Sen. Barack Obama goes for a bike ride in Chicago, Illinois, last Sunday.

(CNN) – As Barack Obama relaxed last weekend following his 15-month fight for the Democratic nomination, he struggled with an internal debate before going on a bike ride with his family – should he wear a helmet?

“I knew that the [Associated Press] was going to take a picture, and they were trying to portray it like Dukakis wearing that tank helmet,” Obama told donors at a $2,300-a-plate fundraiser in Chicago hosted by F.K Day, the president of World Bicycle Relief. “But I wanted to make sure that the children who saw that picture knew that even the Democratic nominee for president wears a helmet when he goes biking,” he said to hearty applause.

1988 Democratic nominee Michael Dukakis infamously donned a helmet for a photo-op in an M1 Abrams tank. It backfired and the picture was used by opponent George H.W. Bush in ads mocking Dukakis.

But despite scoring points from the bicycle-friendly crowd that included former Tour de France winner Greg Lemond, Obama acknowledged that the helmet didn’t make up for his stylishly-questionable get-up that included a polo shirt tucked into his jeans and sneakers.

“Now, obviously the rest of my apparel was apparently not up to snuff, because I got a hard time from all sorts of blogs,” he said, “Who said I looked like Urkel.”

There is no comparison!!
Dukakis–trying to play up to Democratic conservatives—and a father demonstrating proper bike safety to his kids–all kids by wearing a helmet–there is no relationship.

At least in the minds of those who despise him for other reasons…like his lame resume and weak executive skills.

Dan, TX   June 13th, 2008 12:32 pm ET

The republicans campaign strategy is all about personal destruction. Obama's campaign is about personal responsibility. Who do you think America is going to vote for? Bye Bye Republican Senators and Congressmen, you get tangled up with the RNC and you are toast.

Mike, Syracuse, NY   June 13th, 2008 12:32 pm ET

Well, his comparison to Urkel is correct. He's got about that much relevant experience.

They have this guy under an atomic microscope. They are looking for any little molecule out of order.

"SEE!! SEE!!! Misplaced proton…. He can't possibly be qualified to be president with that nucleus out of order like that!!!"

And besides, EVERYBODY looks dorky in bike helmets. I'm pretty sure thats why a lot of people don't wear them.

Why are there people posting "go Hillary" and Hillary 2012″ slogans on this blog? God does not promise anyone tomorrow, including Hillary Rodham Clinton. All we have is today.

So pathetic. Go Barack…never mind the idiots, the racists, the fear-mongers and the haters out here!

I'm an avid Republican and I don't go along with Baraks policies for governing the US, but when it comes to wearing the helmet, I applaud this man for showing the children of the US about safety.
I think we should get down to politics as news and leave these trivial matters to the Tabloids as news. I'm mean after all, George Bush wears a helmet when he goes bike riding and that doesn't make news.

OBAMA 08- OO8   June 13th, 2008 12:29 pm ET

Come on people, I sit and read some of the blogs everyday. You know americans are getting more ignorant by the day. Some of the comments that are posted, are just ridiculus. Who cares he he had on a helmet or not? He still has to show safety and responsibilities to his daughters. If he didn't there would be someone waiting to say that he was not a responsible parent. We all need to take a step back and remember what is important. Whether you like him or HRC, you fail to realize that most are just a pay check away from losing what you're worked so hard for. Some not even a paycheck away. For those of you so pissed off, vote for McCain if you wanna. And you definitely will be less than a check away from being out on the streets! Because both he and HRC, share the same values. You better put the hatorade up,
and stop acting as though we are the wealthy ones walking around, but really brokier than broke! :) Have a wonderful day! NC for Obama!

Dismayed   June 13th, 2008 12:28 pm ET

Different republican candidate…same old nastiness!!! I have found that the so-called Bible-believing, family vaules "conservatives" are not so conservative when it comes to running a campaign. They use scare tactics, bullying, and defamation of a person's character to accomplish their goals. If someone criticized Laura Bush, republicans would demand an apology (public of course), an arm, a leg, and a vital organ. THEY are the ones we all should fear.

Will   June 13th, 2008 12:28 pm ET

Do you know why this is news? Obama wants to distract voters from the problems with his campaign where there are lobbyists and shady characters in every nook and cranny. The more we look at his goofiness, the less we look at his corruption.

Charlotte   June 13th, 2008 12:28 pm ET

Who is Urkel? I like the way Obama pulls the inane comments about he and Michelle apart in an intelligent way so everyone can laugh at the spin that the Republicans continue to throw out in the media. Keep your bike hat on Obama, it's safe and smart!

BettiH, Indianapolis, IN.   June 13th, 2008 12:28 pm ET

I love my future President Obama, but he is a bit nerdy on the bike with his helmet on.

kim   June 13th, 2008 12:28 pm ET

What's wrong with wearing jeans and a polo going for a bike ride? And why does the press have nothing better to do than take pictures of Obama going for a bike ride and then scrutinize his choice of clothing? The one thing I really like about Obama is that he calls things for what they are and speaks his mind. He wore a helmet because he knew he'd be scrutinized and you hear from his own mouth the thought process that went into actually wearing the helmet. I like that about him and I hope he doesn't roll over to political pressure and act like a subhuman like the rest of the politicians in this country.

Now, it's time for a response from the Republican Party. Can we get some shots of McCain riding his horse and buggy?

Belle   June 13th, 2008 12:21 pm ET

Just one more insult they can blame on someone else.

And once again Obama plays the blame game. If no one says anything about you say they did anyway (make everyone feel sorry for you). Say they called you (and your wife) black. There are always rumors and false statements made about candidates for national office. Other candidates must deal with rumors; why is he so so special and we must feel so so so sorry for him because someone is being mean.

If Obama wants to set up a website, who cares. I looked at that website; I was not impressed. He has no proof of any of the believable rumors; just "it is not so".

If that is his birth certificate, it has less information on it than any birth certificate I ever saw (not that I have ever seen an official Hawaiian birth certificate).

However, I know that I could have done a better job about denying the quotes from his book. Which "quotes" are incorrect; what page in the book will we find the real quote. A better answer would have been simply to say "read the book."

There is a video of him not placing his hand over his heart while the national anthem plays—he needs to explain that. Just saying it is not so is not good enough. Clearly it is true for that one time; nothing he can do will change that.

Once he excuses his (or her) action, he needs to stick with that excuse; don't excuse (or denounce) by degree. (Rev Wright and his church)

There is no way to excuse her "proud" statement. I don't care if there is a video of her saying "whitey" or not; I can feel her hatred when I watch her speak. She is not proud of America; she does believe white people are to blame for all her ills.

McCrazy   June 13th, 2008 12:20 pm ET

Ok since the rest of the posts are closed: This is about McCain requesting co-townhall meetings.

The ONLY reason he is doing this is because Obama draws crowds of 50,000 regularly, while McCain draws 100. Normally i would be all for a debate, but in this case, McCain is only riding Obama's speech popularity.

That and Obama isnt very good at debating

And, McCain puts the world to sleep reading off his teleprompter.

McCain should just quit now, move to Iraq, put them to sleep with his teleprompted speeches, and then maybe we can finally leave.

That is why Americans will not elect him in November.

This is not a change we want for our country. McCain 08

I am a Speech Pathologist who works with head injured patients. I have also directed a community/school program in my town which educates children re: importance of wearing seat belts and helmets and rewards them for doing so.

Research shows that the more parents wear their helmets, the more their children do-a direct correlation. Not only was Barack being smart in protecting himself, he was being a good role model for his children. There is nothing "gorky" about that.

Imagine if he had not worn one, and had somehow been involved in an accident which caused him a head injury. Where would that leave him, his family and the hope for the Democratic party and the country?

The media needs to smarten up and not be so petty!!

I like his judgement. He was willing to look the fool, just to help inform and inforce to kids that they should wear a helmet. And the fact that he even took the time to consider the correct out come of such a small task as wearing a helmet just goes to show he will think twice as hard on all matters of importance and weigh in all factors before making any decisions. McCain just bullies his way straight ahead and never worries about what the final out come will be or how is will affect people in everyday life.

Either way, Obama is the best packaged and marketed candidate since George W. Bush.

As a result of political malpratice on the part of the failed and undemocratic Democratic Party leadership, Obama now has significant power and, the more we watch him wield it, the more he looks like the very thing that he has always—in his entire 16 months as a national figure—claimed he is not.

Why is that? Mostly, I think that it is precisely because of the way he hastily and illegitimately gained his power…

The façade that enabled Obama to trick people into voting for him during the first half of the nomination process is coming off!

The majority of Americans are overweight or obese, right? Unhealthy people often have the "look" of being unhealthy, tired, drained… and neither feel nor perform in life as well as those who are fit and active. So Obama takes a bike ride and the focus is on the style of his clothing — with even that Dukakis reference, as if even THAT mattered! Why isn't this on Entertainment News or some flaky personality-bashing show, rather than CNN?! Alexander Marquardt needs to re-think his job title as a journalist if this is the drivel he's willing to cover. Really! There's a kind of despair in knowing the difficulties American families and American troops face, and yet all the major news sources burn up their space and our time with superficial drivel.

Hopefully, were Dukakis to don his helmet today, we all would be better prepared to ignore the Republican campaign of hate and shamefulness that brought our country to where it is today. Horrible recession with gas prices out the wazoo, a six (so far) year war with no end in sight, a complete loss of prestige abroad, etc. etc.

And someone might actually choose to vote Republican based on a helmet?

HOLY CRAP!!!!!

Can't this guy do ANYTHING without people getting their underwear all bunched up!??

In Some states it is the LAW to wear a Helmet.

Nsikan   June 13th, 2008 12:05 pm ET

I think the high mud flap was to connect his younger daugther that may not be ridding a two-wheeler yet. The helmet was also a way of encouraging her and other kids to put it on. Good parents lead by example – sometimes you talk and act funny to encourage them (kids). I am sure Obama takes pleasure creating fun for a tense environment like ours. He wanted us to know he is one of us and he is. Who is crying foul about his fashion?

jfs Memhis, Tn   June 13th, 2008 12:05 pm ET

HE's a father of a YOUNG Family ……….unlike most candidates in the last 12 years or more. He has to set an example as a Parent First ..and then a candidate. I think the fact that the Obama's have such a young Family that the McCain Group should be CAREFUL with the mud !!! Like "baby mama" comments etc. These folks have quite young children ….unlike McCain and the Clinton's, and have different concerns as to what ther kids are exposed to.

Dave, Laguna Niguel, California   June 13th, 2008 12:05 pm ET

Who cares what he does? How long till we have to see cheesy pics of the great "savior" going to the bathroom? Can't wait . . . .

jane in CA   June 13th, 2008 12:05 pm ET

Senator Obama and his camp should focus on how to bring us all out of the current administration's holes by showing more open end plans on infrastructure, economic, energy, and national security as well as phasing troop withdrawal issues and spend less time on defending the muds throwing from McCain camp.

Linda K.   June 13th, 2008 12:04 pm ET

What happened to real news? Maybe AP should get a photograph showing how he brushes his teeth or puts on his shoes.

Stop treating the American public like morons!

obamacan   June 13th, 2008 12:04 pm ET

If he wears a helmet….he is Dukakis….if he doesn't he doesn't care about kids! Yikes! I would rather him look like Dukakis and role model for kids. I don't care what the press says…I am a mom and I appreciate it!

Not So Delusional   June 13th, 2008 12:04 pm ET

OMG. Barack you do look like Urkel…. I can see it now. Seen of ICBMs flying through the air. Camera switches to a picture of Barack in his Urkel like outfit pushing a red button saying, "Did I Do that?"

Just kidding Barack. This Republican Vet loves ya.

By the way… This is the FIRST time that i've seen an article (not this one but another) that truly shows the sort of impact that Barack is having on other countries. When do you ever see that in a US election? Even my nasty sister and mother-in-law from Europe have been keeping a very close eye on the election and are cheering for Barack Obama.

Why not have a discussion about his underwear too.

Briefs or boxers? Can they make or break a Presidential candidate?

Joe Regis   June 13th, 2008 12:02 pm ET

Come on Obama.

Get a bigger helmet.

This one looks too small.

sherry   June 13th, 2008 12:02 pm ET

Obama by wearing his helmet is setting a good example for kids.Safety first over trying to look good. Maybe thats why Obama is so smart because he has protected his head. McCain should wear a helmet too when he rides……..Oh wait does he still remember how to ride one or is he too old?

Alice   June 13th, 2008 12:01 pm ET

Hopefully, were Dukakis to don his helmet today, we all would be better prepared to ignore the Republican campaign of hate and shamefulness that brought our country to where it is today. Horrible recession with gas prices out the wazoo, a six (so far) year war with no end in sight, a complete loss of prestige abroad, etc. etc.

And someone might actually choose to vote Republican based on a helmet?

I'm disgusted that people are still trying to play up some silly stigma with wearing a helmet!! Are you going to make fun of his grades now too?! Helmets save lives. Period. Wouldn't it be great if the rest of our leaders had the marbles to put their role model status to good use rather than blantant hypocrisy?

CNN YOU are NOT in charge of Obama's campaign!

VET the candidates please.

Common Sense   June 13th, 2008 11:59 am ET

Ok, how is this in any way an issue? Is Obama under the belief that every single thing he does will automatically be used against him? Is he really that insecure? After all, President Bush wears a helmet all the time when he rides his bike (though he is more of an off-road biker than on the street). I think Obama needs to relax and be less paranoid.

Paul, Riverside, CA   June 13th, 2008 11:58 am ET

Sorry, but you are really behind on this.

Chris from San Antonio   June 13th, 2008 11:58 am ET

I don't doubt that the only ammo the GOP has is to mock someone for being safe.
They can't talk about the economy. They can't talk about the Iraq War. All they have is a helmet and who Obama chooses to have on his committee to select a VP.
America has gotten smarter over the past 7 years (hopefully). When the best the GOP can come up with is "vote for me because we're not Obama," you know it's going to be a long summer.

randy   June 13th, 2008 11:58 am ET

Obama is down to earth so people be nice and learn from this man.

Dennis   June 13th, 2008 11:58 am ET

It was the responsible thing to do. I wouldn't worry about it too much. He was attempting to be safe while enjoying time with his family, not make himself out to be involved in military affairs with a stupid photo op.

Ok everyone- I am voting for Obama…but that get-up does make him look like Urkel's big brother. However, I have no problem with my President having a law degree from Havard and a background as a professor of Constiutional Law, in additon tocommunity organizing in low income neighborhoods and being looked upon fondly by the international communtiy. Did I mention that he advocates for bike safety too? My advice, vote for Obama, but wear some shorts or sweat pants when you go bike riding! LOL—OBAMA 2008

Those comparing how you look says a lot… if gas prices continue to. go up… many with have to get a bike.

Also… for some commenting on this blog – when was the last time you rode a bike or went on a walk with your family?

Better yet… do you have a life?

Stephon L. Scott   June 13th, 2008 11:51 am ET

Is this really news worthy? No!

CNN, your beginning to look very suspect in your coverage of Sen. Obama. You don't nearly cover actual relevant matters related to Sen. McCain, but you insist on covering "NON-NEWS" about Sen. Obama. Alexander Marquardt (the author of this non-news worthy article), it seems to me that you're trying to make this a so-called Dukakis momement, which should have meritless on its face. That is silly and irresponsible…not journalism.

As for the rest of the bloggers, this is not a game, as the media is trying to portray it…this IS your future, and thus, you shouldn't allow anyone to turn it into a sport.

David in Illinois   June 13th, 2008 11:49 am ET

It's all about safety. Nobody looks good in a bike helmet, but I sure love seeing my wife and kids wearing them.

This is just more pettiness from GOPers and GOPers who play Dems but share the same mean-spirited values as most Republicans. Does anybody remember that we're at war (Obama wouldn't have let that happen), gas prices are closing in on $5 a gallon (diesel is already there in many parts of the nation), more people are losing their jobs daily, healthcare costs too much in our country and millions don't have any insurance … thelist of REAL issues goes on and on.

People talking about Obama's bike helmet are simply pathetic. And that pretty much sums up the GOP today.

Safety is not always pretty but is responsible. So is pulling our brave men and women out of Iraq.

Leaving them there because it is not important when they return home is NOT responsible. Staying in Iraq 100 years is NOT responsible. Supporting a war that the Senate's own report discovered was based on lies that President Bush AND Senator McCain knew in advance is NOT responsible.

Anyone who votes for McCain will regret it because if he is elected you will look back fondly on these days of cheap $4.00 a gal gas.

Brian Knoxville, TN   June 13th, 2008 11:48 am ET

Either way, Obama is the best packaged and marketed candidate since George W. Bush.

As a result of political malpratice on the part of the failed undemocratic Democratic Party leadership, Obama now has significant power and, the more we watch him wield it, the more he looks like the very thing that he has always—in his entire 16 months as a national figure—claimed he is not.

Why is that? Mostly, I think that it is precisely because of the way he hastily and illegitimately gained his power…

The façade that enabled Obama to trick people into voting for him during the first half of the nomination process is coming off!

Safety first is what matters. If you have every seen the results of TBI from people riding bikes, motorcycles, etc. that didn't wear helmets, you'd think twice of how important it is to protect your head. I'm sure his children must do the same when bike riding so Obama is teaching by example.

David Cunard   June 13th, 2008 11:45 am ET

I hope he'll be better as a president than he is pedaling a bike – his toes should be on the pedals not the middle of his foot. If he can't learn to pedal properly . . .

I think this is a great "image" picture. The image that he is trying to show is that he is setting a good example to his daughters on safety. Even dad looks goofy in a helmet. A great image to his daughters to spend time outside, unlike most kids that are addicted to video games.

Why is this news ??   June 13th, 2008 11:44 am ET

Okay, and why is this news ??????

Ron   June 13th, 2008 11:44 am ET

Jan from Boca Raton, FL, it's clear that no matter what he does you're just never going to like him. Do you really need to leave an insult like that on a more light-hearted story such as this? He knows that the press will snap photos of him whereever he goes, so he figured he should at least set the right example for children to wear safety helmets when bike riding. And for this too, you make a juvenile insult. Why don't YOU go away!

Peter Damoah-Afari   June 13th, 2008 11:43 am ET

Can CNN find a good topic for people to read at all? What is all this about? Can't CNN tell us more about the great things that Obama is doing instead of these meaningless topics??

Jim   June 13th, 2008 11:43 am ET

Jan from Boca, yeah lets have a c- president, look where that got us… grow up this isn't high school!

Tony, NYC   June 13th, 2008 11:43 am ET

Mr. Obama, Could you please talk about Larry Sinclair for us! Im sure if this was NOT ture then you would have added it to your new website. But I did not see it listed on there. So are you saying this is true?

BIG WIG   June 13th, 2008 11:43 am ET

Attacking Michelle like that is not nice. She is the first lady and thats thats. Respect. She did not make herself. Everyone is pretty in their own way. Don't judge a book by it's cover. We don't know her personally but what i've seen, I really do like and adore Michelle. She seems to be strong and confident.

Go Michelle-Love you- Obama 08.

Alex M   June 13th, 2008 11:43 am ET

CNN… are you serious? Why dont you get a real job.

Obama '08

New Day   June 13th, 2008 11:42 am ET

CNN Political Ticker: Lame, or a victim of a slow news day?

Safety First   June 13th, 2008 11:42 am ET

I think it was a good idea for Obama to show that he is concerned about bike safety…. It is a good thing he uses his head…

OBAMA 08…

allen   June 13th, 2008 11:42 am ET

HA HA HA!
Boy, frankness is refreshing.

NoMcSame   June 13th, 2008 11:41 am ET

McSame can't ride a bike because of those robot arms that he has. They give me the creeps. Don't need to hear about how they got like that either. I don't really care because I don't like the guy. He was a POW but at least he made it back but he and Bush are sending kids off to DIE. No POWS in this fight they just make heads roll. Sad but true. Bring them home.
No To McSame McKiller McFlipFlop.

Frances   June 13th, 2008 11:41 am ET

Wow, CNN, get a hobby.

Darius   June 13th, 2008 11:41 am ET

Comparing Obama to Dukakis? Shame on you, CNN.

WAKE UP   June 13th, 2008 11:41 am ET

okay..why is this a story? aren't there more serious issues?

Mish   June 13th, 2008 11:41 am ET

For Gods sake CNN find some real news!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go out and find some negative news about MCBUSH and get off
Senator Obamas back!!!!!
Its absurd how all your news is so biased against Obama!!!
There is another candidate in case you didnt realize that!!!!
Like this news….Pathetic!!

Derrick in Houston, Texas   June 13th, 2008 11:41 am ET

…..people are really questioning the fact that he wore a helmet to go bike riding with his kids? Now, if he hadn't had the helmet on then it would be a holy uproar.

Robert in Toronto,ON   June 13th, 2008 11:40 am ET

I love the man but…seriously, B – you cannot go out on the streeet looking this maaaaaaaan! You givin us brothas a bad rap with!

You need some Stacy and Clinton in your life. Quick!

NO MCCAIN   June 13th, 2008 11:40 am ET

EVERYONE LOVES OBAMA. HE IS A REAL PERSON, NOT LIKE SANTA CLAUS MCCAIN WHO COCNSTANTLY WEARS GEORGE BUSH'S RED SUIT, AND OF COURSE MARRIED TO BARBIE, WHO WE KNOW DOES NOT EXIST AT ALL. I DON'T SEE CINDY MCCAIN CARRYING CHILDREN IN SUDAN, THEIR COLOR MAY CHANGE THE COLOR OF HER HAIR…RIGHT?

DEMOCRAT FOR MCCAIN   June 13th, 2008 11:40 am ET

JL   June 13th, 2008 11:40 am ET

He looked like a completely normal dad out with his family…

But yeah, also like Urkel. Sorry.

Loretta from California   June 13th, 2008 11:40 am ET

Well, CNN why don't you give us the complete picture? He had his daughters bike connected to his and you know it. He is setting a wonderful example for her.

White small town for Obama !!   June 13th, 2008 11:40 am ET

We love you OBAMA!! Doesn't matter how you look like, is not about looks is about CHANGE!!!

And great example for the kids!!

JJ   June 13th, 2008 11:40 am ET

I didn't care about the helmet (safety first) it was the rest of his apparel that threw me for a loop. He really did look like urkel. Bad fashion statement

Mr. Obama (Mr. President),
Please don't wear that outfit again! :-)

After further review,Texas.   June 13th, 2008 11:39 am ET

That mudflap has got to go,lol

Barack the Vote in RI   June 13th, 2008 11:39 am ET

Give me a friggin break…..why is this news????

J.C.   June 13th, 2008 11:39 am ET

That's one nominee that remembers education all the time.

Tim   June 13th, 2008 11:38 am ET

The Republicans are in real trouble. They haven't got a prayer on the issues, so they have to try to distract on laughable issues that are purely pathetic. McSame is toast!!!

Obama 08/12!!

Kenneth   June 13th, 2008 11:38 am ET

where the helment better be safe then sorry later.

Timothy   June 13th, 2008 11:38 am ET

Stupid story

tony   June 13th, 2008 11:37 am ET

Didn't realize how really frail he looks—
Even at 71 McCain looks stronger

Elly   June 13th, 2008 11:37 am ET

Who cares about this. What we care about is Larry Sinclair!!! Come on Obama, why did you not add this to you Truth Website? Maybe this is TRUE!

KM   June 13th, 2008 11:37 am ET

Forget about the helmet, I want to know what is the purpose of that high mud flap on the back of the bike?

Kiah   June 13th, 2008 11:36 am ET

Um this pic does nothing for his image! He should definitely take a walk on the wild side the next time he decides to go riding.

Eugene   June 13th, 2008 11:36 am ET

Anyone that can poke fun at himself as Urkel is fine.

Joe PA   June 13th, 2008 11:36 am ET

He does look like Urkel!!!!! And thats fine by me.

Steve   June 13th, 2008 11:35 am ET

So now we're judging candidates based upon their safety equipment and what they're wearing? Wow! I thought this was CNN, not Vogue.

Independent for Obama   June 13th, 2008 11:35 am ET

I agree – better the kids see you with a helmet on and safe, than you "look cool" on a bike.

I have actually seen on tv discussions of the socks he was wearing – give it a rest, CNN!! The guy went for a bike ride, who CARES what he wore?

Jan from Boca Raton, fl   June 13th, 2008 11:34 am ET

He looks like a "dork" and acts like a 'Dork"

Oh,Ya , We can really be proud of this man.

Obama GO AWAY

Jim   June 13th, 2008 11:34 am ET

He has a friendly sense of humor though :)

Alex   June 13th, 2008 11:33 am ET

Okay this is old..why are you repeating this?

Shasta   June 13th, 2008 11:33 am ET

I absolutely love this man. What a great sense of humor! And he's right- if he hadn't worn a helmet, he would have gotten so much more flak.

Jim   June 13th, 2008 11:33 am ET

It's nice that Obama is answering the presses questions but WHY is this considered news!? This is starting to remind me of a paporazzi website…c'mon CNN…

alicia   June 13th, 2008 11:32 am ET

Its nice to see someone choose safety over looks.
