclair. God sees them and He will judge them for all their lies about you.

Barack is akin to a high school student who just graduated from "space camp" and now has been chosen to Command the next Nasa Space Shuttle Mission to Mars? His experience when this campaign gears up and gets closer to the fall will falter on that one note alone. He cannot ride above substance in a national campaign.

Michigan for Obama   June 12th, 2008 11:14 am ET

Some of these comments just amaze me! If your team loses a game do you cry foul too? Did the Red Wings honestly win the Stanley Cup, etc?

In every contest - whether a game or election - there are winners and losers.

I have rooted for candidates and teams that have lost but don't go around smearing the winners…let's see some maturity and reasonable thoughts in these comments!

It's a shame that in 2008 the republicans still win an election without dirty tactics. That shows the true weakness of their brand and their party. What you are saying is when Obama gets in I will get a pay raise……My family has an income over $200K and we have what is called a budget (try it) we allready pay a ton in taxes more the some people make it. If he raises my taxes to $40% I may not be able to afford my house I live in Boston and $200K a year is not that much

Explain to me how that is fair…..Currently I can afford my house yet if Obama is elected we will not be able to afford it. This is awful and because I am educated and make a decent living someone is going to take MORE of what I have earned and redistibute it.

If you like that kind of system you should move to Venezuala or Cuba. Democrats make me sick. Dont worry I will keep working to support you libs

Irene   June 12th, 2008 11:09 am ET

I do not think Obama is Muslim but there is something I don't just get. Do we have Americans that are Muslims or better still does an American have a right to be a Muslim? Are we saying that a legitimate American citizen, who is a Muslim can never run for presidency in America? Are we saying by reason of someone being a Muslim, they are automatically non-patriotic or that their mission for presidency would solely be to hand over America to terrorist? I guess we are just hypocrites! We advocate for freedom of religion, expression, etc. and then try to nail people down for their choices or even make their lives miserable.
By this I am not in anyway, suggesting a possibility of Obama being a Muslim.

Well charles ,why want anyone that has nothing to hide not post his birth certificate to public scrutiney. I can think of a couple of reasons. 1. It might show the real place of birth. 2. It might show his real name. 3. It will give the names of the parents listed on it. So if it doesn't have no negative information then go for it. Oh by the way everyone in this house including myself have college educations ranging from a bachelors degree to masters.

Sebastian   June 12th, 2008 11:07 am ET

We've not really had a battle in a presidential election for 8 years … an eternity with the pace of online technology. Very smart move by a very smart campaign. All those critics that though Obama would be a pansy, soft, vulnerable roll-over candidate for the GOP Mean Machine were dead wrong.

This campaign is tech-savvy and not STUCK in the PAST like the GOP. ( for example … McCain wanting to apply the Korea War model to Iraq on the sly … that's not what we signed up for … anyway)

We see how the speed of YouTube and bloggs has made this a more honest race. How tactics that worked in past elections won't work anymore. Lies & half-truths that use to be effective are revealled for what they are … for example a candidate saying that "when we bring troops home is NOT IMPORTANT" … I had to run from sniper fire … etc.

John McCain, I hope you can keep the GOP in order and stop their BS. It will be the death of you in this election if you don't. American is tired of it and the Democrats are pissed!

David in Seattle   June 12th, 2008 11:07 am ET

First let me say that I can respect those that vote for either candidate based on the values they have and the issues on the table.

I have no respect for Clinton supporters that choose to vote McCain out of spite for Obama. That clearly oozes with the puss of reverse sexism and racism. The next time you take out the trash, take those attitudes with you.

I for one have received hundreds of smear letters aimed at Clinton, Mcain and Obama in my email. Interestingly enough, without exception all of the smear letters that I received had no reference to what their source was. That says it all for me. If you cant quote a source then you have no basis in fact from which to justify your claims.

I chose to do the research myself on all three candidates through the internet and to spend the time listening to what they had to say in their respecitive speeches.

There is a whole lot of crap out there floating around that is totally unfounded and has no bering in any truth anywhere.

My put to all of us in this country is to do your own research, make your own decisions and pay little to no attention to the smear letters that come into your inbox…..unless of course they actually reflect their sources…those might just have an ounce of truth to them somewhere.

What is so amazing about all these rumors is that they are directly contradictory… I mean… many won't vote for him because of his Christian pastor/church but they also think he's Muslim. It's just ridiculous.

I really don't see how anyone can read his stand on issues and listen to him speak and watch him and not see what millions see — that this is a truly gifted speaker, very intelligent and adamant that he will take a careful, considered approach to decisions with input from experts advising him. And the way he consistently was respectful to Hillary Clinton personally throughout everything — this will be a great man.

Free your mind of the old hates, fears and prejudices. I'm a white, 54yr. old woman born in Texas. I don't see his color - I see his spirit and drive and caring for the American public. If you've even a little bit curious - open your eyes and take a good look at this man.

Free your mind and the rest will follow. Be color blind, don't be so shallow.

Why did he attend a radical anti- American church for twenty years that call white people whitey. Fact 2. Why is he friends with People like "Ayers" who is a known domestic terriost. Fact 3. Why doesn't he want to use his middle name. Fact 4. why will he not release his birth certificate for public scrutiney. What is so damaging about it. Why do you think Obama doesn't want town hall meetings? Because he is absolutely dreadful in debates. He pulled himself out of debates with Hillary because he knew he'd make a stuttering fool out of himself AGAIN.

All Barack IS good at is reading prepared speeches. Oh, and I just crack up every time I see him holding his head at a "Presidential angle." He looks like he's posing for a statue.

What a clown!

I used to be Republician…a disabled, Vietnam Vet female….have been since Regan ran for President…however when a gentleman started running for the office named Obama…I started taking interest…went to his web site…listened to his speeches…he struck me as a 21st century Jack Kennedy…then both Ted and Caroline endorce him…then Caroline wrote her article…I was unaware of her article untill after I switched my party designation…some say he has no clear-cut solution on the issues…NOT SO…some say he has no idea what is going on in the Middle East…NOT SO…Obama is the best choice!!!

Proud ex-Republican   June 12th, 2008 10:59 am ET

If anyone wonders why I left the party and became an independent, just read the hate filled comments coming from them.

I it it weren't that way. There are so many issues that we need to resolve and I just felt that the party was more interested in playing to the lowest level of supporters.

At this point the Republicans just remind me of a angry mob, tearing down anyone who isn't exactly like them and will not compromise or listen to reason.

IT'S OUR GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DENOUNCE THESE RUMORS ABOUT OBAMA, THEY KNOW THE TRUTH.

Democrat in 08!   June 12th, 2008 10:58 am ET

Well its about time these rumors are getting ridiculous. Serious people had to setup a website for those who buy into the right smears attempt. And yes his middle name is hussein get over it! You know if he really wanted to take over this country and destory it like these people proclaim than he wouldn't call himself Barack Hussein Obama you know just a thought. I think he would probably have change his name to something less "threatening" you know just a thought. I mean this is not a good way to avoid attention with that name. I can't believe we are still talking about a name just when I thought the accusations could not get anymore dumb. I don't know how people can be republicans I respect their decision to pick their own party because it represents their values. But I wouldn't want to be apart of a party that spends more time smearing others with lies than talking about the real issues. It's sad what the republican party has become there use to be respect now they have gone too far with these ridiculous attacks.

Glad he open the new site but with the number of crazies out there not sure it will do much good.

It's so disappointing to see and hear the hatred that exists in the U.S. These blogs are seen and read all over the world. We look so dull to the rest of the world it is amazing. I hope our children do a better job of being united then we have done.

The hatred is just pathetic, simple minded and really, really sad.

By the way, who enslaved whom in the US. Seems to me the folks with a real axe to grind are not the crazies ranting and raving on this blog.

We have witnessed voter fraud in the caucuses and the DNC handing the nomination to Obama.

I am beginning to believe the polls are rigged and are in Obama's camp - another example of fraud?

Everyone I know says they will not vote for Obama under any circumstances.

Who are they polling?

Anita from Arizona   June 12th, 2008 10:58 am ET

McCain has NO economic plan for me, (income at 30,000 a year). Do you think taxing only 300,000 of the wealthiest people will take care of our country's debt. It's not enough. Bush has dug us in a huge hole.

DGD   June 12th, 2008 10:57 am ET

Mr. McShame (that works for Bush)

Mr. CHANGE (that works for us)

I will choose the honorable CHANGE!

This campaign has brought out the worst in people. Statistics show that 1 in every 5 people have a mild to severe mental impediment. Some of those people like to blog. But for the rest of us fair minded Americans: we can no longer allow those who have divided this country along racial lines to live comfortably with their disease. If you disagree with Sen. Obama about the issues, that's your choice and right but the bile that comes from the mouth of some adult American people is repulsive.

“What you won’t hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge, and patriotism as a bludgeon — that sees our opponents not as competitors to challenge, but enemies to demonize. Because we may call ourselves Democrats and Republicans, but we are Americans first. We are always Americans first.” - Barack Obama, June, 2008

Its the majority of Democrats who are ready for real change. You staunch Clinton "supporters" had better get used to the idea of President Obama. You will not hold this country hostage with your immaturity and vindictiveness. You may not believe its fair (although no one had a problem with MI & FL until someone was losing), but voting is a right people died for and you abuse it by using it against someone then for something. Not only that, but you insult me and others who have family in Iraq by supporting a man who says when they come home is "not important". It is IMPORTANT TO US EVERYDAY they are there. Not only do you disgust me, you disappoint me as a fellow American.

Farrell, Houston, Tx   June 12th, 2008 10:53 am ET

If we had never been at war with Iraq would Obama be accused of being a Muslim, of course not. However, someone would spread some type of rumor and hide their hand. Do Americans feel safer now, of course not, because if so false rumors of Obama being a Muslim wouldn't continue. This is all part of the Bush's administrations fear factor that was successfully planted in the heads of some Americans for re-election of Bush and war with Iraq. If we can't find bin Laden in the Mideast with all the intelligence available, don't you think with Obama living right under our noses as an American citizen our government would have undercovered the truth. Isn't it our Governments responsibility to denounce the rumors about Obama, yes it is, but they won't because they don't want you to know the truth.

I think that instead of providing an uneducated explanation as to why you won't vote for Obama such as, he won't show his birth certificate(which he has and i'm sure you feel very uneducated right now), his religion(you people refuse to believe the man is Christian when your so-called present Christian president could care less about you. Thats why he gave you $600 and Iraq billions). I don't care who you vote for. Thats your choice. But if you're going to give a reason, try not to make yourself look stupid by coming up with something that actually makes sense or just tell the truth about why you won't vote for him. Be grown ups for a change.

Mips   June 12th, 2008 10:52 am ET

This is great work Obama. Since there is no such thing as "THE TRUTH," Obama is smart to start this website. At the end of the day, the only thing we can judge all of the presidential candidates is their word and their record of choices in government. Obama has intelligent answers for the issues, he can enjoy having sex with porcupines for all I care. Just get the job done.

Now that she has lost the primary and cannot be your president, you might as well make sure that none of her policies are reflected in the positions of the next president. IF you cannot have Hillary then you definitely do not want her policies to be enacted for the country. If we all suffer under McCain for 4 more years then Hillary will have a better chance of being elected in 2012.

Could someone in all honesty tell me what is wrong, exactly what is wrong with being a Muslim? I thought we were free in this country to practice whatever religion we wish to. The founding fathers certainly thought so. This is surely a land of stark contrasts and MUCH hypocrisy.

This is brilliant, especially when one thinks of the power of the internet & search engines. The most vulgar rumors get traction when spread thru the net as most reputable media organizations won't air them on their networks or print publications. So, with this website, not only does Obama fight fire with fire but if someone wants to do an internet search on one of these "rumors" they'll be able to get directed to Obama's anit-rumor site. Sandi,

Check your math. The government (state & local) get 15% of your money at the gas pump. The evil oil company take 4%, then invest in exploration and development while the government wants to hit them with "windfall profits" taxes.

The underlying problem is the the US won't allow for exploration and development in the US or offshore US (while Cuba is drilling 60 miles away from Florida in international waters).

Americans have become used to having someone "else" pay for their lifestyle. You can thank Greenpiece, the Sierra Club, and the liberal political establishment for the price of oil today.

I too would be more inclined to support Obama if he stopped this "I'm a victim of a world conspiracy" strategy and instead focused on issues. Sure, it got him a lot of sympathy, but that doesn't make up for the fact that in debates so far he had a hard time answering any questions about his own voting record and his stance on issues. (the latter of which, for those who actually go into fact-checking, is almost an exact replica of Hillary's)
Obama supporters criticized Hillary when she started playing the "victim" game. It is time they applied the same standards to their own candidate.

Dave C - NJ   June 12th, 2008 10:34 am ET

HEY JUDY!

The media DOES dispell the dumb rumors.

Your point? lol

Mike D.   June 12th, 2008 10:33 am ET

This is great! Obama's detractors can't seem to deal in facts…that leaves them nothing but the rumor mill.

Gobama

His relationships with hate mongers such as Farrakhan and Wright, which have all been true facts is what makes me not vote for this man. The fact that he called his grandmother a "TYPICAL WHITE PERSON that had made racist remarks that made him cringe…" in his so called GREAT SPEECH should show everyone that he thinks all whites are racist. Can you even imagine John McCain or Hillary Clinton saying somebody was a "TYPICAL BLACK PERSON" now that would have been a uproar and they would have had to apologize if not stepped down. This is all FACT and that is why this LIFELONG DEMOCRAT with his family and many friends will look else where this fall in the election. Now lets see if CNN will print this since they are wanting all the polls to show how well Obama is doing since Hillary stepped down.

Why would a woman ever vote for McCain?   June 12th, 2008 10:33 am ET

This is about more than Roe vs. Wade. Obama has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood. While McCain has consistently voted against women's issues such as affordable health insurance for our children, equal pay for women, making birth control part of employee health care benefits and cancer screenings for low income women. Someone give me a reasonable explanation for why any woman in her right mind would vote for this man? You're a liar if you say you are supporting Hillary by voting for a man who is against everything she stands for.

Janey for Hillary/McCain   June 12th, 2008 10:33 am ET

Dream on CNN–as if Obama is above "smearing". He just doesn't want any more of his radical past to surface–and will think up excuses to throw them under the train –Join grandma, Wright, the Priest,Johnson, Rezko, Sinclair Ayers, Trinity and who knows how many others. Everyone but his deserter dad. He is so busy trying to cover up his past–he can't campaign on issues–just tries to smear Mr McCain.

All you republicans really don’t know a thing. You complain about the current economic situation, and then vote to have it continue. Quit your complaining and Grow Up! You are the people who got us here by voting for Bush, and all you so called democrats who say you wont vote for Obama if Hillary doesn’t win the nom..you are truely idiots! If you think McCain is going to offer you a better life in the next 4 years of the same..then you dont deserve to be and are NOT true Democrats!
Hillary and Obama are so similar on the IMPORTANT issues, that it really doesnt matter which one wins, as long as a Democrat wins.
You people need to THINK about the long term..and if you're pissed off that Hillary wont be the DN..too bad! Suck it up and be a REAL DEMOCRAT! Be loyal to your party..but voting for McCain is just stupidest thing you people could ever do. Then you deserve what you get if he wins…which will be not only recession, but most likely a depression. The war that never ends, gas prices over 10.00 gal, good luck getting any equity out of your homes. No good healthcare, and no SSI, and he'll probably enforce the draft, so say goodbye to your sons and daughters, because with this war going on forever, he will need more in the military.
GOD help us all!

OBAMA 08!!

H   June 12th, 2008 10:32 am ET

POOR OBAMA. HOPE HE DOES NOT HAVE TO CRY TOO MUCH. IT IS WHAT I CALL EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY AND HIS TIME WILL COME. THE LIES AND HATE AGAINST HILLARY THAT HE AND HIS SUPPORTERS DID WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT THEM..

jeremy   June 12th, 2008 10:32 am ET

I don't get why so many people insist on including Obama's middle name when they reference him, like they're trying to insinuate that his middle name is proof that he's hiding some dark side of himself. By that logic, it's obvious then that people who who are named Charles are all psychotics, since they share the same name as Charles Manson.

Republican for Obama   June 12th, 2008 10:31 am ET

Chris,

You sir are a liar! I have read his books and they said none of that. I think people like you saw the headline and decided to spam the blog with new rumors just for fun.

Michelle:

If you actually went to the page you would see that Obama has a copy of his birth certificate there to dispel that rumor.

Come on people is this the best hate you can come up with? Please at least put some plausible thought into your rumors before putting this stupid stuff up here.

Julian Etim   June 12th, 2008 10:31 am ET

I feel sorry for those Clintonites, Floridians and Michiganians that still hold grudges and swear they will sit home on jump to Mcsame train in November. Another Republican win will definte make them cry in the dark for another 8 years.

Vote Bush /Mcsame If you like.

sison   June 12th, 2008 10:30 am ET

Barack and Michele Obama should grow up. Barack is running for President and America cannot afford a President who will deal with personal issues before America's issues. Barack should direct the budget for tracking down rumours to a more useful project that will boost the economy.
Barack and Michele are rookies who need to prove something to themselves and to the public. This is the reason why Hillary Clinton would have made an excellent Democratic nominee against McCain. Hillary has been there, done it and she will be able to focus on resolutions and the real issues. Hillary truly loves her country and has displayed unselfishness despite the fact that the media and her colleagues treated her unfairly.
Hillary, we know you will rise again and this time as a better candidate and more love for your country. God bless you.

Dave C - NJ   June 12th, 2008 10:30 am ET

Who cares what religion he is anyway, you stupid bigots.
What makes any of you any better? I was raised Protestant and I realize that I live in 2008 and don't give a sh1t what another persons religion is. Religion is ancient hold-over that has no place in modern society anyway when used to justify attacks against fellow persons. What happened to "judge not lest ye be judged"??? Primative times and primative people wrote the bible, not God. I believe in a God but NOT the biblical interpretation.

And to all you HILLARY SUPPORTERS FOR MCCAIN! LOFL! Sorry the polls show you have NO IMPACT! Obama's numbers stand for themselves. Besides WHY would you vote for someone that Hillary herself denounces? You are pathetic.

D.J.   June 12th, 2008 10:29 am ET

I'm glad Obama's campaign will work to disprove the b.s. before it gains any real strength. So many of Hillary's sheep are still holding on to the hope fo the whole Larry Sinclair thing even though he failed polygraphs and said he had no real proof. They keep coming up with a new date where all will be told. It's dumb and beyond belief that someone would still believ that crap. Also, it saddens me that Sen. Obama's family is now having to endure the blatant racism of the right wing. His daughters are being referred to as nappy headed hos. His wife is being referred to as his babymama. And it's the MSM that's doing it at this point. Unconscionable acts of unforgivable, inexcusable bigotry that should have died a long time ago right along with Jim Crow. But the one thing this election season has done is pull the white sheets out of many Americans' closets and pull the wool out of many other Americans' eyes. And the world is indeed watching. The Republican nominee gets carte blanche to use a known racial slur against Asians because he was imprisoned by Asians. So if he had been captured and imprisoned by Africans, would it be acceptable for him to use the n-word? Publicly? I'm pretty sure he uses it out of camera range. Obama's new website is a necessity and I'm glad they have it.

Wade   June 12th, 2008 10:29 am ET

Europe wants Obama for President.

Bush politics failed and McCain is a joke.

Go Obama!!!

Judy   June 12th, 2008 10:29 am ET

I think it is frightening - he has teams hunting down on the blogs comments. sounds like the voter fraud deal - now we are threatening people for free speech.
