What are these Clinton supports angry about? Didn't Obma EARN the most delegates? Are they so bitter to throw away their privilidge to vote and support someone who's views are not inline with their own? Grow up...I don't know much about McCaskill, but let's way and see what BHO does...

Whoever Obama's vice presidential pick is to be, even though Hillary Clinton is my choice, I will support him in the general election. A female vice presidential pick could be slightly unsettling for some Democrats if she isn't Senator Clinton, though. OBAMA 08

Hello people. When American's want "CHANGE", that is exactly what it means. Change means "change". Why are you still trying to keep Hillary or McCain apart of it. Change does not mean "status-quo". That is why so many are having trouble with this approach by Obama and the democratic party. You can't look for change if you are using the same persons with the same old approaches and ideas. Look were it got us so far.

She is a good woman and good Senator. Unfortunately Obama should not pick her. He needs to balance his ticket with someone that can provide wither experience or foreign policy credentials. My favorite VP choice is Jim Webb from Viriginia. He served in the Reagan administration. He appeals to Democrats, Republicans and Independents. Hillary is a possibility but the problem would be Bill Clinton. Once he looks into Bill Clinton's foundation and if he does not find anything damaging as far as Bill's donors, then he may decide to pick Hillary if he is in a close race with McCain. If he has a comfortable lead then he probably will not pick Hillary Clinton

She's a qualified and progressive individual. However, I think that if there is a woman on the ticket other than Hillary Clinton, it will unjustifiably enrage her supporters. At this poiint, I think we can safely say that some Hillary supporters are completely irrational and do a disservice to Sen. Clinton herself. But to Hillary's credit, THE VAST MAJORITY OF HER SUPPORTERS WILL CONTRIBUTE AND VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA IN NOVEMBER! Why? Because they know what's at stake at this point of our nations history.

Get over it...vote, don't vote, move to Mexico/Canada nobody cares for all the whining! There are those of us with more pressing concerns...war, economy, WAR, NAFTA, war......

For those suggesting that McCaskill's appointment would be nothing more than appeasement to Hillary supports--do you truly believe that Hill is the only woman qualified to be VP? Are you so sexist that you truly believe that McCaskill would represent nothing but political manipulation just because her name isn't Clinton?

Obama owes Hillary supports nothing. Those who say that any woman nominee would have to be Clinton or wouldn't earn their vote, need to surrender their stripes. As a woman, I'm ashamed of what Clinton and her supporters have done to the feminist movement. I'm not alone, either--The Nation had a fantastic piece outlining why so many feminists feel that Hill has done irreparable harm to women in politics. I agree.

LADIES, LADIES, LADIES....

We better WAKE up when it comes to John McCain. He's does NOT care about us, or our women issues. He was clearly voted NO against the Senate Bill for "equal pay" for women. So WHAT the hell does that tell YOU? You would have to be a FOOL to vote for a man who voted for a war AND who voted NO on a bill giving women "equal pay" in the work force.

John McBush will also reverse ROE vs. WADE by appointing more OLD and BITTER men who don't want women to have a say when it comes to their own bodies!

WAKE UP LADIES!! This old and crumpy man will make your life a living HELL and this includes the life of your daughters as well.

Obama cannot be forced to pick Clinton because of blackmail from Clinton supporters. He should call their bluff. If they would rather vote for McCain so be it. And when McCain gets in and takes away their abortion rights, and their sons and daughters continue to die in Iraq, dont come crying to Obama then. The notion that you will vote for your enermy just to spite Obama shows how lunatic these people are. Obama outsmart Clinton by beating her. Her supporters need to face the facts.

These comments threatening to vote for John McCain by Clinton supporters is really getting old. We get it that your candidate did not win the nomination and that your upset but you do not need to express your discontent in every single topic's comment section. It really looks pathetic. If you are going to go against the candidate that almost identically shares the same stance on all of the issues as Clinton, go head but save us the threats. It's very juvenile!

Like Bill Richardson, who failed to get Hispanics for Obama, Claire failed to get old white women. Obama needs someone that can deliver votes, or someone with respect like Howard Dean.

Obama/Dean or Obama/Edwards 08

Doesn't he get it that any other woman over Clinton would be a slap in the face to Clinton supporters? Doesn't he get it that Clinton is a more conservative Democrat, and that is WHY many of us voted for her?

Any female on the ticket will be seen and felt as a huge slap in the face to Hillary Clinton and the 18 million people that have supported her and voted for her. Don't even think about it.

Claire will be a great choice for VP. It would work perfectly but it would take Hillary supporting that move too. I have been with Obama from the start but I would love to see Hillary get something out of the deal. Picture this, Hillary announces that she is in no way interested in VP spot, supports Obama choice of McCaskill. Yes, it is all about politics, so Hillary would be entitiled to something, maybe Supreme Court, Sec of State, or maybe her own newly created Health Care Cabinet. If this happens, the Republicans can just forget about it!

If Obama said Donald Duck for VP, his supporters would rally behind him and say anyone but Clinton, however they can't understand why the Clinton supporters can't unite.
Where will this Country end up if all Americans follows this trend.
I am really starting to understand why we should vote for McCain and take a chance and not a change in this way. Obama supporters are to young to understand but I admire their efforts

Obama can do better. McCaskill had a tough campaign to win the election here in Missouri last time. She also has some baggage that goes with her that would be easy foder for the Republicans. Sebelius is a better choice if he wants a female from the midwest. Honestly, I don't think it will be either of them though (but both are better than HRC).

Still for Hill....Thats right vote for the overturning of Roe vs Wade, vote for continued tax benefits for the wealthy, vote against universal health care. Vote for continuing war in Iraq, and soon to be Iran if McCain is elected. See what happens to this country if you do that.

Ummm.. STILL FOR HILL... you have your facts wrong. Sounds like you're thinking of Jean Carnahan who was appointed to fill her husband's Senate seat in 2001. McCaskill has been in public service since 1978 and won her Senate seat in her own right by defeating incumbent Sen. Jim Talent in 2006.

We can understand why McCaskill said "I have complete trust in Senator Obama's judgment", it is just because Obama used his unique JUDGEMENT to choose the paster wright for his family and then have been there to listen the famous sermons for more than 20 years...it is just because he used his UNIQUE ADJUDGEMENT TO CHOOSE a good friend there who can bribe him with real estate......

I think Obama will need to take some time on this. There is no rush.

To Democrat Against Obama:
Hillary is no less of a powerful leader in the democratic party than she was. She isn't the nominee, that doesn't mean she isn't wielding tremendous power. You should not underestimate Hillary Clinton. The VP slot may not be the most powerful position for her.

Also just because Obama gets elected in November, doesn't mean Hillary can't run against him in 2012 for the nomination.

Couldn't we have Obama '08, Hillary '12, Hillary'16, Obama '20?
There are always possiblities. Obama '08 doesn't mean the end of anything for Hillary. She is young and strong, she's not going anywhere.

If Obama and Clinton are together they had better tell us who else is in the Cabinet. I want Bloomberg and Colin Powell as the Secretary of Defense and Richardson as Secretary of State.
Seriously can Hillary be considered as a Supreme Court after the Bosnia tale? Do you really think? There will be something for her after Dodd, Biden and some others.
What's with Strickland? Is he afraid of the 1in 6 who voted race in his state and he can't be seen with Obama?
[It is not like he is so popular with the layoff of state jobs soon.]
